Hi All,
I am in the process of implementing an external facing portal for anonymous group with quicklinks.
I have a main page where I have many "a href" links.
The targets of these links are quicklinks to various anonymous scheme iviews. Now I have implemented an anonymous portal for which reason all my targets in the a href links are like: anonymous/ql1, anonymous/ql2 etc..
It works fine. So far my portal url is "http://<host>:<port>/irj/portal/anonymous". So when I navigate from the main page to my iview (ql1) the url formed is "http://<host>:<port>/irj/portal/anonymous/ql1"
For the finished product we may need to give a site name like "http://www.abc.com". Will this affect my methodology.
Can you please tell me how this is configured and whether after doing so, it will navigate like this: "http://www.abc.com/ql1"

Hi Prem,
One way to achieve that would be to do a URL rewriting. You can achieve that by placing a reverse proxy in front of your portal server.
The other option would be to put something on the WAS which would intercept every request and rewrite URL's to /anonymous. But you have to take into account some URL's that you don't want to add /anonymous, because there has to be a way to still get to the admin interface.

Well yes of course, if you try and publish through iWeb there won't be an option to publish without your site folder which is exactly why I told you to download Cyberduck and use Cyberduck to upload your site to your server having published your site from iWeb to a local folder. That is what you need to do if you don't want your site name to be included in yoru url.
It would have been easier also if you had used Cyberduck initially to connect to your server and delete your old site yourself - at least that way you would have deleted the correct files rather than relying on your hosting service to do it and doing it incorrectly.
Download Cyberduck and then select the publish to a local folder option from iWeb and then use Cyberduck to upload your site to your server, but rather than uploading the whole site folder and separate index file, upload ONLY the contents of your site folder and then your url will be http://www.domain.com/page_name.html.

Well it seems that you did not explain to us the full story. Did you change ISP's or something? Why would it not show up anymore?
What colour is the light on the time-capsule? If it's blinking amber, then you probably need to do a factory-reset. That should get it to show up again in AirPort Utility.

Trying to save a document with a new file name

I have a IMacOSX Lion
I am very new to apple products
How do I save an existing document with a new file name thereby having two documents the old one and the new one with changes? Once a document has been saved once opening File no longer offers the save or Save as choice. Clicking on Save a version does not work either. Please help!

What application are you using?
Most Apple apps have adopted a new file saving scheme for what you describe. In Pages, for instance, you go to the File menu and select Duplicate. You end up with two documents, one labeled xxx copy (if the original was xxx). Now you can save xxx copy by using Save from the File menu, and change the name to whatever you want.

I need to find out why documents that are park in FBV0 do not update with the new user name when any changes are made. Also when we park using MIR7 and make changes to the documents at a later time the document updates with the new users name.

I have checked this in system. I posted one Parked invoice using T.code FV60 and there i appeared my name because i created. But after some time one of my collegue changed the reference and text field with his login i.d. But still in the invoice it is showing as my name whereas if we go to the environmnet, there in the changes we can see what are the changes done and it is appearing my collegues user i.d. But in the main invoice it is still appearing my name.

PSE did what you told it to do. Choose the Straighten and crop edges or fill edges options when you use the straighten tool if you want it to do more than just straighten the contents of the image. Many people prefer the plain straighten because they'd rather crop themselves than let PSE do it.

Untrusted forest with duplicate AD site names

Can anyone speculate on the behavior when enabling Forest discovery of an untrusted forest that has AD sites with the same names as what are in the installed forest (The forest where Config Mgr lives)?
My concern is that the currently discovered boundaries (AD Site boundaries) already exist with the Site names so there may be some kind of conflict when Config Mgr tries to create AD Site boundaries based on the untrusted forest's duplicate named AD sites.

There will be a conflict, but not with Forest discovery per se. I don't think it will really care. The conflict will come when clients actually use the boundaries for content lookup.
Do the like-named sites represent the same locations in the enterprise? If so, then this should be a non-issue. If not, then you'll have to switch to another boundary type or get the AD folks to rename their sites -- it would be kind of dumb to name two
different locations the same thing though so I suspect the former is the case.

Music files moved to a new network drive with a new volume name

I had to replace my old network attached harddisk which held all my music ( mainly mp3 ) files. This drive was automounted and had the name "MUSICHD". My new network attached storage device ( LACIE Ethernet Disk mini 500GB ) has the volume name "SHARE" and it's not possible to change it.
I copied all the files onto the the new drive, but now I have to tell iTunes that the files are not longer on a volume called MUSICHD. Could somebody be so kind and give me an advice how to do it. Shure I could re-import all the music files, but I don't like to loose all my ratings, playlists, etc.

to be precise. I don't let iTunes manage my files. All my mp3 files are on a NAS ( Network Attached Storage ) device ( it's a 300 GB Harddisk with a 1GBit network connection from Buffalow ).
If I add mp3 files to my library I first copy it to the NAS device and than drag and drop the files to the iTunes library. So iTunes only manages the links to that files. Files are not imported or copied to/with iTunes.
Now I have to replace that NAS device by another one. Due to this replacement I have to change the network volume-name of the device. This share is part of the link in the iTunes database for each file.
If you look into the xml file you'll find something like this:

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

Website is now in centre of page, built new site using "cc" but with some problems

Hello everyone I said I would come back with the new site, and just as well as I'm having one or two small problems, starting with!
New Website, rollover buttons not holding colour in place when clicked
And someone has told me that it is a great site, but the images in the box with the yellow frame dont show up unless I tilt the screen at an odd angle, I think he means the hero image! and is sounds
like he is using a tablet

I might have made one or two mistakes when building this site, I take my hat off to you Web Designers, this has taken me a week to build you could have dune it in about two hours lol

On each of your pages you need to add the class="thispage" to your anchor tags.
So the 'About Me' page link looks like below:

They are all quite a subtle grey tone but the one I cannot see is on the 'About Me' page. You just need to bring the grey tone up a few stops.

Restore database with new DB name

I'm trying to restore a database from a hot backup with a new database name. I'm trying to use the backup control file with the SET DATABASE in the control file. That works ok, but when I run RECOVER DATABASE USING BACKUP CONTROLFILE I get errors such as
ORA-00279: change 1516911820 generated at 09/08/2006 17:14:43 needed for thread 1
and ORA-00308: cannot open archived log
Can anyone help me? I'm not using RMAN currently with the DUPLICATE command because I'm running on NetApp filers and it would be much faster to duplicate the database this way. Also, I'm duplicating on the same server so I need to use a different instance name.

Assuming source is in Archive Log mode.
Your scenario is :-
Cloning Database in the same server using OS copy.
I believe you are stuck with recovery issues, what you need to do is feed the archive log that the database is asking for. You can also try giving it the redo logs.
RECOVER DATABASE USING BACKUP CONTROLFILE;
feed it the archive/redo logs. Till you get a Media recovery complete message.

Dreamweaver CS4 - Existing Site Name Changed in Manage Sites

Please help me! I have an existing site name from Manage Sites become slightly different site name from original.
For example, existing site name was fashionstars, now become ftp://fashionstars, with ftp:// in it. ( It happen when I did some try and error approach to do certain task, or press the wrong buttons etc) Is there any possibility to change back to original name fashionstars and how to do it? Otherwise I won't be able to upload files to remote site because of different site name appeared in Manage Sites.
Should I remove the modified site name ftp://fashionstars and recreate a new site name fashionstars and copy all exiting files from local site folder to new fashionstars?

Additional information, I use MacBook Pro to run Dreamweaver CS4. The existing site has 150 MB file size, hundreds of files, so to recreate new site name, it has to start to create all manually, will take a long time. Is there any other ways I can recreate site fashionstars without to start all over again?
I am very worry about this, it may not be able to fix it. My website is stuck, won't be able to upload files any more.
Another problem is that I lost the SITE DEFINITIONS for fashionstars or htp://fashionstars . When I go to Manage Sites to edit site of ftp://fashionstars, it goes to CONFIGURE SERVER, not the SITE DEFINITIONS for fashionstars or ftp://fashionstars. Please help me.

How to change unlinked subreport with a newer version without having to delete and recreate in the main report?

I am using crystal reports version 11 and have inherited a report with 5 sub reports. Here we version the each report that contains changes. Is there a way that I can change the pointer for the sub report to the latest version? The person who gave me these reports stated that he deleted the old sub report and inserted the new sub report. The issue with doing this is you lose all you positioning and have to perform these tasks again. This seems like a lot of work especially if the upgrade to the sub report was only cosmetic. If I could update the link with the new report name it would make things easier.

I had a similar situation where i had 4 different main reports that has 20 sub reports each.
Best steps i figured out to keep track is:
1- I do not create a sub report on the fly. (origanlly- sub reports were built by "create a sub report with the report wizard"
so First i save all the sub-reports independently, and gave them corresponding name to their data fetch.
On inserting report as a sub report i used the option "Choose an Existing Report"
2- Since i had 4 different report, i created 4 seprate folders for each report. And then Sub folders for Sub reports.
3- Any changes in the sub report would have a different copy, and saved with the date stamp. In summary info, Comments section, I will type the update detail.
For Formatting changes alone:
I create a fake group inside the report and drop a Text box. The box would have comments about the formatting and suppressed (only to seen at design mode).
