RANK Function in AIX vs Windows

I am facing an issue where when I run my report using my windows machine I am able to get the right results with the RANK function. However, when I ran the same report in my AIX machine, I got the following error:

One point to make is the Rank function works if you create 1 column with the RANK function in Answers(i.e. Rank(Fact.Sales) ). The issue comes up when you try to create a BIN column to bucket the RANKs in a seperate column.
Here's the SQL:

So Basically, the issue is when you have a Bucketed Rank Sales Column and a simple Rank Column in the same request. (In AIX the issue exists, in Windows there is no issue.)

Error using Rank function in Answers

Hi All,
Am trying to generate a report in Answers which lists Top Accounts with Revenue.
I Ranked the Revenue field and it is returning me correct values. ( Rank(account.revenue) )
But, when I try to filter on this field and restrict the rows which shows only top 10 Accounts, it is returning the following error:
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 1792, message: ORA-01792: maximum number of columns in a table or view is 1000 at OCI call OCIStmtExecute. [nQSError: 17010] SQL statement preparation failed. @Rank function using EVALUATE

Hi short question,
I'm trying to get the @rank function to work in combination with OBIEE 10.1.3.4 (using EVALUATE). Anyone here already tried using this with Essbase version 9.2? In some of the documentation it states this can not be done using anything below Essbase 9.3 but the @Rank function is available within v9.2 Is there any limit on using this from the OBIEE side?

Retruning rows which have same value return by RANK function

Hi, what I wanna acheive is to use a DENSE RANK function to identify the same value of the data, if rank values are same then extra out. Here is the code

Compile forms error because using rank function

Oracle Form 9i don't known rank function in my SQL statement. When compile forms, it alerts err message: "Encountered the symbol "(" when expecting one ..."

Function Code can not be selected

Dear expert,
Please help me, there is a uploader For MIGO, USer is uploading data using this uploader, Sometimes when user try to upload data, he gets a message on status BAR:
Function cannot be selected, When i Double Click on that Message i Get Following Information:
Message NO: 00255
Diagnosis
You entered an Inactive function code
You can trigger this by:
inputting directly in the OK code field
inputting the fastpath of an inactive menu function
choosing an inactice function key, or even by
choosing enter, if enter has an inactive function
In batch input a function code is included in field BDC_OKCODE of the session, as long as this function Code is not assigned to Enter
As well as activating function codes stastically in the menu painter(Transaction SE41), they can also be deactivated dynamically using the excluding addition with PF-STATUS.
Now one more thing i want to tell you is when user just open MIGO directly and try to enter some data and get back before saving and then Execute uploader then user can upload data without any error,
Kindly tell me what shoul i do to remove this error permanently

There is an error in this uploader, it should not call this command which is not available on that screen. What is this uploader? If it's a custom abap program, you must debug it.

How to track the standard function code eg. PRI

Dear All,
I have a requirement that says that I will execute a report. Now when the user will click on the print button may be customized or can be taken from menu (Standard PRI) I want to update a table when the printout has been taken. I am not able to track down the print functionality through AT USER-COMMAND. Can anyone please help me out.

How to translate function codes from GUI-status into other language ?

Hello experts,
I've a programm called mrs - multi resource scheduling.
This programm has texts in english and german.
Now I want to translate the text also in italian.
When I opne the programm in se80, in path GUI-status
there are the ui-elements (Function codes).
When I open them in english, I get the texts in english, when
I open them in german , I get the texts in german.
Openeing in italian shows me the english texts.
Changing them into italian I get message:
You can only maintain the object in modification
lang. German (DE) in this system
If I proceed in translating the german text in italian, I get italian texts instead of german.
Some ideas ?

Assigning a function code to radio button in 4.5B

Ive a requirement wherein I need to trigger the PAI event in a module pool program when I select a particular radiobutton in a group and do some processing subsequently.
For this I need to assign a function code to the radiobutton group.
But the function code field is disabled for input in the properties screen of the layout. Our client system is SAP 4.5B.
I am able to assign function codes to radio button groups in esuides(4.6C) and other systems.
I want to know whether we can assign a function code at all to a radio button group in version 4.5B.
If so, please tell me how to do this.

"Function code cannot be selected" error while uploading a document.

Hi,
When we try to upload a document into SAP the user is getting the error "Function code cannot be selected". Detailed error is given below. Only one user is facing this error in PRD. For all other users it is working fine. We replicated the same issue in testing systems and it is working fine there with the same user's id.
The detailed error is,
No batch input data for screen SAPLF040 0300
Message no. 00344
Diagnosis
The transaction sent a screen that was not expected in the batch input session and which therefore could not be supplied with data.
Possible reasons:
1. The batch input session was created incorrectly. The sequence of screens was recordly incorrectly.
2. The transaction behaves differently in background processing in a batch work process than when running in dialog (SY-BATCH is queried and changes the screen sequence).
3. The transaction has undergone user-specific Customizing and therefore certain screens may be skipped or processed differently, according to the current user. If the person who created a batch input session is not the same as the person now processing it, this problem may occur frequently.
System Response
None.
Procedure
For 1: Either re-create the session or process it in expert mode. Correct the batch input program.
For 2. It is very difficult to analyze this problem, particularly in the case that the screen sequence or the display-only options of fields differ according to whether the transaction is being processed in the background or as an online dialog. It could also be that this kind of transaction cannot run with batch input.
For 3: Have the creator of the session process it. If no error occurs now, then this is a program with user-specific Customizing.

Prob in using rank in pl/sql ,need logic same of rank function in any way

I have a query as of the following 
 
SELECT sr_no,cod_acct_no,dat_arrears_due,amt_arrear_due 
FROM ( select cod_acct_no,dat_arrears_due,sum(amt_arrears_due) amt_arrear_due,rank() over (partition by cod_acct_no order by dat_arrears_due asc) sr_no 
 from arrears_table 
 where amt_arrears_due > 0 
and dat_arrears_due <= to_date('31/10/2006','dd/mm/yyyy') 
and COD_ARREAR_TYPE = 'C' 
 group by cod_acct_no,dat_arrears_due 
 ) Z 
WHERE z.sr_no <=5 
 
I have to use this in a cursor in pl/sql but because i have rank analytic function 
I am facing a compilation error ORA-06550: error 
 
Can you give me a logic which gives same output as of above

 I think it is comming for rank function it self 
 will this version support analytic (rank) function's in pl/sql cursors
