Receiver SOAP : Parsing SOAP Exception

Hello
We have a simple scenario SOAP scenario and we are calling backend service in our Receiver SOAP
It seems that issue is with the SOAP Action.
Our backend service has multiple SOAP Actions :
Endpoint  is as follows
http://serverID/ABCSoftware/ABCdataexchange.asmx
The SOAP Action is given as follows
http://ABCSoftware.net/SOAPAction
We are getting the following error

Hi Kiran
As you have multiple SOAP action. WSDL can have only one and can be used per communication channel.
Looking at your error its a XML serialization issue - exception with parser. Your XML input is not correct. If changes are made in your system / target system for the WSDL used. Reimport corrected one and try again
Thanks

  • Java WSDP 1.4 is not parsing SOAP Exceptions

    We used Java WSDP 1.4 toolkit to generate stubs for webservices. We used Tomcat 5.1 as the web container. When methods of the webservice are invoked which do not return SOAP exception responses, WSDP is able to properly parse the response and display the resutls correctly. But when the responses contains SOAP exceptions, WSDP always returns
    "java.rmi.RemoteException: Runtime exception; nested exception is: trailing block elements must have an id attribute".
    But other toolkits like Axis 1.1,.Net,ColdFusionMX,Glue are returning proper exceptions messages. The following is the exception message received from the other toolkits for the same method invocation.
    "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. '1000:Invalid data source name 'invalid_String'"
    Apart from Java WSDP all the other toolkits that we mentioned are able to parse the exception message properly and display the same.
    Any ideas why the toolkit is behaving like this. All the versions of Java WSDP that have come till date have a similar problem. We would be happy to hear any responses for the problem the we are facing in Java WSDP 1.4. At present we have decided not to use the toolkit for any web service development.

    Am specifying the URL of the WSDL file for which we are unable to get proper SOAP Exceptions, whenever they are generated. Whenever we give valid values while invoking the methods, the response is properly parsed, but when a SOAP Exception is supposed to be generated, it generally returns the Runtime exception that we mentioned. Can you please look into it and identify the reason about why it is failing. In case you are able to run it through properly, please attach the code that would make it work properly.

  • Receiving and parsing a SOAP Message

    Hi All.
    I have just installed the JAXM package, cause I want to programm a network message broker using SOAP. The server code is written in C# and I tested it. All messages are send and processed via SOAP and it all works.
    So I now want to try to receive these messages with a JAVA program. But when I looked up the API I didnt find any class or method for only receiving SOAP messages. I guess that I have overlooked the part where this is explained, or I got something wrong. But I would be grateful, if anyonle could tell me if and how this will work.
    Thanx in advance,
    Christian

    Hi
    To get a service to only receive messages you must use a class that implements Onewaylistener, and this class must be supported in a container environment e.g. servlet or J2EE container. It defines one method, public SOAPMessage onMessage(SOAPMessage) which is called by the container when it receives a message. For example say I want to create a servlet that receives SOAP messages for a purchasing application
    public class PurchasingServlet extends JAXMServlet implements
              OnewayListener{
         public SOAPMessage onMessage(SOAPMessage message){}
    The JAXMServlet is a helper servlet to handle SOAP messages but it is not necessary to implement.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error in the Receiver SOAP Adapter

    Hello Experts,
           I am sending an order number by running a report on the ECC 6.0 server to a web service for publishing the information on the web site. The receiver side is configured as Receiver SOAP Adapter . I am getting the following error in the SXMB_MONI Transaction.
    com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: Not enough message parts were received for the operation.
    Kindly let me know to overcome this problem.
    Thanks
    Best Regards

    This is the response for the request that i am sending for order creation. I did checked the fields also it is same and the values of the fields too. they all are correct. Over and above this it was working fine till last week , but suddendly this week I am getting this error.

  • Unknown soap exception?

    Hi,
    We're trying to use the soap adapter to send messaged from XI 2.0 into an external web service.
    We receive an error message ADAPTER.UNKNOWN_SOAP_EXCEPTION, with the text "soap exception from an adapter".
    Has anybody encountered this before? Any idea what we might be missing?
    The test service itself works fine, and incoming soap messages also come through. Outgoing soap messages do not seem to reach the webservice itself at all.
    The configuration file:
    Part 2 (ToWS): XMB clients to WS server ######
    The target URL for the web service, to which the adapter sends web service messages.
    XMBWS.TargetURL=http://localhost/test/test.asmx
    The port and path where the adapter waits for XMB messages from clients.
    XMBWS.XMBPort=8240
    XMBWS.XMBPath=/myservice/xmb
    The default SOAPAction HTTP request header to the web Service server
    XMBWS.DefaultSOAPAction="HelloWorld"
    Corresponding lines from log:
    12:48:44 (3835): Request transport message received at 8240/myservice/xmb
    12:48:44 (3836): Request message parsed
    12:48:44 (3837): Response message serialized
    12:48:44 (3838): Response transport message sent

    Hi Avihai,
    When you put the URL p://localhost/test/test.asmx
    in the internetbrowser, do you see the webservice navigator or any other page coming up? If you get an error, you should change the URL
    Kind regards,
    Paul

  • Err "Couldn't retrieve binding for the given channelId" in receiver SOAP CC

    Hello.
    We have increase the support package level of our XI 3.0 system from level 17 to 23. After this "upgrade" all interfaces using a receiver SOAP channel communication are getting the next error:
    SOAP: response message contains an error XIServer/UNKNOWN/ADAPTER.JAVA_EXCEPTION - com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPALookupException: Couldnt retrieve binding for the given channelId: Binding:CID=8cb6335a548730ea9ca27aaa78034109; at com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.lookup.AbstractLookupManager.getBindingByChannelId(AbstractLookupManager.java:361) at com.sap.aii.af.mp.soap.web.MessageServlet.doPost(MessageServlet.java:421) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:760) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:853) at com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.HttpHandlerImpl.runServlet(HttpHandlerImpl.java:401) at com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.HttpHandlerImpl.handleRequest(HttpHandlerImpl.java:266) at com.sap.engine.services.httpserver.server.RequestAnalizer.startServlet(RequestAnalizer.java:386) at com.sap.engine.services.httpserver.server.RequestAnalizer.startServlet(RequestAnalizer.java:364) at com.sap.engine.services.httpserver.server.RequestAnalizer.invokeWebContainer(RequestAnalizer.java:1039) at com.sap.engine.services.httpserver.server.RequestAnalizer.handle(RequestAnalizer.java:265) at com.sap.engine.services.httpserver.server.Client.handle(Client.java:95) at com.sap.engine.services.httpserver.server.Processor.request(Processor.java:175) at com.sap.engine.core.service630.context.cluster.session.ApplicationSessionMessageListener.process(ApplicationSessionMessageListener.java:33) at com.sap.engine.core.cluster.impl6.session.MessageRunner.run(MessageRunner.java:41) at com.sap.engine.core.thread.impl3.ActionObject.run(ActionObject.java:37) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at com.sap.engine.core.thread.impl3.SingleThread.execute(SingleThread.java:102) at com.sap.engine.core.thread.impl3.SingleThread.run(SingleThread.java:172)
    We have done the next steps:
    - Run SXI_CACHE and start a complete cache refresh,
    - http://<Host>:<portNo.>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
    - Restart J2EE server.
    The problem isn't solved.
    any idea?

    Probably you need to ask your BASIS team if they have done it or not.
    Secondly you can just see if something has been done under SWCV SAP BASIS --- http://sap.com/xi/XI/System --- Adapter Metadata, just by oping any adapter and then by looking at Properties or Hisotry from menu "Adapter Metadata". Here you can see the date under "Changed on", so if this matches with your upgrade date then something has been done. But this check will not help you know about the SP level. So better to ask with BASIS.

  • SOAP Exception in JWSDP1.2

    Hi,
    We are using jtomcat4.1 and j2sdk1.4.2_01 with jwsdp1.2 to access a webservice using JSP. When SOAP Exception has to be thrown from the WebService, We are getting, "java.rmi.RemoteException: Runtime exception; nested exception is: trailing block elements must have an id attribute ". Is it a bug with the JWSDP toolkit or anyother workaround is there to get the correct SOAPException?

    This is not a bug. According to the JAXRPC spec. you should receive
    either a SOAPFaultException or a RemoteException. There is no
    tool/setting to get a SOAPFaultException instead.

    are you able to ping or telnet the host server where the WS is hosted from the PI server?
    The issue is that the PI server IP addresses might not be opened in the firewall to connect to the web service.

    can you confirm if you have configured the adapter correctly? Troubleshooting - RFC and SOAP scenarios *** Updated on 20/04/2009 ***
    Also it will be a good idea to check with your end application and confirm if they have received the message and if it is a fault  message being triggered from their end (potentially data issues) that is showing up as an error in the adapter

    com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: javax.ejb.TransactionRolledbackLocalException:

    com.sap.aii.af.lib.mp.module.ModuleData com.sap.aii.adapter.axis.modules.AFAdapterBean.process
    (com.sap.aii.af.lib.mp.module.ModuleContext,com.sap.aii.af.lib.mp.module.ModuleData) throws
    com.sap.aii.af.lib.mp.module.ModuleException method on bean instance

    Had to deploy the axis framework.

  • Changing data structure in the receiver SOAP adapter

    I was wondering whether it is possible to have changing data structure in terms of one receiver SOAP adapter so I could sent data type 1 and 2 to a single XI web service enabled URL and make conditional parsing in terms of the received message ?
    I have a receiver SOAP adapter that ideally should be able to receive two different types of messages. But SOAP adapter is fixed to a sigle message interface that naturally has it's data structure set to just one type. I can just create conditions in terms of the data type 1 message that has been defined in the design side.
    Is it possible achieve this with just one SOAP receiver adapter?
