  • Qosmio F50-10B XP Drivers

    Salam everybody :D
I have been looking for the WXP drivers for my new Qosmio F50-10B laptop. Didn't find the drivers online..
Shall I just downgrade on my own risk or do you think they will provide them soon?
How can I request the drivers from Toshiba? Is there a certain process..?
I have a software that runs very slow on Vista.. so I need to downgrade.. :-(
    Any help is appreciate it..
    Thank you
    Buthaina

    Salam my friend
Without much philosophy: obviously the drivers are not available. Not yet. Maybe Toshiba will offer them in the future. Who knows? You can make small experiment and install WXP on second partition or second HDD (if available).
Check in Vista which hardware components your Qosmio has and try to find tem goggling around. If you need it to run some certain software you dont need more than basic hardware configuration without all Toshiba tools and utilities.
For running multimedia stuff you can continue to use preinstalled Vista.

  • Pavilion dm4 1150ea Blutooth not working

    Hi
I have Pavilion Laptop dm4 1150ea.  Blutooth on this is not working and frankly since buying the laptop I did not try connecting devices through bluetooth. Recently I tried this but not succeeded.
When I add a device in blutooth window, it shows available devices, but when I try to pair - it says installed software but the device does not connect to the laptop.
I suspected the driver may be corrupt or old.  So downloaded the latest driver SP51607.exe  When installing, the files are copied but when it installs it, I get the error message that blutooth device hardware must be turned on.  The device is turned on in software settings.
The Device Manager shows some blutooth drivers but with a ? mark. Properties say that software driver is not installed.
How to check that my laptop actually has the blutooth card and that it is working.
I assume since the system shows blutooth, it must be there.
Shall be grateful for anyone who can provide guidance.

    Hi Manjunath
Can't download the drivers by clicking onto the link given by you.  I get errors such as cannot find 'ftp' ..
    Is there any alternative link?
    Also:
Recently I purchased blutooth speakers of JBL make model Charge.  This is detected by my laptop but when software is installed it installs this device as Blutooth Headset and then it is listed under Recording devices.  It should be listed as Bluetooth Speakers and should be seen under Playback devices.
The result is that I can not play music files from laptop on these speakers via blutooth.
I have tried to search for drivers for these speakers.  But the manufacturer says there are no special drivers and that laptop should detect it and configure it.
I can play the music by connected wires with 3.5  m jacks from laptop to Aux In on the speakers.
Are there any generic drivers for Bluttoth speakers that should be / can be downloaded and installed?
    Thanks for your interest.
    Regards

  • Qosmio F30: Multimedia buttons not work after Vista Upgrade

I upgraded my Toshiba Qosmio F30 laptop to the Vista Home premium that I got from microsoft.
After upgrading, the multimedia keys (First row) is not working and also some of the shortcuts which is done by combining the control + Function keys (like Control+F1 to switch off the screen).
After upgrading to Vista, I updated all my device drivers with the second software dvd received with the Vista upgrade.
Also again I updated these drivers with the final Toshiba drivers for Vista dated 25/4/07 on the internet. How to restore the function of these multimedia keys and other keyboard shortcuts which is not working.

Can I ask you: Where did you downloaded the drivers and the tools software?
As I upgraded my machine I had the same problem, so a user told me watching on the Canadian Toshiba website and there I found some useful drivers.
Maybe it helps, but I cannot promise you.

  • IPhone 6 Wifi and Blutooth not working after update!

I updated my iPhone 6 this weekend and did not back it up before doing so.  I now notice that my WiFi and Bluetooth are off and not working! I can't turn the back on.  I reset the phone, I even reset all the network settings, but can not turn them on.  I also noticed that I am not getting text an emails as quick.  My iPad Air is fine, but my phone is really screwed up.  Any suggestions?
Also - I have to say this, what's up with Apple lately? Why so many issues with updates lately? I (and everyone else) pay a lot of money for these devices and the service, how about putting out updates that don't screw everything up for a change.

Read these articles: [iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections - Apple Support] [iOS: Troubleshooting Bluetooth connections - Apple Support]
And it was unwise to not make a backup prior to updating.  That's contrary to what Apple recommends: [Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support] (Before you update Back up your device to iCloud or iTunes.)
And what issues with updates are you talking about?  This is your first post on this forum.

  • Qosmio DX730 - Screen is not working

    Hi,
my screen is not working. I can see that the computer is fine as I can get it to briefly flash into view when I switch the AV input mode, but then the screen just blanks out. I have tried rebooting a number of times, turning off completely, but nothing seems to work.
Any idea on how to fix this?

If your computer works properly in connection with external screen, then the problem could be related to the internal display panel maybe its faulty I said maybe because to find the malfunction, the hardware must be checked by service engineer.
However, from my point of few it could be a display panel issue and this can be fixed only by part replacement.

  • Blutooth not working in XP

From OSX 10.5, the bluetooth keyboard and mouse work fine.
I have a bootcamp partition with XPsp2 installed.
When I boot into it, I have to go into the pairing process.
I let the system pick a passkey for the mouse.. it installs.. fine.
I do the same for the keyboard, but the passkey-entry dialog doesn't wait long enough for me to actually type in the passkey..! It times-out in about 2 seconds! So I have no option but to choose no passkey, which seems to work for that session.
When I reboot, of course all the pairing is forgotten and the keyboard and mouse are dead. I have to go through the procedure again. sigh.
Q: ***? does anyone else see this?

I have nearly the same problem with my wireless keyboard, it works fine under leopard and earlier under Tiger but once I boot in Vista (Bootcamp mode) it does not work unless I shut it off and on and type some few letters until it is recognized by Vista. It work fine during that session but next time I boot into Vista I have to repeat the same procedure again. Any solution or fix to this problem will be appreciated. Just to mention I have no problem with my bluetooth Mighty Mouse.

  • Re: Qosmio X300 - Webcam is not working

    Hi there,
First of all, my apologies if this issue has already been discussed and solved in another thread - I tried searching this forum for "webcam" but didn't get any results.
Right, my laptop model is: Qosmio X300-11S PQX32E-00M00LEN and am currently running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium edition.
I while go I noticed my webcam wasn't working (yes, it used to work once upon time). When I launch the 'Camera Assistant Software' I get the following message " Webcam is either disabled or has failed. Please check your webcam settings."
I tried downloading the driver and reinstall it and the device manager indicates no errors.
Anyhow, yesterday (for some other reasons) I decided to reformat and do a fresh installation of Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium edition. I have installed all relevant drivers from Toshiba website this morning and, still webcam not functioning.
    I would appreciate any input.
    Thanks in advance.

Im wondering why you dont try to recover the notebook using the Toshiba HDD recovery or the recovery disks?
I mean, all drivers and everything else is preinstalled on the Toshiba image and setting the notebook back to factory settings, should help to get the webcam working.

  • Qosmio G40: TV Tuner not working in Windows 7 64bit

    Hi,
After months of patience and following the drivers-info on the Toshiba website,i found it was time to replaced my Vista32 Ultimate with Windows7 Ultimate. It seemed that all drivers now have a 64bit version working under Windows 7, the missing drivers/software could be replace with the Vista 64bit versions. Unfortunately i got some problems with the TOSHIBA PCI DVB-T/Analog TV Hybrid Tuner.
Just searched a couple of ours for a sollution to the TOSHIBA PCI DVB-T/Analog TV Hybrid Tuner (x64) problem with Windows 7. In hardware manager it shows an yellow triangle with an exclamation mark, telling me that there is a problem with the device. Via properties i get an error with code(39).
I have downloaded the drivers from the Toshiba website which returns the following files:
    tisdbt1a64.cab
    TISDBT1A64.inf
    TISDBT1A64.sys
    and an additional 'setISDBTDriverParameters'-regkey.
    1) When i try to replace the drivers by via the properties in devicemanager, i get a message back that the best drivers are already installed and there is no better driver found.
    2) Install manually
There are no instructions to install the downloaded files, nor the regkey. When i try to install the 'inf' file with rightclick, i get a installationerror the the selected inf-file does not suppoert this installationmethod.
    3) When i try to use 'install old hardware', the system ends in blue screen when driver is selected and installed. After booting the system again falls into blue screen. So i had to remove the device using 'save mode'.
    4) I also tried to install Vista 64bit, same behaviour as (3)
    5) I tried both TV-Tuner 2_1_11-ISDB-T and TV-Tuner-2_1_1_0. However, imho the former should be used.
Finally i reinstalled the complete system (from scratch) but same problem occurs.
Any suggestions? I found different threads about only tips are given. Almost no one describes a working sollution.
I have not found any sollution

I have read indicated thread over the weekend. This thread also points to other threads which should have info about correctly installing the drivers. Unfortunately, all these threads points to eachother without really telling how to do a correct installation. Some users seems to be able to use the Vista drivers or the G50 drivers but many others don't. It's strange though, all G40 systems should have the same hardware, no? And after installation of Windows7 they are all equal, no?
    I haven't installed the G50 driver because
    - there is no indication about the type of TV Tuner. I have a TV-Tuner-ISDB-T and it seems that the indicated driver is for the 'TV-Tuner' only (without IDSB-T opton).
    - These drivers are dated 2009 whereas the drivers for G40 are from april 2010.
(although they have a creation date of march 2007 ???)
    - Other users reports same probs with G50 drivers
I tried the G40 32bit, G40 64bit (Vista and Windows7) but none of them work. With the Vista drivers I got nothing but blue screens which finally forced me to reinstall Windows7 from scratch. I don't want to go to the process of reinstalling Windows7 from scratch again...
So, the G40 drivers are published by Toshiba in april 2010. I may trust that these drivers are the ones to be used on my machine? If not, why should i trust all other drivers?
I have noticed that there was an update installed for both TV- and Fingerprint hardware immediatly after installing Windows7. So after installation of W7 and reboot of the system i was notified that there were some updates which includes an update for both hardware components. I installed all drivers and software from Toshiba website AFTER this update installations. This resulted in a problem with both TV- and Fingerprint hardware.
In my second attemt to install Windows 7, i tried to block the automatic updates immediatly after installing Windows7. Don't know if it was succesfull because installation started immediatly and i had to 'cancel' the installation. After this 'cancel', i wasn't sure if something was already installed. Nevertheless, at that point (with no other updates installed), i installed all drivers and software from Toshiba website (with no reboot in-between). After this installation i rebooted my G40 and all but TV-hardware worked (including the Fingerprint Reader). Then i tried to update the TV-drivers without any luck, untill this moring...
This morning I was notified that there were updates to be installed. When i checked out which updates, an update for the TV-hardware seemed to be included. I decided to install this update and guess what... problem is gone!
So here is the list of my 'scucessfull driver installation' with my wireless internet connection active.
(Maybe it's a beter idea to make sure the laptop is not connected to the internet!)
    Initial installation:
    1) Install Windows7 from scratch
    2) After initial installation, switch-off auto-updates for windows
If procedure to install updates is started (otherwise go to 4)
    3) cancell automatic update install, be sure that update TV drivers/Fingerprint Reader are NOT INSTALLED
(eventually go back to recovery point)
    4) Reboot
Install all available Toshiba drivers and software
    5) Install all Win7 64bit drivers/software (skip TV drivers)
    6) Install all Win7 32bit drivers/software
    7) Install all Vista 64bit drivers/software
    8) Install all Vista 32bit drivers/software
    9) Reboot
    Install TV drivers
    10) Install regkey 'SetISDBTDriverParameters'
    (= i changed the regkey from tisdbt1a to tisdbt1a64)
    11) update 'TV-Tuner-ISDB-T' driver using 'Hardware Manager'
    12) Reboot
    Windows update installations
    13) Execute windows updates
    14) Reboot
Repeat 13/14 until TV-driver update is included in the list
It appears that problems are caused by a windows driver update which is installed for both TV- and Fingerprint Reader hardware immediatly after initial installation of WIndows7. I have no time (use my laptop for work too) to re-test above with installation of Windows7 without a connection to the internet. IMHO this should also avoid installation of the autmatic updates immediatly after initial installation. So, if anyone is trying to follow my steps to do a clean installation of Windows7 on a G40 laptop, please do not connect to the internet when initial installation is in progress. Attach to the interne to perform updates after step 12 and let us know the results.

  • Qosmio F30-133 does not work correctly

    Good evening.
I am seriously in need of some help with a problem with my qosmio F30.
    After I include, occurs:
    1. On the screen there are thin white strips. But it continues to be loaded.
    2. There is a window of loading Windows XP.
    3. After that the screen becomes black and the computer more shows nothing.
    I have made the following:
    1. Has loaded a safe mode.
    2. Has disconnected video the device. (Nvidia GF 7600).
    3. And the computer was loaded from video by the device - standard.
    4. After inclusion of video of the device and updating of options of the screen, the problem appears again.
    5. Driver updatings has not helped.
In what there can be a problem? What can I make?
    Kind regards.
    P.S. Excuse for my English(
    upd.
I esteemed a forum and have found a lot of interesting about a similar problem.
    - White strips on the screen appear at loading XP. They are absent on the Toshiba splash screen.
    - At connection external monitors the problem does not disappear.

    hi Alexrus,
since windows is loading correctly as you said the problem seems to be grafics related.
so lets see what we have:
    - broken grafics board > i think this is it
    - broken lcd > i dont think because lights are on and you can still see anything
    - bad wires > the failure should only exist in a special point of oppening of the lid > no
    - a bad bios > there are always more problems if your bios is no good > no
i think this is curable by changing hardware means grafics board.
to be sure see a servicepartner and ask for assistance.

  • Blutooth not working

I have nokia 7230 my bluetooth is not working

Need to provide more details .. Is it Not connecting or not getting enabled. If its not connecting with other devices or other devices can't find your phone, check if it is set to SHOW TO ALL under BT settings. If its not getting enabled (Unable to perform Bluetooth Operation) then you may check whether the Firmware is upto date. or try re-installing the Firmware. You may use the Nokia Suite to do that .. If problem remains, you need to visit Nokia Care to get the device inspected for any Hardware failure ...

  • Re: Qosmio F50-12J - FN key not working with new Value Added Package

    Hi,
I have Toshiba Qosmio F50-12J and have trouble with Value Added Package v 1.2.28.
I can't get the flash cards to work. When I press FN key nothing happens. BTW, I installed VAP on freshly installed Windows 7 64 bit. With the previuos version of VAP that I tried on Windows 7, KeNotify.exe was crashing. Now there is no apparent crash, but nothing happens.
Also, there is a problem with the Button Support utility (touch sensitive controls). Whenever I reboot my system, all the white illumiation LEDs on my laptop are lit although I turned them off.
So, could someone confirm that they have a working Value Added Package v 1.2.28 on Windows 7 64bit ?

    Hi buddy,
Your posting is a little bit confusing and in my opinion you make something wrong. My Qosmio F50 runs pretty good on Windows 7 and I dont have any problems with the FN keys, illumination buttons or other function.
First of all make sure that all drivers are installed!!! I mean chipset, graphic, sound, etc. Check the device manager and if you can find unknown devices or yellow exclamation marks download the missing drivers on the Toshiba page.
The Button Support Utility has nothing to do with Flash Cards support utility. So before you make something wrong, please uninstall Toshiba Value Added Package and Flash Card Supports Utility. Restart the notebook after uninstallation and clean the registry using CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/). If you have clean the registry, restart the notebook again.
Now you should install newest Toshiba Value Added Package. Restart again.
Install Flash Cards Support Utility for Vista. Restart again.
Now you should check if it works or not.
Sorry but thats all what I can say. I dont have any problems on my Qosmio F50 and Windows 7.

  • Qosmio F50 - Microphone not working

For some reason my microphone is not working anymore.
If I go into the Conrol Panel I can see under the Recording tab "Microphone Realtek High Definition Audio Working" but as I speak there are no green bars coming up. And it is not muted or anything like that.
Is there anything anyone can suggest?
    Thanks

    > I don't know how to "check webcam software", so you might have to clarify what you mean by that.
Sorry mate; my mistake. It seems that the old webcam software called Chicony Webcam software contained the mic settings.
But the new webcam software on my new Win 7 Toshiba notebook does not contain this mic setting.
So I assume you don't have this as well but you can still check this
Ycan find the webcam software in all programs -> Toshiba -> Utilities -> webcam software.
However, back to yoru screen shot; I look like the mic is marked as default. thsi is ok.
Then you should check the properties is this mic.
Choose this mic and click on Properties.
There you will find different tabs:
The second tab called Listen (i think) contain an option which allows you to disable the mic to save power. Please check if this is not chosen!
The third tab allows you to increase the mic volume level!
    Hope this helps!

  • Re: Fn not working with Windows 7 on Qosmio F

After installing VAP for Windows 7 on toshiba website.. flash card and everything is working.. but now my function key is not.
I can access the flashcard using the mouse but my FN key is totally dead.. using OEM WINS 7

1.) Download the VAP from the Toshiba US Page
2.) Download the Flash Card Support Utility
    3.) Install VAP and restart
4.) Try to open the Flashcards
5.) If it does not work, install the Software Flash Card Support Utility
at the beginning, i used also the US Driver, and it worked for me
i can also upload all my Qosmio F50-113 Drivers if u want:
