Random transition help
i trying to create multiple random transition. i able to make
it randomly choosing the transition type. Below is my code which
can only transit once i play the movie but it can randomly select
the transition type but it didnt transit. how m i able to make it
randomly transit?

Please try the following, using the right and left arrow keys to move the Timeline Indicator.
(The "it reappears" and "first frame" aspects of what you wrote do not fit the following scenario, but consider it for the moment....)
Assuming clip with segments A B C.
Move the Timeline Indicator, one tap (one frame) at a time in the vicinity of where you are going to make the first cut between A and B.
Stop when you see displayed in the monitor the first frame of B. Cut, Ctrl+K.
Then move the Timeline Indicator to the end of B. Stop when you see displayed in the monitor the first frame of C. Cut, Ctrl+K.
Any solution or same old problem?
If problem persists...
As a first pass at the troubleshooting, let us try deletion of the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file.
I am strictly and Elements Windows user, so this is my best second hand information on the location of that file in Mac...
Users/Owner/Libraries/Application Support/Adobe/Premiere Elements/12.0.
Have we established if the problem exists in a new project?

I want to create a SlideShow movie with around 200 photos and I managed to do almost everything I wanted except I cannot randomize transitions. Am I stupid or there's no such feature.
I did the following: I've selected all photos and then went to transitions -> set theme ... I can choose all possible themes but no random feature. I went also to File -> Project Properties ... same thing ... I can choose one theme but no randomize all off them.

f I recall correctly...
before you add stuff to your project, adjust the project settings (right-click on the project's name in the project library) -- automatically add cross dissolve (or RANDOM TRANSITIONS or whatever) and automatically set duration of still pictures (to whatever length of time), and also automatically set to Ken Burns effect (which you can also adjust in any of the individual picture if you don't like how the effect is auto-applied ... you didn't ask for that option, but adding a bit of motion to the pics will REALLY help it visually.) This "automatically" stuff in project settings DEFINITELY makes the time involved in such a project much quicker.

Two problems: 1. My iphoto slide show loses its random transitions when I export it to iDVD.
2. When I then burn it to a disk, the disk will not play in a DVD player, but only on my MAC.
Any ideas?The random transitions can only be random when played in iPhoto.
If you are in the slideshow mode and use the Share ➙ iDVD menu option a quictime movie will be created of the slideshow with the first random set of transitions and imported into iDVD. The transitions, however, will be fixed permanently and will not be changed again.
There is no way to get any sort of random behavior in an iDVD. When it's burned to disk it's locked permanently.

How do you do to create a slideshow with random transitions?
I would like to have this feature directly in iDVD, but I don't know why apple doesn't add it.
I used to create my slideshow using iPhoto and export it to iDVD... but this procedures takes a long time since iDVD want to reencode de iPhoto movie.
There is a better way to do that?

iDVD tends to apply these transitions globally.
But DVDSP (iDVD's big brother) allows you to customize each transition.

Screensaver, random transitions and random photos
Hi all, a simple question I hope.
How can I create a screensaver which will display random photos from my library with random transitions between photos?
I've got the random photos part working but despite many hours, I can't work out how get random transitions in the screensaver.

20PanZooms and Random Transitions and PE 7
Just FYI, the 20PanZooms and Random Transition Slideshow themes I got elsewhere that worked with PE 4 so well, don't work at all with PE 7. Just moving the mouse over the theme (which animates the theme) causes an instant PE 7 crash. The 2 included PE 7 slideshow themes seem to work fine.

Random transition jitter at bottom of screen
Hello. When I preview the transitions in the simulation mode of DVDSP, they all work fine. But when I build and format/burn DVDs, random transitions experience jittering and image ghosting at the bottom of the frame. Basically, it looks like part of the outgoing footage remains at the screen bottom and flashes as the incoming footage appears (through whatever transition I have chosen). Every time I rebuild my DVD and burn it again, it happens to different transitions; there is no consistency. Point is, I don't want to have to remove them all or make all of them as independent MPGs in FCP or AE. Any suggestions from people who have experienced similar? Thanks.

I am not really that familiar with using DVDSP's transitions. But a start may be to personalise the encoding settings in the DVDSP prefs.
It is however strange that the problems change positions. To purge these rendered files you will have to venture into the DVDSP project (show package contents). Then locate the rendered menu's folder and delete these (the mpegs not the folder).

Insert random transitions between photo's

im making a dvd with a few hundred photo's. Is there a way to insert random transitions between the photo's? i dont want to have all the same transitions between the photo's, just evey time a different one.
thnxLike Lennart, I'm not a big fan of random transitions. But if you like them you may want to explore iPhoto, which offers that feature for slideshows as well as random Ken Burns Effects (which often turn out quite nice).
Remember, it's possible to export an iPhoto slideshow that you import to iMovie.

Durations of clips are Randomly shifting - HELP
I normally work in Final Cut Pro, and needed to do a piece in iMovie due to the fact I'm traveling and do not have FCP on the computer I'm working on. I've been building a cut out of still images, 3 different songs, fades, transitions, etc. and as I move forward towards the end and add images, music all the work I've already done keeps shifting, the timing keeps changing, and I have to go back and re-time everything - this is ridiculous. Durations of clips in the beginning of the cut are RANDOMLY changing - I just don't understand, but it is doing it. Everytime a clip randomly changes - everything after it shifts. I have no choice, this is for a family event and I do not have the time to redo in FCP or keep re-timing this piece - is there any way to lock the picture to audio as I go?? I am working in the latest versions of iMovie/OSX, etc. - thank you.
One thought immediately comes to mind. When inserting a new transition are you sometimes changing the default duration of the transition in the Inspector? If so, make sure that the box entitled "Applies to all transitions" is NOT checked (ticked). If it is ticked, then all clips with transitions may have their duration changed (depending on the type of transition) due to the transition's length changing. Some transitions use extra frames from the clips when increasing the duration of the transition, for example, Cross Dissolve.

Hey,
I have been having an Issue with my iTunes Randomly Quitting / Crashing on me for about the last month.
I am not sure what the exact issue is I have re-installed my OS, Repair Premmssions.
This happens when iTunes is not doing anything. Usually when my computer is sleeping it Crashes and when i wake up I get the Error and the log.
I thought the issue was realted to Avatron Softwear - Air Display or Air Connect. I uninsatlled both. iTunes stopped crashing for about 24hrs and has started again?

Import iPhotos with no transition help please!
I have 50 stills of a sunset that I want to just go from one photo to the next without any transitions.
iMovie is automatically adding transitions of zoom-in zoom-out. I do not want that. I don't want any transitions at all.
Any help would be very appreciated, thank you!!!You can change the default in Project Properties (FILE/PROJECT PROPERTIES). Set the default to FIT to have the whole photo, but letterboxed, or select CROP to have the photo cropped to fit the aspect ratio of the project and fill the screen.
You can also change this on a photo by photo basis with the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool. -
IPhone 6 plus randomly crashes help
hi I've had my iPhone 6 plus for a while now and recently it started crashing on its own it would randomly reboot on its own when I'm on a phone call it texting about anything it just would randomly crash
iI've also had issues with it freezing up on me multiple times any help?
I Always set up my iPhones as new so I didn't use a back up
tthe strange thing is that my if I'm on a phone call and it crashes it doesn't hang up the call as the phone reboots it will hold the call and I'm still on the phone even though it crashed and it's showing the apple logo as its rebooting

Creating Faux Loader for State to State Transition - HELP.
Good day everyone.
I need help making a loader that will be in between states.
I have a file that has multiple embedded Custom Components in order to circumvent the 20 page limit. Since one of the components has a large number of states within it it takes some time in order to get into the state. Let me illustrate. The project is a world map with specific regions (US, Latin America, etc). which are then separated into specific countries/states/provinces. An example flow is diagramed here:

Now what is happening is when I render out the SWF since there are so many STATES (15) in the US component it takes approximately 12 seconds to load that portion of the SWF over the WEB.
Is there anyway I can get a loader to appear while it is loading the larger Custom Components?
I do not have access to Flash Builder or a developer with FB so that option is out.
I tried creating a faux/fake loader in the US button that was similar to the default loader that FC creates but I've seem to run into a few problems.
First, is there anyway to a sequence play before a transition begins/ends? I attempted to do this by creating ANOTHER custom component that would have an action sequence but for some reason that did not work. It was expecting a MOUSE EVENT which was not possible since it the mouse event already happened.
I'm at a loss here for how I can complete this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and if I need clarify further, please do not hesitate to contact me.

JimHave you explored the integrated lucene search functionality? Basically you can allow lucene to index the asset types you want to search in and create a search form that queries the index. The internal search in the contributor UI is using the same method.
Check the developers guide page: 857 Public Site Search, this could be used for your purpose as well... On the authoring environment all asset types are already enabled to be indexed.

15" Macbook pro (late 2010) shuts down randomly! HELP!
hey guys, i bought a 15" macbook pro core i7 late 2010 model a few years back, and i havent had a problem with it until now, it shuts off randomly and then when turning it back on it dsays "macbook shut down because of a problem" . You may be able to stop the panics by disabling automatic graphics switching in the Energy Saver preference pane, but that's not a solution.
Most likely, the logic board will be replaced. Sometimes the replacement part is also defective, so be prepared for that possibility.
