Read PI table during mapping

Hi All
I have requirement where i need to read custom table created in SAP PI ABAP stack during the mapping.
Can you please tell me how to do it?
Thanks for your inputs.
Cheers
AN

Amol,
One more simple way is create mapping of type xslt transformation ( xslt on abap) tc :xslt_tool and then you can write simple select abap statement ( Since table exist on PI system itself) no need to call any RFC or Java connection and no need to specify any server details too.
Hope this will help.
Let me know if you need more details.
Thanks,
Nilesh

  • MDM API to read the Record Key Mapping table

    Hi,
    Does anybody know what class/method I can use to read the Record Key Mapping table?
    For the Business Partner table the Key Mapping table has this columns:
    <u>Default / MDM Partner ID / Remote System / Key</u>
    I have everything but the Key. How can I read it?
    Thanks in advance,
    Diego.

    GetKey Mapping is one of the available Web Services as of SP4.
    Else you could use the Java API to get the Key Mapping.
    <b>CatalogData class</b> has the following method
    <b>GetKeyMapping</b>
    public java.lang.String[][] GetKeyMapping(java.lang.String agency,
                                              java.lang.String table,
                                              int[] recordIDs,
                                              boolean isDefaultKeyOnly)
                                       throws StringExceptionRetrieves the key mapping for each record.
    Parameters:
    agency - the agency name.
    table - the table name.
    recordIDs - the list of records.
    isDefaultKeyOnly - True to retrieve only the default value, False to all key values.
    Returns: the key values for each record.

  • Lookup into R/3 table during Message Mapping

    Hi all,
    I have a field in my source message that I need to convert. The corresponding values are stored in an R/3 table. I could use a 2:1 mapping in a BPM to merge an RFC call reading the table with my mapping, but I was told that this can be done without using BPM.
    Can anyone describe me this ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Julien

    Hi Julien,
    Starting SP13 you can perform RFC lookups within your mapping using standard RFC API.

  • Read data from STATIC internal table during round trip in DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT

    Dear Gurus
    I have a requirement where I need to select some data from the database table BUT_HIER_NODE_D.
    After SELECTING this data to an internal table (say ITAB), I am displaying this data in a table view. I was able to achive this functionality by putting some code in the DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT method.
    Now according to my requirement, after the above data has been displayed on the screen initially, the user will click on any row. After clicking on a particular row, I need to capture the document number on that particular row and need to display all its child document numbers in a separate table. I am able to achive this functionality also.
    Initially I am not sure of how to READ the same internal table (ITAB) again and again by avoiding the SELECT query upon each round trip (between CRM and Web).
    After some research, I understand that I might have to use STATIC internal table to store the data during the
    initial SELECT. This way, upon each round trip, I can READ the data from the same internal table.
    My question: But now, when I tried to create a STATIC internal table in DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT, it is not allowing me to declare this table because DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT method is a INSTANCE method.
    I didn't find any STATIC methods in the IMPL class of the view.
    I would really appreciate if somebody can help me on how to proceed further.
    Thanks
    Raj

    Hi Bharathy / Adil / Masood
    Thank you very much for the replies. I declared a static method inside the IMPL class and I was calling this method inside the DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT method. Looks like it is working fine for me...will comeback if I had any further issues.
    Masood
    As per my requirement, I need to Select the data into the internal table during the very first step, then I need to continuosly read the data from this internal table upon every round trip. So I am not sure if I would be able to use the method DO_INIT_CONTEXT. Because I need a method which will trigger upon each round trip and will also hold the data of this internal table. So right now, the only option for me is DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT method.
    Plz let me know if am doing in the right way.
    Thanks
    Raj

  • Unexpected error during mapping execution

    Hello,
    we are implementing business intelligence for Siebel 8.1. Having one strange issue and hoping anybody could help us out.
    We are using OWB 10.2.0.1. Certain error appears during mapping execution LOAD_SR which basically loads service requests from Siebel DB to data warehouse.
    The mapping is using two tables as input (S_SRV_REQ and S_SRV_REQ_X) which are joined by S_SRV_REQ.ROW_ID = S_SRV_REQ_X.PAR_ROW_ID (+) using Joiner operator, because I always need extension table (S_SRV_REQ_X) rows either filled either containing only nulls (when there is no corresponding extension row). Sadly, this does not work, during execution it generates:
    Error:
    ORA-00997: illegal use of LONG datatype
    ORA-06512: at "DWH_ADM.LOAD_SR", line 32
    ORA-06512: at "DWH_ADM.LOAD_SR", line 3507
    ORA-06512: at "DWH_ADM.LOAD_SR", line 4553
    ORA-06512: at "DWH_ADM.LOAD_SR", line 9984
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    Warning:
    ORA-00997: illegal use of LONG datatype
    In summary, these join conditions generate same error as above:
    S_SRV_REQ.ROW_ID = S_SRV_REQ_X.PAR_ROW_ID (+)
    S_SRV_REQ.ROW_ID (+) = S_SRV_REQ_X.PAR_ROW_ID (+)
    S_SRV_REQ.ROW_ID = S_SRV_REQ_X.PAR_ROW_ID
    Strangely, when I use join condition S_SRV_REQ.ROW_ID (+) = S_SRV_REQ_X.PAR_ROW_ID, it works. But then right join is used and some records get rejected by joiner operation (those who do not have corresponding rows in extension table).
    Could someone help me with this issue?
    Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time reading this!

  • VLD-1141: Internal error during mapping generation.

    I am getting the "VLD-1141: Internal error during mapping generation" error when deploying a mapping. This mapping was previously working fine. As part of a re-factoring effort, for all the underlying tables and views, we replace 2 existing columns with a new column. All the objects were successfully re-imported and synchronized in the mapping. The mapping is using Mapping Input Parameter, Lookups, Expression Transformations, Splitter, Set Operator, Source & Target Tables. All these transformation were part of the earlier working version of the mapping.
    On doing validation within the mapping, I get a success message followed by 4 warning for the Lookup Condition on key Lookup does not contain a complete unique key. Before the re-factoring effort, I was getting the same 4 warning messages, however the mapping was executing correctly.
    When I do Generate within the mapping, I get the following message:
    Code cannot be generated.
    Click the message tab for details.
    In the Design Center, when I do a validation on the mapping I get the following error:

    Hi,
    I think your mapping is corrupted by converting two columns to one. The owb has always a problem if you change the structure of a table which is bound to a table operator. The way to avoid this is to drop the table operator after changing the table in the table editor and recreate it with the changed table definition.
    Make a test: select the new attribut in the table operator and look left on the configuration window. To which table and attribute it's bound?

    Hi Homiar,
    Need a little more detail.
    The directory points to the interface mapping.
    The Interface mapping points to the message mapping.
    What type of message mapping are you using?
    - Graphical mapping.
    - XSLT.
    - Java.
    - Abap.
    The main problem is "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException"
    Do other mappings work in your system?

  • Extract fields from the SOAP body during mapping

    Hi all,
    I have an Abap Proxy to SOAP scenario with a main payload and an attachment. During mapping I need the reference of the attachment to store the reference in the main payload. I don't need the attachment itself.

    I need the attachment reference as string inside my main payload: cid:payload-EE42FF47D930DE5CE1000000C107826A @sap.com
    I wrote an user defined function to select the MessageId, but the MessageId is only part of the reference to the main payload.
    String constant;
    java.util.Map map;
    map = container.getTransformationParameters();
    constant = (String) map.get(StreamTransformationConstants.MESSAGE_ID);

    Has anybody an idea to get the reference of the attachment from the SOAP body with an user defined function or an adapter module?
    Thanks and kind regards

    Hello,
    thank you all for the information. I found a solution for my problem on the sender side. I wrote an own helper class with  the method create_attach_from_txt_withref. This method  build an attachment with an own reference and write the reference back to the payload.
    This reference will not be changed within the execute_asynchronous method of the proxy.
    Method parameters:
    P_DATA        Importing   Type     STRING
    P_TYPE        Importing   Type     STRING
    P_NAME        Importing   Type     STRING
    P_ATTACHMENT  Exporting   Type Ref IF_AI_ATTACHMENT
    P_AREF        Exporting   Type     STRING
    Method coding:
    METHOD create_attach_from_txt_withref.
      DATA: lo_attachment TYPE REF TO cl_ai_attachment,
            l_payload     TYPE REF TO if_xms_payload,
            l_pref        TYPE        sxms_mf_s,
            l_guid        TYPE        guid_32,
            l_aref        TYPE        string.
      CLASS cl_ai_factory DEFINITION LOAD.
    " create the attachment
      p_attachment = cl_ai_factory=>create_attachment_from_text(
                    p_data = p_data             " attachment data
                    p_type = p_type             " attachment type
                    p_name = p_name ).          " attachment name
    " we need an implementing class of the interface if_ai_attachment
      lo_attachment ?= p_attachment.
    " get the new payload
      l_payload = lo_attachment->get_payload( ).
    " get the reference of the payload
      l_pref = l_payload->getreference( ).
    " build an own reference
      CALL FUNCTION 'GUID_CREATE'
        IMPORTING
          ev_guid_32 = l_guid.
      CONCATENATE 'payload-' l_guid '@sap.com' INTO l_aref.
      CONCATENATE 'cid:'     l_aref            INTO l_pref-href.
    " set our own reference
      l_payload->setreference( reference = l_pref ).
    " write back the modified payload
      lo_attachment->set_payload( p_payload = l_payload ).
    " return of the reference
      p_aref = l_aref.
    ENDMETHOD.
    If anybody has an idea how to read the soap body within an adapter module please let me know.

  • Reading Message Header and mapping

    Hi,
    If a userId is coming in the message header of the source message and I want to map it with one of the fields in the destination structure then How can it be done ?

    my understanding is your sender is a proxy (ABAP???).
    There is a user id as part of the message header and you want to access it during mapping.
    Dynamic configuration will not help in this case for a proxy sender. hence the best way is to have that user id stored as a field in the proxy structure itself so that it will be easily used for your mapping. This is the simplest solution.

  • How to Access Table Space Map in Oracle 10g OEM

    How and from where to Access Table Space Map in Oracle 10g OEM ??
    Thanks

    Hi,
    first of all, the online help system of grid control is outstanding. Just click on Help in the upper right corner and enter "Tablespace Extent Map" in the search form.
    Result:
    Show Tablespace Contents Page
    Each Oracle database is divided into one or more logical units called tablespaces. You can use Oracle Enterprise Manager to manage these tablespaces and create or modify the parameters for the tablespaces. Use the Tablespace property sheet to set general and storage information for the specified tablespace.
    Use the Show Tablespace Contents page to display the list of tablespace segments that comprise the existing tablespace. You can display Tablespace Extents by choosing Show Tablespace Extent Map at the bottom of the page. An extent is a logical unit of database storage space allocation made up of a number of contiguous data blocks. One or more extents in turn make up a segment. When the existing space in a segment is completely used, Oracle allocates a new extent for the segment.
    You can view segment extents by clicking on the link in the Extents column to display the Extents in Segments page.
    You can display the Show Tablespace Contents page by choosing Show Tablespace Contents from the command drop down list on the Tablespace property page, the Tablespace View page, or the Tablespace search results page.
    Note: Developers could only display the tablespace map to a maximum hard coded number of 30,000 extents. Tablespaces are often larger than that. If a tablespace is larger than 30,000 extents, the portion over that is displayed as Unmapped. To avoid exceeding the memory capacity of the tablespace map and to display the map without unmapped extents, use a search criteria displaying results of less than 30K extents.
    For an overview of tablespaces, see the "Overview of Tablespaces " chapter of the Oracle Database Concepts Guide.
    For more information about managing tablespaces, see the " Managing Tablespaces" chapter of the Oracle Database Administrators Guide.
    For more information about managing datafiles, see the " Managing Datafiles and Tempfiles" chapter of the Oracle Database Administrator's Guide.

    Hi,
    Only the released/canceled changes with the Affected Items could be listed in the Item's 'Change History' table. You cannot force any data write to Change History directly.

  • Sequential Read on table BSAD

    Hello All
    Our custom program job when observed thru SM51 is spending over 4 hours at a single point showing SEQUENTIAL READ on table BSAD. DB2 provided us with the queries that were executed during runtime trying to fetch data from table BSAD
    SELECT * FROM BSAD
    WHERE XBLNR EQ <value>
    AND BUKRS EQ <value>
    AND KUNNR IN L_KUNNR [] (which has around 400 KUNNR values)
    SELECT bukrs belnr xblnr blart zuonr kidno
    FROM bsad
    UP TO 1 ROWS
    INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF <name>
    WHERE kunnr IN L_kunnr[] ((which has more than 400 KUNNR values)
    AND ( zuonr EQ <value> OR kidno EQ <value> ).
    We have indexes for both combinations specified above - still during the execution of the program the above query is being observed to clock for over 5 hours. This program had not been giving issues all along - and we are seeing issues lately. DB2 team mentions that IN statement is expensive. When DB2 observes during run-time - they see a lot of values been used in L_KUNNR[] range. The table re-org or index re-build has not been done for a while too. We are trying to interpret the possibilities

    THanks for your inputs John
    Whenever we tried putting a trace- we do it during the execution of the statement - and only for a few times we have been able to capture trace - sometimes Basis team says that they did not capture any. In the traces that we have i was able to see at the statement being executed for 10 mins or so - which may not make sense if the program is stuck for hours.
    Also in the trace - i believe you are asking if we are able to deduce if it would use index based on the values provided?\or is there a field / param in the trace that provides this info? Please clarify
    Also when i tried having around 400 values in the IN statement and tried executing the query in non-prod - it took atleast 600 secs (since thats the max time i could keep it active as Dialog process in non-prod). Also do you think the above SELECT statement warrants a change?

  • Table source, mapped column, result list

    Hi!
    I need to show in result list some field from my table (orderNo).
    Each row in table is an order item, with content column (orderInfo) which I intrested to indexing.
    But when I map orderNo column (I forced to map because without it I can't operate with orderNo in XSLT search result) to search attribute in table column mapping this column became searchable and this is bad for me because of search colision...
    So my question is - howto show column in result list, but avoid this column to be searchable ?
    Thanks!

    This is the default behavior. All columns indexed, including the CONTENT column, are included in a FT search. The CONTENT column becomes the cache link.
    If you are using a custom UI, you could build your custom search using Filters and custom search attributes. Since you are using the out-of-the-box search, the only thing I can think of is to use the Attribute Selection, select ONLY the attribute(s) you want to search, and then execute your search.
    If you do not want to force the user to use a look-up, you can use the FT short cut search attribute syntax of "SEARCH_ATTRIBUTE_NAME:VALUE"... so if your attribute name/column name is "orderNo" your search syntax would be "orderNo:12345" where 12345 is the order number you are looking for. This will save users from having to open the dialog.
    FYI - You might be able to default "orderNo:" in the search box by tweaking the URL.
    Hope this helps.
