Dear Experts,
i have a critical requirement where in i need to default some text in the form on clicking a button on the form.
I have created an ISR button on the form and created a new backend generic service to default the text on the form. The generic service works fine.
Now when i click the button on the form, my generic service is getting called and at the same when i click "Check and send" button the same generic service gets called.
So i now want to check inside my generic service, when my button is getting called and when "Check and send" gets called so that i can restrict my piece of code from getting executed for check and send alone.
Is there a way? Appreciate your help.

Sounds like Solomon believes rules are the answer here. Unfortunately, rules wouldn't work unless you start creating flags to execute them on. Wacky design if you ask me for such a simple task haha
May I recommend you look into a user event to handle this problem. It's exactly what they were built for. User events are similar to check events yet it allows you to select what fields you want to process. In this case, you'd create a user event to process only this field (along with some other special fields, if needed).
You will have to modify the javascript on your Adobe form button to call the user event. Simply specify the user event name in the ISR_EVENT paramter. I believe the SAP delivered requisition form has a sample of this? Pretty straight forward stuff.

Put the button click into an action listener and build the new frame there. The code I have below isn't exactly what you're doing (it's amazingly oversimplified), but it's probably similar enough to get your wheels turning in the right direction.

Wpf open PDF file in Adobe Reader with a click on a button

I need a button to open a PDF file with Adobe Reader. I have the following code but it does not work. The file is inside Books folder

In my experience, I suggest that you could set Copy to Output Directory property of the PDF file to “Copy always”.

Standard backend service data vanishes on click of a button in HCM Forms

Hi,
I have a form which displays data from standard backend service SAP_PA and also from custom generic service.
When I click on a button in the form, the data from SAP_PA is disappearing.
Error message 'Please enter Personnel Number' is displaying.
Please help me to resolve the issue.

Data is from standard backend service which is independent of user events..
Data is displaying for the first time when form is dispalyed on the portal but when user clicks on any button, data is disappearing...
Can you tell us the patch level of the system required for ESS MSS ??
As of now our system patch level is 11,,
This might be a problem for data vanishing?

Oh the same thing happens when i try to download free iTunes. Yes I have tried & tried it again I even logged off and singed back in-- no joy
After accessing my iTunes account I was not able to change anything like my credit card number when I tried and was sent right to the 'Your session has timed out. Try again.'
The last time I purchased any anything was on September 25th 2011 and the 'terms & conditions' page was last updated on October 12, 2011

I am having the same problem also! I posted on here about it, but no one has responded with ideas. I called technical support and e-mailed them, the only suggestions they gave was for the to turn off my firewall. But I didn't change anything, so it shouldn't suddenly stop working. Maybe this is just an iTunes issue? But it doesn't even recognize my account anymore, and I cannot log in now.
If you happen to get an answer, will you please let me know what works for you?

Adobe reader opens "save as" box when clicking on save button rather than saving in the same file

Hi everybody,
I have a fillable PDF form designed in Livecycle designer and it is reader extended. When I fill that form on MAC it let me fill and save the form as many times as I like. Everytime I make any change I just click the save button it saves changes in the same form. BUT is is behaving differently on Windows. After filling the form out when I click on save button it opens up "Save as " dialogue box to save a new copy with those changes. I have Adobe reader XI and Adobe Acrobat XI installed on windows. I know I can do that with Acrobat but I want that in reader for users who dont have acrobat.

If so, then sync it to your iphone.

Issue of data getting wiped out when user clicks on back button..

I have a selection program which displays ALV on execution. Now I have programmed the "Back" Button of standard toolbar so that when comeone clicks on it, it should leave to selection screen.
WHEN 'TBACK'.
LEAVE TO TRANSACTION SY-TCODE.
But when I do that, the values entered by user during execution of selection screen wipes out and all the selection fields become empty. How can I make sure that when sure clicks on 'Back' button, the selectiuon screen is presented but with values in which user put during execution.

Leave to transaction sy-tcode is as as good as call transaction...so basically using this statement will start the transaction afresh..and give a new selection screen....
Better option would be to leave to screen 0 (preferaby used for a report )which will take you back to the previous screen processed or leave to screen XXXX for a particular screen( in case of a module pool )

Creation of UI elements on click of a button in ADOBE form

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement which is ,
on the ADOBE form after pressing some action Button i need to create a row of UI elements like Textbox label and Radio button with the values coming from Backend WDA application.
Number of rows created are equivalent to number of times button is clicked.
Also in some cases i have to preload the rows with the existing data.
Please let me know if this requirement can be accomplished in ADOBE form.
Any inputs ,Suggestion and help will be very helpful.

I resolved this by creating elemnts in WD context on click of a button in ADOBE form,And in form i used the WD context structure as a table with required cell editors.
PDF form should be of type dynamic in this case.

How to cancelling email submission after user clicks "yes/no" button of message box?

could some one tell me, how can i cancelling the submission event after one user clicks "yes/no" button of message box? The scenario is the following:
After data input in a dynamic form clicks the user send mail button. Before the email submit, the user has to decide going back to the form and validate the input or continuing to submit email.
In case of going back to validate input the submission event must not solve. So, how can i implemente it in java and/or form calc script?

The most easy way to solve your problem is to add two buttons, the first should be regular button and the second is submit by e-mail one. Set the
'presence' property of the second to 'hidden' and add to it your email address. To the first button on 'click' event add the script like this

When I click on the safari button a blank screen comes up for about one second, then minimizes. I have checked wi-fi connection, and all is fine. Facebook and maps apps still work.

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data (Clear Cache on iOS 4) and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Closing a Pop Up Window on click of a button

Hi Forum,
In the parent view there is a button, on click of this button a new pop up window is opened.
This pop up window also has a button (Submit). Onclick of the submit button in pop up window I need to performe some code execution and then close this pop up window.
I tried the steps given in the weblog

But it does not seem to be working.
Any other way to achieve this or what might I be doing wrong here?
