Receiver Correlation????

Hi Everybody!
I am implementing a BPM Scenario. I have three receieve steps in my BPM. The first one being the start process and the other two receiveing message from file adapter. The issue is when i configure these two receivers it asks for receiver correlation as a mandatory field.
First why do we need correlation?
Secondly can't I skip correlation step?
My design is  receive --> Transform1 ---> Transform2 ---> Send ---> <b>Receive</b> ---> Switch ---> Transform3 --->Send ---> <b>Receive</b> -
> Transform4 -
> Send.
Regards,
Ashish

Asish,
taking your scenario,
Consider your recive step is executed and the BPM is active waiting for the other file to comne in.
Before the next file comes in , if another BPM is activated becuase your recived recive1 message. Now, when the next message comes in , how does XI know which BPM instance is to be used.
Correlation is used in these cases. to corelate the messages.,
And you cannot skip correlation.

Bhavesh

  • JMS Control - receive-correlation-property

    Hi,
I am using JMS Control in WLI 8.1. This is not a WLI JMS Control. Some application

  • Correlation set in the onMessage of the pick activity

    Hi, everybody
If I set the correlation set initial to "yes" in the first Receive, and in the second Receive set the correlation set initial to "no", and give the correlation to a unique value. Everything goes fine. I can send the message and get reply. But if I set the correlation set initial to "yes" in the onMessage. I can't get the reply of the message.
    Receive

    pick
    |
    onMessage(correlation set, initial is "yes")
    |
    Receive(correlation set, initial is "no")
    Thanks,
    Allen

Nobody has met the same problem? It is crazy. I need some suggestions.
Why it can not get the reply when I set the correlation initial in onMessage?
    Thanks,
    Allen

  • Using Correlation in Initiator Task

    Hi All,
I have a Manual BPM Process. At anypoint and time, to gain access to existing instance I'm using Event Sub-Process inside the same BPM Process.
To hook up with the right instance I'm using Correlation in Event Sub-Process. It's start node activity uses the correlation property.
Now the problem is, where do I initiate the correlation property, since the process is kicked of by the initiator. If I initiate correlation in the Human Task I'm receiving Correlation Violation Exception.
    Please share your thoughts.
    Two Cents,
    Karthick

    Hi,
I had faced the same problem earlier also. The solution is very simple. You have to create another correlation with same properties  as the first one but with a different name. Now you will definitely be able to select the correlation.Select any one of the 2 correlations as they are doing the same tasks.
    Hope it helps you buddy!!!!
    Thanks

  • Agreement lookup failed as From trading partner cannot be identified

    Hi,
I am working on custom document over HTTPS.
I configured B2B to send custom document over Generic Exchange(transport - HTTPS).
I enqueue the XML document with AQ header to IP_OUT_QUEUE. B2B is able to read the data from IP_OUT_QUEUE and invokes the client Webapplication.
I changed the IP_OUT_QUEUE to custom AQ. B2B is able to read data from custom AQ, but B2B throws "Trading partner agreement lookup failed as From trading partner cannot be identified"

May be following info may help you establishing Co-relation
Two-way messaging requires that every received messages be correlated with the instance of the application that sent the original outgoing message. This correlation is typically managed for you by the JMS control, so no action is necessary on your part. To learn more about message correlation, see the explanation of the send-correlation-property and receive-correlation-property attributes for the @jc:jms annotation.
To enable two-way messaging with queues:
    1.
On the JMS control, specify the name of the JMS queue to which you want to send messages by setting the value of the send-jndi-name attribute on the @jc:jms annotation.
Specify the name of the JMS queue from which you want to receive messages by setting the value of the receive-jndi-name attribute on the @jc:jms annotation.
To send a message from your web service, call the JMS control's default method (sendTextMessage, sendBytesMessage, sendObjectMessage or sendJMSMessage depending on the message type selected when the control was created), or a custom method you have defined for the JMS control.
    4.
To be notified when messages are received on the receive queue, implement a callback handler for the JMS control?s callback (receiveTextMessage, receiveBytesMessage, receiveObjectMessage or receiveJMSMessage depending on the message type selected when the control was created), or a custom callback you have defined for the JMS control.
The following is an example enabling two-way messaging:
    public class MyService {
    * @common:control
    private MyQueueControl myQueue;
    * @common:operation
public void sendID(String personID) throws Exception
    myQueue.sendTextMessage( personID );
    myQueue_receiveTextMessage(String message)
// message has arrived from queue, perform desired operations

  • ClassCastException oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement with correlation receive

    Hi,
I am trying to run an asynchronous process that makes an invocation to an external WLI process, then gets an asynchronous receive from a second WLI process using correlation callbacks. We have two 10.1.3.3.0 servers, and the process works perfectly on the first server. The second server invokes WLI fine, and goes into a receive. But then when I call back into the BPEL process, I get the following error:
    Receive_1 (faulted)
[2008/02/08 09:46:37] Waiting for "receive" from "client". Asynchronous callback.
    [2008/02/08 09:46:53] "ClassCastException" has been thrown.less
    oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement
It's the same process, calling the same external processes, with identical input/output. What does the error on the second server mean?
    Thank you,
    Nicholas

    Hi,
I'm using BPEL process manager for calling a asynchronous web service,I can invoke the service from BPEL and the service is invoked correctly, but when I view the business process flow my process is stopped at receive state and doesn't pass it.
Could anybody tell me if any thing should be set to receive a callback from an asynchronous web service to BPEL process?
    Thnx in advance,
    Nasim

  • SCOM 2012 R2 Exchange Correlation Service , we receive almost at every day in the Event log Application the Event720

    HI
Since the SCOM was Upgrade to R2
Almost at every Day, we receive in the Event log application the Event 720 from the correlation service Source MSExchangeMonitoring Correlation
This arrives always around 7:20AM, someday is at 7:19, other at 7:21. It is always approximately at the same hour, but we never have any problem during weekend
    The description of the Event
Exceeded maximum time (15 minutes) to wait for completion of all CorrelateBatchTask threads.
After that the correlation stop to work. At the Same time if we tried to open the SCOM Console on that server we was unable to open it. Also we was not able to open the SCOM PowerShell
And also we cannot from that server to get which server is the RMS if we run get-SCOMRMSEmulator .  (This the RMS Server)
When this arrive, the only thing we found, it to reboot the server or restart de SCOM service, after the Reboot the Correlation begin to work
We got also many Event 714 Critical and after this Event 711 Warning
    Thank

    Have a look at: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/e75e84d9-0c9e-4d83-b3da-45a143757f85/exchange-2010-monitoring-with-scom-2012-correlation-service-issue
One user reported an issue with the exchange correlation engine after upgrade and said that:
I had issues with the corellation engine after upgrading scom 2012 to R2.
The MomBidLdr.dll version changed in the SCOM directories, and needs to be updated in the:

  • BPM processes, receiving signals (events) & correlation to existing instance

    Hi,
    BPM 11g/SOA Suite 11g (R1 PS2)
I am wondering whether it is possible to receive signals (EDN events) into a running process instance. The documentation describes how a process can be started by an event. I would like to be able to feed an event (signal) into a running process (just like we do with correlation in BPEL processes). Is that possible - and if so, how?
Along the same lines, can BPM processes receive messages through externally exposed WebService operations - into correlated process instances? For example: I have started the process to create a new employee in the organization and I want to inform the process instances taking care of this employee that she will start on a later date than originally assumed (or not at all because she has accepted another job). I know the unique employee id for this new hire. How can I configure the BPM process such that this incoming call after the instance has started is fed into a Receive activity in the process instance working on this employee?
Maybe a similar is question would be: can a message catch event be used without a corresponding message throw event - to catch incoming messages asynchronously and not related to a message sent by the process instance.
thanks very much for your insights,
    Lucas

I also tried DB Adapters and it is not working for my scenario. Needed help/pointers from a BPM Guru \.
As per my business scenario, If there any update in the database (offline approval. not using worklist) then i should complete the running BPM process for approval.
    1. To achieve this, I created a adapter to poll and it is working in polling. What is not working is picking the update in process and mark is closed/complete.
    2. I tried using Catch Event with continuation mode (but it needs throw event to begin with).
    3. I also tried ‘Receive event’, which also needs start event for continuation.
    4. If i use Initiate mode for catch event then it initiate a new process and mark it close and does not do anything with original process (having this catch event). This catch event is still waiting.
    5. If i use “receive” event with Initiate mode then jdeveloper is giving compilation time error saying that some service is not referenced in composite.
    6. I have also tried other options of using “Sub-process” or another process and invoking it but nothing seems to work.
    Any help/pointers? Thanks a lot.

  • Unable to see correlation in receiver step of BPM.

    Hi,
I am designing a BPM in XI. In a receiver step I need a correlation. I am able to select a correlation from the drop down of the field "Activate Correlations" but when it is activated, the correlation is not displayed.
I am using SAP XI 7.4 and Service Pack 9.
I need your help. Please reply.
    Regards,
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,
... seems to be an error of the GUI.
Delete your step & correlation. Design correlation. Save & activate. Than use your correlation. Save & activate.

  • BPM  debugging correlation in receive steps

    HI Friends,
In my collect messages BPM scenario pattern, correlation is not working, its appending the all the messages inspite of correlation field.
I want to debug the correlation in receive steps or any trace file if generated after processing that gives the full flow that will be great...
    Regards
    Venkatesh

    Hi Venkatesh,
just check your correlation condition again.....BPM will be collecting all those messages satisfying your correlation condition......
may be you have to modify your correlation condition to get your desired output...............................
if your correlation condition is correct and BPM is collecting those msgs which are not satisfying this correlation condition, then just edit your BPM description, save it and again activate it..............run SXI_CACHE to do a complete cache refresh........
re-run your scenario.........then i think your this correlation error should be resolved.

  • Problem when defining correlation with subsequent Async Receive Step.

    Hi, all:
We have defined a BMP process, like below:
Receive (Start Process) --> Sync Send --> Sync Send --- Async Send
Now we need to have additional steps added into the process: Async Receive.
Now we have problem defining the correlation:
Since this Async step is not the start of the process, we have to use correlation, if we leave it blank, a red question mark stays, and we can not active BPM.
When we define the correlation, we just expect one message type to be received from a Async system.
In the correlation condition editor window, we would like to choose "Interface Variable" and assign value to the container element that reference the asbtract interface.
however, when we selection optiontb "Interface Variable", there is value "interface" already fill up, we can not select container element from the elements list.
Any one has such experience ?
    Thanks in advance !
    John

    Hi
I think you are facing problem with corrrelation. Follow this procedure to define correlation : -
    1. Switch from Container window to Correlation List, here define a correlation variable.
    2. Now switch from Graphical Editor to Correlation Editor.
    3. There in Correlation Name choose your Correlation variable.
    4. In the Correlation Container define a variable.
    5. In Involved Message window choose your message interfaces that are used to correlate. Here you should have message interface of your second receive step with another message interface.
    6. Now in correlation editor's Properties window assign field of your involved message interface to the variable that you have defined in 4th step.
    7. Now switch to Graphical Editor of you BPM. And Activate your correlation in First receive step and Use Correlation it in subsequent receive step.
This is the whole procedure to define a correlation and use it.
If you need further clarification plz revert.
    Regards,
    Sami.

  • Correlation issue due to async receive with sync/async bridge

    Hi,
I have an Integration process (PI 7.0), which consists of sync/async bridge.
One of the step in the process is async receive.
To avoid any issue with correlation, i placed the whole process (except start and end) into a block and assigned a local correlation to it.
The Sync receive in sync/async bridge will activate the correlation and one of the async receive step in the process will use that correlation.
Normally it worked fine. But during one execution (just for testing), the async receive step did not take input to the process, and so the process execution replied "Timeout in Pipeline". But thereafter i cannot execute the process successfully, even when async takes the input.
And in the BPE monitoring, in workflow log, the process Instances are still "In Progress".
Do we have any way to stop these processes and unlink any possible correlation related to them?

    Hi,
A local correlation is only valid for the block for which it is defined. Once the block has been processed, the correlation is no longer active.
If the validity of a correlation is not restricted correctly, the following problems can occur:
¡        Messages that satisfy an active correlation are continued to be assigned to a running integration process. The integration process no longer processes the messages because no processing steps are waiting for the messages.
¡        Messages that satisfy an active correlation are continued to be assigned to a running integration process, instead of starting a new integration process.
You can avoid these problems and make it easier to follow how messages are processed by restricting correlations correctly to the required block.
Please check the local correlations for it
With SXMB_MONI_BPE you can monitor these instances.
But to kill it you need to use tcode SWWL. You can go to SXMB_ADM_BPE to check the BPM related settings.
    Thanks

  • Collect BPM - Start process and correlation in one Receiver

I'm using collect pattern based on timeout. Somehow in my infinite loop, in the receive step, I cannot combine "start process" with creating correlation and using it. All in the same receiver. When I try to activate my BPM, in the processing log I get, "start process" trigger removed.
Can someone throw any light on this....I've being trying this for over few hours now. I cannot get start process and correlation in one receiver. I must be doing something wrong.
Even the copied BPMCollectPattern removes the start process from the receiver.
    thank you,
    Pam
    Additional info:
The first message received starts the process within an infinite loop and activates the correlation "Correlation" by using IDoc message tyoe. Each subsequent message uses this correlation. The messages are received in the container element CollectMessage. In the loop the received messages are attached to the multiline container element CollectMessageList.

    Hi,
We are also in SP12. So start process is not a problem, because you are getting an Information saying that "start trigger removed" right? It is not an error.
Are you getting this eror "expression must not return multiline value" after your complete Integration Process desgin ? If So...
I think you are getting this error in Transformation Step where you are doing N:1 mapping. In this step you are mentioning Interface mapping right? Once you mention Interface Mapping in Transformation step you need to give Source Message Structure as well as Target Message Structure. According to my understanding you are getting error here. You can check these errors, while design time itself. If your entries are showing with Red Border then it is understood that there is an error.
So if error is here then I think you need to check your N:1 Mapping. In this mapping your Source side Messages should be 0...unbounded. Similarly in Interface Mapping also. Just check for Source Message Occurences...
I think it will solve your problem.
    Thanks,
    Moorthy

  • Correlation - Expiration of Receiving Step

    Dear all,
In our scenario, the ccBPM integration process needs to send an asynchronous messge to an external service provider and wait for some time to get the response. If e.g. 2 days passed without response received, the integration process has to report an error.
How can I specify the expiration time for the correlation message receiving?
    Thanks, Jerome

    Hi Jerome,
Just want to add one more thing..
Dont forget to do run transaction code <b>SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING</b>.ie Automatic BPE Customizing.
<i>Click on Maintain Runtime Environment .
Schedule background job for deadline monitoring.</i>
There are back ground jobs which runs and checks if any process has passed deadline. So over there you can set the time in which the back ground job should run. i.e if you want the process to wait for a minute and then throw an alert/error then you should make sure that the back ground job is scheduled in a timeframe of 1 minute.
    Regards,
    Sumit
