Quizzes - More than 1 question per screen

Hi There,
I am new to capptivate this week and am wanting to know if
anyone knows how to place more than one quiz question on a single
screen?

Nope. One question per slide is what you get with Captivate.
We do see this come up on a fairly regular basis, so it must be a
reasonably common request. One that you should alert the
development team to.

You can make a Book and have a photo on one side and your text description on the other.

Height:100% is actually more than 100% of screen window??

I am trying to make the div with all the product descriptions
size to height:100% of the users screen. Right now I have the body
height set to 88% so that the main content will fit most screens
pretty nicely, but it's not perfect by any means. If I size
body:100% the scroll_content div gets too large. I would love to
have the scroll_content div end at the bottom of the screen for
each screen size and resolution. I know the reason for this glitch
is some conflict with my padding or margin in my rather large
stylesheet, but I just can't figure it out. Any help would be MUCH
appreciated! Let me know if you can't see my css/html and I'll be
glad to post it (I guess I'm assuming you all have the web
developer extension for Firefox).

There are other ways to keep such elements in place, even if
the entire
rest of the page is scrollable in a normal way. This is one
of the rare
situations where absolute positioning might be a helpful

Very long pages should be split, which is much better than a
tiny little
hard-to-grab scrollbar slider.

People are used to that. The [pos1] key exists and some sites
even use
links to jump back to the top/TOC. You're seeing a problem
which isn't
one really.

That's the main problem with your approach, simply because it
can't be
done properly! It will always be either too small or too big.
Another little thing: You don't have a background color
defined for the
page body. Not every browser uses white by default.

Video - can you have more than one per session?

Can I have more than one video in a logic session - like one at the top of a session then 5 minutes later drop another in? I know Pro Tools has multiple video tracks. How do composers out there deal with new cuts etc?

ProTools can do it, Cubase can do it, Digital performer (I think) can do it, ....
Logic can NOT do it. Only one quicktime clip per project at a time.
Logic is owned by Apple which created the Quicktime standard but still they haven't figured it out how to implement that into Logic. Maybe the Logic developers should just pick up the phone and ask the guys over at ProTool how they did it.

Redo Log Files - more than 12 per hour

Hello @all,
I have a problem with my redo log files. I get more than 12 switches per Hour. I have 3 Files with 5oM size. I increased the sitz to 15o M, but
I still have 12 switches per hour.
Do anyone know, what I did wrong?

As I said somewhere above too, 150meg is a tiny size if you are managing a production db. I have already mentioned that make your log file size to at least 500meg and than check. As for the high redo activity, only you can confirm that whether this has been started from now only or was happening before too? In anycase, for an active oltp, 500 to 1gb of redo log file size should be okay.
For the extra redo generation, you have been given link for mining log files using logminer. Try using it to see what is causing extra redo.

How can I check the number of lines per inch in my document (I need no more than 6 per inch!!)

I need to produce a dopcument in New times Roman with a minimun of 12 ot font size, single spaced and , with no more than 6 lines of type per inch?
How can I check that I do not have more then 6 lines per inch?

If this is about Pages for iOs, you can certainly set TNR adn 12 pts, but no, there is no lines per inch settings.
If this is about Pages for OS X, you are in the wrong forum.

Slow (no more than 7 per minute) sent emails in a status update for many situation

We have a new Exchange 2010 system and the need of nightly status for a large number of customers.
Initially, I simply increased the number of mails the involved email accounts could send and that allowed them to deliver.
The problem then was/is that they are still limited to about 7 mails per minute.
At this stage I increased the connection throttling from 20 to 2000, though the average of 7/min is still the norm.
Here are commands I used for throttling increase:
New-ThrottlingPolicy -name 2000EmailMaxConcurr -RCAMaxConcurrency 2000
Set-Mailbox address1 -ThrottlingPolicy 2000EmailMaxConcurr
Set-Mailbox address2 -ThrottlingPolicy 2000EmailMaxConcurr
have read of other efforts, but though assistance rather then cluttered rule implementation was in order.
Anyone have a similar issue and solution?
In my last mass mailing instance, a 2003 installation, I do not recall having to alter the default to allow more than 7 emails per minute from an address.

Yesterday I confirmed ThrottlingPolicy of -RCAMaxConcurrency $null applied to
the appropriate email addresses.
This morning, the report of Monday night's emails stil listed 7 per minute.

The pitcure on the play screen front left is larger 50% more than the edit screen right side is zoomed in.

Hello Whats up with cs6??Is it me or is it the cs6.. QUESTION On the front right screen the recorded picture that I want to send over to the right edit side is just what I want but when I send it over it gets zoomed in50% closer than the original. WHY? and HOW DO I CHANGE THIS?

First of all, let's get some terminology straight. That may actually help you understand what's going on. The monitor on the left that you refer to as the "play side" is called the Source Monitor because it shows source clip. It always shows clips at their native resolution (e.g., 1920 x 1080 or 720 x 480). And unless you have applied master clip effects, it shows them exactly as they came off of the camera or out of whatever app wrote them.
The monitor on the right that you refer to as the "transfer side" is the Program Monitor. It shows a composite of whatever is under the playhead in the sequence that's loaded in the active Timeline panel. If a source clip's resolution does not match the height & width of the sequence settings, then it will appear either zoomed in, where you can see only the center of the image, or zoomed out, where the frame is surrounded by black (or the layer underneath it).
From the way you describe the problem, I'm not sure whether the Program Monitor is zoomed in our out, which means it's not clear whether a) the sequence is SD and isn't showing the full HD clip, or b) the sequence is HD and the SD clip is small within the frame. Note that Arjun asked you specifically "what are your sequence settings," and you have not yet answered that key question.
Because you are working with content in two very different resolutions, if you want to edit the clips together in the same sequence, you'll first have to decide whether to work in an SD or HD sequence. Since you mention that you intend to burn a DVD, which by definition is standard definition (you have to use Blu-ray to burn a disc that is HD), I'll assume you want the sequence to be SD. Incidentally, in cases of mixed resolution like yours, that's what is generally advised because scaling the HD content down generally yields much better results than scaling the SD content up.
As Shooter has advised (twice), in order to get the sequence to match your source content, drag the clip that you want to match to the New button in the bottom right corner of the Project panel. If you scaled the SD content up, that would explain why the focus is not as good in the Program Monitor...
Now, when you drag your HD clip to the Timeline, it will be zoomed in (unless you have enabled the preference "Default Scale to Frame Size). You can correct that by right clicking the clip in the Timeline and selecting either "Scale to Frame Size" or "Set to Frame Size." Another detail you left out is whether your SD content is 4:3 or 16:9, which is controlled by the pixel aspect ratio. If it's 4:3, then Scale to Frame Size and Set to Frame Size will leave the HD content letterboxed, in which case you'll probably want to adjust the scale setting under Motion in the Effect Controls panel.
Based on the nature of your questions and the terminology you use, you have not yet taken the time to learn about Premiere Pro. You might want to do so before asking questions like whether it is "a good program to do top quality editing." Premiere Pro is used daily by thousands of professional editors. It's been used to edit some feature films released by major studio as well as many movies and documentaries that have graced the likes of the Sundance and Toronto Film Festivals and quite a few television programs. So if you're using it for the first time and having some problems, that's perfectly natural and understandable, and we're happy to help you up the learning curve. But the odds are pretty good that the problems are user error, not shortcomings in the program.

Latest upgrade of itunes doesn't start up more than once per boot.

Since the latest upgrade (can't tell what version without rebooting my laptop), iTunes will only start up once per uptime session. If I plug in my iPod Touch, it will start up automatically just once, or if I start by selecting the Start Menu item to run iTunes, it will only start up once. After iTunes is closed, I must reboot the PC if I want to use iTunes. This is with Win7, but it takes me back to the early days of Win95 or ME - ahhh what memories! I'm glad that I can look at that as being in the past, but when it happens right now, I'm not particularly glad.
I can see that the iTunes Helper is running, and even iTunes.exe is running, but there's no program window visible, no icon in the tray... it's not running as far as I can see, and it's not very useful in that state. I can't see any way other than this of letting Apple know that they've trashed the new version of iTunes as far as my computer is concerned. It's just rather unhandy to have to reboot each time after I've finished using iTUnes. As a friend of mine used to say, there's nothing so unhandy as a handy thing that doesn't work...

And that's true for the latest version as well - no change. The process never goes away after I close iTunes - it just hangs around slowly getting bigger and bigger memory-wise. Plug in my iPod Touch, and nothing happens - no synch, nothing. If I kill off the process, then plug in the iPod, iTunes does start up, but it just hangs there, and never becomes truly running and useful. So, I don't know what "fix" broke my iTunes, but it's still requiring a reboot to get it working after it's been used once and closed. At least Win 7 boots pretty quickly on my laptop...

Browser does not seem to prompt for more than once per session, to accept untrusted sites. I have to close/open firefox to visit multiple untrusted sites in one sitting. Is there a way to fix?

I use firefox to connect to the console of different Sun/Oracle servers. The www pages are "untrusted" and I get a question to continue to connect or not. When I say continue, it pops up a window to either accept or deny the cert. This window, once I accept it, to continue to do my work. When I'm finished with that server and continue to another one, that window no longer pops up for me when another untrusted www page is loaded. But when I quit firefox, and then revisit the page, the dialogue pops up and I can accept the new cert and continue to work.
I'm considering going back to the older version of firefox as this is severely impacting my day to day use of it. I'm still trying to see if I can get around it by fiddling with different firefox options.

Thanks. I tested it, and found that I can create a bookmark in FolderA, and them manually copy it to FolderB, FolderC, and FolderD.
Once that is done, I tried the old method of "Bookmarks" --> "Bookmark This Page" and added it to FolderE. When I did that, it deleted the copy in FolderD but left the other three alone!
This is fine with me. I personally think this is a bug, because I don't think that Firefox should ever delete a bookmark without asking me (or at least, informing me). But now that I understand the algorithm, I can work around it. Thanks!

More than one external screen

Hello, I'm an owner of Macbook Pro (2.5GHz) i have an external screen plugged in by DVI on my macbook, I'm wandering if i can plugin another one display into my mac, i really would like to have my mac in the middle and one screen on the left and one on the right, it would be very helpful for my work.

I thought the new macbookpro (late 2008) offers dual-link DVI. from my understanding that would allow two separate screens (DVI of course) to be connected. I am planning to purchase my Mini DisplayPort to dual link DVI but I have no idea if it will work the way I imagine it to be. I have 2x 19" Dell 1908FP that has a combined dimension of 2560x1024pixels. The maximum resolution as listed on the tech specs of the Macbook pro list it as 2560 by 1600 supported by the Dual-link DVI. Remember that Dual Link DVI Adapter and the single DVI adapter are two separate products!

You're the second person in two days having trouble with the Telegraph update. Step one is a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.

If I visit a site more than once per day, that site comes up with plugins that don't work and a very altered display without photos or graphics-- can fix this by erasing all cookies and history, but am often required to do this 5x per day

So far have experienced this apparent reversion to HTML caches with my blog on Wordpress, Ebay and http://coloncancersupport.colonclub.com/viewforum.php?f=1

I'm having a little trouble understanding the part about your password having to be reset. Why is that happening??
Let's start with Firefox's settings:
(1) You can configure the password manager feature on this tab:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Security
There is a checkbox to enable/disable the feature.
There also is a "Saved Passwords" button to review and remove any passwords you do not want Firefox to keep.
That tab also has a feature to set a Master Password so that no one can use your saved passwords without knowing the Master Password. You may need to exit Firefox in order for Firefox to ask for that again.

(2) Site-specific permissions
If you want to use the password manager for other sites but NOT a particular site, you can configure that in the Permissions Manager.
In a new tab, type or paste '''about:permissions''' in the address bar and press Enter.
After the page loads, use the search box in the upper left corner to narrow down the list to the site you want to configure. Highlight the site on the left side, and on the right side, choose Block under Store Passwords.
(3) Form autocomplete suggestions
Separate from passwords, Firefox remembers entries you've made into forms (in most cases) and lists the matching ones below the form field in a drop-down.
To clear a suggestion, press the down arrow key to highlight it and press the Delete key.
To turn off this feature, see this article: [[Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms with your information]].
To review and selectively edit or delete form history entries, you need an add-on. For example, you could try this one: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/form-history-control/
