Random AIM difficulties..

I keep AIM running continuously and every now and then notice that it shuts itself off and I sign back in no big deal. Today...however, it will not sign in and keeps giving me an error and says that it cannot connect to the server due to something with that data....Yahoo Messenger still works so does BBM. Anyone having any similiar issues and/or know what I can do? I've already restarted my phone, deleted AIM and reinstalled it...nothing has worked thus far. I've had many issues with this phone since getting it last week!

Hi,
I got the same issue, just bought BB8900 and had successfully logged into ym and wlm once only, after that, I always got Error 65 when loggin in....
Have you already fixed this issue?
Anybody had encountered the same problem and got resolution? you help would really be appreciated...

We have the requirement from within our application to create a radom

yeah, but that would be a blatant violation of my license agreement with

You can decompile the classes for yourself (see
weblogic.security.RandomBitsSource and others in the same package). As for
the randomness, that needs to be tested. Depending on your requirements,
relying on the assumption that WL produces sessionids with strongrandomness
    may not be enough.

  • Account Error: Nonexistent

It was working last night, but now it's just saying "Account Error: Nonexistent" when I try to view my website. It also asks me to login to access idisk.me.com or something like that when I enter in my domain name.

I have exactly the same issue on several pages of mine. If I publish them on my MobileMe master Account or family member account, these random loading difficulties occur. If I publish on another Account that I got from Apple Support for testing, it works perfectly. So it has something to do with certain Accounts on MobileMe, for example with mine... In my case, the problem is always here, around the clock. If I reload the page, it usually works but not always.
Apples MobileMe support is on the case since 4 days, I will post results as soon I have any.
Sometimes, the menu of the page does not load, sometimes images are missing, sometimes fonts are wrong, sometimes the background is missing, sometimes I have an the message "Account Error: Nonexistent". When I reload the page, it usually works or the problem is slightly different.
I did publish the sites from scratch, without improvement. It happens on other browsers than Safari and on other OS like Windows XP. It really is a problem with MobileMe. UNACCEPTABLE !

  • Web sites not loading properly / Account Error: Nonexistent

Something strange has begun happening with the websites I've been publishing through iWeb and Me.com -
When the site loads, parts of it are missing or load improperly, such as a picture, or a border around a picture, and so on.
However, the really strange part is that when I refresh the page, a different part of the website is missing or has loaded improperly, each and every time. It almost seems like the server is choosing at random which elements of the website to load, and which not to.
Often when refreshing, the site doesn't load at all, and a white page with the error, "Account Error: Nonexistent" appears, but upon refreshing again, the site goes back into its cycle of random loading.
This only started for me recently, and I would be greatly appreciative if anyone knows the cause and fix to this problem. I don't know if it's iWeb that caused this, or Me.com, or even something else I've done.
    Thank you kindly!

  • Outlook 2003 issue: Emails sent to recipients appears incomplete

    Dear Support,
Recently, I have notice a particular trend among my users, Some emails that users created when sent to recipients appears half of its content gone. Their receipients informed thaem that the emails were either not completed or half of its content is
    missing.
My users, checked the sent email and were surprise to find it to be true.
Please advise what is the issue.
    Thank you.
    Josh.

    Hi,
Today, one of my users have the issue again, she is using Outlook 2003 on Windows 7 OS. Her fully
composed emails that were sent to recipients appears half of its content gone. She didn't realize it until her receipient informed them that the emails were either incompleted.
The frustrating part is that it happens randomly, hence, difficult to track.
Please advise what is the issue.
    OS: Windows XP/7

    Thank you.

  • DNS query

During some testing I realized that Windows workstation (tested with XP and 7 Pro) sends two similar and consecutive 'A' DNS queries within a fraction of second (literally duplicates). In some occasions they even may have the same transaction ID. They both
get response from the target DNS server. In test, it was an attempt to open www.google.com using browser (note: issue is the same using IE or Firefox). Does anybody know what may be causing such behavior? I'd like to attach screenshot but TechNet site doesn't
allow to post images before validating account.
    Regards,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,
You could upload the screenshot to OneDrive and share it with us.
If my understanding is right, you want to know the reason why the DNS transaction ID is same.
Please explain a bit about ‘in what occasions do you get the same transaction ID’.
The transaction ID is created by the message originator and is copied by the responder into its response message.
It is intended to be somewhat random and difficult to predict.
So I think it might be same because of the randomness.

  • MainStage lockup, hanging

I'm a music hobbyist, so I'm not using the application for professional purposes, but it BUGS THE HECK out of me that the computer locks up after a few minutes use of MS. Thought memory was the problem, so I've just finished installing another 4G, but MS still gets ornery after about 10 minutes-I can't force quit so usually rely on (..gasp...) powering down. Not very savvy, I know, but hey, I paint pretty pictures for a living and I don't really care what my big perforated aluminum friend thinks about it. What's wrong here?

the keyboard just sits there smiling at me as I randomly aim for some shutdown sequence as effective as ctrl/alt/del.(insert suitable Windows nightmare here)
I can't tell exactly what you're mean by that, so you might already know this, but CommandOptionEscape will bring up the force quite menu. Also, sometimes this won't work with a hung application, but if you hold the Command key, and then start clicking Tab, you can select the finder, then use the mouse or the key sequence CommandOptionEscape, and the force quit window should come up.
But of course this doesn't solve your real issue. Do you have the latest version of Mainstage installed? Have any 3rd party plug ins? If so, try to deactivate them and see if that solves the problem.
    Good Luck!

  • Vanishing Dock & CMD-TAB icons

    Dear Administrator,
Recently, I upgraded my iMac Memory to 4GB and upgraded OS to OS X 10.6.8.  After running the computer for long periods of time (4-5days), the newly opened program lost its icon in Dock and in CMD-TAB.  It seems that the icons will reappear after I logout and then login in.  I suspect that the reason for this is that I am running out of memory.  But, before the upgrade, if the computer is running low on memory then it doesn't open any new applications.  Now, the applications opens and works fine, except the icons were lost.  Please help.
    Sincerely yours,
    Zigang Pan

    Welcome to Apple Community forums.
Random is difficult to isolate. Try Safe Mode (It will take more time to startup in Safe Mode because it runs a directory check.)
Work in Safe Mode as long as you can and see how it goes
If your Finder functions correctly that way, go to System Preferences >> Accounts >> Login Items, and remove them. Boot normally and test. If not go to Users/(yourname)/Library/Contextual Menu Items and move whatever is there to the desktop. Then do the same with /Library/Contextual Menu Items. Lastly, try moving ~(yourname)/Library/Fonts to your desktop and restarting.
Log out/in or restart, if that sorts it start putting items back one at a time until you find the culprit.

  • Random Shut Down, Difficult restarts, Kernel Panic

Since installing a security update and some Fink Packages, my computer has been shutting down randomly. It only seems to "Crash" when I'm logged in (admin). My kids can log into their profile and it won't crash... (I think) And if I leave it at the login screen and no one uses it, the computer seems ok... It hasn't crashed yet.
It also seems that if I log in via ssh it doesn't crash either... Maybe it's something with my profile... I dunno...
It'll shut down without warning. No errors, no messages... it just powers off. When I try to start it back up, it shuts down over and over and it doesn't even boot. After the third or fourth try, it'll start up and I get the gray screen with the apple on it... Sometimes it hangs there and I have to start all over with the difficult boot up.
Once, I got a full screen Command Prompt with a bunch of text. The last line said "Double Panic: We're hanging here" Or something along those lines.
And just yesterday, I got a black box with several different languages telling me I had to reboot.
So here is the last entry of my /Library/Logs/panic.log

    Can anyone decipher this?
I also tried to look at the:
    /usr/libexec/panicdump
But it's all "program" looking info.. Anyone know what I need to use to open that so I can read it?
    Any ideas???

Ran a Hardware Test and all the hardware seems ok.
I wonder what could be making this thing lock up?
The main symptom is the reset button makes the computer turn off...

  • Anyone else having difficulties connecting to AIM using Messages?

For the past day or so, Messages refuses to connect to my AIM account. I have iChat accounts using my old .Mac and MobileMe IDs that work relatively well (in spite of frequent disconnects). Many of my professional contacts are on my legacy AIM Buddy List, and now I can't access them.
I checked Console, and this is what I see:
2012-08-28 12:13:00.589 PM imagent[207]: [Warning] [AIM] Could not change my statusURL to

2012-08-28 12:48:54.969 PM imagent[207]: [Warning] [AIM] Could not change my statusURL to
I also tried logging into www.aim.com, but the site logs me out as soon as I log in.
Has this happened to anyone else?
With respect to the disconnects I mentioned above, Messages on both my 2011 15" MacBook Pro and my mid-2008 24" iMac seem to disconnect from most online services (e.g. GoogleTalk, AIM, Jabber) whenever I walk away from my computer for a few minutes. The accounts that use the AOL servers (AIM, .Mac and Mobileme) disconnect frequently, even when I'm sitting in front of the computer. It would appear that my account gets banned for too many disconnects after a while, to the point that I can't reconnect unless I wait a long time. I've read other complaints about this in the Support Communities.
It's as if my network connection is unstable and causes timeouts and disconnects in the background. I've followed some tips I found on the web, including deleting the affected accounts and changing the MTU value in my Network settings.
Has anyone had any communication with Apple that indicates they recognize networking/connection issues affecting Messages, or that they may be working on a fix?
    R.

    Definitely.
I put a query on this site and can no longer find it.
If I goes to Buddies list, everything is greyed out.
If I try new message, I can send one to their AIM account and click on the green camera next to their name but they do not get the invitation.
They can contact me.  (They have not upgraded and still have iChat.)
If we do a threeway iChat, I can to hold my mouse down to widen the window in order to see the second person.

  • IMac acting strange... restarts randomly, difficult to start...

My iMac has been acting very weird lately.
It started with random restarts when I was not even standing by the computer. It has been freezing frequently also.
Lately it has restarted and I heard the initial start up noise for a quick second and than it restarted again. This happened about 20 times before the computer actually booted.
If anyone else is having these problems please let me know. I have no idea whats going on :S

    Hello Philip
Reset your iMac's SMC (System Management Controller) exactly as described in the "how to" link below.

Then if you are still have a power issue, you should take it in for service.

  • Ipod touch 5 - when in song suffle mode, a random album will suddenly appear on the screen and then it is difficult to get back to the song that is playing

Just "upgraded" to a new ipod touch 5th generation after previously using various ipod classics.  So I am not familiar with all the ins and outs of the device.  One thing that I have a problem with is the fact that there does not seem to be a simple way, while in shuffle mode to quickly move to the next song or back to the prior song.  But forgetting that for a moment, here is my problem and I am trying to figure out if it is a bug or simply some kind of "feature" of the ipod touch that I don't get.
I am playing music...in song - shuffle mode.  All of a sudden, instead of the particular song that is playing, a different album shows up on the screen.  Meanwhile, the original song keeps playing.  When this happens, sometimes that album then starts playing and sometimes I am able to move the ipod touch in various directions and I can get back to the song that I was originally playing.  Any idea what is happening here and how to stop it?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hello Philly,
I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?)  touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.

  • IChat 5 to AIM (Any version) frustrations

This has been driving me insane for a week.
I can connect PC to PC on AIM for video conference. I can connect Mac to Mac for an iChat conference. They work when both computers are on the same office network. They work when one of the computers is remote, so it even traverses our firewall and routers without issue. Under no circumstances will an AIM to iChat video conference fully connect.
I've used multiple computers, and no computer has a software firewall enabled. I have tried AIM 5.5, 5.9, 6.5, 6.9, and currently have the latest 7.2.61 installed.
Here is a trace from a PC initiated Video Chat request (it ends with "There was a comm. error during your chat" on the Mac, and the PC remains sitting on "Waiting for Buddy Confirmation"):

    Hi,
This has never been as simple as it should have been.
It in fact seems to have gotten more difficult as time has gone on.
iChat 3 to AIM 5.9 or 6.1 seemed to be the best it ever was.
This is about as much as we know to try
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1968438
AIM on the PC uses port 5190 to Login, as does iChat (both Default settings)
Both can have this changed to port 443 - AIM uses it as "Fall Back" port if a firewall or router does not have the ports open.
AIM then goes on to use a random sort of port between port 1024 and 5000
These ports have to be opened in any routing device.
The PC firewall since XP service pack 2 has required you allow Exceptions through the firewall (any NON Microsoft app) and preferably also turn On UPnP hare as well so that any routing device can also use UPnP.
The SIP connection Process is supposed to "Negotiate" the ports to be used.
It usually or rather used to show on the Mac end and using the ichat ports (in ichat 3 Audio and Video where on 4 different ports in and out - 16384-16387 as first choices.
In later versions of iChat (4 and up) Video and audio is on one and it is used for both In and Out (port 16402)
However I use Little Snitch and this does not seem to be constant now and iChat will connect on seemingly random port if UPnP is used.
Your Log shows both ends moving ports during the connection Process.
In fact one part of the Log says this
133429.692851 Remote party is using AIM 5.9 client.
    133429.692935 =========== OpenPorts!
It suggests that the ports are not open somewhere.
    This info is also important
    133421.158867 CommNAT result:
    External IP: XX.XXX.XXX.XX
    External Ports: 36870, 36872, 36871

    CNAT_PATINORDER .... 1
    CNAT_BLOCKIP ....... 1
    CNAT_BLOCKPORT ..... 1
    CNAT_LOOPBACK ...... 0
Your routing device is not Full Cone (0) which is iChat's Preferred stated method of doing NAT in iChat 5
(our belief is that this is always been the case but only iChat 5's Connection Doctor tell us this).
This is not to say other methods don't work.
My own routing Modem says it is Port Restricted and does fine for iChat to iChat Video (it's a long time since I did an AIM/PC test).
The detail also suggests ports are blocked.
I ma also not sure of the significance of the ports listed at this stage.
However the log also does not seem to state it is mapping those to 16402 (and down to 16393 as it start top down).
133421.573835 [0]Creating a port mapping from on interface 0 from external port 57110 to local port 16402...

The @mac name seems to be on a Public IP where as the PC (AIM Name ?) seems to be behind a router when the info is first reported in the log.
Later the @mac name appears to be behind the same router.
This info about the LAN IPs seems to be Odd.

  • Fan randomly running loud + computer not responding

I have been facing a problem for the last several weeks on my PowerMac G5 that technicians have not been able to solve either.
The computer randomly stops responding and the fans start accelerating slowly until they reach their top speed and then stay at that speed for indefinite periods of time. I cannot see any pattern in this - it happens both when the computer is running some process and when it is idle.
Each time this happens, the only option for me is to do a hard powerdown (hold down the power button).
I saw another question about fans running at high speed, but that case, it seemed as if the computer continued to respond.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

I am having the same problem.
Now before you start taking advice to back up all your data, reformat your hard drive, and reinstall all the software; please take note of a few things:
first off, I'm disappointed/frustrated/melancholy that this is happening to me. I spend $5000+ for a "reliable" Apple computer. Then it doesn't want to turn on because its not safe. Sorry if I drown this post with bitter sarcasm but I am coming to the end of the line with my patience.
I called Apple Care, read a bunch of posts (here and elsewhere), and yes I do know about the SMU Reset button (like that really does anything?).
My problem happened a few weeks ago and I thought nothing of it at first. There was a power outage for a quick second and it turned everything off. When I went to turn on my computer, there was no chime, the red light was on, and the fans were running and eventually began running very loud. After letting it run like that in hopes of the screen lighting up, I turned it off by holding the power button. By the way, there's nothing on the screen and the keyboard doesn't work (I use a wireless keyboard, but I plugged in the OG cord keyboard to push whatever series of buttons recommended by these "geniuses") Trust me, the computer doesn't make it to that part of the boot process, so stop with commandoption+PR or F12 to get the CD out. It doesn't work! What's up with this computer! It can handle all these intense calculations, etc. but a power surge is going to shut it down indefinitely.
So I left the computer came back the next day, turned it on and its fine. Cool, I'm happy. It's Working!! I go on a few weeks, then I go to turn it on this Monday, same problem. But actually a worse situation. I had a client come over and the computer wouldn't work. I looked like a idiot. Couldn't do anything cause my computer didn't want to turn on. I do music production/editing. I use my G5 for running ProTools LE. I have other programs but that is the main one I use. There's nothing wrong with it. It's optimized for use with the mac. So those people who are going to advise me to uninstall all my software and all that - I appreciate your concern but don't give advice when you don't know anything!
So I am getting frustrated. My client left a little disappointed, but what can you do? I tried to call AppleCare on Mon. but it was Memorial Day. So I waited for Tues.
Tues morning, my computer turns on like everything is fine.
I'm happy but cautious. I talk to AppleCare rep. He tells me that it is a common problem they have heard about with the G5's. Wherever blackouts, brownouts, spikes, sags, dips, and other electricity inconsistencies occur, the Power Mac G5 has a breaker in it which flips so it doesn't receive uneven power supply and damage internal components.
I like that feature. Good thinking Apple. Protecting my investment from bad electrical grids. But I don't like the fact my computer has a mind of its own where it decides when it wants to boot or when it wants to sit there and run its fans all loud.
I shut down Tues morn to go to work. I come back in the evening, it doesn't want to boot up. Instead of getting angry trying a bunch of times to turn on/turn off the computer, I leave my house all together and go and have a few drinks. I come home ,don't even look at my computer, and go to bed.
I wake up Wed. morning. Go to turn on my computer. Successful boot. It's running. Okay, I think, I'm going to get down to the problem. I read all the logs, not like I know every piece of info, but just to see what's happening. Everything looks fine. I decide to run the AppleCare CD Tech Tool. It says restart holding down C. I do that. When the gray Apple Logo comes up, all this writing about kernals comes up and it tells me to restart or shutdown. I shutdown and attempt to restart, same problem: no chime, red light on, and fans eventually spin loud. Now the CD is stuck in there. I'm going to take it to the Apple Store tomorrow to if these "geniuses" can figure it out.
(Just a side note: Apple calls them geniuses, but its hard for me to think some disconnected college kid with a bad haircut and questionable social skills knows what's up with the power supply issues of a computer; maybe I'm wrong, but you can run your diagnostics and look at the chart of what to do and all that BUT Apple needs to listen to the people)
I am going to get a UPS (uninteruptable power supply) with a clean sine wave output to curb the issue at my end. It's not my fault I live in a area that receives uneven power output. I live in Los Angeles. Summer is starting up and I think its going to be hot, so blackouts, power dips and sags are inevitable. I just don't understand why Apple hasn't considered this problem and fixed it with something:
A recall to change the power supply, Is it something on the logic board?, are they going to reimburse me for lost income (Ha, yeah right)
I really want to know how many people are having this problem?
From what I've heard, it is a common problem.
So I think we need a common solution.
If its so common, it must be the computer. We are all going to live in different areas where the power may vary. Not all of us have the consistent power flow of 1 Infinite Loop in Cupertino, CA. So if it is such a common problem, Apple needs to fix it.
I can't spend more than five grand on a super duper computer and have it wuss out on some power issues.
Its a loss of income and productivity to me.
    I can't have that anymore.
Sometimes my computer turns on, sometimes it doesn't.
I bought my PowerMac G5 in April 2006, its been about a month and a half and I'm having these problems.
    Thank you for your time.
If anyone else has been having this problem, I feel for you.
It was been very difficult for me not to curse in this post, but I have tried to extend the same respect to all that use these discussion boards to create dialogue, find help, and create solutions.
    LETS FIX IT!
    Peace,
