Rational suite - how to??

Though my query is not purely concerned with OOAD / UML stuff, but somehow it relates to the topic. Please don't feel if it looks inappropriate, instead try to direct me to some proper resource. Actually, I am wandering to implement the total suite of Rational in my organization. As far as modeling with Rose 2000 is concerned, I am aware of it. But, now I have to implement the whole Rational's suite among my team members so that they can update, retrieve and do all the stuff in parallel with the project. Obviously, it will also involve configuration management activities through Rational's ClearCase. Unluckily, I didn't found any tutorial or training like stuff to do it. I will really appreciate if anyone spares sometime to direct me to some proper yet effective methodology. Just for the sake of clarity; my team and me is totally aware of enterprise level design and development so anything in any terminology is understandable.

Is your company plunking down the cash for the UML
features? Just curious, because Eclipse seems so
capable and getting better every day. I'm not using
any UML plug-ins, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn
that they were out there.We are really looking for a UML tool. The round trip synchronization is gravy. But we really feel that to make UML work for our project, we need roundtrip. We tried Rose before and that was a complete waste of money.
I think Eclipse is pretty good. The performance is
good, and the price is excellent. My only complaint
is that it's a memory HOG.I like Eclipse but we haven't been able to find anything acceptable for UML. I have about a dozen UML tools installed on my machine right now. I need one of my yearly Windows meltdowns so I can clean up.
There are other IDEs out there that some folks like,
too. I haven't looked at NetBeans, but if Jim Gosling
is working on it I'll bet it's worth a look.
If my company was asking me how to spend some money, I
think I'd prefer to have something like JProbe or
OptimizeIt. The latter is a Borland product, too.
Wouldn't you rather have something to help you
profile your code and find memory leaks? I don't see
anything like it available under GPL. Why not spend
the cash on something that you can't get for free?
JMO - MODThat's just it. We can''t find an acceptable tool for free. We already have JProbe. We aren't tied to Borland either. It's just that we haven't found that fits our needs for less, yet. My coworker just stopped by to mention that VisualParadigm has some potential.

It's "aspect ratio", not aspect "ration".
It's what determines whether you have square pixels ("normal") or, if rectangular pixels, what the aspect ratio (width : length) of that rectangle is.
It's explained in the Help files. I cannot go into more detail because you have neglected to provide information about your platform and exact version of Photoshop.

We are talking about Rational Suite enterprise edition
2003 for load testing for 500 virtual users in the application.
Further we want to know, whether BC4J component generated by the
JDeveloper support rational VU technique in terms of traffic generation
for volume/performance/load testing for said application.
Whenever I tried to generate traffic for one virtual user, this gives
"generic component, can not identify" in a particular BC4J component.
Otherwise rational tool identify all java classes and generate traffic
except BC4J component.

I have the License Number for CS6 Creative Suite, but when I downloaded Creative Suite and tried to license the product, it keeps coming up with an error, "The Serial Number is not valid for Adobe Photoshop CC." How do I register my product?

Photoshop CC is the equivalent of CS7... and it is available ONLY by paying for a monthly subscription... your CS6 serial number does not work for CC

Adobe CS3 Suite -- How to Get InDesign and Acrobat Pro to Install?

I uninstalled and deactivated my Adobe CS3 Design Premium from my 1st gen Macbook (2006) and installed it on my 3rd gen Macbook Air (2011). When I installed CS3 using the original discs, InDesign and Acrobat did not install properly. How to fix?
My questions:
1. Got any ideas how to install InDesign and Acrobat Pro without uninstalling the whole CS3, running the cleaner tool, and reinstalling everything again? I tried to rerun the installer just for InDesign and Acrobat Pro but I got the same result -- no install.
2. Installing CS3 takes forever -- at least several hours. Is it because I'm sending it over my wireless network? (I'm "sharing" the DVD drive on my other Macbook because my Air doesn't have one.)

(More background, in case it's useful -- before installing CS3, I had run the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to clean up the mess I made when I tried to migrate CS3 using Mac's migration assistant. I learned, thanks to this forum, that I couldn't use the Migration Assistant tomove CS3. I also found that the unistaller didn't transfer, so I manually deleted folders and then used the cleaner. It worked wel enough to allow me to install everything but InDesign and Acrobat Pro.)

This may seem like a dumb question, but how do I properly copy the CS3 install files onto a USB? Drag and drop everythng from the CD? Can I not just copy the files onto my desktop and install from there? That is what I thought Manish suggested, to install from the desktop.
I had tried this method. After copying the install files to the desktop, here's what happened: I clicked the setup application and it opened, but it immediately detected that I had CS3 installed and wouldn't let me go any further. Perhaps that was due to other problems resulting from use of the Migration Assistant.
Previously, when I used the install disk on the shared drive, I was able to open the setup and install the couple of CS3 programs that weren't installed the first time around. That installation attempt failed and led me here to my original post.

Ok, over here now also getting enough of this Ovi Suite. Using it now for few weeks and besides the weird way is works, I am getting enough of the whole time the Ovi Store being pushed in my face, don't like that 1 bit at all. So, is there a way to disable that?
Also, how to stop the Nokia software from constantly making this DalMeasurementFile2.log file? Somehow there are all kind of Nokia things running even when I did disable things (like that resource eating Nokia M Platform)

If you are running Windows 7 the log file is easy to disable. From the Control Panel or Start bar type Local Security Policy.
Under Local Policies --> Software Restriction Polices --> Additional Rules --> Right click and Add a new path rule.
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\DalMeasurementFile2.log
Simply block that path and the log will be unable to write itself. So far I've had no ill effects in my OVI Suite.

CS5 Student Master Suite - How Many Installs

I'm purchasing the CS5 Master Suite Student edition and was wondering how many installs you get. I have both a high end laptop and a desktop at home. I would like to be able to use the more powerful desktop when at home but the laptop while not at home.

Student Teacher is Academic...sorry. There is a cheaper student only version that only gets one activation. You can find all of the student/teacher versions at the Adobe Education Store
Note that you must provide proof of eligibility to purchase the product. Adobe even allows commercial use of the software.

Nokia Ovi Suite - how to set up oneway sync?

untill now I used Nokia PC Suite to update my calender entries from corporate Outlook into my Nokia phone. It was one way sync, the entries I entered on the pohone were not transfered into the corporate Outlook, because I dont want that.
I have recently bought the new Nokia 700 and was therefore forced to upgrade to Nokia Ovi Suite, I have got version 3.1.1.75. I would like it to be set the same way. To transfer new and modified entries from corporate Outlook to phone, but no transfer the other way.
I havent found that option in Nokia Ovi Suite Synchronization settings. How can it be done? Do I need a newer version?

No, Firefox Sync only works with the Firefox data that is stored in the Profile folder in specific files. Plus the file type that Google uses probably isn't compatible with Firefox Sync and Firefox.

Nokia PC Suite how to show 24 hours in Calendar

In the calendar daily and weekly view of Nokia PC Suite, I would like to see the full day: e.g. from 0:00 to 24:00, without the need of vertical scrolling.
I remember there is a setting somewhere, but I am not able to find it anymore.

My PC Suite 7.0.7.0 and Nokia N95 (XP SP2) is working just fine. Everything talks to each other, I have another application which talks to the N95 through PC Suite, also no problem...
but :-)
Sometimes for some reason unknown to me, PC suite looses connection to the phone (some times because I am to far away from the computer...fair enough, other times it just disconnects). The Nokia PC Suite icon in the lower right corner goes "gray".
If disconnected and I open PC Suite, and click on any of the programs, like "Browse phone" it rarely automatically reconnects, some times if I open "Manage connections" and go almost half way through the bluetooth setup it also reconnects.

Is there any way to "force" a connection with the phone again? It seems like PC Suite has its own life on this matter, some times it just re-connects.
Are the any good explanations to when/why it dis- and re-connects to the phone?
Any timeouts I can play with?

I had this problem too and solved it by doing a clean install. After that it was gone.
This is a drastic method since it takes quite some time to reinstall lion and all your software.
Thoughts I had why it started working after a clean install are the following:
It looked like the airport wasn't able to reconnect fast enough before the connection timed out. So what could have prevented my mac from being able to connect fast enough?
Apps that consume processor cycles. I love what I would call 'System Enhancers', little apps that enhance my workflow (Moom, Alfred, Dropbox, Default Folder etc). I'm not saying that these are the problem, they might be programmed processor friendly, but check if you have apps that consume processor cylcles. It might prevent airport from being able to reconnect quickly enough before it times out.
Mobile Config profiles. Another thought I had was that I had a mobile config 802.1X profile installed for the company were I worked. It used TTLS to connect to the corporate network. This profile might have gotten in the way.
And a sidenote...
Routers with hardware acceleration might also be a problem. My router is a Wireless Gigabit Router 300N WL-351 and has hardware acceleration. As soon as I activate that my wifi connection keeps dropping. It is as if a Macbook Air can't handle that amount of optimisation.

Hi. I bought CS5's Master Suite a few years ago. I picked the software version that didn't require CDs. My MacBook Pro I had it on and my iMac both had serious problems (fried logic board in the MacBook Pro). So it's been wiped off of the iMac, and the MacBook Pro isn't able to be used anymore. I'd like to reload it onto the iMac now that it's fixed up, but I can't find it on my Adobe account anymore to download it. What are my options?

Hello,
I guess you have chosen the file system option. If so you need can drag the jazn-data.xml from your CDB ORACLE_HOME in a JDeveloper project. After right-clicking on this imported file you can select the properties. Now you are in a wizard to create users and groups/roles. After modifying your file you can replace it on the server. To find the right location of the jazn-data.xml you can go to the EM Site http://<host>:<port>/em/console/ias/oc4j/sec/secProvs to look for the security provider of the "content" application. Edit the provider and you will see the location of the jazn-data.xml.
