Receiver Proxy adapter

Hello Experts,
I am getting a message in SXMB_MONI "Pipeline ENTRY does not exist (table SXMSPIPE)"   <SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>
I am using a receiver XI adapter with HTTP protocol. Appreciate your help in resolving this.
Thanks
Ricky

Hi Ricky,
Just curious, but I assume the system that issued the message is the receiving R/3 6.20 System?
The error message says: "Pipeline ENTRY does not exist".
This means that the system that issued the message is looking for a pipeline called 'ENTRY' in its 'XML Message Server: Pipeline Definition' table SXMSPIPE.
The question is "Why would the system that issued the message be looking for a pipeline called 'ENTRY'". A possible answer follows.
I noticed in the SAP Note 602959, mentioned earlier in the forum thread, the following paragraph:
Begin of SAP Note quoted paragraph ****
The correct URL is http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&pipelineid=entry whereby you ... transaction SMICM (Goto -> Services).
If you are working exclusively in XI 2.0 (that is, you do not have a XI 1.0 sender), the correct URL is: http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
End of SAP Note quoted paragraph ****
I notice that the first URL in the above paragraph contains the parameter '&pipelineid=entry' while the second URL does not.
I don't know if you have control over the URL that calls the proxy in the receiving R/3 6.20 System, but if I were you, I'd try to make sure that the URL doesn't contain the parameter '&pipelineid=entry' because I think this parameter might be the reason for the system trying to find a pipeline called 'ENTRY'.
What do you think?
Best Regards,
Andy

  • Cannot see PI receiver(Proxy) adapter - advanced adapter specific message

    Hello Friends,
    I cannot see adapter specific message attributes in receiver adapter XI (abap proxy) for enabling. I want to use these properties for getting a file name dynamically in a receiver structure.
    I had seen a blog by Mr.Michal but that gives details for file to file. Here my target is abap proxy so I cannot see advance tab properties in XI adapter used communication channel.
    Clearly my interface is file to ecc (using proxy), where i will have to read a file name which my interface picks and has to update in ecc.
    I have enabled the sender side File adapter - ASMessage attributes but am not able to find the attributes in receiver side. Does it make any diffrence if am not enable the attributes at receiver adapter.
    Thanks very much.

    Swarna,
    in your scenario in order to have the file name updated on ecc, you must:
    1. Set the ASMA properties on sender channel
    2. Read the property in mapping and put the value in a custom field on the proxy structure. Create an UD like this:
    UD
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String onixdataset = conf.get(key);
    --- END UD
    3. Manage the filename in the proxy class with your requirements

  • ABAP client proxy With Receiver JDBC Adapter

    Hello Experts,
    I am working on a scenerio ABAP client proxy With Receiver JDBC Adapter.
    The client proxy program will fetch the master data related to equipment in plant maintenance module and  will update the sql database through Receiver JDBC Adapter .
    my requirement is if the equipement is created in sap then the  scheduled job has to trigger the client proxy program and send the message with status 'created'  to sql data base.
    if the equipment is modified in sap then the scheduled job has to trigger the client proxy program and send the message with status 'modify' to sql data base.
    please let me know how can i write the logic/code for this scenerio in client proxy program.
    Tables for equipment master i am using  is EQUI and fields are   ERDAT and AEDAT which is created date and modified date.
    fields for scheduling start date is tbtcp-sdldate.
    Thanks in advance.
    Ram.

    Hello Ram,
       Here you can check if updated date field is not empty then send status as created and if this field is not blank then send status as modified record.

  • Problem with file content conversion in receiver file adapter

    Hi All
    I have a problem with file content conversion in receiver file adapter.
    This is my recordset structure: Header_Record,1,Claim_Record,*,Check_Rec,1
    These are the content conversion parameters:
    Header_Record.fieldSeparator = ,
    Header_Record.endSeparator = 'nl'
    Claim_Record.fieldSeparator = ,
    Claim_Record.endSeparator = 'nl'
    Check_Rec.fieldSeparator = ,
    Check_Rec.endSeparator = 'nl'
    In SXMB_MONI, i can see that the data is correctly extracted from proxy, and correctly mapped to receiver message, and i see a checkered flag (success).
    But, Adapter status is RED with the following error message:
    Conversion initialization failed: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.Exception: Error(s) in XML conversion parameters found: Parameter '1.fieldFixedLengths' or '1.fieldSeparator' is missing
    In communication channel monitoring, i get the following error message:
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Channel has not been correctly initialized and cannot process messages
    What is going wrong here? Can anyone please tell me?
    Thanks

  • Dynamic File name in Receiver File adapter

    Hi,
    My Scenario is Proxy to File.
    I must create filename dynamically in the receiver file adapter by taking the sales order number and divison from the source.
    How can i create a dynamic filename? i searched the forum, but i could not get the correct answer,
    Please help me out.
    Regards
    Srinivas

    Hi Srinivas,
    > My Scenario is Proxy to File.
    > I must create filename dynamically in the receiver file adapter by taking the sales order number and divison from the source.
    public String targetFileName(String Sono, String Div, Container container) throws StreamTransformationException
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration)container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String MyFileName = sono + div + "<filename>"+".xml";
    conf.put(key, MyFileName);
    return MyFileName;
    File name you can format according to your requirement.
    And one more thing for this you have to specify the ASMA properties. For this check the below link step-1 and step-2.

    Hi Daneial,
    This is an issue due to any firewall or proxy between your Xi system and the FTP.In this case the direct logon
    works with same user but when XI tries to create file at runtime you get this error due to network issues.
    To resolve this contact your Basis/Network guys  and
    1. Set the permissions to FTP User you are using as 777 rights(full access to read , write and delete)
    2.If you have access to PI server, try to telnet /connect to ftp using command prompt (open ftp .....) the FTP server form there, you should see the same error there , inform this to your network guys.
    3.Clear all the files places already in the ftp (take backup) and test afresh after permissions are set by basis team.

    > Parameter '1.fieldFixedLengths' or '1.fieldSeparator' is missing
    It is saying that you are not using the fieldSeparator parqameter.
    have you provided the field separator parameter? if not then give like below
    order_row.fieldSeparator : ,  (give what ever the separater you are using)
    or
    order_row.fieldSeparator : 10,5,...  (if you are using fixed length)

  • Receiver file adapter with attachments.

    Hi
    I would like to pass a file receiver an attachment from a proxy. I have seen bits and pieces with attachments. I have read that its similar to the mail adapter.
    In the module
    localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean
    module configuration:
    Parameter Name: swap.keyName
    Parameter Value: payload-name
    Has anyone succeeded and would you explain the details?
    Thanks in advance
    Ian

    Hi,
    As far as I know, receiver file adapters do not supprt attachments.
    You can use the payloadSwapBean to swap the attachment and the actual proxy payload and then send it to the file adapter.
    Don't think it will be possible to send both the attachment and the payload to the receiver  file adapter though.

    Hi
    f i create like this Receiver CC (module Tab)
    number: 1
    Module Name: localejbs/CreateAttachment
    Module Type: Local Enterprise Bean
    Module Key: mail
    is it enough? do i need any other setting like this
    Did you deployed CreateAttachment on PI server. As this is not a standard SAP module this is a custom module?
    mail as module key is already used by XIMAILAdapterBean use some other key for CreateAttachment
    Settings are fine for the Module
    Processing Sequence
    localejbs/CreateAttachment Local Enterprise Bean XML2Plain
    localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean Local Enterprise Bean mail
    Module Configuration
    XML2Plain Transform.Class com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
    In this:
    Module Key: XML2Plain
    Parameter Name: Transform.Class
    Parameter Value: com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
    is it right?
    Processing sequence is fine
    XML2Plain Transform.ContentType text/plain;charset=utf-8
    XML2Plain xml.Header1000.fieldFixedLengths 100,10,10,30,30,80,80,20,10,10,20,20,30,10,18,240,10,30,18,10
    XML2Plain xml.Header2000.fieldFixedLengths 100,30,40,240
    XML2Plain xml.addHeaderLine 0
    XML2Plain xml.conversionType StructXML2Plain
    XML2Plain xml.recordsetStructure Header1000,Header2000
    can i anyone explain how to these settings?
    Is this key valid to provide inputs to the module check with the code for this module
    This looks like valid for MessageTransformBean ro StrictXMLtoPlainBean
    Thanks

    in this weblog michal have told to download the XSD file from service market place  and upload it in IR External definition it gives us target structure.What is the use off it, we can directly create the target structure.
    And also one more dought what is the use off checking parameter in mail Attributes use mail package.I dont have much knowledge on mail adapter please help me in this issue.
    i want to send parameters dynamically into receiver mail adapter in my project ie(TO,FROM,SUB and CONTENT) please send links and doc's on it.

    There is nothing wrong in your content conversion parameters. This is pure editors interpretation for the next line character.
    I would do in java program to fix this issue using '\r\n'   You might want to try and see how that helps for notepad editor.

  • How to handle BLOB field in receiver JDBC adapter into ABAP table

    Dear Experts,
    I am working in a synchronous scenario with Sender ABAP Proxy to Oracle Database as receiver via SAP PO 7.4.I will be calling a stored procedure view with fields ID, NAME,Age,*** and BLOB (Image binary).
    1. The response from Oracle Database field BLOB is to be stored in ABAP table.Would I have to write any JAVA program to read the BLOB or the receiver JDBC adapter will handle it and store in a table by using ABAP proxy once it reaches ECC.
    2. If yes, would the JAVA program have to deal with other 4 fields.
    3. Can I use a UDF mapping to this BLOB field.
    Regards
    Rebecca...

    Dear Praveen,
    Thanks for your response...
    Please correct me if I am wrong.
    1. For 1-1 response mapping for BLOB field, I will use just use the below UDF code.
    public static byte[] hexStringToByteArray(String s) {
                int len = s.length();
                byte[] data = new byte[len / 2];
                for (int i = 0; i < len; i += 2) {
                            data[i / 2] = (byte) ((Character.digit(s.charAt(i), 16) << 4)
                                                                                         + Character.digit(s.charAt(i+1), 16));
                return data;
    2. ===Using the byte data, create binary attachment in mapping for abap proxy response===
    Could you please share how to create the binary attachment.. I am not clear

  • Creating .RTF output files - PI7.0  Receiver file adapter

    Hi Experts,
    I am currently facing an issue with the Receiver File adapter where in the output files are required to be of the format of .RTF (Rich Text Format).
    The scenarios is an outbound proxy from SAP ABAP  - >  PI 7.0 ->  .RTF File
    All the data required to be present in the file will be coming in the source structure
    Can the File Receiver Adapter handle this ?
    Is there a way to generate Files with extension .rtf ??
    It is a requriement since the output files will be used as Reports , and so the desired format.
    I am unsure if I will have to use XSLT mapping , in this because i am new to that , Kindly let me know how to go about it ,. any links or pointers on how to achieve the same will be welcome.
