Radiobutton - determining which of group is selected

I can't for the life of me figure out how to determine which
individual radiobutton is 'dotted'. I have two radiobuttons in the
same group and I want them to make a certain movieclip object
visible. So you choose RB1, MC1 is to become visible. Choose RB2
and MC2 becomes visible. Of course, while making MC1 visible I'd
also like MC2 to hide and vice versa.
Also, there is a replay button which needs to determine which
RB is 'dotted' so it can actually play the appropriate visible MC.
I've tried to code this a dozen different ways. The attached
code is just my latest attempt. Please provide some clarity if you
would. argh... Thanks

Tim,
Thanks for putting me on the right path. It would seem that I
had the event listener assigned to the Radio 'groupname'. And in
that case the eventObj returned the same name each time which
happened to be the 1st choice of the group. So I created two event
listeners, one for each individual radio item and then adjusted my
code accordingly.
However, that lead me to another dilema. How does the
'replay' button determine which radiobutton is the current 'dotted'
selection. And for that I could only come up with a variable that
holds the name of the last radio selected. Seems there should be
another way to do this but I'm at a loss.
If anyone feels like helping some more with these radio
buttons, feel free. Thanks.

  • What determines which inputs you can select from when you're creating a VISA Resource Name Constant?

    Hey, I'm trying to write a labview driver an instrument. I have another instrument which came with labview drivers, and I had hoped that by looking at how they did it, I could write my own for this piece of equipment.
    However, the problem is they use the old visa open method. That is, they input a string, "GPIB::6", and it outputs a visa session.
    The new Visa open requires that you have an input resource name, and the constants only let me pick from "COM1" and "LPT1", but the GPIB interface card in this computer is in a PCMCIA slot.
    What determines what choices you get when you select the value of the constant?
    Thanks,
    -Dobbs

    If you created a VISA Resource Name control, right click on the control and select "Allow Undefined Names".
    I haven't programmed directly using VISA on LabVIEW 6 but it apppears that if you select from the drop-down menu, it shows the devices that is defined in MAX. Thus, you should be able to select your GPIB resource name if it has been properly installed.
    Nevertheless, it still allows you to override the control by selecting "Allow Undefined Names".
    I hope that helps.

  • Determining which radio button is selected

    In my WHEN-RADIO-CHANGED trigger I would like to evaluate which radio button (choice of two) is selected.
    I presumed it would be quite simple to do (as it is in VB - ill risk mentioning those imortal letters), however I can't find any mention of such a procedure in the help files.
    And the get_property procedure doesn't have a property for "selected".
    Any body have any ideas about the best way to check which is selected?
    Regards,

    the value is set in the forms builder (at design time) for each radio-button. Property: [Functional]-[Radio Button Value)
    you get the actual value (only at runtime) of the radio-button-group and not from the radio-buttons. :BLOCKNAME.ITEMNAME

  • How to determine which is the Active Selection Tool?

    My plugin implements a Custom Tool (Selection Server). The problem is that currently, it is detecting the Control-A combination regardless of which of the tools (I-Beam/Arrow, Hand, Loupe, my own, etc.) is the active one.
    I would like to add code that checks:
    if (I_Am_The_Active_Tool)

    TIA

    So, all this time when you were talking about registering my handler, you actually meant:

    "Registering before the Microsoft Registrar"??
    I had no idea that "using things like Microsoft" facilities was frowned upon!  :-)

  • Where Used for Code groups or Selected Sets

    Dear all,
    can any body plz tell me how can i know which code group or selected set is used in what qualitative MICs.
    either any report or transaction...
    thanks in advance
    zeeshan

    Hi Zeeshan,
    According to my information,,,
    For Code Group
    In QS41/42/43/44, reach up to the second screen "Change View: Codes" Overview. And then click on the "Used in Selected Set" Or short key "CntrlShiftF3"
    For Selected Set.
    I think no such std sap report is available. But what you can do is use the work bench CWBQM in display mode,,,,,
    - CWBQM---> select the "Current Working Area" as "Q_OPR_000000000010".
    - Apply the Basic Selection or Additional Selection Criteria" and then press Cntrl+F7.
    - the list of the MIC data will be available here.
    Or
    You have to write done a query SQVI
    Or
    Develop a customized report.

  • How to determine which CDockablePane in a group is currently active in Visual Studio 2013

    I understand that to activate a pane, I can do the following:
    dockablePane->ShowPane(TRUE, FALSE, TRUE);
    But, in a group of panes, how can I tell which pane is currently active?
    For instance, let's say there are 3 groups of panes on the screen.  The first group contains three tabs captioned "A", "B", and "C".  The second group contains "D", "E", and "F" and the
    third group contains "G", "H", and "I".
    How would I determine the active pane within each group?  (As an example for reference, within Visual Studio in the left pane group, I can currently see the contents of "Solution Explorer" while "Class View", "Property M...",
    "Resource Vi..." and "Team Explo..." are within the same group but not active.  In the bottom group, I can see the contents of "Output" while "Find Results 1" and "Find Results 2" are present but not active".
    In the right group, I can see "MySource.cpp" while "MySource.h" is present but not active.  So, I need to know how to request from each pane whether they are the current tab within their container or not.
    Steve

    Hi Steve,
    Thanks for posting in MSDN forum.
    (As an example for reference, within Visual Studio in the left pane group, I can currently see the contents of "Solution Explorer" while "Class View", "Property M...", "Resource Vi..." and "Team Explo..."
    are within the same group but not active. In the bottom group, I can see the contents of "Output" while "Find Results 1" and "Find Results 2" are present but not active". In the right group, I can see "MySource.cpp"
    while "MySource.h" is present but not active. So, I need to know how to request from each pane whether they are the current tab within their container or not.
    This scenerio in your example, we don't need to know the current tab within which tab group. Actually I don't understand why do you need to know that? If you are using
    AFX_DOCK_TYPE::DT_SMART   model dock pane, the dock pane should be implemented in a internal MFC
    CSmartDockingManager
    class and it is not intended to be used directly from your code. . You could read the source code of this class at VS installed path-> VC->altmfc->src->mfc->afxsmartdockingmanage.cpp
    For the dock pane layout in VS interface, I remember there is a sample named Visual Studio Demo sample in Visual C++ 2008 Feature Pack. You can download it at here.
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/b4e6cb6e-e2a8-4e02-9c67-0dc431618157/visual-c-2008-feature-pack-samples-where-to-find?forum=vcgeneral
    And the dock pane control implements the core functionality that controls docking layout in a main frame window by CDockingManager class.

  • How to determine which FileChooser ExtensionFilter has been selected

    Hi,
    I'm using a JavaFX fileChooser.showSaveDialog with two extension filters (*.csv and *.xml). How can I determine which filter was selected when the end-user clicks the save button?
    I am writing a program that allows the end-user to create an output file in CSV or XML format.
    If the end-user enters a file name with no extension, I need a way to determine if I should create a CSV or XML file. I would also like to add the proper extension to the file name if none is specified by the end-user. I want to do this based on which filter the end-user has selected. I wrote a Java program 5 years ago and I was able to do this with the following instruction:
    String extension = jFileChooser.getFileFilter().getDescription();
    I can't find a similar instruction for JavFX.
    My JavaFX Code:
    FileChooser fileChooser = new FileChooser();
    fileChooser.setInitialDirectory(new File(options.getOutputDirectory()));
    ExtensionFilter filter1 = new FileChooser.ExtensionFilter("Comma Delimited (*.csv)", "*.csv");
    fileChooser.getExtensionFilters().add(filter1);
    ExtensionFilter filter2 = new FileChooser.ExtensionFilter("XML Document (*.xml)", "*.xml");
    fileChooser.getExtensionFilters().add(filter2);
    File file = fileChooser.showSaveDialog(stage);
    String filename = file.getAbsolutePath();...How do I determine which extension filter has been selected?
    My Java Code:
    JFileChooser jFileChooser = new JFileChooser();
    jFileChooser.setCurrentDirectory(new File(outputDirectory));
    jFileChooser.setSelectedFile(new File(backupfile));
    FileFilter filter = new FileNameExtensionFilter("Comma Delimited (*.csv)", "csv");
    jFileChooser.addChoosableFileFilter(filter);
    jFileChooser.setFileFilter(filter);
    filter = new FileNameExtensionFilter("XML Document (*.xml)", "xml");
    jFileChooser.addChoosableFileFilter(filter);
    jFileChooser.setAcceptAllFileFilterUsed(false);
    jFileChooser.setDialogTitle("Export Alarms");
    jFileChooser.setBackground(colorFileChooser);
    int returnVal = jFileChooser.showDialog(jFrame, "Export");
    if (returnVal == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION) {
        File file = jFileChooser.getSelectedFile();
        String filename = file.getAbsolutePath();
        String extension = jFileChooser.getFileFilter().getDescription();
        if (extension.equals("XML Document (*.xml)")) {
            if (!filename.endsWith(".xml") && !filename.endsWith(".XML")) {
                filename = filename + ".xml";
            saveTableXML(filename);
        else if (extension.equals("Comma Delimited (*.csv)")) {
            if (!filename.endsWith(".csv") && !filename.endsWith(".CSV")) {
                filename = filename + ".csv";
            saveTableCSV(filename);
    }Thanks,

  • Groups: any way to determine which contacts aren't part of one?

    For 99% of my Addressbook entries I create them on my Mac and immediately put them into one of about 7 groups.
    Occasionally, I create one on my iPhone and, as far as I know, groups cannot be assigned from there.
    When I finally get back to my Mac, I have no idea which entries are not filed under a specific group.
    Is there any way (short of remembering) to determine which Addressbook entries aren't part of a group?
    Thanks!

    Leopard has a new option for creating smart groups based on group membership. I don't have Leopard right in front of me at the moment, but this is basically what you do. Create a smart group, and add rules like "card is not member of (group)". You can add multiple rules like this and require that cards match all of the rules for this group in order to be displayed. If you have more questions about this feel free to send a reply.

  • How to determine which diskgroups a database is using

    We want to be able to determine which diskgroups a database is using. We have been using the following query which works but only if the database has open or had open the "right set of files" recently --
    SQL> select dg.name from v$asm_diskgroup_stat dg, v$asm_client c where dg.group_number = c.group_number and c.db_name = 'MYDB';
    If no archived logs have been generated in a while then the diskgroup that contains the FRA will no be listed in this query. We can cause the FRA diskgroup to show up if we archive the current log. Here is an example.
    SQL> select * from v$asm_client;
    GROUP_NUMBER INSTANCE_NAME
    DB_NAME  STATUS
    SOFTWARE_VERSION
    COMPATIBLE_VERSION
                5 +ASM
    DBI03    CONNECTED
    11.2.0.3.0
    11.2.0.0.0
    SQL> alter system archive log current;
    System altered.
    SQL> select * from v$asm_client;
    GROUP_NUMBER INSTANCE_NAME
    DB_NAME  STATUS
    SOFTWARE_VERSION
    COMPATIBLE_VERSION
                5 +ASM
    DBI03    CONNECTED
    11.2.0.3.0
    11.2.0.0.0
    GROUP_NUMBER INSTANCE_NAME
    DB_NAME  STATUS
    SOFTWARE_VERSION
    COMPATIBLE_VERSION
                7 +ASM
    DBI03    CONNECTED
    11.2.0.3.0
    11.2.0.0.0
    Notice how diskgroup "7" shows up after the log is archived? It appears that the instance for diskgroup "7" will eventually be drop off after some idle period. Is there a way to generate the list of diskgroups consistently?

    Hi,
    If your database was configured manually (i.e not using DBCA) you should check v$(datafile,controlfile,logfile,block_change_tracking,etc) and parameters of database (log_archive_dest,db_recovery_file_dest,spfile,etc) to map these info.
    If your database was configured using DBCA you can try it:
    $ srvctl config database -d <database_name> |grep "Disk Groups"

  • How does DIADEM import TDMS files? How gets every channel his number and groupindex? How can I determine which channel has which groupindex and number?

    I store different channels in a TDMS file.
    I like to have a time channel at the first position with group index 1 and number 1.
    When I read the TDMS file with DIADEM the time channel (Float64) is on a differernt position, and the channels are not sorted alphabetically.
    Here are my questions:
    How does DIADEM import TDMS files?
    How gets every channel his number and groupindex?
    How can I determine which channel has which groupindex and number?
    Best regards
    Joerg

    Hi Jörg,
    i suppose that you´re programme whose create the *.tdms file is writing on false position. Try to create datas with timechannel on first indes in diadem, then save it and then open it again. you see that all is correct. So please tell me what programm in what version do you use and please attache it here.
    Did you use the library for creating *.tdms files like in the link ?
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/6471
    Here you find the gtdms_8.x.zip - when you extract it and opened the *.llb you find vi´s for all functions e.g. writing 2d array of strings to *.tdms file
    when you open the subvi´s then you see how created and writing datas/structure to *.tdms files. Because *.tdms is binary you can´t see structure with open it in editor.
    When you don´t have Labview you can use the 30 days test of current version 8.5 under following link

    Hello,
    I need to determine the purchase group ID (field EKGRP) in SRM from a purchase or a shopping cart.
    Until now I can get the GUID value (ex. 50000026) but I need the field EKGRP. I have seen that this field appears into the  BBP_PDBEH table, but it refers to backend system.
    Do you know how can I get it?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards.

    Please find the details below:
    1. Get the Org Id say O 50012979 and pass it to the table HRP5500
    OTJID = 'O 50012979'
    Here select the value TABNR
    2. Pass the TABNR value to the table HRT5500
    TABNR = 'TABNR from HRP5500 for O 50012979'
    You can get the value EKGRP here.
    Hope this solves your problem.

  • How to determine which Windows application has focus

    I'm new to JAVA and new to programming. I hope someone will help me out. I'm trying to write a simple JLink program (JLink is a JAVA API for Pro|Engineer, a CAD design program). In part of this program I need to determine if Pro|E has focus. Is there some way to use JAVA to determine which actively running Windows application has focus?
    I basically want my program to pause when focus changes to another program. For example: While Pro|E is active and has focus the program runs, when I select an Excel window, or Outlook, or Notepad or any other window my program will pause until focus is returned. I just need to determine which window within Windows has focus.
    I hope I have explained this properly. I searched the internet for an answer but found nothing. I did come across some references to JNI, but I'm not sure what that is or how to use it.
    Thank you!

    I just need to determine which window within Windows has focus.No, you don't. All you need to determine is whether your application has the focus. If it doesn't, then some other application does, but it's really irrelevant which one does. All that's relevant is that your application doesn't have the focus and hence it should pause.
