Reading Characteristics of a DMS Document if the one does not exist yet

Hi,
Whenever a document is created with classification from transaction CV01N, an entries is being made into the tables of DB for the entered classification of the document. In this case I can get the characteristic values of document classification from within the BAdI method (for example DOCUMENT_MAIN01~BEFORE_SAVE) by selecting from DB table.
Is there any way for read the document classification from within method DOCUMENT_MAIN01~BEFORE_SAVE before the actual save of document (corresponding entries does not exist in DB table)?

As already mentioned by others, creating tables at run time is just wrong. It's poor design, it's not scalable and it leads to dynamically generated queries which can inherently have bugs that will not be apparent until run-time and sometimes only under certain conditions, thus leaving your code very liable to break and very difficult to debug.
Global Temporary tables are what are generally used for temporary storage of data within a transaction or a session if they suit, but it sounds as if you need the data retention across sessions with truncate option available as required on partial data. That is one of the purposes of partitions on tables... or of course go for the two table and view option if you haven't paid for partitioning in your licence.

    I'm suspecting it to come from a mac user, if that could influence the case...
    It does come from a Mac, as is proven by the fonts, which are of no use on my Windows machine, but that doesn't prevent my CS4 to open it without any problem. It seems to me it's a perfectly regular CS2 file.
    Just for cheers I set the file to Read-only, but my InDesign opens it regardless (again as a copy, because it's a "converted" file).
    Could it be something in your environment? No network read/write privileges, insufficient free hard disk space, stuff like that?

    We recently upgraded a mac mini from Tiger (10.4.11) to Leopard (10.5.X) we updated to the most recent 10.5.
    We have an office with 3 macs and 1 XP.
    All users connect to the Mac Mini via SMB sharing.
    Everyone Authenticates as the same admin user.
    *The XP machine can open and save all file types EXCEPT Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator files.*
    They are using CS3.
    The mac and XP users could open save and share all files prior to the leopard update.
    We used the "Archive and Install" option to upgrade to leopard.
    The shared files had the "unknown Group" error which we solved by adding them to the ADMIN group. This step changed the error message the the XP user was receiving.
    I have tried many networking fixes, including group policy on windows, turning off IPv6 on the Mini, but we cannot open or save files directly from Illustrator.
    When the file
    We can move files to the XP desktop then open and save. Files saved on the XP machine can be moved back to the mini and opened directly by all of the Mac users.
    Any guesses why this might be occurring?

    There are actually two separate error messages received by the windows user when trying to open files off of the Mini.
    "the path does not exist" and "this file cannot be found".
    This happens when we navigate directly to the file with windows explorer.

    I am using Solution Starters Dynamic Management workflow on my Project Server 2010.  I was working fine for a year now, but today all workflows were broken when someone tried to submit them to a next stage. "Workflow terminated. An error has occurred

    I don't have problem with users in any of people picker fields or anywhere else on the site. I am using claims auth.

    It appears that this isn't the problem with users, but it is a problem with Office Tasks. This is the main error in ULS logs (same as in the previous post):
    "Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.  Parameter name: additionalNodes"
    I noticed that all content types are gone from my pwa site. Is it possible that my workflow is causing problems when adding tasks because somebody deleted all content types??

    I am a SD consultant trying to wear other caps as well. Basically, I was trying to do a GR, using MIGO with ref to a PO ( of type NB, the standard one).
    After selecting all the line items ( OK ) by confirming the details populated from the PO, I did a Check and when it said everything is OK I tried to Post the GR.
    Then it says " The Customer does not exist in KNA1". It does not say which one.
    Can any one help me out?.

    Quick bit of background, we have SCCM 2012 R2 installed on a Windows 2012 R2 server. We have the SQL back end off box, configured on a SQL 2012 R2 server running on a Windows Server 2012 R2 cluster. Then there is yet another server which runs the reporting
    services. I've just tried installing the Reporting Services Point on the srs server but it doesn't appear to have worked that well. Here's the info i've got back:

    Paul, nope can't say I've done any configuration of reporting services - the whole thing has been set up by the database team. Having had a trundle through Reporting Services Configuration Manager, it seems the Database team have set up SSRS in line with
    the walkthrough you posted.
    Since i'm not seeing the ConfigMgr_XXX folder appear in SSRS I'm wondering if there's something preventing SCCM from being able to create it. The message

    granted to user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' are insufficient for performing this operation" sounds like the account SCCM is leveraging to perform the install might not have the right permissions in SSRS. Do i need to delegate specific rights to the NT

    As it happens, a connection to the Time Capsule is established usually, anyway. On occasion it doesn't.
    I have a Volume, Data, on the capsule, which similarly, usually mounts, but occassionally doesn't, with access permissions denied.
    Any suggestions on how begin to work out how to achieve networking seamlesness?

    First, restart the Time Capsule by disconnecting the power adapter and reconnecting it. If other devices on the network can see it, you can skip this step.
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
    Click the lock icon in the lower left corner of the window and authenticate to unlock the settings, if necessary. Click the Advanced button, then select the TCP/IP tab in the sheet that drops down. Click Renew DHCP lease.
    Try again to back up.
    If you still can't, open the Time Machine preference pane and delete the TC from the list of backup destinations. You may have to unlock the settings by clicking the lock icon in order to do this. Then add it back.

    Was it properly closed? There may still be a lock file (.idlk) in the folder where it is saved.

    There is one Document which is not on tax return but made a entry in a GL account (VAT).
    When I display document from FB03 for fiscal year 2010 the transaction code FB03 is diverting to FBV3 and giving error message : "Parked document 1000 700010042 2010 does not exist" "Message no. FP076"
    I also checked the tables "BSEG" & "BKPF" where this document is visible to me also I checked the GL line items from FBL3N for the VAT GL where this document is showing in line items report, but when i double clik to display this documents again am getting screen of FBV3 with the same error message.
    can any one let me know what could be the problem? and how to resolve this issue?

    Thanks for the information....
    Addition to the above information ... there are 3 line items are there in this document 1 - K (Vendor), 2 - S (GL).
    The strange thing I can see is against 1st line item (K-Vendor) there is a clearing document updated.
    So if there is a clearing document against vendor line that means this document is no more in parking ...
    I am not sure why system is performing like this...

    I think you misunderstood the solution proposed by frederic, what he is suggesting is that the error doesn't come from your code but from the user account
    have you tried with another account ? (maybe the one you are using to log to your environment)
    With this information, it will help us to know if the problem comes from your code or from the user account

  • VL01N - Message VL200 -The batch does not exist in plant

    I try to create a delivery for a sales order via VA03 by displaying the order, select Sales document and then Delivery from the menu bar. On the Dilvery overview screen, when I enter an invalid Batch number for the item, I receive a warming messge VL 200 (The batch does not exist in plant &) and I can save the delivery. My problem is I want to put a hard stop instead of a warning message so the delivery cannot be saved. Is there any solution for this or it is impossible to put a hard stop. I was thinking of config ... but I am not familiar with this. Please help!

    This is just a guide.  Adapt it to your situation.  I get this kind of error message where in the case, someone has marked for deletion a line item in the purchase order.  In this regard, the IDoc errors out because the line item number being referenced is marked for deletion.
    You can either delete the IDoc or have the deletion flag taken off the line item number in the PO or document number to enable you reprocess the IDoc number in question.
