Receiving data in Client side!

Im sending three different Strings from Server to Client. Client receive those as one string. Does anyone know how to identify each string in Client side.
Code:
Server
StreamConnection conn = (StreamConnection) Connector.open(connString);
OutputStream outData = conn.openOutputStream();
outData.write(btAddress.getBytes());
outData.write(deviceName.getBytes());
outData.write(nickName.getBytes());
Client
StreamConnection conn = notifier.acceptAndOpen();
InputStream inData = conn.openInputStream();
ByteArrayOutputStream myData = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
         // Read the data sent from the server until the end of stream
         int i;
         while ((i = inData.read()) != -1) {
              myData.write(i);
// Shows all the strings in one!
form.append("Received: " + myData.toString() + "\n");
...

Hello John,
I can also connect ./start_BPMS_bpms1_CommandLineClient.sh from command line in Unix server. But i couldn't connect from my studio console install in windows.
I am getting the following error.
Network communication with the server failed. Check your network connection and try again.
Connection timed out: connect

  • Error writing data to client-side row cache.  URGENT!!!

    Hi everyone
    I had had this error for 3 weeks and I don't know what am I doing wrong?
    I have an Oracle Database. and when I Run my project from JSC I get this error:.
    Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the web application. Please review the following stack trace for more information regarding the error.
    Exception Details: javax.faces.FacesException
    java.sql.SQLException: [sunm][Oracle JDBC Driver]Error writing data to client-side row cache.
    Possible Source of Error:
    Class Name: com.sun.jsfcl.data.RowSetDataModel
    File Name: RowSetDataModel.java
    Source not available. Information regarding the location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.
    I uninstalled and installed the JSC and the first time that I run my project worked fine, but just that time, because then the error appeared again.
    What can I do????

  • Any ideas on how to re-sort report data on client side

    Hi,
    Could anybody provide any ideas on what technologies I should
    apply to enable user to re-sort the data of a report on client
    side browser.
    Thanks
    JC

    Hi,
    if you create a frameset, this could have a javascript array
    containing your result set.
    Then when the frameset is loaded it could populate its own
    single frame with the contents of the array (the initially
    sorted rows of the report).
    Now by some trigger (e.g. clicking on the heading) you could
    tell the javascript in the frameset to resort the data array,
    ordering by the column clicked on. Then send a call to the
    function that populates the frame with the contents of the array.
    This should do what you want, but it is not really a Portal
    solution as the report would have to be a procedure in PL/SQL
    rather than a 'proper' Portal report.
    If I get time I will create an example using the SCOTT.EMP table.

  • Validating data in client side

    Hi,
    I'm developing a web application using Struts framework.
    and my questions is, does the validate method int the ActionForm replaces the using javascript validation?
    If I can do all the validations in this validate method, so does that mean that i'm not going to use JS at all?

    Client side validation is usually a subset of the validation done on the server side (ie, server side duplicates the client side validation, and then some).
    I usually only do some basic client side validation such as:
    a textfield is null, but shouldn't be
    a textfield should be in this format but isn't: mm/dd/yyyy
    a textfield should be a number but contains a letter.
    If these conditions occur, dont submit the form, pop up a warning dialog box instead.

  • How to handle received data after client timeout

    I believe this is a common question and sorry if it is asked and answered before. I didn't find the answer.
    I have a client/server app. there mainly two threads. one is to handle my regular GUI command, and the other one is to check if the server is still alive by sending ping command every 5 seconds. I set the client timeout 10 seconds. My problem is as the following:
    1. client sends a command CMD
    2. Client timeout after 10 seconds
    3. The background thread sends a Ping command
    4. Client received the response for the first command CMD
    5. then the client assume the response is for the Ping CMD and mismatched!
    I am thinking about using the following ways to handle this issue, wondering if anyone could let me know if they are ok and which one is better. OR there could be a better solution altogether.
    Method 1 - if client time out, close everything, consider server is dead. try to re-establish connection again
    method 2 - attach a ticket to each command and response, so that they can be matched regardless the order it is receive.
    Thank you very much!
    livz

    Thanks for all the replies.
    I use the ping to check if the server is connected and a lot of my GUI functions are enabled/diabled based on whether the server is in presence. for example, certain buttons or operations are disabled if the server is disconnected. I didn't find a better way to handle this. Please advice if there is anything better.
    10 seconds was randomly chosen based on experience. It works most of the time but sometimes it times out.
    again, thanks a lot for any advice!

  • Load data from File on Client side (via Sqlplus)

    Server OS: RedHat, Oracle 10g rel 2.
    I am trying to load data from OS .txt files to clob field.
    I am able to do this successfully using:
    Oracle DIRECTORY
    BFILE
    DBMS_LOB.loadclobfromfile packageIssue is: this only works if my files and DIR are on database server.
    Is it not possible "load clob from file" from client side, files being on client and exec command via SQLPlus. Is there any other option to load data from client side.
    Thanks for any help.

  • DataInputStream with slow client side connection

    I need to stream some data to client. server pushes all messages once connection is established over internet.
    but when internet connection is slow (like wireless). i see lot more messages in receive Queue on client side. then for a brief period of time, server stops sending messages (may be due to socket channel is full or something)
    so it looks like application is stealth mode. then all of sudden application starts consuming messages (may be when that channel gets empty)
    any idea how to fix this slow connection issue? i don't care if client drops certain messages. how can i flush or empty out that socket channel ?
    below is the code snippet that i am using...
    try {
           InputStream is = new URL(streamerUrl).openStream();
           ds = new DataInputStream(new BufferedInputStream(is));
           parseBody(ds);
        } catch (IOException ex) {
                        logger.error(ex.getMessage());
        }

    My decision was to send acknowledge and if server side can't get to acknowledge it will skip all new messages.If the server can't get an acknowledgment it can only mean that the connection has failed, which will manifest itself to the server as an IOException: 'connection reset' on a write. The acknowledgement adds nothing except latency and more bandwidth usage.
    So why not skip message while network lacking.I agree, but why not use what the network is already telling you, rather than adding more messages and more failure modes? Now it's the client that has to look out for connection resets. You've just moved the problem.

  • Client-Auth reports: HTTP4031: Unexpected error receiving data: -5938

    I am trying to deploy the clientcert sample applcation that comes with the platform edition of SunOne V7.
    I have used openssl as a CA and have created client and server certs.
    I get the following problem.
         Sun ONE Application Server - HTTP Status 403 Error
         Access to the specified resource (Access to the requested resource has been denied) has been forbidden.
         Type: Status Report
         Message: Access to the requested resource has been denied.
    As can be seen from the server.log below, some form of authentication succeeds:
         [12/Aug/2004:08:56:11] FINE ( 2392): X.500 name login succeeded for : CN=tweekes, O=tester, C=ie

    However there is a severe error:

    Also, HTTPS works with server side authentication and I signed both client and server certs with same private "CA" certification.
    Question: Do I need any special extentions in the certs for use with SSL?
    Thanks in advance.

  • View data in client B from client A in the same SID without a valid logon?

    Hi Folks
    We are planning on upgrading our 4.6C system to ERP 6.0, and are initialy considering having two clients in the same sandbox SID.  One would be for the developers to perform code remediation checks (client A), and one would contain a copy of production data for performing testing of functionality over live data (client B).
    Would it be possible to view data in client B from client A in the same system without a valid logon to client B or RFC connection to client B from client A?   For example via the use on an ABAP program to SQL the database?
    I know one can use transactions like SM30/SM31 to view, compare, and adjust data between clients, but this requires an RFC connection and valid logon to the target client.
    Regards
    Kevin.

    Short answer: yes.
    If someone has the right to write and execute ABAP reports on the system he is able to access the data of all clients. So I don't think that this setup is advisable. Don't mix development and production data in one system.

  • Storing Server side Data on CLient machine

    Hi
    My Problem is:
    I have GUI application in which some data is passed from a jsp to the servlet which after processing sends the data back to the jsp for display.
    Now i want that data to be stored on the client side as a file and not display it.
    It is excatly the opposite of <input type="file"> which uploads a client file to the server.
    I want to do the reverse. How can i go about it.

    Do a search on the forums by entering "Servlet File Download" in the little search box on the left hand side of this page and click the >> button.
    Note that this is going to display a file download dialog box, I do not think it's possible to avoid this (i.e. the system's not just going to save there without asking the client, that would be a security problem, don't you think?)

  • Merging randomly-named XML data file on client-side with pdf designed in Livecycle 7.0 (and addition

    Okay, as a heads up I work for a financial institution and we are converting our legacy "jetforms" to pdf format. I have in my staff for the project, 2 code developers and myself- a form designer. We have currently spent 2 months in trial and error attempting to resolve this problem, please let us know anything you can have. All client-side (internal) machines are running Windows XP and Adobe Reader 7.0.7
    The software we use as a financial institution allows our users to export a customer's data file onto their machine which is then renamed to include the member's account number and first and last name for our staff to determine which data file they need more accurately. In legacy jetforms, we have developed a program that pushes the data from the customers file that they select, into the jetform that they want to open and the matching fields in the data file fill in the fields of the jetform. Clean and simple.
    Now, i have hit nothing but frustration when attempting to perform the same process with pdfs using a form designed in livecycle designer 7. First, i see no obvious command for opening a pdf and importing a data file using a command line, like pdfmerge or something of the sort in which an xml data file can be specified and a pdf can be specified. I saw something like it using an fdf format and attempted to do this but apparently reader cannot import the data into the pdf that was designed adobe livecycle 7. All i have been seeing is database connections and using javascript inside the form to populate fields based on these database connections, etc. etc. or doing a manual file>import data>etc. which we don't want to have our staff do. We do not have reader extensions enabled, simply because i cannot get an adobe representative to call me and discuss pricing nor see any estimated pricing chart around. I don't know if reader extensions are necessary for this or not but i'm becoming very very frustrated with it.
    We don't want a complex server-side data connection binding with dynamic input. No, we just want it where our developers can say "if this data file is selected, and this pdf form is selected run this command" which would be a simple pdfmerge type solution. Is this possible or do i need to stay with jetforms until our software the billion dollar financial institution uses does form building inside its own application? I don't want to fight about who is better, what version to use, etc. I just want the straight up honest truth. If you need to know the pricing that the reader extensions would have to go by, assume there will be 500 client computers that will need to use it.

    From your post it sounds like you are Central Pro (a product for which I am by no means an expert), but you say you want to upgrade to a newer product from your "legacy" one. Is there a reason for this? Have your requirements change so that it no longer fits them? Central is still in the current Adobe roster and as far as I know there is no plans to get rid of it any time soon, so if it does everything you want I don't see why you would want to change.
    There is no product in the LiveCycle suite that merges xml data into a form from the command line. LiveCycle (with the exception of Designer) is a suite of server products, so the closest you would come is LiveCycle Forms (merge the xml and create a fillable PDF) or LiveCycle Print (merge the xml and print the form).
    Hope this helps somewhat.

  • How to get and put data in HTTP header in Client Side

    One JSP's function is to display data records page by page. Client users could click "First page" or "Previous Page" or "Next Page" or "Last Page" button to let the JSP to show the corresponding page. So the JSP must remember the current page number. Due to there are a number of client users maybe access the JSP at the same time, keep the current page number in session, there will be a lot of session is created at the same time, this will impact system's performance. So using session to keep data method is not used. I plan to use request header and response header to pass the current page number. I know use the response.addHeader to put data in response header and also know use request.getHeader to get data in request header in server side, but I donot know how to put data in request header and how to get data in response header in client side. Could you please give me a help? If donot use these method, are there any other method? Thanks a lot.

    Why not pass it as a parameter with the URL?
    at the beginning of the page..
    <%
    int pageNumber = Integer.parseInt(request.getParameter("page"));
    %>
    then when defining your links
    <a href="thisPage.jsp?page=<%= (pageNumber-1)%>">Previous</a>
    <a href="thisPage.jsp?page=<%= (pageNumber+1)%>">Next</a>

  • Good name (or maybe a pattern) for a client-side data accessor

    Hello,
    I am building a client/server app, the client is a Swing application.
    The client needs to read/write information to the server. I have a set of "DAO" classes that encapsulate remote acces:
    package myapp.client;
    public class OrderDAO {
        public OrderDTO getDaylyOrders();
        public void saveOrder(OrderDTO order);
    }The implementing class connects to an RMI server which exposes an OrderService interface with more technical methods (getOrdersForDate(Date), getPendingOrders(),...).
    I just feel the name DAO is misleading on the client side, because traditionnally it is a server-side pattern, and indeed in the myapp.server package, I have a set of classes named OrderDAO as well, which do what I think is the usual work of DAOs (mask the usage of the DB to the server logic).
    I'm wondering whether my client-side "DAO" actually follows the intent of the DAO pattern. Otherwise what is it, or how should it be named?
    Isn't it a BusinessDelegate instead, as it encapsulates the usage of the OrderService?
    Note that it is not just a Proxy to the server-side DAO class, because there is a bit of sever-side business logic (filtering and aggregation by the OrderService) between what the server side DAO returns (essentially Lists of entities mapped from the database tables) and what the client-side "DAO" returns.

    It has been a while for me, but when I designed
    applications I favored using some part of a design
    patttern name for the main class of the pattern. For
    Business Delegate objects, using the "Delegate" part
    is helpful if there will ever be other software
    develoeprs working with the code. Even if not, it
    will help you remember the design when/if you return
    to it in a few years or so.I see where you are coming from here but I think that this doesn't really hold up under scrutiny and from my paast experience. First of all, it's not feasible to rely the design with class names. You'll end up with something similar to Hungarian notation if you try. This means that you must have external design documents. It's tempting to think that classnames and JavaDocs will be enough but they aren't. They are necessary but not sufficient.
    When I talk about the 'users of the class' I'm talking about other developers. The 'users of the application' don't see the classes. My experience is that naming classes or anything else with notes about it's internal implementation seems like it would be helpful but is of limited usefulness to maintenance developers. For most work the developer is only going to care what the class does (e.g. retreieve business objects) not how it does it. If the developer need to know that, they can easily open the class documentation and even the source (assuming that's available.
    If you do end up doing this, you also need to think about what will happen if you change the design under the hood of the class. Do you change the name of the class? You really should, if it's name is based on the design. What I've seen happen too often is that it does not happen and the class is named as it if does one thing but acutally does something else entirely.
    OrderServiceDelegate would be an informative
    name because it would imply that the actual code for
    implementing the "order service" is in another class
    and that this class is for "delegating" only.That's easily determined by looking at the class documentation and like I said above, doesn't usually matter to other classes using it. That's one of the main tenets of OO design. Separation of concerns. The classes that use this shouldn't need to know how it does it's job (althought, this is not always feasible IMO.) If the classes depend on a BusinessDelegate, then what do you do if you move the class to an environment where they use the Facade directly, for example. You are in effect coupling related classes to a pattern. If I have a FooRetriever, I might want one that's a business delegate, one that's a DAO and one that is a stub. The idea of coupling an interface to a pattern is strange to me.
    For implementations of the Abstract Factory pattern,
    I typically would include the term "Factory" in the
    class name. Same goes for Facade and Proxy. Factory classes are the most likely misnamed. Often implementations of factories (I know that's not a GoF pattern) or abstract factories are named FooBarSingleton. So, if anything, don't name Singleton classes with the word Singleton.

    trying to GET /my/jsp/passo/, Client-Auth reports: HTTP4031: Unexpected error receiving data (End of file)
    I configured obj.conf for the above one
    <If $uri =~ "/my(/passo.*)">
    NameTrans fn="restart" from="$uri" uri="/ap/jsp$1"
    </If>
    <Object ppath="/my/jsp/passo/*">
    PathCheck fn="get-client-cert" dorequest="1"
    </Object>
    Please correct me if i am wrong in the configuration. If i removed those lines it is started working. but i am not sure this will enforce the request to provide certificate from the client.
    I highly be appreciated if any one responded.

    The below one is the correct configurations
    <If $uri =~ "/my(/passo.*)">
    NameTrans fn="restart" from="$uri" uri="/my/jsp$1"
    </If>
    <Object ppath="/my/jsp/passo/*">
    PathCheck fn="get-client-cert" dorequest="1"
    </Object>

  • Handle Received data of Multiple TCP clients on TCP Server by displaying them into Datagrid

    Hello All,
    I have developed a C# based TCP server GUI application which is accepting the data from multiple TCP clients on TCP server.
    The data i am receiving from TCP clients is a 32 bit data. In my application multiple TCP client data goes like this:
    00012331100025123000124510321562
    01112563110002512456012451032125 and so on...
    Now i want those data of the TCP clients to be parsed into 4 bits first and display it in 8 columns (32/4=8) of (say) datagrid as each 4 bit represents some characteristics of the TCP client. The same thing
    should work for next TCP client on second row of datagrid.
    Can you give me some suggestion or an example how to go about this? Any help would be appreciated.
     Thank you in advance.
    Here is my code for receiving data from multiple TCP clients.
    void m_Terminal_MessageRecived(Socket socket, byte[] buffer)
    string message = ConvertBytesToString(buffer, buffer.Length);
    PublishMessage(listMessages, string.Format("Sockets: {0}", message));
    // Send Echo
    // m_ServerTerminal.DistributeMessage(buffer);
    private string ConvertBytesToString(byte[] bytes, int iRx)
    char[] chars = new char[iRx + 1];
    System.Text.Decoder d = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetDecoder();
    d.GetChars(bytes, 0, iRx, chars, 0);
    string szData = new string(chars);
    return szData;

    Now i want those data of the TCP clients to be parsed into 4 bits first and display it in 8 columns (32/4=8) of (say) datagrid as each 4 bit represents some characteristics of the TCP client. The same thing
    should work for next TCP client on second row of datagrid
    If mean it's a Windows Forms application and you want to display those bits in a DataGridView control, then please see these threads:
    Add row to datagridview
    Programmatically add new row to DataGridView
