Read Tables from ECC without BAPI

Hi All,
I have a requirement that I want to read the table in ECC from CRM without making use of BAPI FM's. Is it possible?

Hi Srinivas,
Sounds Crazy a bit, but you can use RFC_READ_TABLE FM to meet the requirement.
Options: you give the WHERE conditions
Fields: you give the selectable fields
Rest all parameters are self explanatory in that.

Labview 2013 are closing when I try read table from database.
I don't get error message, Labview just crashes. I'm use Labview x32 and Database Connectivity Toolkit connective on Windows 7 x64. I connect to PostgreSQL with ODBC driver, connection is stable.
In my database I have many tables, I can read all them without one.
When I try read bad table I get data and then labview crash. When I restart Labview I don't have any message about error.
Also I try use LabSQL-1.1a. But it has same result.

Try connecting using UDL file. What operation you are doing with database
You can create the same.. Do this Tools --> Create Data link..
Then go to http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371525a.pdf link and see page 3-5. It will help

Can BPm pick up existing process from ECC without human intervention

Hi
Is there any way BPM can read/pick the existing process from ECC system (may be solution manager workflow) and model the same.
Just trying to make sure from experts that it is not possible before replying client.

Yes, we wanted to know if the process/workflow mainateined in ECC or solution manager can be dyna,mically picked up by BPM.
And your solution - "Currently BPM can talk to any other system through web services.If you can expose any functionality as web service in solution manager, you can call that from BPM"
how to implement this from solution manger?
All we know was to expose the BAPI/RFC's functionalities as web services from ECC and consume in BPM tasks or directly call these BApis in to BPM tasks.
Could you please share with us.

Hi,
There's a remote-enabled function module (think it's either RFC_READ_TABLE or RFC_TABLE_READ) which you can pass a table name, some selection criteria and a list of fields to be returned. That should allow you to read those table entries from the remote system.

Replication Z-Tables from ECC to CRM

We have a client with some Z-Tables in ECC and we need to replicate this tables in CRM, anybody have any information about this.

1. Create the Ztables both in ECC and CRM
2. create customizing adapter objects in R3AC3.

4. create a variant and shedule the based on requirement

How to replicate a customized condition table from ECC to CRM

Dear All,
We have created a new condition table in ECC, using a new set of key fields to define sales district specific product price. This table is in ECC only and we would like to replicate it to CRM. Could you please let me know how we can do that? What replication object should we use?

Hi,
Use DNL_CUST_CNDALL, this would create the database table in CRM. Also you might need to run other loads corresponding to your scenario like DNL_CUST_CND_PR, DNL_CUST_PRC etc

Read tables from different schemas in oracle

Hi, I'm trying to write a code to run a query to get data from an Oracle server, the problem is that the query refers to multiple tables in multiple schemas... the regular way to do it in oracle (SCHEMANAME.TABLENAME) does not work in excel vba query and

1) Posting the error number (i.e. ORA-00942) in addition to the error message is often quite helpful since that's generally far easier to look up and far less likely to get confused in translation.
2) Are you using an invoker's rights stored procedure? Or a definer's rights stored procedure? If you're not sure, the default is definer's rights.
3) How has YFS been granted access to the Y_PS table? My hunch is that it was granted access via a role, not via a direct grant. Privileges granted through a role would be available for ad hoc SQL queries, but those privileges are not available to a definer's rights stored procedure. A definer's rights stored procedure only has access to the privileges granted directly to the owner.
If my hunch is correct, you'd either have to directly grant YFS access to the table(s) it needs to access in other schemas or you'd need to make the stored procedure use invoker's rights, which may have ripple effects down the line if users other than YFS are going to be running the procedure.

I knew a little about linearization and but the idea was to help quick loading the very first page of a document while the rest of the data still is arriving. Not exactly what I needed here.

Error while Reading Idocs from ECC 6.0 to Sun IDM .

Hi Gurus,
We have a scenerio where we have to update the Sun IDM Server with all the changes in HR Data happening in ECC.
For that... we have
1. Created a Logical System for Sun IDM server, Port, RFC Connection (TCP/IP).
2. Assigned Partner Profiles, Distribution Model etc. for msg. type HRMD_A ;
3. We have created a Communications User used by the IDM server to connect to ECC.
Idocs are created daily and are in status 03 - Data passed to Port OK !
and on the In Sun Identity manager 8.0 we have created SAP resource adapter for ECC 6.0,
after giving resource parameters our test connection is successful.
We also changed edit synchronisation policy for the same but when we start synchronisation in IDM, it is unable to read any idocs although Idocs are generated in SAP .
Log file gives the message as "Incoming IDoc list request containing 0 documents"
We also have one more error ;
some times while doing a connection test : JCO.Server could not find server function 'åäåä¹'
while most of the times the connection is successful.
Please suggest .

The error got resolved .
The changes in the settings i did :
SAP SIDE : Made the RFC Connection Unicode.
IDM SIDE : Checked on the "SAP Server Unicode" checkbox; while doing the HR Activ Synch Settings.
This Resolved the error.

Read key from console without blocking?

I have a console application (a server) that needs to run in a loop till the user stops it (currently with Ctrl-C (ugh!)).
How can I check to see if a key has been pressed (Enter is fine), and if not, just continue? I don't want to wait for a keypress, as System.in.read() does.
The only thing I can think of is to put System.in.read() inside another Thread.
There must be a standard way to solve this problem.
Any suggestions?

How to read an APO table from excel in place using Visual Basic ?

We have enhanced some APO reports using layouts that use excel in place with custom visual basic (VB) code. For example, the VB code can append the data with additional columns that perform specific calculations and then proceed to create pivot table reports in excel..That is working fine.
The challenge is to see if that VB code could read specific APO tables (e.g. product master tables) to bring additional elements into excel and thus expand the report content. We know that additional fields can be added to the reports, but having the flexibility to read tables from VB could be more flexible.
Can that be done?. If so, would it be possible using exclusively the VB code attached to the layout, i.e. no ABAP?

I am assuming you are doing this either using BeX analyzer or by reading the planning book using the RFC ActiveX component and a BAPI.
I think it's possible to retrieve the data from the product master table. Here are my thoughts on how can this be done:
1) You can create a generic datasource (transaction RSO2) for the product master table, connect that to a BW remotecube and use a BeX query to retrieve that values. You can then join the queries using VBA. Alternatively, you can build a muti-provider that connects your current InfoCube to the new RemoteCube and build a query from there. The multi-provider, in this case, joins the data (no more VBA).
2) If you have already loaded your product master data into master data carrying InfoObjects then you can try the same technique as #1 but this time there is no need to create the generic datasource. You can use the InfoObjects for your master data as the InfoProviders for your query.
3) You can try the ActiveX component from SAP which can connect to any emote enabled function in SAP system. SAP already provided some BAPIs (check transaction BAPI for a list) which might be able to provide the data. You can also create your own function modules (be sure to make it remote enabled) using ABAP. (transaction SE37).

It reads only one record...Either by index or key.

Accessing CPS tables from R/3

Hi All.
I am from abap background. My requirement is to get the chain of jobs submitted via CPS, and in certain conditions, I have to trigger that chain from R/3.
Before CPS, we had maintained the dependencies in R/3 customizing table. Now CPS has maintained all the dependencies of programs, and I want to read that from CPS without the need for any more table in R/3.
Basically my dependency can be something like mentioned in this thread:
Job Chain - How do I arrange these dependencies?
Is it possible to read the chain from R/3? I could not see the TBT* tables being filled in R/3 side when scheduling chain of jobs in CPS.

Hi,
Without more details on the complexity it is difficult to help you find the best solution. My feeling still is it could be resolved by CPS, even though there is a Java based API in CPS to get all that data (see the "development guide" in the online documentation, if you have the full version).
The reason jobs are only visible in SAP when they are executed, not before, is for that functionality that might actually help you out: you can choose the variant and even the selection criteria in the variant from CPS at runtime, so the job can only be created at runtime because then all information is known.
You can automatically run jobs with different variants depending on the day of the week, the outcome of earlier jobs, etc. etc. and you can change the variants from CPS too.
It could very well be easier to create what you need in CPS directly.
