RCU for OWSM install

We have an ADF application where we make synchronous call outs to Third party published web services. These web service are secured by username token and SAML token ws-security policies.
After some research we figure that we should leverage OWSM with our ADF application where the client policies can be used to make call to these secure web services.
I understand OWSM can be installed on the weblogic server domain by extending the domain with an OWSM template. But it appears that it needs to connect to database schema for which RCU needs to be used.
Is it OK to download the RCU from the SOA Suite download site even though we are not using any parts of the SOA Suite.
Does the RCU version correspond to the Jdev version ?
So RCU version 11.1.1.6 works for Jdev version 11.1.1.6 ?

Hi,
I just had this messages yesterday during my install.
You have to update those 2 files:
<RCU Home>\rcu\integration\ipm\sql\createtables_ipm_sqlserver.sql
<RCU Home>\rcu\integration\ipm\sql\createuser_ipm_sqlserver.sql
The first 2 lines begin with "Rem ..." which is not correct for SQL Server : I added "--" and it worked.

RCU for SOA Suite in HP-UNIX Itanium version

Hi,
I am trying to install SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.7) in HP-UNIX Itanium version. As per OTN, I have downloaded the RCU for Linux x86 -64bit .But while I am trying to execute that RCU it is throwing error "Platform is not Supported" i.e. attached as screenshot. Can anyone tell me what is the correct RCU for HP-UNIX Itanium version or I need to do any config change in UNIX box?

Ideally you should be able to set up the 64-bit generic installer not sure of the reason...
Please use the correct version of 64 bit jdk and check the logs
You can check out the weblogic admin server logs
BEA_HOME\user_projects\domains\your_domain\servers\AdminServer\logs

I have a box that will not go away, it says, "To open JavaApplication, you need to install a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to check for and install one? If i push not now, it keeps popping up, if I push install, it says it's not available, help.

I have a dialogue box that will not go away and it seems to have started when I upgraded to Mt. Lion. the box says, "To open JavaApplication, you need to install a Java 6 SE runtime. Would you like to check for and install one? (smaller print) Note: Usw of this software is subject to the Software License Agreement applicable to the software you are downloading. Finally there are two boxes to click. One says not now. If I click on that the box goes away for 2 to 3 seconds and then pops back up and WILL NOT go away. If I click on the second box, Install, it says The software is currently unavailable. To install a Java SE 6 runtime later, open Java Application again.
My confusion here is that I have no idea what the java application is, When I click "okay" on that box, the original box pops us again and WILL NOT go away. CGoing to the apple lega web site was no help. My solution so far has been to drag the dialogue box as far to the lower right and out of the way as far as I can. Help.

Does this happen immediately after you log in? If so, one of your login items is probably causing it.

I have Wondows Vista... I tried to upgrade to Itunes 10.5, and received an error orginially stating that I was trying to install a version older than the one I had. I have been in touch with Apple support in reference to my problem. We went through every solution available, and found no fix. The tech then suggested I contact Microsoft concerning this issue. I thought that suggestion was just to get me pointed somewhere but Apple. Boy was I wrong!! I contacted Microsoft, and was directed to a free download called Microsoft Fix. This program fixed something in the regisitor, and wala everything was fixed!! I now have I-Cloud and I-Tunes loaded and working well. So, if you can't install Apple Software and are running Window 7 you might give Microsoft Fix a try, it fixed my problem.....

by "repair" I mean I went to the control panel, option - programs and features, and in the list of all my installed programs I selected "Apple Software Update". On top of the screen you find the options Uinstall, Change and Repair. I clicked the repair button and that did the trick. After the repair I could uninstall the program. I also uninstalled iTunes, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support en Bonjour, thus all Apple programs. Then I installed iTunes 10.5 again and everything went fine.

Repair your Apple software update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU, go to Control Panel:
START/CONTROL PANEL/Programs n Features/highlight ASU and click REPAIR,

Not able to access Itunes store anymore. Just quit working for no reason. I have also tried extracting the individual components to the temp file and attempting to install them individually despite being unable to remove the previous install of Apple Software Updater. The outcome, both Apple Software Updater and itunes encountered the same error message during the install process.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?
