Reading PDF from mail in java WebDynpro

Hello all,
I have a mail in my inbox with a PDF attachment. I am able to view the adobe form in view using the binary array, but what i want is to read the contents to view context elements and then display them to view. How can i do that?
Points waiting for the right ans.
Thanks

Hello shruti,
You have done a great work in SDN Blog and i have followed that.
one more way to solve this problem:
WDInteractiveFormHelper.transferPDFDataIntoContext( byte[] pdfSource, IWDNode targetNode);
use: extracts data from a PDF document and copies the values into the Web Dynpro Context.
Thanks,

  • Since downloading the iOS on my iPad, I cannot download more than one pdf from mail to iBooks.  I have to shut down y iPad and start again.  Any suggestions?

Since downloading iOS on my new iPad, I cannot downlaod more than one pdf from mail into iBooks.  I have to shut down my iPad and restart it to save a second pdf. Wasn't a problem with the old operating system.  Any suggestions?

It seems that I have solved my issue by performing a full factory reset (erasing all content, something which I had hoped to avoid) restoring from an iCloud backup did not alleviate the issue, I had to set up as a new iPad.
Hopefully anyone else else who has this issue in the future will be able to find this.

Transferring your prepaid cellular data account depends on your carrier. AT&T lets you move it yourself when you go to Cellular Data in Settings and log into your account with your previous AT&T user name and password. For iPads with Sprint service, you can set up an account on the new iPad and contact Sprint Customer Care (888-211-4727 and go through the menus) to deactivate the old plan and get credit for unused service. For Verizon, call the company’s customer service number for mobile broadband support (800-786-8419) and ask to have your account transferred.

  • Delivery and read receipts from mail - how do i do it?

delivery and read receipts from mail - how do i do it? i used to do this on pc from outlook..... just new at this stuff... thanks

Hmm, had a bit of a look round but it doesn't look like it's particularly straightforward, esp if you want to turn it on or off on a per mail basis:

  • Why "Outlook Express" users can't read email from Mail.app ?

Why "Outlook Express" users can't read email from Mail.app ? Any explanation ? Select a good format, that's a good explanation, but i can't know each time if our recipients use "Outlook Express".

There are no completely bug free email clients including the Mail.app and Outlook has its share of bugs for such an old/mature email clients and some glaring ones that MS has been aware of for a long time but has chosen not to do anything about since these do not affect exchanging email with other Outlook users.
Outlook has always had problems with Mail's RTF and the degree depending on the Windows and Outlook versions used by the recipient.

  • Can't open PDFs from mail or saved to desktop.

I can't open any pdf file from mail. This is the error message I get..."The application “Adobe Reader” failed to open the attachment “HRA-Reg-SC-2009.pdf”. Would you like to save the file to disk?"
Then it says it "you cannot open this application because it is not supported on this architecture. Can anyone help me? Here I get a new computer and can't open pdfs

Could be an adobe issue. Is it up to date? Within Adobe in the Help menu, try repair adobe installation. In the mean time, right click on any pdf and Get Info. Under open with, change it to preview.

  • Can't read PDFs in Mail in iOS4

Since upgrading to iOS4, I can't open PDFs. They just show up in the email as an image of the first page. Can anyone confirm and/or solve?
    Thanks
    Ben
p.s. I posted this originally in the wrong category. My apologies.

Ok, the following steps, which have been posted elsewhere, worked for me:
    1) Sync with iTunes.
    2) Delete Stanza and Air Sharing from iTunes (both have been reported as causing this problem; I think it could happen with any app that can open PDFs).
    3) Sync again.
    4) Reset iPod by holding down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
Having done the following, I was able to open PDFs in Mail and then select the option to add them to the iBooks library.
I then re-downloaded Air Sharing (I don't ever use Stanza anyway) and everything continued to work.
One note: I had to delete the apps from iTunes, not simply uncheck them as some have reported as working elsewhere.
One odd thing, which is probably related but not a big deal: in the "Open in" dialog for a PDF in Mail, the iBooks logo is now appearing on the Air Sharing button, and I've also seen the Air Sharing logo appearing on the iBooks button.

  • Is it possible to read PDF file data by using Webdynpro Abap?

    Hi,
I have an requirement, where customer will upload an PDF file on an application and i need to read some data from pdf file.
The pdf file contains only text data in tabular format.
In past i developed an application for uploading data from Excelshet by using WDA . But just wondering, whether it is possible to upload the data from Pdf file also. ( Also if not possible then what could be other way to read PDF file data in abap)
    Regards
    PG

NB - the "data" that is returned by these classes is the data as defined in an adobe form - it doesn't return the content of non-form PDF documents.
The PDF must be an interactive form ( although that doesn't restrict you to using the SAP process for creating the form is my understanding - but I could be wrong. )
Edit - I was wrong! ONLY PDF documents that have been created by the ADS can have data extracted using these classes. So unless you are using Adobe interactive forms - then you will get no value from this functionality - and if you're using AIF then you're probably just use the standard UI element

  • Unable to read pdfs from the web on my mac

i've read all the advice about re-installing Adobe Flash (and deleting past versions) and have followed the advice (and restarted my computer) but to no avail.  When I try to open a pdf from a website I only get a black screen.  Any advice?

    Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

What you do is create a xsl with fo (formatting objects), that your transform to a fo and then you render to pdf, awt, ps or whatever you need to render to..
I do 4500 documents (minimum 3 pages each) in 1 hour and a half...
it's one of the best tools i found for PDF rendering from servlets, batchjobs etc...

  • Email PDF from Mail Merge Problem

Using a data source of email addresses from Excel 2003 and performing a mail merge in Word 2003 with the Mail Merge to Adobe PDF button, everything worked okay and the emails generated to the outbox in Outlook 2003 with the relevant PDFs attached.  However, once they were mailed the recipients who use Outlook Express had the attachments missing.  I'm using Acrobat 8.1.5
I've seen previous queries about this and it seems to relate to Outlook using a RTF format.  I set Outlook to default to html and then plain text formats but still had the same problem. Can anyone suggest how I can solve this or if the problem is Outlook related, then another email program that would work without causing this problem (preferable freeware or inexpensive).
    Thanks

Just an interesting after thought, since you mentioned blocking. Several federal agencies and companies block zip files also. I ran onto a message recently about the university blocking zip files at one time because of a problem. Mail merge files are typically personalized and it would be nice for them to go intact. If they re not personalized, but just being sent in general, then posting the basic file and e-mailing a link might work better. For a lot of things I do, I just use the mail merge that is built into my e-mail client. That creates a mail-merge of messages that are personalized.
Just thought the blocking comment might be of interest, though I give the same advice. I am not sure how it could be done with zip in a mail merge sense.

  • How do I open single-page PDFs from Mail?

If I receive an email containing a one-page PDF, Mail shows it as an image. I want to see it as a PDF so I can open it in another app.
    Multiple-page PDFs are fine.
This problem also exists when sending one-page PDF files from the iPad - they arrive as images.

Single page pdf files always appear as already open in the mail app.
I just created a single page PDF and emailed it to myself and this is what I get when I do what I suggebd that you do. This is how you do it. Why it is working for you I cannot explain.
If you haven't done so already, the next thing that I would try is to close the mail app completely and reboot your iPad.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Mail app and then swipe "up" on the app thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Export as pdf from mail fails at times

    Mail Version 8.1 (1993)
I often want to preserve an email as a pdf. Often I am able to. Sometimes I am not. I use the File > Export as PDF dialogue.
It asks me for the destination, pretends to expert it with the various "processing" dialogue items, and then migrates to the PRINT screen. There, when I click the pdf drop down box and select Save as PDF, it asks me where to put it, appears to process it, and concludes
In these circumstances Finder cannot ever find a file by the name I chose anywhere on my machine.
Quitting and restarting Mail and performing the act again makes no difference/

If you are viewing an email with Mail and selecting the
File > Export as PDF  option
The Mail program should ask for the destination but that is that.
The Mail program should not be presenting you with the PRINT screen option.
The only way that might be possible is if you selected Show Details from the Export dialog.

  • Reading files from folder in java

Hi ..I am new to java ..can you help me ..how to read the files from folder(containing 10 java files) and store in a array..
    Thanks

use the java.io package, more specifically java.io.File. You can construct a new File by passing in a String version of the pathname, and then store that into your array.
