Question on HTTP with Java

Question

I have a web page that adds any visitors ip address to a list that it maintains. Does anyone know how I can visit this page froma Java application to produce the same result. The page does not need to be displayed by the Java application, only "visited". If somebody could please tell me how to do this I would be very thankful.

Try to compile the program shown below and run it to see if it works for you (to run the program, type java testVisit URL where URL is the full address to your web page:
