  • How to create tab pages in Human task Using Wizard

    hi,
how to create tab pages in Human task Using Wizard.i need to display the personal details and the offical details in the same page with different tabs for each.it is possible to do lika this.if yes,how can we do this.
    Regards

    Stuart,
Within a SAP Portal Tabs are not used like you want them to
By default Tabs are used inside an iView and not to "tab" between iViews on a page...
The most straightforward solution would be creating a custom PageLayout that you can assign to your page.
I would sugest to implement this custom PageLayout with DIV layers and trigger "tabbing" via JavaScript eventing.
For more infor on how to create a custom PageLayout take a look at here:

  • Initiate a human task within worklist application

I got some questions regarding human task and worklist app
    1. Is it possible to initiate a human task within worklist application? For example: jcooper initiate a request for expense straight from his worklist app
    2. I see in jazn configuration. There is a bpm worklist view history role. Where do I access to history of all tasks already ended.
    3. If a task is ended is it possible to bring it back alive?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
Check out the Java API that Oracle provides for the Worklist Application. It allows all sorts of customizations / task interactions. A good starting point is the BPEL Developer's Guide.

  • Human Task – Using expressions in task parameters

    Hi All,
In my BPEL process I have a Human Task with about 15 task parameters. I'm trying to define BPEL variables to each and every parameter. I am able to select a type 'variable' variable (ie. /ns18:OutputParameters/ns18:street_name) from tree view and save.
However, whenever I click on the little flash-light icon and create a type 'expression' using the XPath expression builder I'm having problems saving the change.
In details this is what happens,
0.) Double click on Human Task
1.) Click on flash-light icon in front of a parameter.
    2.) Select Type expression variable.
    3.) Click XPath expression builder.
4.) Select conversion function 'string()' and double click to add.
5.) Double click on the required BPEL variable to add.
6.) Something similar to the following expression is created,
    string(bpws:getVariableData('InvokeGetAllABCInformation_FetchABCInformationService_OutputVariable','OutputParameters','/ns18:OutputParameters/ns18:ACC_ID'))
7.) Click OK twice and then Apply/OK to go back to BPEL diagram view.
8.) Now at this point the BPEL is not saved and the tab-title is italic to show it’s unsaved.
9.) Save the BPEL to disk.
10.) Double click on the Human Task to show parameters and variables defined.
11.) The previously defined expression type variable is still there.
12.) However now if I click either 'Apply' of 'OK' buttons without making any changes the BPEL diagram tab-title becomes italic and when the BPEL is saved to the disk, it forgets about all the expression type variables that was previously defined. Also note that cancelling wouldn't change anything.
This is a serious issue as I can't change any setting to a Human Task parameter list, as every time I make a change, I loose all the expression type variable declarations.
Could this be a bug in JDeveloper?
My JDeveloper Studio Edition Version is: 10.1.3.3.0.4157
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Shaminda.

ok, looks like no one knows what's going on,
Here's the workaround that I came up with, If anyone is interested.
Create a custom XSD (schema) with required variables in it (to be used by expression types vars), and use a copy operation before the human task and create the expression types in there. Then use the schema to map the values to the human task.

  • Reassigning of task using API in OIM11g

    HI Folks,
Can someone help me how to reassign task using API in OIM 11g?
The request is created and assigned the task to xelsysadm by default.
I want the task be reassigned to approvers group by retrieving all the pending task of xelsysadm.
The issue here is tcRequestOperations is no longers works in 11g.
I checked the RequestService API , it doesnt have a method of reassigning task.
Are there any ways aside from using API?
Hope you guys can help me here.
    thanks,

You'll have to use SOA APIs for the same.

  • Reassign a task using API

    Hello,
I'm trying to make a custom ADF worklist application for BPEL 10.1.3.3.
I have to add a reassignment feature.
I've seen the reassignTask(IWorkflowContext context, Task task, java.util.List taskAssignees) of the ITaskService interface. But I cannot create the taskAssignees list (List of ITaskAssignee objects representing the users/groups to reassign the task to). How can I create those ITaskAssignee objects?
Is there another way to reassign the task?
    Thanks
    Panos
    (always under panic)

    Hi,
I believe you want to create instances of TaskAssignee (an implementation of ITaskAssignee). e.g.
    ITaskAssignee assigneeUser = new TaskAssignee("istone", false);
Where parameter 1 is the identity name, parameter 2 a boolean to indicate whether the assignee is a group. In that example we want a user so the flag is set to false.
You can then populate a List with these objects and send that along as your taskAssignees parameter to reassignTask.
    List assignees = new ArrayList();
    ITaskAssignee assigneeUser = new TaskAssignee("istone", false);
    assignees.add(assigneeUser );
    client.getTaskService().delegateTask(ctx, taskId, assignees);
I've not tested this as yet, I just happen to be working on something similar right this very moment.

  • Classes generated for Human Task UI

    Hi All,
I created ADF UI out of a human task (using Automatically generate form option). After generating, I can see lot of .xml files under the HumanTaskForm package, in the newly generated project. I would like to know the way in which these classes (Java Bean) are generated under the HumanTaskForm package.
Also, when I update some values in the UI page at runtime, I am able to see the change , in the response message of the HumanTask. I would like to know, from where the binding information come from, for those UI components, so that they are able to update!
Kindly give me some good documents that would explain me regarding the bean classes generated for HumanTask.
When I searched for the same, I could get the documents regarding the configuration of Human Task only. I need information regarding the Bean classes for Human Task.
    Thanks,
    Sabarisri. N

  • Suspend timers on human task

    Hi,
I am using suspendTask operation available on TaskService Web Service to programmatically suspend human tasks from ADF. It is working fine. The problem is that, i have a timer on that human task which is of interrupting type. Now, this timer triggers after a specified time even if the human task is in suspended state.
This makes me believe that timer does not differentiate suspended and assigned tasks. Unfortunately, the documentation does not detail out the behavior.
I tried using suspendTimers operation available on same TaskService. Even after firing this operation for a particular taskId, the timer gets triggered.
    Has anyone experienced this scenario?
    Any pointers/ suggestions will help.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sai

    Update -
I am able to reproduce the issue using simple human tasks with timer on one of the human task. I suspended the human task using BPM workspace. Still the timer on the suspended human task fires based on the setting of the timer. Is this expected behavior or am i hitting some kind of bug?
Attached sample with which i reproduced the issue.
Request any one who is aware of this issue to provide me with some pointers.

  • Query on rendering the Human Tasks in the customized GUI application.

    Hi All,
In oracle11g BPEL, Is there any way to render the Human Tasks in the Customized GUI (Weblogic Portal) application rather that using the applications like "Oracle BPM WorkList"?. Does the Oracle11g BPEL supports this ?. My requirement is that, i need to render the Human tasks inside my own GUI application. I do not want to allow the end user of my application to use the other GUI applications like Work List to wotk up on the human tasks. Instead of this, User must be able to access and work up on the BPEL human tasks through my Customized GUI (Weblogic Portal) application. Is there any way in Oracle11g BPEL to achieve the required functionality?.

    Hi Naga
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/apirefs.1111/e10660/toc.htm
    1. I would not recommend using APIs unless and otherwise if you do not have any other option. You can always create the TaskForms in your own custom pages using out of box generated bindings for each .TASK file. This gives more flexibility. There are lots of stuff associated with a Task apart from your own custom payload like full Task details, system attributes, headers, history, comments/attachments etc. You do not want to use APIs to get all these.
The below 2 links should give you an overview of overall architecture of a Workflow and TaskForms.
Re: Integrating BPM taskflows into an ADF application
Re: deploying a large Oracle BPM Application with multiple UI projects
    Re: What exactly 'PAYLOAD' Means???
Once you have basics covered, refer oracle docs also that shows how to reuse a single project.

  • How BPEL refers to human task form application during runtime ?

    Hi All,
I have worked on coulple of 10g BPEL human tasks and I remember '.tform' file used to capture
    task display jsp application url
    content of tform file
    <template>${http_url}/${domain_id}/BPEL_PROCESS/1.0/Task Form/Task Form.jsp</template>
I am looking for help on how same is achieved in 11g
    in Nutshell,
How does 11g bpel knows which task form it has to invoke?
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    Hi Praveen
If you already have a bpm/bpel application in soa 11g, open that in JDeveloper and serach for the file named hwtaskflow.xml. This file will be under your taskforms project -> Application Sources.
In JDev, for each human task, there is a .task file generated with payload details, actions that task is allowed etc. We can generate taskform for this .task using autogenerte or custom. Either way the above file will have the details like the association of the actual Task and correspond taskform jspx file. If you are familiar with the ADF architecture like bindings you can understand much better.
In EM console, click on the workflow file that is deployed under your soa_doamin. On right side, you will see list of all the human tasks and click on any human task. You will see the uri for that task. This is the reference for the deployed composite for that task. Now the above .xml file will have the exact human task name with additional information like which pageflow defintion file to invoke. All the pageflows xml files are under your taskforms\web-inf folder.
See the below link for more details:

  • "Reassign" and "Adhoc Route" Actions in human tasks

Has anyone run into oddities when using either the "Reassign" or "Adhoc Route" actions from within a task in the BPM workspace?
When I try to re-assign to a different participant, it seems the assignment gets lost altogether. The task history section on the task form shows the particpant went from the user I was logged in as and performed the reassign action to a "blank" participant on the next row. The Action column next to the blank participant shows "System Update" and the updated by column shows the participant from the previous row.
When I attempt to Adhoc Route, I select the participant to send to (via the search and moving them from the LHS to RHS of the shuttle widget) and add my comment - but when I click OK it doesn't go anywhere. The screen updates and the task history shows a new row indicating a comment was added, but not the adhoc routing assignment. It just stays in the current assignment as if nothing changed except the comment.

It also seems that the "Edit Routing Slip" option isn't functioning properly. If you go into a human task and click the "edit" pencil next to the "Task will go from starting to final participant" and check "Allow participants to edit new participants" then when you view the task within workspace the routing slip within the "History" section will appear with buttons to add/remove/edit rows in addition to an "Apply" and "Reset" button. However the add/remove/edit icons are always disabled. I tried with a participant within the routing slip, the Process Owner as well as an administrative user, but the results were the same. Am I doing this incorrectly?
Are these bugs or have these features not yet been implemented?

  • Using ADF BC in a Task Form (SOA Human Task)

    Hi!
I need to display data from a database table in a task form for a human task. This data is not part of the task payload.
I read some tutorials about using BC in ADF Applications and applied the same principles to my task form application, so I created a VO and a read-only table. Anyway when the form is displayed in the worklist I get a "Connection <name> not found" exception and lots of NPE. The connection is valid, i.e. declared under WLS JDBC conns.
I am using 11.1.1.2 version of FMW.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mick

    Mick,
You have to create new or use existing datasource in the worklogic admin console. Make sure the datasource is connected to the right database. Visit the following page for more information on how to create datasource.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10537/T430238T430340.htm
Make sure to suffix the datasource name with DS. Because connectivity from ADF model is not working without DS. We tried many times and worked only if we Suffix the datasource and JNDI name with DS.
If your datasource JNDI name is, for an example jdbc/MyDataSourceDS. set this value at your Application Module Configuration section for local and Shared. Note, you can only deploy and test in the server where the datasource got created.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.
    Thanks
    Annadurai.
