Read Historical Trend VIs do not return all of the data between start and stop.

My Main.vi manually writes data to Memory tags in DSC. If my Main is running, calls to Read Historical Trend.vi and Read Historical Trends.vi sometimes take a very long time (~60 seconds in some cases). In addition, most of the time the last data point from that time period is missing.
For example, I have a discrete tag that is False before the start time, and goes True and then False again before the stop time. I know that this happens because I can see it in the Tag Monitor. However, when I call Read Historical Trend.vi, only 2 data are returned: a 0 with a timestamp from before the start time, and a 1 with a timestamp just after the start time. There is no 0 with a timestamp befor
e the stop time, but there should be. If I wait for several and then try again, sometimes the data will be correct. But if I stop Main.vi and try again with the same exact timestamps, the data are returned immediately and nothing is missing.
I also occasionally get Error -1967390704 occurred at CIT_ReadStringTrace.vi. I'm not sure what causes that, because it doesn't happen every time.
I am using Labview 6.0.2, DSC 6.0.2 with the fixes, and the latest Logos (4.4).

Jake,
We have identified the issue and developed a potential workaround. Please create an email (not discussion forum) request so we can contact you on this.

    My MacBook Pro, does not start after pushing start button. The side bar starts and stops at half way.

    Hy myneck,
    Happy Holidays!  The resource below may provide some steps to try if your MacBook Pro won't start.
    Troubleshooting: My computer won't turn on - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/TS1367
    This article discusses what to do if your Mac won't turn on. To differentiate this from a display issue, be sure that when you press the power button:
    You don't hear a startup chime.
    You don't hear any fan or drive noise.
    There is no video on your built-in or external display
    If your computer has power but doesn't display any video, it may have one or more of these similar symptoms when you press the power button:
    You may hear a startup chime.
    You may hear fan or drive noise.
    You may see a light from the Sleep LED (if your Mac has one).
    Pressing the Caps Lock key on the keyboard causes it to light.
    If any of these display-related conditions occur, see Troubleshooting: My computer has no video instead. Otherwise, continue with this article.
    If your computer won't turn on, try each of these steps:
    Verify you have a good connection from your Mac to the wall outlet by confirming the power cord and adapter if present are securely connected and plugged in. To check if the wall outlet is working, plug in a lamp or other electrical device.
    If the wall outlet is working and you continue to have no power try another power cord or adapter if available. If it works you may need a replacement cord or adapter.
    Note: See Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters for further troubleshooting with MagSafe adapters.
    Disconnect all accessories that are plugged in to the computer, such as a printer, hub, or other mobile device.
    If your Mac supports user-installable memory, solid state drive, or hard drive, and you recently installed any of these, make sure they are installed correctly and are compatible with your computer. If possible, reinstall the original memory or drive into the computer to find out if the behavior persists afterwards.

  • Using the spacebar for starting and stopping a clip does not work

    Hi!
    The spacebar for starting and stopping the playing of a clip in the viewer of a sequence in the timeline has a live of its own. Without changing any setings, it sometimes works, but mostly not. Is there a seeting, I have not figured out yet? While in a session with Final Cut Express, it does not change its behavior. It starts with a working or not working spacebar. The same applies to the arrows to go back and for a frame, or back and for a clip. If the spacebar does not work, the arrows do not work either.

    thanks everybody. But my spacebar and arrow keys still do not work.
    As uggested, I deleted the preferences in the library (which is also what is suggested by fcpbook.com/Misc1.html)
    I am used working with Final Cut for some time now. And just got myself a new iMac and the program. So everything is quite new. I did not change any settings so far.
    The first 2 days everything was fine.
    Then, one day, the spacebar and the arrow key stopped working. Not in the middle of a session, but when I started the FCE new. Inbetween, it worked for some time. Now, the spacebar is gone again.
    It's just the function of playing the clip that does not work. In whatever window (timeline, viewer). The function of the spacebar to make a space (for example in te name of clip or in a text file) works fine.
    I would not mind the spacebar that much, but I miss the arrow keys to go from frame to frame, or from clip. It's strange.

  • I have the same account as my family but I want to make and use my own iCloud, so I need to get my family's off my iPhone but I DO NOT want all of the data on my phone to be deleted off. How do I make and switch my account without losing my data?

    I also don't want to get rid of my family's data, either! Thanks!

    To migrate your data to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you wish to keep on your phone to your camera roll (unless they are already there).  To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  Next, if you are syncing notes with iCloud you will need to open them one at a time and email them to yourself so that you can later use the emails to copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.
    Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted.  (This only deletes the account from your phone, not from iCloud.  Other's still using the account will not be effected by this.)  Then sign back in with a new Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge when prompted to upload your data to the new account.  When you turn Mail to On you will be prompted to choose your new @icloud.com email address (if you wish to use iCloud email).
    Once your device has successfully migrated to a separate account, you can go to icloud.com from your computer, sign into your new account and delete your other family member's data from your account.

  • Getting the data between Sunday and Saturday of last week.(DAYS NOT DATES)

    I have a stored procedure (that has no parameters right now) and does some extraction of data from different tables. One of the table has a column called 'DeliveryDate'.
    Based on the requirements, I have to create an SSRS 2008 R2 Report out of that stored procedure, so that users can see the data of last week from Sunday(Start DAY) to Saturday(End DAY). Even if it is Wednesday today, they should be able to see the data
    from Last Sunday to this Saturday. I don't want to get data of Monday, tuesday or wednesday. Also, these values shouldn't be STATIC. Meaning, if one user wanted to see deliveries on 04-15-2011, then he shoud see the values of the previous week (and NOT
    CURRENT week)
    1. Do I need to create parameters in my stored proc. Are they needed at all ?
    2. Should I use DateAdd, Datediff functions (If someone can explain, how will they be calculated!)

    to get last week sunday and saturday use below. I prefer to use parameters.
    set @startdate = DATEADD(wk,
    DATEDIFF(wk,
    0,
    getdate()),
    -2) --for
    sunday
    set @enddate = DATEADD(wk,
    -1,
    DATEADD(wk,
    DATEDIFF(wk,
    0,getdate()),
    -1))-- for saturday

    If I run the query on 5/4/2014, will it give me 4/27/2014 for Sunday and 5/3/2014 for Saturday? Meaning if I run it on a Sunday, it will give me the previous Sunday and not the current Sunday's date.

  • Read historical trend is hanging up after 100-250 consecutive reads

    I have a state machine setup to read historical data for a selected array of tags. I have several different sets of tags that I want to read. The state machine will read data and display a trend for each of the eights tags in the array. The vi works fine on another computer. I have moved to another computer and the read historical trend vi hangs after anywhere from 100-250 total executions of the 'read historical trend vi' that comes with labview. open the file 'my 90hd all stations at once StateMachine.vi' and look at state 3 in the case structure. Inside the file 'read hist data and turn into cluster.vi' is where the program is hanging up at the read historical trend vi. Since the read histori
    cal trend vi is password protected, I can't get inside it to see what is happening. I am running logos 4.4.0.17 and the dsc6.1 updates from feb26 2003. this is on a win 2000 machine. I have also deleted the entire CITADEL database and created a new set of data. This same style of vi exectues on another computer without hanging while reading historical data. I have the state machine setup to auto update the data every 900 seconds and it will hang eventually after so many updates. Any thoughts on fixing would be appreciated.

    I did not run your example/db. If you say that it happens on one PC but not on another, I guess it depends on a Windows 2000 OS setting.
    You sould make sure Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> System >> Advanced >> Performance Options >> Optimize performance for: is set to Applications.
    I've seen this before and NI R&D told me that this is maybe an issue in the Citadel 4 interface. However, with the new LabVIEW DSC 7 and the new Citadel 5 this issue seems to be resolved and you should be able to develop a multithreaded application in LabVIEW DSC even with the setting to be in Background.
    Please let us know if the workaround fixes the problem for the Read Historical Trend.vi hang and check out the cool new features in i.com/labview/launchpad.htm>LabVIEW 7, LabVIEW 7 DSC Module.

  • "Read Historical Trend(s)" gives one point too early.

    I'm using LV6.0.2/LVDSC 6.0.2. It's my first time using LVDSC.
    I'm finding that "Read Historical Trend" and "Read Historical Trend(s)" vis always return a data array with the first point being earlier than the 'start timestamp' input to the vi.
    Is this:
    1) normal behavior for the vi.
    OR
    2) due to the fact that my installation of the 6.0.2 updates did not go smoothly (I sometimes get a "secondary dll cannot be found" error msg when I start LV by opening a vi with "Read Historical Trend(s)" in its hierarchy ... no error when the vi is opened when LV is already running.)
    NI Support has recommended that I do a complete unintall/reinstall which I'm about to do. I'm just curious as to w
    hether the extra early point is due to my poor interpretation of what 'start timestamp' means or my bad installation.
    TIA. Donald
    =====================================================
    Fading out. " ... J. Arthur Rank on gong."

    This behavior is by design in the Citadel database's query interface.
    The reason is if you drew a graph of the data returned by your query, and had the axis limits set to the start and stop time of the query. If we returned only the first point with a timestamp >= start time, <= stop time, then the graph would imply that there is NO data, or that logging was off, or that the data was bad before or after the end points. That is not true in those cases.
    In terms of graphical displays, this is not a problem. You need to set the start and end time of the X-axis, and do NOT choose "loose fit", and do NOT choose autoscaling. The behavior of the graph is easy to configure to get the proper visual look, which will then also include an accurate reflection of the data in the
    system.
    If you want to eliminate that first value, use the Array Subset function to get the remaining values.

  • Regular Report Not Returning All Rows

    Greetings,
    On APEX version 4.1.1.00.23 Using latest versions of Chrome and IE. I found some threads that discussed this aspect some, but not to the extent that is helpful to my situation.
    I know it is crazy to have APEX return 40K+ rows on a report, but I have a need to do so. I need to return that many rows from a table so that an APEX page can be opened via Excel and then have an Excel macro run over the report results and import all 40K+ rows into a worksheet. As I said, that's crazy, but the decision isn't mine. :-) We have the macro working and it passes parameters to the APEX page and imports data from the APEX page.
    Also, the report has 14 columns on it, not that many.
    Given the requirement above I have a regular report page that only has the report and 2 page items on it. The page items contain values that are passed via Excel and are then used in the WHERE condition of the report. Using the same WHERE condition, when I run the SQL for the report outside of APEX it returns 46,840 rows. I have the both the Number of Rows and Maximum Row Count settings set to 50000. And, I have the Pagination Scheme set to Row Ranges X to Y of Z (with pagination).
    When I run the page and enter the selection criteria the report only returns 15,500 rows. Yes, that's a lot rows. And, it takes about 5 minutes to populate. But, it doesn't return ALL of the rows. Also, the pagination suggests that all rows were returned because it reads - row(s) 1 to 15500 of 15500. I have changed the pagination and max rows settings a lot to see of it's just a matter of having the correct report setting. I've yet to find a setting that will cause the whole 46840 result set to be returned.
    It may end up that the report selection needs to change in order to return fewer rows. But, regardless of that why isn't APEX returning the complete result set now? And, is there a way to force it to return the complete result set regardless of the size?
    Any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks, Tony

    cloaked wrote:
    Thanks for the response. Yup, you're correct. Downloading to a CSV might be better. I've set reports up that way many, many times. I have even developed pages that import from a CSV into APEX using PL/SQL, years before it was an APEX feature. I initially set the report up to allow it to be downloaded, but the user doesn't want it to work that way.
    The worksheet will be used by a lot of people in our accounting department and they want the process to be as simple as possible. Right now Excel opens up the APEX page, logs into the application, passes parameters to it for the month and company, hits the Select button, waits on the report to build, then automatically imports it, and finally closes the page. It is quite slick. Yes, it takes 5 minutes to run, but the user is OK with that given what the automation provides.
    So, in order for the automated import to work properly all 45K rows need to display on one page, without pagination. I currently have pagination on the page simply to determine if APEX is returning all of the rows.A process of this nature might work better using an export: XML or export: CSV report template, which won't go anywhere near pagination. When a page containing a report using these templates is requested APEX sends the report results in XML or CSV format rather than rendering the page. This should be faster, avoid complications with pagination, and be easier to parse in Excel.

  • Loop Not Returning All Rows

    I finally need to turn to the forum after trying for a few days to resolve my problem I decide to turn to the Oracle people for help.
    The following code below does two things:

    2. If I take the get_menu_label out side of it's own loop it returns but does not return all the data.

    Javier, this the wrong way to use PL/SQL. Oracle SQL can do all this for you using JOINs.
    This code, even if it did work, would be terrible slow - unable to scale with data volumes.
    This code breaks a few fundamental Oracle rules:
    - row-by-row processing using PL/SQL
    - huge number of context swicthes per PL/SQL loop iteration
    - not maximizing SQL and minimizing PL/SQL
    I suggest you trash this code and write a SQL JOIN instead.

  • RowSetIterator not returning all the rows

    Hi,
    We have a use-case where we need to create a new row iterator to insert rows(values) in it. Immediately after insertRow(), we are reading the values by creating a secondary row set iterator (createRowSetIterator) but it is not returning all the inserted rows. Here is the code snippet:
    Code to insert rows:
    public void insertTerrLineOfBusiness(CreateOperation operation, TerritoryVORowImpl newTerritoryRow, TerritoryVORowImpl selectedRow){
    if((operation.equals(CreateOperation.CREATE))
    || operation.equals(CreateOperation.COPY)
    || operation.equals(CreateOperation.ADD_EXISTING)){
    RowIterator selTerritoryLineOfBusinessIter = selectedRow.getTerritoryLineOfBusiness();
    //RowIterator newTerrLineOfBusinessIter = newTerritoryRow.getTerritoryLineOfBusiness();
    ViewRowSetImpl newTerrLineOfBusinessIter = (ViewRowSetImpl) newTerritoryRow.getTerritoryLineOfBusiness();
    newTerrLineOfBusinessIter.setAssociationConsistent(true);
    while(selTerritoryLineOfBusinessIter.hasNext()){
    TerritoryLineOfBusinessVORowImpl selTerrLineOfBusinessRow =
    (TerritoryLineOfBusinessVORowImpl)selTerritoryLineOfBusinessIter.next();
    TerritoryLineOfBusinessVORowImpl newTerrLineOfBusinessRow =
    (TerritoryLineOfBusinessVORowImpl)newTerrLineOfBusinessIter.createRow();
    newTerrLineOfBusinessRow.setTerritoryVersionId(newTerritoryRow.getTerritoryVersionId());
    newTerrLineOfBusinessRow.setLobCode(selTerrLineOfBusinessRow.getLobCode());
    newTerrLineOfBusinessIter.insertRow(newTerrLineOfBusinessRow);
    Code to read:
    public List getTerritoryLobsValues() {
    List <String> lobsValues = new ArrayList<String>();
    if (this.getTerritory().getCurrentRow() != null) {
    TerritoryVORowImpl territoryVORowImpl =
    (TerritoryVORowImpl)this.getTerritory().getCurrentRow();
    if(territoryVORowImpl.getTerritoryLineOfBusiness() != null){
    ViewRowSetImpl territoryLob =
    (ViewRowSetImpl)territoryVORowImpl.getTerritoryLineOfBusiness();
    RowSetIterator itr = territoryLob.createRowSetIterator(null);
    if(itr!=null){
    while(itr.hasNext()) {
    Row r = itr.next();
    String lobCode = (String)r.getAttribute("LobCode");
    lobsValues.add(lobCode);
    itr.closeRowSetIterator();
    return lobsValues;
    Can anybody suggest what could be the issue? How to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Akhila

    Giving secondary rowSetIterator a name did not help in resolving this issue.
    If I am calling postChanges() before reading from secondary row iterator then its returning all the inserted values. But this.getTransaction().postChanges() is a JAudit violation, so cannot use it:

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that Search is not returning all STS_Web.
    You need to set the Trim Duplicates to false, please follow the steps as below:
    Export the Search Results Web Part from your page.
    Open the .webpart file in your favorite editor.
    Search for “Trim Duplicates”, you will find it as part of the DataProviderJSON property.
    Set the Trim Duplicates property to
