On the night of 1/11, I shut down my computer and went to bed, everything was fine. Got up this morning 1/12 and turned on the computer before I left house. When Verizons home page loaded all the icons appeared only they are all 4 or 5 times the size they are supposed to be. The way they are now they take up half the size of my monitor and it is HP w2338h, and do not know what to do to shrink all the icons back to thier proper size. I did nothing that I am aware of that made this happen, CAN SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP ME RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM ?

Try pressing Ctrl + 0 on your Keyboard while your web browseri is open and displaying Verizon's Homepage. It sounds like the Zoom may have gotten messed up.

Short cut change icon is disabled and icons are generic

(I am not sure if this is correct forum, I don't know if this is for Visual Studio Setup Installation projects or for Installing Visual Studio itself)
I've created a Setup/Installation project for a WPF .NET 4.5.2 application and everything works fine with the exception of the program Icons.
After I run the Setup - the short cut on the Desktop and Start menu (Win 7 and Win 8.1) shows generic Icon and when I right click and select properties the Open File Location and the Change Icon buttons are disabled, but if I click on the short cut it runs
the program.
In the Setup project I specified which icon to use from the exe program and I even added an icon do the project and pointed to this icon, but the icons still show up as generic.
Any advise on how to fix this?

From the answer, we could show up the desired icon in the following way.
right-click on the Deployment Project
pick menu item View > File System
in the File System window, find the shortuct whose icon you want to change (for example, under "Users's Programs Menu")
go to the shortcut Properties (right-click and pick "Properties Window")
go to Icon
Browse...
change "Files of type" to *.exe
browse to and select your "primary output"
OK, OK
And you could also change the icon in the Control Panel's "Add or Remove Programs" list.

Are you working on a background layer? If so, Ctrl + T will not work. Press Alt and double-click your background layer to convert to a normal layer (or right-click BG layer and select Layer from Background) and try again.
If you're working in Photoshop CC 2014 you can go to Preferences > Experimental Features and tick "Scale UI 200% for high-density displays" to make your buttons and icons larger.

Sounds like a question for a Windows 7 support forum. I don't use Win7, but in WinXP if you right-click a desktop icon and open Properties, there is a button for '''Change Icon'''. As finitarry alluded to, you will need to come up with your own icon file of the correct size. Keep in mind that Nightly updates frequently, actually it updates '''''nightly''''', and you may find that you need to replace that icon every day. My web page short cut icons have chnged

My O/S is Windows 7 and I use the latest Firefox.
I have trouble with some of the Icons for web page short cuts, that I save to the Desktop. I make these short cuts from the Firefox browser on to my Desktop, using the drag and drop method. When I make a short cut, I keep the icon that automatically appears with it, which is specific to that particular web page. Some of the icons have changed arbitrarily. This happened after I cleaned the Computer using a third party programme. I tried making new short cuts after deleting these, but the same wrong icons keeps coming back.
See the two icons in attachment. One is showing the proper icon for g-mail and the other just a blank wrong icon.
How can I get back the original icons for these short cuts?

I agree that a shortcut to iTunes is a rather moot issue, but as you see I did discover what may be a bug in that I can assign a shortcut to iTunes but it does not work.
I actually have the opposite issue - I don't like iTunes and hardly ever use it and every time I DL an mp3 and select it incorrectly, it opens under iTunes, it takes a while before I can get rid of it.
One day I will have to check my defaults and remove iTunes from the list entirely.

Combining short cuts

I have a large number of docs to open and amend in CS2. When I open them frame edges show, guides show, invisibles show, is there a way of combining the short cuts for these into one key combination so I can hide them all with one click?

Use one of the other preview modes...
such as the one that shows bleeds.
Look at the bottom of the toolbar. There are two icons. The left one is for Normal (w) view. The right defaults to Preview (w). It has an arrow on it. Click and hold to see the list of options, including Bleeds.
Once selected, that alternate preview mode (such as bleeds) becomes the target mode for the
w shortcut.
Of course, that assumes that you have bleeds defined in the document setup.

Short Cut for Ratings in iTunes?

Hi,
I'm looking to find out the shortcut on how to give my songs a rating without having to select the stars each time with my mouse. Is there a short cut like there is like in iPhoto where you click command and the number and it rates it for you.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's an add on program called Synergy, which I've used which will allow you to set keyboard shortcuts for ratings. There are also probably a variety of other programs that do the same thing. Try a search at www.versiontracker.com
In the end, I found it was easier to just use the iTunes icon in the dock rather than try to remember shortcuts, keep another piece of software up to date, etc.
