Reading Arguments by calling customRunActivity - URGENT

Question

I am invoking interactive activity from external PAPI client.
Arguments arg = Arguments.create();
arg.putArgument("assignedVal", "USER");
arg.putArgument("assignedTo", strAssignedVal);
InstanceInfo[] infos = processServiceSession.getInstancesByView((InstancesView)processServiceSession.getView("Unified_inbox"));               
if(infos.length >0){               
     processServiceSession.customRunActivity(infos[0].getId(), "Interactive", arg);
How can I read the arguments in interactive activity ?
I tried 2 approaches but none did work
1) made a screenflow in interactive1 and mapped incoming arguments of interactive1 with values i m passing.
While reading the values in Screenflow , i m unable to get values.
2) from google found something like this to use
Arguments arg = Arguments.create();
// Get the output arguments
String myOutputStringArgument = (String) arguments.getArgument("MyOutputStringArgument");
String result = (String) arguments.getArgument(Arguments.RESULT);
but in studio 5.7 I dont have handle to Argument class.
Please advice.

Hi,
When you create a new work item instance in your process or run an activity in your process using PAPI you usually send in information via the process or activity's argument variables.
In your example, it looks like you have two argument variables you are sending in ("assignedVal" and "assignedTo"). Once you either create the instance in the process or run the activity in the process, the information you're passing into the process or activity's argument variables are automatically mapped to corresponding instance variables in either the process or in the activity by the Engine.
In your case, look and see how your argument variables in your activity are mapped to instance variables. If for example your assignedVal argument variable was mapped to the instance variable "av" and your assignedTo argument variable was mapped to the instance variable "at", then inside the logic in your activty, you could retrieve the value of the instance variables by adding logic like this:
