Read Only access to UCCX server

  Hi,
I would like to know if it was possible to create an account for Read Only access for server in UCCX 8.02.
Saima

Saima,
Unfortunately no it is not, you have either Admin access or supervisor access. The admin access has full access and supervisor access allows configuration of the RM subsystem either foe own team or all teams.

  • How enable read only access for ACS server itself

    Hi,
We would like to know whether its possible to create a read only access to the ACS server. Currenlty ACS server has a generic login with full admin rights.
We need to create a login to couple of users to log into ACS to check the "Report and Activity" tab. Access to all other tabs should be disabled.
We are using ACS4.0 verison. Please let me know whether its possible.
    Thanks
    Nachi

    Hi,alexchy8
We can make use of 2 PowerShell commands to achieve this goal.
    Add-MailboxPermission and Add-MailboxFolderPermission.
Execute the Add-MailboxPermission command to delegate the read permission at mailbox level.
Execute the Add-MailboxFolderPermission command to delegate the required permissions on specific folders inside the mailbox.
You can read the following article as reference:

  • How to configure Mailbox Read-Only access for Mailbox's owner on Exchange Server 2010?

I have to configure the Exchange Server 2010's mailbox to only grant Read-Only Access on the mailbox's owners.  So they can only allowed to read their messages and cannot modify or remove them.  Are there any references or methods to do?

    Hi
    1. First create a user like readonlyweblogic using some password in Weblogic Console. In Weblogic Console itself, select this new user and go to his Group Memberships and add a Group named Monitors. This means this user has Monitor role for Weblogic Console. Monitor is a Read Only access role to the weblogic console.
    2. NOW, with full admin privileges user, login into EM Console. Select soa_infra, right click mouse -> Security -> Application Roles. On right side, click green arrow and see list of Roles shown. Select the role named SOAMonitors, click on this. And add a User to this that is created above like "readonlyweblogic".
    3. Close all the browsers. Open a new browser and test weblogic console and em console with this new user.
I have this setup like this in many envs and they all work fine. They are read only access users for admin console and em console.
    Thanks

  • Read-only access when saving metadata to file from Adobe Lightroom on a MAC OS to Windows shared drive

We have a group of 5 people editing and indexing photos to a shared drive on a windows server, everyone has its own catalog and working on different folders to avoid any locking conflicts.
The windows computers don't have any problems but the Mac's don't write the updated metadata to all files because they get the message "Photos have read-only access".
    The environment is the following:
    2x Macs workstations running:
    - Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1
    - iMAC with MAC OS X Yosemite 10.10.2
    3x Windows Workstations:
    - Windows 7
    - Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1
    Server:
    - Shared drive on a Windows Server 2012 Standard
I have searched the internet, no one has this problem with this exact setup but I have tried all the solutions I found, namely:
    1. Connect to the network drive with cifs:// protocol
    2. Change the settings of the nsmb.conf for 'smb1_only' protocol
    3. Mount the drive manually by command line
    Nothing worked, any ideas?

Did you ever find a solution to this problem?  I have the same issue and wonder if Lightroom 6 will resolve it.  I  tried AFP, SMB2, SMB3 and they all failed to save metadata randomly. When I use NFS from OS X then it works fine but it's a little slower than SMB and it's not as native as the mount via AFP or SMB, so it's harder to maintain.     My server is a FreeNAS 9.2 (FreeBSD) which is running Samba, Netatalk and native NFS.

  • Read only access for objects in application designer

I want to apply read only access to all the objects in application designer. I would like to know how we can do this.
    Jayaprakash Tedla

    Jayaprakash,
    On 8.48 :
    1. Create a PERMISSION LIST
1.1 leave empty the navigator homepage
1.2 leave unchecked Can Start Application Server? and Allow Password to be Emailed?
1.3 On Pages tab, leave it empty
1.4 On PeopleTools tab, check Application Designer Access, then click on Definition Permissions, Tools Permissions Miscellaneous and Permissions, and put there the rights as well as you want. You can put Read Only on all component in one shot by clicking on the button, or one by one by choosing in the listbox for each type of components.
1.5 leave all other tab blank
    2. Create a ROLE, and add the permission list created on step 1.
    3. Create the user, and give the role created on step 2.
    4. Open Application Designer, connect there with the new user, and enjoy on read-only access.
    Hope this help,
    Nicolas.

  • Read only access for bpel console in SOA Suite 10.1.3.5.1(weblogic)

    Hi
For SOA Suite 10.1.3.5.1 on weblogic, Is there any way to restrict certain users to some pages in bpel console.. e.g. read only access to bpel console.
I have found articles on web regarding this but they all are for SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 (and 3.4) on Oracle app server. Article provides a hack by using servlet filters.
How to do a similar thing in SOA Suite 10.1.3.5.1 on weblogic ?
Can somebody provide step by step instructions?
    Thanks

    Hi James,
I have already seen this link and several refined versions of it but it wont work for weblogic. For example
There is no j2ee/oc4j_soa/applications/orabpel/console directory (i looked into home directory as well but could not found orabpel/console dir).
So question is where to put filter class and how to make changes in web.xml as this file is not present in j2ee/oc4j_soa/applications/orabpel/console/WEB-INF/
I checked deployments in weblogic admin console and seems BPELConsole is deployed as a module under BPELPM ear.
    Any idea?
    Thanks.

  • Granting Read Only Access to user in another schema

    Oracle Database 10g
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3
We are requested by a developer to grant his account read only access to TABLES, VIEWS, INDEXES, SEQUENCES, FUNCTIONS, PROCEDURES, PACKAGES, TRIGGERS, JOBS of another schema.
I know granting read only access to Tables and Views. But is it possible to grant READ ONLY access to other mentioned objects ? How to do it ?
And some views are in INVALID status.
    I tried to compile them using alter view owner.viewname compile;
But got this ---- Warning: View altered with compilation errors.
Those views are still in INVALID status. And then I tried to use utlrp.sql . Same result.
    Then I used the following
    SELECT TEXT FROM DBA_VIEWS WHERE VIEW_NAME='view-name';
    select REFERENCED_NAME,REFERENCED_TYPE from dba_dependencies where name='view-name';
It turns out some reference types are non existent.
Does that mean DBAs cannot do anything about this ?

    TABLES -> YES grant SELECT
    VIEWS -> YES grant SELECT
    SEQUENCE -> YES grant SELECT
INDEXES -> There is no read access for indexes...indexes are put on tables and a user who has read access on tables can read the index as well.
FUNCTIONS / PROCEDURES / PACKAGES -> I am not sure what you mean by read access on procedures, functions and packages. You may grant EXECUTE privilege on these.
TRIGGERS -> there is no read access on triggers required. They are implemented on tables for a DML event. If the user has DML access he has the execute access on the trigger as well.
JOBS -> I am not sure what to read from Jobs.
And some views are in INVALID status.
    I tried to compile them using alter view owner.viewname compile;

    select REFERENCED_NAME,REFERENCED_TYPE from dba_dependencies where name='view-name';

Does that mean DBAs cannot do anything about this ?There are compilation errors in the Views. e.g. the view may be referring to a table which doesn't exist etc.
Unless you fix the error in the view you can't compile it and male it valid. Fix the view errors. If objects are non existing create them or refer to view to some where else.
If the nonexistent objects were mistakenly dropped, or the data file which contained those objects was dropped, no matter what was the reason for that object to be gone a DBA can bring it back if he is a well prepared DBA and has setup his database for such kind of disasters.
Now tell us why those objects are non-existent ? were they meant to be gone ? or they were dropped mistakenly?
    Now here are my guesses:
If they were meant to be gone then probably the views definitions need to be adjusted not to refer them anymore.
If they were mistakenly dropped then:
Do you have them in recyclebin? (only tables) if YES just FLASHBACK TABLE <<tablename>> AS BEFORE DROP.
Is your database has Flashback database ON? if YES FLASHBACK DATABASE until 'time/scn just before the object was dropped'
Do you have backups and your database is running in ARCHIVE LOG mode? if YES perform an incomplete recovery using RMAN.

  • Give user Read-Only access to one table in a database.

Does anyone know how to give a user account Read-only access to 1 table within a SQL Server Database using SQL Server Management Studio? I don't want the account to be able to access any other tables in the database, just the one table. I'm not a sql programmer,
so if there is a way to do it in Sql Server Managment Studio settings that would be the best.

Using Management Studio, I assume you already have a login and user for that person. If not,

    2. On the Permissions page, under Users or Roles, click
Search, then Browse, etc, until you find the user. Click
OK until you are back to the Permissions page.
    3. In the Permission for <user>section, find the

  • Read Only Access to Ironprot

Since we have upgraded to ASYNCOS 8.0.1 external users who had read only access to Ironport are now not able to access.
System Admin > External authentication has been enabled with read only group name directory add to row.
AD (windows) the group name has been created and has assigned users.
but when I test LDAP server setting > External authentication queries > Test ----   I receive error "Matching LDAP record no groups found for identity <group name>"
Ive checked backed up config from before upgrade and the current config and I don't have any notable differences.

When specifying the group name for your LDAP group, are you using the distinguished name (DN) rather than just the common name (CN)?
Have you raised the Log Level of the authentication logs to Debug and try the login after?  This will provide us with more troubleshooting data.

  • OAS 10g (10.1.2) - Read only Access Required to oc4j Container Settings

As a load tester I need to be able to access the details of the container settings for our live servers to enable me to mimic this set up on my test kit.
of particular interest are the Server Properties and Data Sources for each container.
I am not permitted a username/login for the live OAS.
The Unix admins looking after this kit tell me it's not possible to grant me read only access.
    Is this the case?
Is there any other way for me to get this information without a live login - can OAS export the details of these settings?
It's very frustrating to have to rely on info handed down from the Unix admins as and when they have the time to give it to me!....
    Any help much appreciated....

The Unix admins looking after this kit tell me it's not possible to grant me read only access.
    Is this the case?
NO, the UNIX Admins are full of it. Here are several (but not all settings)
    400 Owner Readable
    600 Owner Readable and Writeable
700 Owner Readable and Writeable and Execute
740 Owner Readable and Writeable and Execute Plus Group Readable

770 Owner Readable and Writeable and Execute Plus Group Readable and Writeable and Execute
774 Owner Readable and Writeable and Execute Plus Group Readable and Writeable and Execute and Other Readable
776 Owner Readable and Writeable and Execute Plus Group Readable and Writeable and Execute and Other Readable and Writeable
777 Owner Readable and Writeable and Execute Plus Group Readable and Writeable and Execute and Other Readable and Writeable and Execute
Is there any other way for me to get this information without a live login - can OAS export the details of these settings?
Sorry I don't know the answer to this one
And don't tell the Unix admins your handle is "TestCowboy" most of them don't have much of a sense of humor. (But I think its great!)

  • Administration tool read only access

I was wondering if there is a read only access to the administration tool.
What i am trying to do is to test the repository Build with best practices since this repository is live and done by a group of developers -
Since i joined recently and wanted to know what resources i need to get to view and test the repository.
I was wondering if there is a read only access to admin tool , not sure about this and also do i need oracle BI installed on my local machine to view the repository.
If not ,is there a way where i can get to see the repository without having the priviledges to do any modification or save changes to the repositoryin online or offline mode

    Hi,
If you want to switch your RPD read only mode to online/Offline mode
try to re start your bi server and then try to access it RPD (online/offline mode)
Setting rpd in read only mode:
users wants to access the RPD in online mode then do below setting in NQSConfig.ini but this will refrain u developers as well to do any change in online mode...
    Refer Section: READ_ONLY_MODE
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12096_01/books/AnyInConfig/AnyInConfigNQSConfigFileRef11.html
otherwise you can give it copy of RPD(he can access it via offline mode)
    if your using obiee11g,
Read-Only issues on a new install of OBIEE 11g:(always opens it in Read-Only mode)
Login to Oracle Enterprise Manager Goto -> Business Intelligence -> coreapplication
Click - Capicity Managment Tab in Right side -> Performance -> Check Disable Disallow Online RPD Updates
    Thanks

  • Is there a way around the build-in FTP as read-only access

"With read-only access, you can copy files from the server, but to copy files to the server you may need another FTP app. Choose Apple menu > App Store to find FTP apps available for OS X."
Is there a way to get around this? Can i get the build-in FTP to allow for uploading files as well? Terminal “hack” or something?

    >> Can i get the build-in FTP to allow for uploading files as well? Terminal “hack” or something?
Not with a Terminal hack, no; and it's nothing to do with being a guest user.
Consider EtreNet which costs $10, but appears to do what you want.

  • Implement strategy for ASA on TACACS w/ restricted read-only access

An ASA5550 will need to be configured to use TACACS AAA. Currently, the ASA is setup for local authentication. A couple of privilege 15 admin users and a few more privilege 5 read-only users.
    ASA 5550
    running ASA 8.2(2)
    using ASDM 6.3(5)
    authenticating to ACS 4.2
The admin users and read-only users already have established TACACS usernames and are in established TACACS user groups for logging into routers/switches.
What's the best way to implement configuration of the ASA and ACS server to maintain the same type of restrictions that's applied using the local database?
    1. Try and avoid the creation of a second TACACS username for the admin and read-only users.
    2. ACS allows restrictions on what devices can be access by users/groups. Possible to do reverse? Restrict what usernames can access a device in the ACS database.

If you want to configure ASA for read-only access via tacacs then you have to do the following task
    ASA/PIX/FWSM Configuration
In addition to your preset configuration, these commands are required on ASA/PIX/FWSM in order to implement command authorization through an ACS server:
        aaa-server authserver protocol tacacs+
        aaa-server authserver host 10.1.1.1
        aaa authorization command authserver
On the ACS, you need to create command authorization set for only SHOW commands:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2086/products_configuration_example09186a00808d9138.shtml#scenario2
Associate command authorization set with user or group

  • Read Only Access to Storage Container

Is it possible to give Read Only access to a particular storage container without adding someone to Subscription and providing them the access key without anonymous request without going through SAS route

By default, a container and any blobs within it may be accessed only by the owner of the storage account. If you want to give anonymous users read permissions to a container and its blobs, you can set the container permissions to allow public access. Anonymous
users can read blobs within a publicly accessible container without authenticating the request.
