Recognize page as popup???Intresting

hi all,
I am opening a JSF page developed in ADF. The page can be opened as Normal page as well as popup.....
I need to find out whether the page is opened as popup or main page from backing code and not the html code...
requirement is ambiguous but is required.....

hello, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.

Nice Page Expired Popup is not showing up

</session-config>My problem is that the "Expiration Warning" and "Page expired" popups are not appearing. The session is timing out after 3 minutes.

i am using jdev 11.1.1.3.0 i did the same way but i am not getting popup.
This is a new feature that is available in jdev 11.1.1.4.0 and is NOT available in jdev 11.1.1.3.0.

Passing data from calling page to popup window

Hi All,
We are developing a BSP application for business card.I need to provide a preview button .
when the user clicks this button a
poopup window should open with the preview of business card.
My problem is how to pass the values like name , designation etc from the main page to popup window.

I was doing something similar...created a controller and a view , was calling the controller from window.open method with all other parameters for sizing etc.

When I refresh a page, a popup comes asking my confirmation because firefox will need repeat an action, so is there any way I can disable this?

Every time I refresh a page, a popup:
"To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier."
...appears.

Can you open a second jsp page as popup/new window?

Hi all gurus!
I have a question regarding popups/new windows in an iview application. Instead of starting with a question let me instead describe what I want to do.
We have a jsp page that presents a search and then the search result in a table where one column is "clickable". When the user clicks a cell a server round trip retreives data specific for that cell value. This is standard functionality and already fixed so here is what differes: we want a new jsp window to open like a popup, with the data retreived from the server round trip and at the same time the first page with the table shall still be there so that you just can close the popup and click the next cell which creates a new server round trip and a new jsp popup and so on.
My solution which doesn't work yet: In application "a" I have a JavaScript for the clicked cell which opens another iview application "b" in a new window, by window.open("navurl_to_the_iview"), and that works fine.
At the same time the value of the clicked cell is written to the data bean and the bean is put in the http session (since component session does not reach between applications).
The second iview "b" retreives the bean from the http session and fills the jsp page with data.
Here is now the problem: no data is displayed and this because the iview "b" retreives the bean BEFORE iview "a" has been able to put the bean/value into the http session. How do I know this for sure? Simple, if I do a refresh of iview "b" the value is displayed.
I could do a JavaScript that recursively checks if the value in the bean is null or not but then I have to do a method that retreives the bean from the http session each time.
This could work but I wonder if this is the most simple solution. So my question for you gents and madams is: do you know of a more simple solution?

Hi you all.
In this case the solution was to pass the id in the url to the second iview and let that iview use the id to retreive data from the backend system.
But I still think the question is interesting, if it's possible to open a second jsp window after a server round trip and still have the first one open.

MBP Pro doesn't recognize Pages docs from iPad, vice versa

Beacuse I'd like to be able to experience the wonderful seamlessness of the new cloud with Mountain Lion, I downloaded Mountain Lion onto my MacBook Pro, as well as the Pages app (I previously had Pages '09), in addition to downloaded the Pages app for iOS (iPad 2 and iPhone 4S).
I thought that in theory, I could start a document on the iPad/Phone and it woudl appear on the MBP, as well, as vice versa. That has not happened. Specifically, I was taking notes last week on the iPad and when it didn't pop up on my MBP or the Cloud on the MBP, i email the document as Pages document to myslef and thought I could just open it on the MBP then and it'd appear as a new Pages doc there. Well, when i downloaded the Pages doc from the iPad onto the MBP, I got a message saying The open XML file could not be opened because there are problemns with it, and The file is corrupt and cannot be opened. How can it be corrupt? I just created it a few days ago on the iPad? Also, when i follow prompts to open the document, the message box is a Word one? Why is Word then stepping in to try to open it? Shouldn't an Apple app on one machine recognize a document made on an Apple app on another device? I should point out this has happened everytime I've tried to share documents on my mac devices via Pages.
Also, kind of related, when i go to the options of what to do with the file on the iPad, i get the option to use iwork -- but of course there is no iWork anymore. So why hasn't this option beeen updated? Why not just a 'save to cloud' option? And what's this 'send to itunes' option? I selected that for one document and of course that didn't work, either.

You do need to turn on iCloud syncing on the iOS devices as it is not on by default. Go to Settings & scroll way down to the apps area & tap on Pages & turn iCloud syncing on. The same applies to your Macs, go to System Preferences > iCloud & check Documents & Data. Of course, you must have a iCloud account.

Need to Open Another jspx page as popup from template

But account info page has.

When ever link any link on a web page many popups are opening. I don't get popups or adds when I use chrome or IE. Really frustrated with Firefox.

Fire fox current version very frustrating and allows losts of ads and popups. When ever I click on any link from a web page ( any web page) i get a pop ups from ads like jabong, etc. I use the url of the same web page in chrome or IE I do not get such popups. It also crashes often.
The only way to get rid of this is to get use to Chrome or some other browser.

vksh89, What Extensions do you have installed as there are a few that can insert ad links on pages for example.
Also if Firefox is your default browser something on computer may be targeting it.

How to call another page from popup

3. on click of cb1 i need to call page p2.

Page Template Popup with Dynamic Region TaskFlow

I'm trying now to enable users to edit configuration via a tree link. }If I don't define the bean at backingBean scope, I get a Target Unreachable error from any page using the template.
When I attempt to use the link to the popup, the popup displays but the region content does not. Is this a scoping issue?
Additionally, after pressing combinations of the 2 commandimagelink components, the first link stops submitting... this may be a side-effect of the region display though?
Again, as I'm quite new to ADF I don't know how to overcome or avoid these issues, or whether there is a better method to achieve an edit capability in a popup window from a page template.

Hello again. I've managed to get the dynamic region displaying once I restarted JDeveloper and re-created the Region and backingBean. This has happened before - is JDeveloper known to get "confused" (like me!) in this way?
There are still issues though. The backingBean contains a PopupCanceledListener as follows:

The Popup has the ContentDelivery="lazyUncached" and ChildCreation="deferred". The TaskFlow Binding has Refresh="default" and activation="deferred". With these property values the Popup is displays the correct value on its first use but then keeps that same value on any subsequent selection. I don't know whether this is because of the TaskFlow not correctly resetting or something else...
Can anyone help me please. This is beyond frustrating. The behaviour of these various property settings is not at all predictable for me... Thanks.

Open page in popup window using javascript:popupURL

Hi, call a page in a popup window works fine using javascript:popupURL, but my question is
Is it possible to specify height, width, pos x and y for the popup window?

sure, but I guess you will have to write your own javascript function to do so:

Goto Detail Page to PopUp Window

I have a page with a repeat region in ASP VBScript. I want to use a Goto Detail Page but to open a PopUp Window with Javascript. This doesn't work for me, as it always goes to the first record:

Calling jspx page from popup

Hi All,
I am using jdev 11.1.1.5.0. I have create one page i.e Emp.jspx from which i have popup in which i m calling jspx page.
Can any one help me out from this.

Hi:
You can use the popup dialog framework. Put page#1(p1.jspx) in adfc-config and pade#2(p2.jspx) in a bounded taskflow(btf1). Drag btf1 to adfc-config.xml as a taskflow call(tfc1) and set it's runAsDialog property to true under Behavior section. Create a navigation case in adfc-config.xml from p1 to tfc1 and name it. Select the button action to the navigation case yuo've created earlier and fix it's properties to invoke navigation in a popup(Under Behavior -> Secondary Window section change useWindow property to true; using the rest of the properties under Secondary Window section to modify the popup).
Find more info under chapter "Using Dialogs in Your Application", Fusion Developer Guide for Oracle ADF.
Consider this example from Andrejus Baranovskis Blog to fix other issues.
Better approach is to use page fragments and bounded taskflows with page fragments within a region, nevertheless for a jspx page you also could use a popup component in the page containing an inline frame.
