Reading META-INF contents from an annotation processor

Hello,
I'm trying to read the contents of META-INF with my annotation processor, something akin to:

Bug, or shouldn't annotation processors be reading the contents of META-INF anyhow?

It is a bug for the EJB container to respond with an NPE.
(It's been fixed in v9 Beta, and it might be fixed in an 8.1 service pack but I can't recall off the top of my head). At any rate, I'm pretty sure that an EJB QL query with an empty WHERE clause will cause this. I would look for a query that ends in ' WHERE'.

How can I get the working directory of a project from an Annotation Processor in Java

I am writing an annotation processor in Java and in this annotation processor I want to be able to find a file in the Project hierarchy of the project on which I am using this annotation processor. Through the annotation I can pass in the path of the file I am searching for relative to the project root but i cannot retrieve the project's working directory.
Let's say that the processor is MyCustomProcessor and I am using it on the project MyProject. I want to be able to access(read) a file (a properties file) from the project structure of MyProject from the "process" method of MyCustomProcessor.
I have read this link Eclipse - Annotation processor, get project path but when I use their solution I get a null returned from the StandardJavaFileManager.getLocation(StandardLocation.SOURCE_PATH) call.

How can I specify what are the files will reside inside the META-INF folder while creating a jar file? What are command line options to be passed for jar utility in this regard.

If you want stuff other than the manifest in there, just include it like any other file path. Create a META-INF directory in the tree you are going to jar.

Read Planning Workbook content from ABAP

Hi guys,
This is really a complex query that I bring to the table and might be quite hard to be solved.
I have a table with a lot of values in the planning workbook like workbook name, user and different other stuff.
These need to be brought to BW. Unfortunately, I understood this isn't possible via a query or something else, so I'm looking for ways in which I can:
a) Use the ABAP variable exit coding so that I can read the cells directly from the workbook
b) Use VBA and call sapbex.xla or BexAnalyzer.xla methods so that I can call my own ABAP functions or at least make the values from these cells available in BW.
I require all this info when the user saves the workbook.
Any help would be highly appreciated and don't hesitate to ask for clarifications if you find my description confusing.

why do you need this information in the backend? What happens when you re-open the workbook? Do you need to load it again from the backend to the frontend or do just need to overwrite the information you have stored in the backend?
There are possibililties to create z-function modules (RFC) and to call them from the BExAnalyzer. Did you already check this? Please try searching for "Excel SAP RFC site:help.sap.com" e.g. using google to find more information about this topic.

then using GUI_UPLOAD, i have read file content into internal table. then i am proceeding furthur.
but in real, my file will be in portal (means https:\\in.xyz.com\........\TEST.XML
in this case i can not use GUI_UPLOAD.

Finally you'll have to quickly decide on your front end - jsp or swing. It looks like the former, but then with the code you have posted, the server is apt to pop up some windows prompting the user who has logged on (to the server) to choose the files for the client :)

In optimized code, there is usually no simple relationship between registers and auto variables. For example, an auto variable might be kept in one register for part of a function, and in another register elsewhere in the function -- or not in any register at all, if flow analysis can eliminate the use of the variable.
You can usually tell what is happening around a function call if you are familiar with assembler code for the platform, however. Let's consider your sample code.
On sparc, the instruction after a call or jmp is executed before the call or jmp if it is in the "delay slot". The first function parameter, if it fits in a register, is passed in register %o0. The return value of a function, if it fits in a register, is found in register %o0.
So in your example, register %i7 is passed to function ftell as the first parameter, so it corresponds to myfp. The returned value is in %o0, and is stored in len. It appears that in this section of code, len is in register %i0.

Firstly an external content type designed to work with SharePoint list and there is no way to read apart from this.
If you are looking the solution out of the " Business Connectivity" then find that data source has been exposed through WCF and Web Service ?
So you can use REST API and CSOM to consume those data in SharePoint.
You can also leverage the ADO.NET option if the datasources based on MS technologies.

My Requirement is :
1)I got a requirement to read Bounce back mails in the CRM System .My present scenario is that once a campaign is executed , the mails which get bounce back are returned to outlook location.
2)The required scenario demands that, to read email IDs which get Bounce back and need to be compared with Email Ids in the Target group , which is assigned to the campaign and update the 'COunter' field which is assigned to the E-mails in the Master Data.
3)Is there any machanism to read the BOunce-Back mails in CRM System itself (or) It should be read from outlook location where the mails are returned presently, so that COUNTER which is tied up with the E-mails in Master Data can automatically updated.
4) Is there any possibility to read the Mails in the Outlook location with Mail IDs in the CRM system.
I have gone through Mr Thomas article and i think it works for my requirement but i dont know how to proceed further to read bounce back mails when a campaign is executed in CRM System.
Can any one guide me how to solve this problem .

I actually new about the problems with the jvm version. Still i wanted to ask, cause there are different reports on this `java problems` and even though the 1.4.2_08 seems to be the best version (by the way this version is not to be downloaded any longer *sig*), there are people getting all installed with other versions. I couldn't find any regularity in the misbehavior of the servers while installing.
I finally achieved and got everything working ... but very slow. Loading the adminui or BAM features takes very long time (over one minute). Have you already had this delay. Any hint?

I'm an undergraduate student in software engineering. I worked with EE and tried to built a EJB Application. It worked. But when i connected it to database using persistence it getting error as mentioned.
When i change my source Binary Format to jdk6 it runs without errors. What can i do for this without downgrading jdk version?

I resolved my problem. The issue was the version of EclipseLink that I had specified in my pom.xml. Version 2.0.1 has an issue with the meta-model generation and, in fact, I wanted to be using version 2.1.1. Once I changed to 2.1.1 everything compiled correctly.
Just make certain that you include the correct EclipseLink repository.
