Record sorting using integer properties in aggregated records

This is regarding a clarification on how sorting works across within rolled up endeca records . We roll up endeca records to represent the complete record (product). We have price as a property available with every record and when rolled up along with price sorted (low to high), with in the aggregated record we get the least price. When we apply price sorting (high to low), we get highest price with in the aggregated product.
we are looking for is the least price with in the aggregated record to be used for sorting High to Low. Any ideas if this can be done.
Below is the example of how the data looks at record level.
P1
R1  3.35
R2  3.25
R3  2.85
P2
R1  2.35
R2  3.45
P3
R1  3.45
R2  4.65
R3  3.25
R4  3.95
Currently Low to High brings (P2-2.35,P1-2.85,P3-3.25)
Currently High to Low brings (P3-4.65,P2-3.45, P1-3.35)
Expected  ---> High to Low (P3-3.25, P1-2.85, P2-2.35) The reverse order of current low to high

Check the class java.util.Collections and its method sort().
You may also want to have a look at java.util.Arrays.

sort using integersIf your integer set only contains positive numbers, you could readily use radix sort for strings for
them. You could easily convert int[] to String[] and vice versa. If your integer set is a mix of
positives and negatives, then you would have to run radix sort twice and concatenate the
results. One for positives, and anothe for negatives -- the latter should be a reverse
radix sort because -1234 is larger than -5678.

  • Cost involved in changing the code using log4j.properties to log4j.xml

i have finished my application, and it was done in such a way that logging is done using log4j but it was using log4j.properties file.
now i need to change it to log4j.xml. i need to do this at the earliest. so i need to know the cost involved in it?. do i need to change a lot on my app to read the log4j.xml?. In my app there is a function named getProperties, which actually reads the log4j.properties file.
this is the code of that function
public static Properties getProperties(String filename,String path) throws myException

    1. Restructure log4j.properties into log4j.xml.
    thats done
    2. Move log4j.xml into a directory that's in the
    classpath.
actually i donot understand what does it mean to move in a directory thats in classpath means. i have to use logging in my webapplication running in tomcat. and my log4j.xml has to reside in catalina.home/properties/. My log4j.properties have been residing here and it had worked well woth the previous function. Now what i did is placed the log4j.xml under properties folder. Now tell me what modifications should i make in the above code.
    3. Remove any code that explicitly configures log4j
(i.e. the initialize() method) because log4j will
configure itself from any properties file it finds in
the classpath, automatically, the first time it is
called.I prefer not remvoing this function as this function is being called in many of my classes... and we don't have time to edit all...
please help... and excuse me if i asked some blunders.!!!

  • Multiple use of properties file

Is there a way to use a properties file for multiple languages?
    ie.
en_EN points to the en_EN properties file
I want en_US to also point to that, is this possible? (it now points to default language if not present)
And anyone got a good tutorial / overview of the possibilities of properties file? have not been able to find a good example that shows all possibilities
    Thanks

Provide an en version which contains all the English stuff, then put all the en_US and en_EN variants into those files respectively.

-update the 3.0 branch to use build.properties to create the flex-sdk-description.xml
    Modified Paths:
    flex/sdk/branches/3.0.x/build.properties
    flex/sdk/branches/3.0.x/build.xml
    Added Paths:
    flex/sdk/branches/3.0.x/collateral/en_US/flex-sdk-description.xml

By the way, simply adding the quotes around the lexical names in the sql statement doesn't work. That causes the lexical references to be ignored as simple string values:
    SELECT
       '&FLEX_GL_BALANCING_APROMPT' alias_gl_balancing_aprompt
      ,'&FLEX_GL_ACCOUNT_LPROMPT'   alias_gl_account_lprompt
      ,'&ACCT_BAL_LPROMPT'          alias_acct_bal_lprompt
FROM dualI turned on statement-level debugging via xdodebug.cfg and saw how it compiled the lexicals. By replicating the call to apps.fnd_flex_xml_publisher_apis.kff_segments_metadata that I found there, I was able to hack together a workaround for this issue.
Please point me to a better way of doing this if possible, as I had to GRANT EXECUTE on this apps package to my custom code schema. Is there a better lexical/flexfields reference than the XML Publisher documentation?
Here is the call I made in my before-report trigger:
--set ACCT_BAL_LPROMPT flexfield segment metadata lexical
    begin
    apps.fnd_flex_xml_publisher_apis.kff_segments_metadata(
      'FLEX_ACCT_BAL_LPROMPT',
      'SQLGL',
      'GL#',
      101,
      'GL_BALANCING',
      'Y',
      'LEFT_PROMPT',
      c_FLEX_ACCT_BAL_LPROMPT
    end;

This works fine. But, when the user accessing the report from
http://servername/ReportServer, you cant expect him to append this text everytime. I also found that it can be somehow achieved using Report Properties Code. But, since Im new to that, unable to get how to achieve the same.
Could someone share an example of how to set the default property of rc:Parameters to Collapsed using Code?
    Thanks,
    Akalya

    Hi Akalya,
According to your description, you want to hide parameter pane when the user accessing the report from Report Manager. To achieve this goal, we can click “Show/Hide Parameters” arrow to hide the parameter pane after view the report from Report Manager.
Besides, if I understand correctly, you had specify default values for all report parameters, so you want to hide parameter pane. If in this scenario, we can hide all parameters and then the parameter pane will be hidden.
For example, open the report Properties page on Report Manager and go to Parameter tab, click the "Hide" selection for all parameters. We can also hide the parameters by specify the parameter visibility with "Hidden" before you deploy the report to Report
    Server.
If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Using jndi.properties with weblogic 6.1

Apologies if this is a basic question - I am new to Weblogic.
I have successfully got a test EJB working with Weblogic 6.1 using a properties object to set up my JNDI InitialContext.
In the weblogic examples I've downloaded it says you can also use a jndi.properties file to do this. I have set up a jndi.properties file, which is in the classpath for my class calling the EJB. But when I do my jndi .lookup("ejbname") I get the error:
    javax.naming.CommunicationException: Can't find SerialContextProvider
    The weblogic documentation at:
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs61///rmi_iiop/API_rmi_iiop.html
refers to using jndi.properties and says to look at:
    http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs61/jndi/jndi.html
But at this page there is no mention of the jndi.properties method.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions - in particular whether it is possible to use this method of configuring the JNDI setup.
    I'm running wlserver6.1 on a Windows 2000 PC, using JDK 1.3.1
My jndi.properties file looks as follows:
    java.naming.property.names=java.naming.factory.initial,java.naming.provider.url
    java.naming.factory.initial=weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
    java.naming.provider.url=t3://localhost:7001

    It is not WebLogic-specific. See
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/javax/naming/InitialContext.html

  • Filer using user properties in DIAdem

I added to my channels some user properties which values clarify the context of different channels, saving all channels in different TDM files. Working woth data loaded in the Data Portal or selecting dat for loading I would like to view / compare /process data with specific values of user properties. How can I filter my channels using User Properties content ?
    Thanks

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello Luca,
    This should be pretty easy.
In the NAVIGATOR, selected the"Advanced Search" button (little blue icon on the top right side of the NAVIGATOR Window).
Build the query based on your customer property (in your case a Channel property) in the query builder. If you have numeric properties, you can use ">" "<" ">=" "<=" and "=" for your queries. Queries can be connected with AND or OR, it should be pretty straight forward from there.
Let us know if you have any additional questions. If you do, it always helps to share your version of DIAdem and a few data files if you can.
