RBE Problem

I have a Big problem with RBE ,
I use RBE to assign static IP to my adsl user :
interface Loopback0
ip address *.*.*.* *.*.*.*
interface ATM4/ima3.1 point-to-point
ip unnumbered Loopback0
atm route-bridged ip
pvc 0/1001
encapsulation aal5snap
when I use RBE , some times my ping time from BRAS to ADLS user which has Static IP increase terribly.
But when I set dynamic IP for that use with pppoe , there is no problem.
pvc 0/1001
encapsulation aal5snap
protocol pppoe
are there any commands that must be used with RBE config ?
or
is it possible that noise is reason of problem , if it's true why in Dynamic situition .
Distance from my DSLAM to MY user is 2-3 Km .
regards

  • Problem with NVIDIA card

    Hello,
    I'm using a Sony VAIO-VGNFE41Z notebook with the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics card. Approximately four days ago the card started to display artifacts on the screen even before the appearance of the VAIO logo during the BIOS initialization process. These artifacts look like green dotted squares, blue randomly placed rectangles and vertical green dotted lines. Since these artifacts appear even before grub takes over the boot process, I really think that this is a hardware issue.
    After the appearance of these artifacts the X server doesn't start up but I still have access to the text console and "nvidia-debugdump -l" displays the following:
    NVIDIA: could not open the device file /dev/nvidia0 (Input/output error).
    Error: nvmlInit(): Driver Not Loaded
    What bothers me however is the fact that I've been using Archlinux on my notebook for approximately one year and before that I used Windows XP for approximately seven years. So my question is whether or not it is possible that the proprietary NVIDIA drivers somehow slowly "destroyed" the graphics card perhaps due to incorrect temperature readings? This is the installation history for these proprietary drivers:

    Is it possible that the last update on 2015-04-07 somehow messed up the graphics card? Although I find it weird, because the problems didn't appear until 2015-04-10. Nevertheless the temperature readings don't seem to work. Here's the result of nvidia-smi:

    So what do you think? Could these problems have been caused by gradual overheating of the graphics card for approximately one year? Or maybe the last driver update somehow messed up the graphics card? I need to know this, because I want to know, whether the problem will repeat itself if I buy another Go 7600 and replace the buggy graphics card with another GO 7600. If it's a "gradual overheating due to a faulty driver"-issue the next card will probably stop working as well after one year. It's interesting to note that nvidia-smi doesn't display the Fan Speed for this graphics card. Does this card have a built-in fan?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Problem with Non-cumulative key figure.

    Hi all,
    I am facing the problem with the Non-cumulative Key Figure (Quantity). I have created and loaded data to the non-cumulative InfoCube. <b>This cube is defined by me to test the non-cumulative key figure.</b>
    <b>In BEx query the non-cumulative key figure and cumulative key figure (Value change) both display same values, i.e. non-cumulative key figure contains the same values which we have loaded for cumulative value change. Non-cumulative key figure is not calculated based on associated cumulative key figure.</b>
    I have done the following while defining the non-cumulative InfoCube:
    1. Created a non-cumulative key figure which is associated with a cumulative key figure (value change).
    2. Loaded data to non-cumulative InfoCube from flat file.
    3. Compressed data in non-cumulative InfoCube after the load.
    Note:
    1. Validity area is determined by the system based on the minimum and maximum date in data.
    2. Validity determining characteristic, 0CALDAY is the default characteristic selected by the system.
    Is there any other settings to be done?
    Please help me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks and regards
    Pruthvi R

    Being a non-cumulative KF, total stock is automatically takes care of that.
    Try putting all the restrictions which you have included for total receipts and total issues, for eg,  restrict Total Stock with the movement types used in Receipts as well as Issues.
    Check and revert.
    Regards

    Well, sorry I can't be of more help than this.  I think the only reasonable thing to try would be to see if it happens in another distirbution with a similar kernel version.  At least then you could try to narrow it down to whether it is specific to your setup, or something that is actually wrong with the hardware.
    I think the ultimate test would be to see if it happens in windows.  Then if it still does it, you can call Lenovo with certainty that it is an issue with the hardware and that you need another.  Fortunately, I am pretty sure it is considered a CRU (Custoner Replaceable Unit), so they would likely just send you a new one, rather than require you send your entire system to them.

  • VERY annoying Mail Problem

    I'm having random mail problems that are quite strange. If I have an E-Mail waiting on my account, when I start Apple mail, it will get the message but the little wheel will just keep turning and then I can't quit mail. I have to do a force quit. Then if I start mail, the same message comes through again and it repeats the cycle. I've tried various things and I've even got rid of all mail preferences and the mail folder and started from scratch and when it tried to create an account, it does the same thing. The funny thing about it is that if I delete the messages on the server and start mail. Any further message will arrive correctly and mail doesn't go into this "loop" and all will be well until the next time I start up mail and there a message waiting to download.
    This thing is driving me up the wall as it seems almost to be a random thing. There are some interesting messages in the console log though that may help. First off, I don't think this problem even started until I installed Safari 4, then, I updated to Safari 4.0.1 today but it didn't help the problem.
    Here's the message I'm getting in the console logs.
    Jun 17 18:57:20 The-Beast Mail[371]: WebKit Threading Violation - NSData* -[WebArchive data](WebArchive*, objc_selector*) called from secondary thread
    Jun 17 18:57:20 The-Beast Mail[371]: Additional threading violations for this function will not be logged.

    Count me in with the same problem. I have spent 5-6 hours already on trying to troubleshoot the issue.
    These are the processes that I have gone through so far:
    --Used Terminal to turn off Mail's auto function for checking for new mail, so that it is check to manual checking. (The reason I had to go through Terminal to accomplish this was my Mail settings were set to check automatically ever minute. After force quitting 10+ times and restarting Mail and trying to get to the preferences and switch to manual checking before Mail started the auto process of checking. I could not beat it in time. LOL <very frustrating> Problem that I encountered, which seems similar to the both of you is that mail would begin the checking new mail process and then I would get the spinning grey gears next to every email account I had in Mail. It just looped and eventually I would have to Force Quit Mail.
    I ran disk permission repairs and keychain first aid. No apparent problems. I removed a couple of 3rd party bundles from user/library/Mail/bundles and /library/Mail/bundles as suggesting in one of Apple's tech documents.
    Still no signs issues rbeing resolved. According to another Apple doc, if you have startup disks from 10.5.7 onwards, you can re-install certain Apple applications without having to reinstall the entire operating system. Mail is one of those Apple applications and I just purchased a new MAcBook Pro which did indeed have 10.5.7 discs.....so I re-installed Mail. No resolve of issues.
    The next step I took was one which I learned from an Apple support call a couple of years ago with a similar mail issue. The tech had me set-up a new user account on the same machine and begin re-adding mail accounts in Mail in the new-user account. I imported the mail messages from the non-working Mail application in original user account. I was able to import folders from old account into the newly created account's folders. Basically I didn't loose any mail. I did not copy over any of the various preferences files associated with Mail. (files ending in .plist)
    So this is where i am now. I am going to do some research regarding any library, pref files etc. that are associated with the Mail. I plan on trashing all those files in my original user account and all data/message files which have already been imported into the new user account.
    My next step will be the transfer the entire Mail folder located at newuser/library/Mail to the original user account in the same location. I will also be replacing any of the pref files mentioned above that I find which are Mail related. With fingers crossed, hopefully Mail will be working fine, just as it now in my newuser account. Wish me luck.
    I'll log back on later to let you know the results. It's a very time consuming process. <sigh>

    Seriously I am getting crazy. I have wireless problems all around the time.  PM is off as listed above. So
    # iwconfig wlp2s0 power off
    Wont help. Enabling n does not help . Nor do I need it.
    How do I get my laptop to receive a proper bitrate?
    Just tell me if you need further information.
    Regards

    Strike0 wrote:To your problem: The bitrate reported should change depending on net load or link quality.
    If you're link is fairly good, it will go up when you download/stream something. It goes down to save power when the bandwith is not needed (or there are wifi troubles, like a bad link quality or interfering signals).
    Well I'am embarrassed. This obviously "solved" the nonexistent problem. I encountered this low bitrate due to conky. (<- is this correct english?) ( http://i.imgur.com/moT6CJ3.jpg ) I watched this value a long time, assuming that it would never change. My fault was to believe that it's static, and as long as I am wired via Ethernet, there's no need for the wireless interface to do any action. The only problem was me, blaming intel for stuff I didnt know
    Thank you WonderWoofy and Strike0 for starting me off.
    **EDIT**
    Shame on me! I just stumbled upon a thread in which WW was telling me the same just 3 months ago. I should try this Ginkgo stuff

  • Problem of PCI express link width and speed

    hello,
    I instantiate the pci express core v1.7 into a pci express endpoint and the core was configured as GEN I x8 or GEN II x4. By using the example design Xilinx offered in the ipcore dir, I could read and write device by PIO mode.
    However, when I check the device’s link width and speed by using lspci –vvvv in Linux, I found that no matter what configurations I set, the device link is always trained as GEN I x1, which means the throughput of device, reduce 8 times. May the most important problem is that all logic in the user layer upon transaction layer are written at 250MHz, and if link width and speed are limited 2.5G/T and x1, I need to change user logic circuit which is a huge work.
    So my question is how to change the PCI express link width and speed in OS side, or I need to change a new motherboard?
    (I guess it related with motherboard, and I check that the PCI express slot in motherboard support GEN II X16. Another issue, when I insert a PCI express GEN II x8 device, the device is also trained as GEN I x1).

  • MSI RX3870-T2D512E-OC Problem

    Hi to all,
    I have a MSI 3870 OC edition, liquid cooled.
    I tried to overclock the card saving the bios, changing clock values from RBE, flash the bios with winflash.
    I done a backup of the original bios before start.
    I flashed the modified bios, everything went ok, restart windows, everything ok...
    after a while the system begin to crash randomly with the freeze of the mouse cursor...
    so i flashed back my original bios, everything went ok, restart windows, blank monitor as soon as the windows desktop were supposed to show.
    format windows, tried Xp, Xp64 and Vista64. ALWAYS VGA SAFE CARD.
    installing driver with no errors, but with a "problem" in device manager.
    I tried to flash every MSI 3870 bios in the techpowerup vga bios collection, but nothing went ok, always the same thing T_T
    can you help me please?
    Thanks and sorry for my bad english,
    Drowne
    PS. I have the white text "MSI" on the sticker of the VGA cooler, so i suppose to have the v 120 and not the 800 one...

    Hi drowne !
    you can try my BIOS, with personal pages on overclockers.ru:

    there need to choose

    This native RX3870-T2D512E-OC\D4 (v.120) BIOS (by clocks), but I edited it turns the turbine.
    best regards!

  • Sound over HDMI problems

    Hi forum,
    I have strange problem. I want to use a Xen HVM Domain with a ATI Card as a HTPC (got this working with a ubuntu 11.10 - want to migrate to arch). Basically everything is working with the catalyst drivers besides some sound problems. Following what is working:
    with smplayer (alsa output):
    - mp3, avi, mkv
    vlc (with default sound - probably pulseaudio):
    - mp3, avi
    mkv is like stuttering and the movie gets interruped very often.
    vlc (with alsa output):
    - mp3, avi, mkv
    mkv is like stuttering and the movie gets interruped very often.
    Flash videos are showing the same behaviour - stuttering a lot.

    This worked on ubuntu 11.10 but not on arch!

    in default.pa i load the alsa sink module with hw:0,3 too.
    behavior did not change.
    any ideas, what is causing the problem? I really dont wont to switch to gentoo just to have a system without pulse (what is maybe the problem?).

    Hi,
    I have some news. With Kernel 3.3 and 3.2 it is not working! Using the LTS Kernel everything is fine! Any Ideas about this?

  • A problem with threads

    I am trying to implement some kind of a server listening for requests. The listener part of the app, is a daemon thread that listens for connections and instantiates a handling daemon thread once it gets some. However, my problem is that i must be able to kill the listening thread at the user's will (say via a sto button). I have done this via the Sun's proposed way, by testing a boolean flag in the loop, which is set to false when i wish to kill the thread. The problem with this thing is the following...
    Once the thread starts excecuting, it will test the flag, find it true and enter the loop. At some point it will LOCK on the server socket waiting for connection. Unless some client actually connects, it will keep on listening indefinatelly whithought ever bothering to check for the flag again (no matter how many times you set the damn thing to false).
    My question is this: Is there any real, non-theoretical, applied way to stop thread in java safely?
    Thank you in advance,
    Lefty

    This was one solution from the socket programming forum, have you tried this??
    public Thread MyThread extends Thread{
         boolean active = true;
         public void run(){
              ss.setSoTimeout(90);
              while (active){
                   try{
                        serverSocket = ss.accept();
                   catch (SocketTimeoutException ste){
                   // do nothing
         // interrupt thread
         public void deactivate(){
              active = false;
              // you gotta sleep for a time longer than the
              // accept() timeout to make sure that timeout is finished.
              try{
                   sleep(91);
              }catch (InterruptedException ie){
              interrupt();
    }

    You can also try to provide a greater Priority to your player thread so that it gains the CPU time when ever it needs it and don't harm the playback.
    However a loop in a Thread and that to an infinite loop is one kind of very bad programming, 'cuz the loop eats up most of your CPU time which in turn adds up more delays of the execution of other tasks (just as in your case it is the playback). By witting codes bit efficiently and planning out the architectural execution flow of the app before start writing the code helps solve these kind of issues.
    You can go through [this simple tutorial|http://oreilly.com/catalog/expjava/excerpt/index.html] about Basics of Java and Threads to know more about threads.

    N.B. And yes there are more articles and tutorials available but much of them targets the Java SE / EE, but if you want to read them here is [another great one straight from SUN|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/essential/concurrency/index.html] .

    Hi all,
    I would like to ask you for a help. I need to write a small program at my university. I started to write a midlet which function would be to countdown time for sports activities. I woul like to start a new thread - the one that counts down - and at the same time make the main thread sleep. After the "countdown" thread finishes, the main thread wakes up and waits for user input. The problem is that when the "countdown" thread finishes his work, I've got Uncaught exception java/lang/NullPointerException. error and the midlet halts.

    Groovemaker,
    Your Licznik class has a member m of type monitor, which has not been instantiated (in other words is null) hence, when calling m.put() you get NullPointerException. Please also mind, that using Thread.sleep(1000) is not an accurate way of measuring time.
    If I may, please use recommended for Java class naming conventions - some of your names use lower case, while other don't which is confusing to the reader.

  • Problem with threads within applet

    Hello,
    I got an applet, inside this applet I have a singleton, inside this singleton I have a thread.
    this thread is running in endless loop.
    he is doing something and go to sleep on and on.
    the problem is,
    when I refresh my IE6 browser I see more than 1 thread.
    for debug matter, I did the following things:
    inside the thread, sysout every time he goes to sleep.
    sysout in the singleton constructor.
    sysout in the singleton destructor.
    the output goes like this:
    when refresh the page, the singleton constructor loading but not every refresh, sometimes I see the constructor output and sometimes I dont.
    The thread inside the singleton is giving me the same output, sometime I see more than one thread at a time and sometimes I dont.
    The destructor never works (no output there).
    I don't understand what is going on.
    someone can please shed some light?
    thanks.
    btw. I am working with JRE 1.1
    this is very old and big applet and I can't convert it to something new.

    Ooops. sorry!
    I did.

  • Problem with Threads and a static variable

    I have a problem with the code below. I am yet to make sure that I understand the problem. Correct me if I am wrong please.
    Code functionality:
    A timer calls SetState every second. It sets the state and sets boolean variable "changed" to true. Then notifies a main process thread to check if the state changed to send a message.
    The problem as far I understand is:
    Assume the timer Thread calls SetState twice before the main process Thread runs. As a result, "changed" is set to true twice. However, since the main process is blocked twice during the two calls to SetState, when it runs it would have the two SetState timer threads blocked on its synchronized body. It will pass the first one, send the message and set "changed" to false since it was true. Now, it will pass the second thread, but here is the problem, "changed" is already set to false. As a result, it won't send the message even though it is supposed to.
    Would you please let me know if my understanding is correct? If so, what would you propose to resolve the problem? Should I call wait some other or should I notify in a different way?
    Thanks,
    B.D.
    Code:
    private static volatile boolean bChanged = false;
    private static Thread objMainProcess;
       protected static void Init(){
            objMainProcess = new Thread() {
                public void run() {
                    while( objMainProcess == Thread.currentThread() ) {
                       GetState();
            objMainProcess.setDaemon( true );
            objMainProcess.start();
        public static void initStatusTimer(){
            if(objTimer == null)
                 objTimer = new javax.swing.Timer( 1000, new java.awt.event.ActionListener(){
                    public void actionPerformed( java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt){
                              SetState();
        private static void SetState(){
            if( objMainProcess == null ) return;
            synchronized( objMainProcess ) {
                bChanged = true;
                try{
                    objMainProcess.notify();
                }catch( IllegalMonitorStateException e ) {}
        private static boolean GetState() {
            if( objMainProcess == null ) return false;
            synchronized( objMainProcess ) {
                if( bChanged) {
                    SendMessage();
                    bChanged = false;
                    return true;
                try {
                    objMainProcess.wait();
                }catch( InterruptedException e ) {}
                return false;
        }

    Thanks DrClap for your reply. Everything you said is right. It is not easy to make them alternate since SetState() could be called from different places where the state could be anything else but a status message. Like a GREETING message for example. It is a handshaking message but not a status message.
    Again as you said, There is a reason I can't call sendMessage() inside setState().
    The only way I was able to do it is by having a counter of the number of notifies that have been called. Every time notify() is called a counter is incremented. Now instead of just checking if "changed" flag is true, I also check if notify counter is greater than zero. If both true, I send the message. If "changed" flag is false, I check again if the notify counter is greater than zero, I send the message. This way it works, but it is kind of a patch than a good design fix. I am yet to find a good solution.
    Thanks,
    B.D.
