Reading steps from axSequenceView

Hi,
I'm using TS2010 with Operator Interface built in C# in Batch Model.
So ,After the all the excutions was done I need to print the last step that failed from each axSequenceView.
Is there a simple way to read the axSequenceView (not using UIMessageEvent)

WHERE BUPLA = LV_BUPLA.
this is giving following error
"J_1yyyyV" is not defined in the ABAP Dictionary as a table,
projection view, or database view.

Hi raj,
maintainance view is a nothing but combinations of table using join on some fields..
see the relation ship between the joins..
if you want to write selection query ..go to se11 -->enter view name >and open tab>
Table/Join conditions--> see the table's involved and join conditons between tables.
and write the select query same as like the Table/Join conditions in se11..now you can acheive the
table maintainance fields..

Select query to read data from a view

Hi friends,
We have been using a query to read data from a custom view which used to work perfectly. Now the program sits at that select query forever. We are able to extract same data from se16. Not sure what could be the problem.

Have a look at the Table Index for the tables involved in the View... I think there is some change in the Indexes.. (Add / Remove / Change)

In the view SrvTHead I intend to develop a PDF file which contains information from the views SrvTProduct, SrvTExtras, SrvTPartner, SrvTText, FoUpText and FollowUpDetails.
From the Cookbook I have learnt that this is possible using custom controllers.
Example:
data: bdc TYPE REF TO cl_crm_ic_cucobdc_impl.
bdc ?= me->get_custom_controller( 'CuCoBDC' ).
current_one_order = bdc->typed_context->currentoneorder.
current_inboxitem = bdc->typed_context->currentinboxitem.
lv_col_wrapper = current_one_order->get_collection_wrapper( ).
lv_current = lv_col_wrapper->get_current( ).
lv_col_wrapper1 = current_inboxitem->get_collection_wrapper( ).
lv_current1 = lv_col_wrapper1->get_current( ).
I am not sure how to proceed after this...
Has anyone implemented this before?

Read data from maintenance view

hi all,
could anyone please tell me if there is any special way to read data from a maintenance view (if at all it is possible).
i wrote a simple select on it but it gave me a syntax error that the view is not defined in the dictionary. (i am able to see the view definition by double clicking and it is active too).
the following is my select.
select single lgnum from v_t320 into (w_lgnum) where werks eq p_i_werks and lgort eq p_i_lgort.

but the documentation on maintenance views says that we can have read access to them. Does that mean the data can only be seen via the DDIC and not from a select written in a program??

Maintenance Status
The maintenance status of a view controls whether data records can also be changed or inserted in the tables contained in the view.
The maintenance status can be defined as follows:
Read only: Data can only be read through the view.
Read, change, delete, insert: Data of the tables contained in the view can be changed, deleted, and inserted through the view.
Only read access is permitted for database views that are defined through several tables. If a database view contains only one single table, data can be inserted in this table through the view (see Inserts Through Database Views).
The following status definitions are also possible for maintenance views:
Read and change: Existing view entries can be changed. However, records cannot be deleted or inserted.
Read and change (time-dependent views): Only entries whose non-time-dependent part of the key is the same as that of existing entries may be inserted.

Can we read the data from maintainance view through select statement.

   Since this view comprises
   more than 1 table
T001K
T001
It gives this error.
2. Maintenacnee views comprising only 1 table
   can be used in Select.
For eg. V_T001
V_T003 = Not allowed
PS:
3. The reason for this is :
   Any R/3 view having only one table,
   for such view, a physical view is created
   in the database.
   The records in it can be modified, inserted,deleted.
   (conditions apply)
   But for view having 2 or more tables,
   no physical view is there in the database.

Read value from a view in the same component

Hi Experts,
I have an issue. As I m new to CRM, I am unable to solve this. I am working on component SRQM_INCIDENT_H.
There are two views in this - IncidentHeader and IncidentOV. IncidentHeader has a context CUSTOMERH in which we have a field (attribute ) zzcomptyp. I need to check this field value to enable / disable a button . The button (followup) is in the view
IncidentOV. So I need to read the field value in the method if_bsp_wd_toolbar_callback~get_buttons. but I dont know how I can read from a different view. Please let me know the syntax.

well...let me know, y im getting error as : V_T52EL is not defined in the ABAP dictionary as Table , Projection view or Database view.
But actually here this View Type is : Maitenance View.

Client-side Memory leak while executing PL/SQL and reading from a view

Iam noticing memory leaks in OCCI while performing the following:
Sample function()
1. Obtain a connection
2. Create a statement to execute a PL/SQL procedure
3 Execute the statement created in step #2
4. Terminate the statement created in step #2
5. Create a statement to read from a view which was populated
by executing stored procedure in step #3
6. Execute the statement created in step #5
7. Terminate the statement created in step #5
8. Release the connection
The PL/SQL populates a view with fixed 65,000 records for every execution. PL/SQL opens a cursor, loads 65000 records and populates the target view and closes the cursor at the end. If i invoke the above function it results in memory leak of 4M for every call. I tried several variants such as:
1. Disabling statement caching
2. Using setSQL instead of newly creating second SQL statement
3. Obtaining two separate connections for these two activities (PL/SQL exec and View read)
4. Breaking the sample function into two, one for each of these activities (PL/SQL exec and View read).
All the combinations results in the same behaviour of 4M memory leak.
Iam using Oracle 10g Client/Server 10.2.0.1.0.
Is there any known limitations in this area?

Yes. Iam closing the result set and terminating the statement.
My program contains layers of inhouse wrapper classes, which will take some time for
me to present it in pure OCCI calls, to be posted here for your understanding.
After some more debugging, i found that if the connection level statement caching is set to
0, the memory leak is much lower than before.

View Object to read data from a java file

Hi,
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 and ADF-BC in my application.
For one of my view objects , I want the data to be read from a java file which exposes some method to return a collection.
I cannot use a static view object in this case.
Please suggest the best way to implement this requirement.Basically build a view object that should read data from a java file.

Depending on your use case you can either use a programmatic VO or directly expose the JV class as a data control.

Reading items from a list view in SharePoint 2013

I am trying to read items from a Calendar, and have created a view that contains all the items/events that I would like to retrieve to package in a CSV file, specifically the Title, Description, and the Start and End Dates.
The problem with some events is that they are recurring, and rather than use CAML to expand the events and try to query it that way, I thought it would be more elegant to just get the events from the view, and package them with a simpler query.
The problem I am running in to is that I can reference the entire list and package the data, or I can reference the list and get all the data in a specific date range, which does not include the recurring events, but I cannot simply read the data from the
view.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Also, can you recommend any complete-ish texts on PowerShell with SharePoint?

Based on my understanding, as there is no straight way of using CAML to query all the events(specially for instances of recurring events) by a list view, I would suggest
you separately query the instances of recurring events needed.

You can't use OPEN SQl statements to fetch data from maintenance view
You have to use only Database views
see the different types of views and the difference
The followings are different types of views:
- Database View (SE11)
Database views are implement an inner join, that is, only records of the primary table (selected via the join operation) for which the corresponding records of the secondary tables also exist are fetched. Inconsistencies between primary and secondary table could, therefore, lead to a reduced selection set.
In database views, the join conditions can be formulated using equality relationships between any base fields. In the other types of view, they must be taken from existing foreign keys. That is, tables can only be collected in a maintenance or help view if they are linked to one another via foreign keys.
- Help View ( SE54)
Help views are used to output additional information when the online help system is called.
When the F4 button is pressed for a screen field, a check is first made on whether a matchcode is defined for this field. If this is not the case, the help view is displayed in which the check table of the field is the primary table. Thus, for each table no more than one help view can be created, that is, a table can only be primary table in at most one help view.
- Projection View
Projection views are used to suppress or mask certain fields in a table (projection), thus minimizing the number of interfaces. This means that only the data that is actually required is exchanged when the database is accessed.
A projection view can draw upon only one table. Selection conditions cannot be specified for projection views.
- Maintenance View ( SE54 )
Maintenance views enable a business-oriented approach to looking at data, while at the same time, making it possible to maintain the data involved. Data from several tables can be summarized in a maintenance view and maintained collectively via this view. That is, the data is entered via the view and then distributed to the underlying tables by the system.

But when activating this message is show:
'V_T053" is not defined in the ABAP Dictionary as a table, projection view, or database view.

which view you are accessing in the program? you can able to access only database view and projection view from prgram.
the view which you are using in the program is niether database view nor projection view. that is why you are getting that error message ''V_T053" is not defined in the ABAP Dictionary as a table, projection view, or database view".
