Hi Gurus
client has few requirements on Rebates
can we use Rebates in Sap CRM 4.0?? i
If no then how rebates are used,client has ECC in backend
Please give inputs at the earliest

Hi
It depends on the SRM release. Typical Rebate Agreements like in ECC are supposed to be possible with SRM 6.0. Anything else is based on discounts in SRM Contracts.
In case you are looking for real rebate agreements I would recommend to do them in ECC.
As far as I know, SRM-MDM is quite brand new which handles Rebate management..

    3.     Cash payment

    u2022     For the case of Undisclosed discount the client takes the decision based on again market condition and competitors activities, and this can happen immediately following monthly / quarterly / half yearly etc..
    Therefore I would like to know how to configure this in the rebate management system or there is any other way out for the same.

    For the rebate process, my client requires for their customers once the time period is over he dont want to raise the credit memo reuqest on the behalf of credit memo client want to replace the goods at free of cost to their customers.

  • SD Order Type for Rebate Management

    Hello,
    I have created Rebate Agreement. Status is coming as blank (Open).
    I want to create a Sales Order to test the rebate.
    How do I determine which Order Type to use for creating the Sales Document.

    For doing a cycle on Rebate in SD, you need to run full end to end OTC (Order 2 Cash) cycle.
    And to that you need to various configuration, which may include modification in pricing with addition of condition type for rebate bases, accrual relevant GL account, etc.
    You can search SCN or SAP building block for rebate related configuration.
    You will get a lot of information related to that.

    If you don't have requirement type 24 against condition type for rebate base in your pricing procedure.
    The condition type for rebate will also display in sales order & it can be indicative to end-user who is creating a sales order. But actual accrual value for rebate is posted from billing doc.
    Best practice is rebate bases should calculated in billing, as that will reflect in GL accounts and rebate agreement.
    This thing purely based on client requirement.
    As few people like to see a tentative value for rebate at the time of creation of sales order.

    Rebate is based on validity period and sales volume,we can define the validity period but where we will give this total sales volume.

    When you first create a rebate agreement, the system prompts you to specify a rebate agreement type. The rebate agreement type you specify determines which data the system automatically proposes for the corresponding rebate agreement. For example, the system can propose
    ·        which condition types you can use in an agreement
    ·        which validity period the system automatically proposes for an agreement
    ·        which status is required before an agreement can be processed for payment.
    ·        which rebate agreement types are defined in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
    Agreement Types in the Standard Version
    The standard version of the SAP System includes the following rebate agreement types (the table shows the corresponding condition types):

    Hi Guys,
    I have got a new scenario, where I have been stuck.
    I have to give the 5% extra rebate to a customer on the basis on quarterly sale.
    Scenario: I use to give monthly rebate of 5 to 8% to a customer.
    Now if the purchasing of a customer is greater than a limit within 1 quarter then will provide him/er 5% more rebate.
    How to configure that system can calculate quarterly purchasing of a customer and how to provide the rebate?
    Kindly suggest how to configure!!

    Normally for any condition type, if system needs to fetch different value based on certain parameters, we go with scale in condition record.  But for rebate this is not possible. 
    To achieve this, you can try with the technical coding modification as suggested in the following note:-

    Hi,
    When I use Vbo3 t-code and enter a rebate number and drill down to Sales volume of rebate management and hit SCOPE button and emty the content
    I get a list with Invoice numbers.
    I looked in KONA table it is header and how do we retriev data of these invoices?
    I lokked in to KONP and did not not find it usesful.
    Any ideas?

    Do one thing...
    Go to ST05...
    Switch on the SQL trace..
    Go to another session..execute the transaction VBO3 till you get the invoice numbers..
    Switch off the SQL trace..
    Use list trace..
    There you can see the list of tables accessed...
    Check those tables..

  • Posting date for rebate credit note document

    Hi friends,
    This is with reference to settlement of rebate agreement. There is a background job executed say today, but the posting date was backdated to 31/08/2011. The financial posting period for current month starts from 27th of Aug and the posting was done in current period only. The validity of the Rebate agreement ends on 31/08/2011.
    My query is what is the reason behind the system posted the document on 31/08/2011.
    Is it because the validity ends on 31/08/2011.

    You are correct.  The final settlement credit memo request uses the last day of the agreement validity period as the billing date.
    Please refer to the 29th Page  first and second lines of the Matthias white paper of Rebate management. Below is the link.

    Please follow the below path,
    Define a condition maintenance group for mass processing and assign it for use in mass processing.
    You do this in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management by choosing Rebate Processing ® Set Up Rebate Determination ® Create Condition Maintenance Group and Assign Maintenance Group for Mass Processing.
    If applicable, you have generated a number of rebate agreements via mass generation.
    On the SAP Easy Access screen choose Sales ® Rebate Management ® Mass Generate Rebate Agreements.

    I am exploring rebate management concept. Ive got stuck here. I have created rebate conditions in CRM.
    I have also loaded the customizing settings for these from R/3 backend system. But the pricing conditions are not getting correctly determined.
    Has anyone worked on this before?

    Going by your words that you have maintained all teh settings in ERP you need to do some tehnical settings as below...
    Before you do this i suggest you once again check all the customizing settings in ERP.
    you have to create the function module 'CND_MAP_CONV_FUNC_T685A_KRUEK' in the function group 'CND_MAP_GNRL_INTF_OW'.
    See the interface details below:

  • Dates Determination in Rebate

    Hi ERP gurus,
    I'm getting troubles with rebate management. Here below an example
    I created a rebate agreement starting from first of january and ending at the end of September.
    Let's assume that today 5th of october  i create a credit memo request through the rebate itself. The sales document created has billing date (VBKD-FKDAT), Serv.rendered date  (VBKD-FBUDA), Pricing date (VBKD PRSDT) 30.09.07.
    Due to FI validation, since the last document created in the number range has a date greater than the one i'm trying to post (i.e. 04.10) i cannot send the credit note to accounting.
    Which are the workarounds that ususally are put in place to skip this kind of problems?

    Standard SAP provides data transfer routine 11 at item level in your copy control setup between your rebate document request and rebate billing document - Tcode VTFA to change the billing date to today's date.
    If you are already using some other routine for data transfer validations, then copy the code from 11 into your routine and make the credit note date equals today date.  Put the extra logic to check your document type so that the code only works for your rebate based credit notes only.

  • Posting Date for Rebate Agreement (extended)

    Hi ,
    When doing settlement for the extended rebate, is it possible to input manually the posting date of the CM?
    Currently, it gets the valid to date of the agreement.  What if the settlement is done 2-3months after the validity period of the agreement, we would like to have the posting date as the current date and not a past date.

    You can asign account key to rebate condition and also speciefy G/L account.
    Because when you create sales order that time system recognise where to post values.
    This will not post any entry but it realise where to post.
