    Hello,
    You need to use the OCI driver as the error indicates.
    The thin driver does not have support for the ANYDATA type in 10.2 only the OCI driver does. in 11.1 onwards the thin driver supports the ANYDATA type. So an option may be to use the jar files from an 11g install.
    Thanks

  • Invalid arguments in call for an Application Module

    We are writing a web-app which has two packages in our BC4J project, each with an Application Module. One of these app modules contains business components for objects owned by the user ILOGNET and the other for objects owned by the user EAGLE. We are allowing users to logon and connect to the database as themselves by specifying username and password dynamically as attributes of each instance of both application modules.
    The problem we are having is that for a particular JSP sometimes when we deploy, we get an "invalid arguments in call" error. Other times, it doesn't seem to be a problem. The user I am testing with has Oracle roles that have privileges to view all the necessary objects. I'm just not sure why it seems to be temperamental like this. Does anyone have any ideas ? The code for the problem JSP is shown below.

    Regards,
    Joe Mellors

    I'd forgotten all about this until now when it just happened again. Seems strange that it works fine a lot of the time. It only seems to happen with one of the two Application Module's in the project.
    Here is the call stack. I'd appreciate any help.
    Thanks,
    Joe

  • Java.sql.SQLException: invalid arguments in call

    Hi
    I am getting the following exception
    java.sql.SQLException: invalid arguments in call
    Please send me a soln.
    Thanks in advance

    I had to switch the classes12.jar file that I was using with Tomcat to the one that came packaged with JDeveloper. Thanks for the quick reponse though.

  • Oracle.jms.AQjmsException when inserting large MessageMap message via JMS

    Is there a limit on the number of items/size of message that can be placed on the AQ using the MessageMap message format?
    Ive attempted to place 100 elements, each a small string of approximately 20 characters, into the AQ but I get the following error.
    ---> nested oracle.jms.AQjmsException: JMS-204: An error occurred in the AQ JNI layer
    If I reduce the number of elements to about 70 the message is successfully queued.

    As long as the byte array obtained by serializing the JMSMapMessage
    java object instance fits in a BLOB (max size 4 Gig) you should be able to
    enqueue your message (providing the OS and/or the JVM can handle it).
    Smaller map messages are stored inline in the table itself. Larger messages
    are stored in a BLOB. It is likely that you do not have permissions to
    write to the BLOB field of the OJMS MapMessage ADT.
    To figure out the exact SQL exception turn tracing on by putting the following
    lines of code in your OJMS client and recompiling.
    AQjmsOracleDebug.setDebug(true);
    AQjmsOracleDebug.setTraceLevel(5);
    This will give you the exact SQL exception that is thrown.

  • BLOB error: invalid arguments in call

    I created a table with 3 columns: PICID(Number), Pic(BLOB) and User(Varchar2[20]). I am using SQL Developer to create a new row and put a picture into the Pic column. When I try to save it, I get this:
    One error savings changes to table "PICS":
    Row 1: Invalid argument(s) in call.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Forigve me, I thought that the stuff I wrote before that would've been at least SOME help.
    INSERT INTO "PICS" (PICID, PIC, INITIALS) VALUES ('1', empty_blob(), 'BOB')
    SELECT PIC FROM "PICS" WHERE ROWID='AAATutAAEAAAAMUAAA' AND ORA_ROWSCN='4846781' FOR UPDATE
    Invalid argument(s) in call
    One error saving changes to table PICS":
    Row 1: Invalid argument(s) in call
    This is what SQL Developer comes up with after I click 'Load', browse for an image and put it into the PIC column.
    I'm running 11g. What other information do you need? Thanks for your help, sorry to bother you.

  • Oracle.jms.AQjmsException: ORA-24026 -Problems with OAIHUB904.OAI_HUB_QUEUE

    Hello,
    I have got this error and I need to make a restart to the server to make OAI start to work again.
    Can anyone help me to find what is the problem?
    Thanks,
    António Trindade

    António,
    Sounds likes your Q has errors.
    Try the following...
    1.Stop all services connecting to the Hub database. e.g. Adapters, iStudio, any SQL*Plus sessions, and the Repository Service. Only the Database and Listener should be up.
    2.Use "oaiexport" to create a backup repository. (Make sure this export works before proceeding. You should get a happy "completed successfully" type of message.) Keep the *.dmp file which is created safe!
    3.Run the "hubschema" script (-drop) to drop the Hub User. (This will drop your Hub User, including your metadata - this is why we've taken a backup.).
    4.Run the "hubschema" script (-create) to recreate the Hub User, and objects.
    5. Use "oaiimport" using the *.dmp file created in Step 2. It will then load it your metadata. Again, you should get a happy "completed successfully" message.
    6. Restart your services.
    HTH, Yan

  • JMS-178 Invalid Queue name - (string)

    am getting below error
    nested exception is oracle.jms.AQjmsException: JMS-178: Invalid Queue name - test.JMS_TEST_QUEUE
    When I look deeper into the oracle error message;
    JMS-178 Invalid Queue name - (string)
    Cause: The queue name specified is null or invalid
    Action: Specify a queue name that is not null. The queue name must not be qualified with the schema name. The schema name must be specified as the value of the owner parameter
    For this to work does queue must be owned by aqadm if I'm connecting using that account and the queue CAN'T be in test's schema.
    DOES queue tables and queue should be in default schema ?
    Thanks for all valuable suggetions

    Hello,
    can you show the corresponding JMS code statement you used here?
    Presumably it is a problem concerning missing GRANTs or unqualified (without db schema) access for the JMS user.
    Kind regards,
    WoG

  • Oracle JMS Advanced Queuing

    Problems with Oracle JMS Advanced Queuing
    Hello,
    We have build an application using Advanced Queuing (database version 10.2.0.1.0). Everything works fine using PL/SQL. But when we try to send in messages through the Oracle JMS interface messages with less then 4000 bytes are stored in the queu table but the content of the message is not stored in one of the user data attributes.
    Messages larger then 4000 bytes result in the following error:

         at my.pack.db.impl.ImportDatabaseDAO_JDBC.execute(ImportDatabaseDAO_JDBC.java:68)
    It fails when I'm creating temporaryClob:
    clob = oracle.sql.CLOB.createTemporary(c, true, 1);
    The problem occurs, because my connection driver is:
    com.evermind.sql.OrclCMTConnection and it can't be converted into oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleConnection.
    It is datasource config:
    <data-source location="jdbc/oooDS"
         class="com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource"
         password="iate"
         xa-location="jdbc/xa/oooXADS"
         connection-driver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
         username="ooo"
         url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.168.45.14:1526:ooo"
         inactivity-timeout="30"
         name="oooDS"
         ejb-location="jdbc/oooDS"
         pooled-location="jdbc/oooPoolDS"
         min-connections="3"
         max-connections="200"/>
    Could you advise, how can I convert my Connection class?

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Invalid argument(s) in call: setRowBufferAt

    I have created a custom tag that does inserts. While it works on most every other table that I have dealt with, I keep getting this error for a particular table. I have created another table on an entirely different database, but get the same error.
    Is anyone familiar with this error? I'm running Oracle 8.1.7.0.0
    Thanks in advance,

  • Invalid arguments error while executing oracle procedure

    Dear all,
    we have a table hr_emp with fields ecode, ename, edoj.
    the following procedure we created to return the table data to our .net app.
    CREATE OR REPLACE
    PACKAGE pname AS
    TYPE T_hr_cursor IS REF CURSOR;
    PROCEDURE get_hr_list (P_hrlist OUT T_hr_cursor);
    END HRPACK;
    create or replace PACKAGE BODY pname AS
         PROCEDURE get_hr_list (P_hrlist OUT T_hr_cursor)
         IS
         BEGIN
         OPEN P_hrlist FOR
              SELECT *
                   FROM Hr_Emp WHERE edoj>='01-jan-2009';
         END get_hr_list;
    END;
    these code edited in a single file [both package and package body] and created successfully.
    but, while executing, by typing execute get_hr_list, ORA-00304 error, invalid arguments, is coming. How to resolve this, please help.
    also, in sql developer 1.5.3, when we create this, another error is ciming like 'source doesnot have a runnable target'.
    Where is the issue? please help

    Yes, its great dear...
    sqlplus>
    declare
    hr_cursor hrmain.t_hr_cursor;
    begin
    pname.get_hr_list(hr_cursor);
    end;
    Its worked as i got 'pl/sql procedure successfully executed'.
    Also, then how i can call this get_hr_list procedure from .net? im using c# and i want to get the result of hr_emp to c#. how i can call the same from c#? any help please
