Recently firefox loads LinkedIn home page as text only. Was no problem before I installed latest version and the page loads fine in Explorer and Safari.

There is an option in page permissions I would check first:
# Right click on the page and select "Page Info"
# Under Media make sure "Block Images from..." is not checked
Then check out: [[Websites look wrong or appear differently than they should]]
Mainly I would focus on the cache, as the cached page might be corrupt. To clear any corrupt pages it is possible to forget the site from the about:permissions page -> this is not recoverable.
You can open the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer).
Check on the Network tab if any content is blocked and has a file size 0 (zero).

JTo start with, you have no document type declaration on first line of your pages which sends them into Quirks Mode.
File menu > Convert > select a document type that fits your coding skills (HTML 4 transitional or strict).
Run your code through these on-line tools and fix any reported errors. If that doesn't fix the problem, post back.

Images (actually graphics) loaded fine in the previous version of firefox, but now do not open in firefox 5. It is our business' website. it opens and looks fine in explorer and other browsers. However, please goto www.trinitystone.biz (using Firefox 5)and look at how the top menu bar has a black box surrounding it and the bottom menu also has this black bar. It is not supposed to be there, if you view the site from IE, you will see what it is supposed to look like. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

In version 3.x.x I used to be able to type search terms into the address bar and the page would load, similar to Google's "Feeling Lucky" button. Now it just brings up a Google search for the terms I typed in. How can I get this time saving feature back?
The change between Firefox 3.6.* and Firefox 4 is how location bar search works. In Firefox 3.6 it uses Google "Browse by name" search. With the browse by name search, it performs a Google search and if there is a clear match it will take you to the site, otherwise it shows the Google search result. With Firefox 4 it just performs a Google search if you type something which is not recognised as a URL.
To get the Firefox 3.6 behaviour on Firefox 4 you need to change a hidden preference.

I tried down loading mozilla firefox to use as a web browser. It was downloaded 100% then when prompted to "run" An error message comes up with a red cross and the message'This file is corrupted" and won't let me proceed. What do I do now?
It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Many thanksI would connect each device to a power source, and then reset them by holding the power button and the home button until they turn off.
If it keeps happening, I would put the devices in recovery mode and restore them with iTunes.

Some mail programs, including Apple Mail, can reduce the size of images that are attached to a message. It's happening at the sender's end, and all you can do is ask the sender for a larger image.

After installing 8.2 on my iPad (2nd gen) all the apps crash during use. It appears that the iPad saves a version of what I was using because after the app crashes I double press the home button an there is a screen of an older version of the page I was using. I swipe it away and start over, only to have the same thing happen again. I have reinstalled all the apps, rebooted, synced and re-synced with iTunes. This is VERY irritating!
That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it... -
I just received my iphoto book. It is horrible. The photo colours are faded and the pages have been cut on a angle (showing a crooked white line at the bollom of each page. This is not the view on my home computer. Who do I contact to get this fixed?

Sorry should have said, when I log in my emails pop up momentarily. Then, it seems as if the pages aren't loading. A message comes up on the bottom left that the pages are loading, then errors occur and nothing happens.

I just opened an "old" project in a newer version of iPhoto and the pages in the book doubled in number with the seam in the middle of each page. Suggestions?
Start with Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file delete the contents the following folder:
User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.
If that doesn't help continue with:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database.

I do not have administrative authority on this computer but it has never been a problem before with updating.
Thanks Corel. The computer I use at work is the one I'm having problems on. I also do work at home (where I am now) so I also have two Firefox profiles set up on my home computer. On my home computer when I updated the first profile both profiles updated, so I know it SHOULD work that way. On my work computer I did do the Help, About, version check and it told me I had the older version and needed to update, ran me through the update process but still the second profile was not updated. I will try the other two links, if the computer will let me since I'm not an administrator on it. That probably won't be until Monday. I don't really want to bug our director about it because she is so busy. I know that the Shockwave Flash and Java Plugins are outdated but they require administrator privileges to do. Something else I just thought of, every time I start that second profile at work it was saying Firefox was not my default browser, did I want to make it the default browser, I would agree, but still it would happen the next time. When I go into Tools, Options and look, it says Firefox IS my default browser. I finally told it not to check each time it starts. I don't know if this is connected to my original issue or not. Thanks for the advice and I will check it out next week and let you know how things go.

It sounds like you you have the old www.google.com/firefox/ start page that used to be the default homepage in Firefox before Firefox 4.0 sometime. It is not being maintained by Google anymore so either ignore the message or while in Firefox go to Tools->Options->General->Homepage section and change your homepage.
