Records web services' CREATE_FOLDER to create folders in retention schedule

Hi, I am looking for a way to create record folder's using web services with Content Server since I need to create more than a 1000 folders. The steps I have take thus far are:
1. Downloaded the Records.wsdl file from Administration-> Soap Wsdls-> Records. This contains the CREATE_FOLDER service method.
2. Imported the Records.wsdl file to Eclipse.
3. Generated the java files using Eclipse's "Add Web Service Client".
4. I now see the stub (com.stellent.www.Records.RecordsSoapStub.java) and proxy (com.stellent.www.Records.RecordsSoapProxy.java).
At this point I am stuck and not sure how to proceed further or use the generated classes, so any help would be great.
Other information:
1. I am trying to execute this code from a standalone java program and JUnit test case. Is that possible?
Once again, thank you for your help.
Regards,
Amar

Hi Amar ,
Please find code snippet for creating Records Folder using RIDC API  :
dataBinder.putLocal("IdcService","CREATE_FOLDER");
            dataBinder.putLocal("dFolderName","<name of the folder>");
            dataBinder.putLocal("dFolderID","<Folder ID>");
           // dataBinder.putLocal("dFolderDescription","<description for the folder>");
            dataBinder.putLocal("dDocAuthor","<username>");
            dataBinder.putLocal("dSecurityGroup","<group assigned>");
            dataBinder.putLocal("dCategoryID","<under which RC this folder is to be created>");
            dataBinder.putLocal("dIsVital","0");  // Yes =1 , No=0
           // dataBinder.putLocal("dRecordActivationDate","");
           // dataBinder.putLocal("dRecordExpirationDate","");
           // dataBinder.putLocal("dDeleteApproveDate","");
           // dataBinder.putLocal("dSupplementalMarkings","");
            dataBinder.putLocal("dRMProfileTrigger","");
           // dataBinder.putLocal("dVitalReviewer","");
           // dataBinder.putLocal("dVitalPeriodUnits","0");
           // dataBinder.putLocal("dVitalPeriod","0");
Those lines which are comment are optional ones .
Hope this helps .

  • How to Call web service operation by creating plain SOAP message in client?

    Hi
    Thank you for reading my post.
    I have some questions about using web methods of a web service which i would be very gratfull if you could answer.
    I should implement a web service that should receive a file with some other parameters from client and another web service which should receive some parameters and return a file.
    I used a mechanism like the following one to handle the condition and it just works. But I have a problem, I need to create dynamic invocation and I must create soap message and send it to webservice (no IDE generated code)
    What i need is one or two tips or a sample that shows how we can send and receive files by web services.
    I want to know how we can create the SOAP message ourself and then send it to the web service endpoint and it call the web method and ....
    Imagine the following web method, How i can invoke it by creating soap message myself and sending it to end point.
    @WebMethod
    public String saveFile(@WebParam(name = "fileName") String fileName, @WebParam(name = "fileContent") byte[] fileContent) {
    // TODO implement operation
    return "Something";
    Another question is :
    Does this mechanism that i used to transfer files is OK?
    Is it optimized or there are some other ways to do this job.
    I should say that i put one week on handlers to use soap attachments and i get no result.
    So, Please let me know if you know or have some sample that show me how to do the above job.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    From NW04s SP8 you can create webservice systems from within VC , and you will have the option of adding a user and password to authenticate. You can find it at Tools>>Define web service system. You will see a check box url requires user and password.
    If for some reason you can not do it in VC then you should create the system in the portal and fill out the usermapping screens.

    I'm working on getting a proxy web service working in 11g and the contents of this thread is close to answering my question.
    The web service proxy is accessing a service that requires a SOAP Security header.
    In looking at the previous post, I thought that by using the BindingProvider API I could add the security settings. But when I invoke the proxy I consistently get the following error response from the (PeopleSoft) web service: "com.sun.xml.ws.client.ClientTransportException: request requires HTTP authentication: Unauthorized'
    In contrast to that error, when I use JDeveloper's HTTP Analyzer, I get a successful response from the web service. Below is what the raw HTTP looks like:
    POST https://isiswebdev.services.wisc.edu:7002/PSIGW/PeopleSoftServiceListeningConnector HTTP/1.1
    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8
    Host: isiswebdev.services.wisc.edu:7002
    SOAPAction: "CI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_G.V2"
    Content-Length: 548
    X-HTTPAnalyzer-Rules: 1
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns1="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd" xmlns:ns2="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Enterprise/Tools/schemas/M183895.V1">
    <env:Header>
    <ns1:Security>
    <ns1:UsernameToken>
    <ns1:Username>UserName</ns1:Username>
    <ns1:Password>XXXXXXX</ns1:Password>
    </ns1:UsernameToken>
    </ns1:Security>
    </env:Header>
    <env:Body>
    <ns2:Get__CompIntfc__U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI>
    <ns2:EMPLID>012345678912</ns2:EMPLID>
    </ns2:Get__CompIntfc__U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI>
    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    Here's the Java code that I'm using to try to make the same call:
    public void callIWebservice(String emplId){
    cSA_STDNT_DATA = new CSA_STDNT_DATA();
    CI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_PortType port = cSA_STDNT_DATA.getCI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_Port();
    Map<String, Object> requestContext = ((BindingProvider)port).getRequestContext();
    requestContext.put(BindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY, "UserName");
    requestContext.put(BindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY,"XXXXXXX");
    GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACITypeShape CiType = new GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACITypeShape();
    EMPLIDTypeShape emplIDType = new EMPLIDTypeShape();
    emplIDType.setValue(emplId);
    CiType.setEMPLID(emplIDType);
    try {
    GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACIResponseTypeShape response = port.getDATA(CiType);
    System.out.println(response.getCUMGPA());
    } catch (M464939V1 e) {
    System.out.println(e.getFaultInfo());
    But, alas, I just get the ClientTransportException.
    Is the Bindingprovider interface the correct way to add the soap security headers? Or am I following the wrong path?
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Change jsp's in web service client when creating a web service in WID

    Hi, Actually , when we a web service, on websphere Integration Developer,JSP's get generated after creating the web service client.
    Those JSP's are named as input.html, invoke.jsp etc, I need to change the jsp's for good look and feel,
    But I am unalble to do that as there is no configuration information included in the jsps created by default, Please let me know, if any has come across this kind of situation and knows how to deal with.

    Hi,
    Not sure if you can get answer to WID specific questions on the Oracle-WebServices forum. Here, we are mainly talking about SOAP and WSDL, and mostly with the Oracle OC4J implementation.
    When you generate a static proxy, you can set the endpoint URL dynamically using a helper method on the class generated by JDeveloper - look for setEndpoint()
    import javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory;
    import javax.xml.rpc.Stub;
        public void setEndpoint(String endpoint) {
            ((Stub) _port)._setProperty(Stub.ENDPOINT_ADDRESS_PROPERTY, endpoint);
        }The generated code uses the JAX-RPC APIs under the cover, which may also apply to Websphere's internal implementation.
    Hope it Helps,
    -Eric

  • Web services - Could not create stubs on some servers

    My error is related to web services.
    The problem is that on some servers I can consume webservices
    and on some other not. The servers have the same configuration - at
    least it look like that.
    The calling page and the webservice component are in fact
    very simple. The source code is at the bottom of the page.
    When the web service is not consumed I have a following error
    message:
    coldfusion.jsp.CompilationFailedException: Errors reported by
    Java compiler: Found 5 semantic errors compiling

    When I took a look to the stubs directory I found that all
    java classes are compiled except for:
    WebserviceCompCfcSoapBindingStub.java
    Just to save your time - I've been trying stuff with the
    displayname etc... :-/
    If you would like me to supply you more information - please
    let me know.
    Thanks for any answers.

    After investigation it turned out that one of the libraries
    was using java.rmi.RemoteException.class which was quite old.
    Apparently when the servers were starting they were launching
    the libraries in different order. So some of them were using old
    version of java.rmi.RemoteException.class and the AxisFault.class
    that inherited from it couldn't compile.

  • Error in Webservices. Web Service is to create email id of employee

    Hi All,
    We are using Bapi's as RFC currently to update the email id of an employee. This is being called from a third party system Dot net. It is working fine.
    Bapis are
    BAPI_EMPLOYEET_ENQUEUE--- To lock the employee
    Bapi_Emplcomm_Create----To update the email id
    Bapi_Employeet_Dequeue---To unlock the employee
    now as per the new requirement we converted the BAPI's into Webservices and exposed the same to Dot net
    After locking the employee successfully when Dot net is trying to call the webservice for email id updation it is giving the error as
    Error accessing the Ref Node 'Employeenumber'.
    I am confused is the error coming from SAP side or from the Dot Net side
    Please suggest a solution for the same.
    Thank you in advance

    Hi Anil,
    Run the code in debug mode by setting break point in .NET as well as in BAPI. You have all the details you need to know. Wait...wasn't that simple or am I missing something

    After creating an EJB when i try to click on Context Web Services-->>Create Web Service i get an error "IWAB0234E An internal error occurred.".

    Hi Pankaj,
    This is a known WTP problem. See for example http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/jst/components/ws/M5/news/jst-ws-m5news.html and especially <a href="https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=99728">Bug 99728</a>.
    Hopefully, if you select the configuration as "Server: SAP Server" and "Web service runtime: SAP Netweaver" on the first page of the wizard, this should work.

  • 2004S MiniSAP ABAP: SAPGUI crashes when creating a Web Service

    I have installed the NW2004S ABAP Preview System from SDN on a VMWare Image (Windows XP, 1.7 GB Mem).
    No problems during the install. Also I was able to run the sample Web Dynpro Quiz Application.
    However when try to create a Web Service the SAP GUi crashes with the Windows Error Message "dispwork.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." Interestingly enough the "dispwork.exe" process in the MMC continues to be green and I can reconnect.
    Here are the detailed steps if you want to try to re-produce:
    1) Select Package SAPBC_IBF_SCUSTOMER
    2) Select Function Module "BAPI_FLCUST_GetList"
    3) Right mouse click and Create -> Web Service
    4) Web Service Wizard opens, type in name for Web Service (Z_...) and continue with the default settings
    5) Creat as Local Object
    Result: After about 5 minutes of compiling the SAP GUI crashes. The Web Service is not created (checked in WSADMIN)
    Any help is greatly appreciated. Will reward points for hints which lead to a resolution.

    I'm glad to see it wasn't just me having this problem. I installed the SPS8 version of the 2004s ABAP trial a couple weeks ago and immediately tried to apply SPS9 and kernel patches, etc. (with a lot of help from your blog 3930, even though some things have changed since then).
    I ran into this same problem you describe but since there had been some other problems along the way too, I decided to uninstall the whole server and start over. Uninstallation and getting a clean installation again was a mess (maybe the new cleanup utility would have helped some) but I got past that.
    The second time through, I made a lot of improvements, which I'll list here since they may help others, but still ran into this problem in the XPRA_EXECUTION phase.
    Improvements to process:
    1) Backup database first, just in case
    2) Share the c:\SAP directory as Sapmnt so that SPAM can find the packages
    3) Add at least one extra batch process, since the default installation only gives one and more are needed for the support package installation (the easy way is to increase rdisp/wp_no_btc in the NSP* profile in C:\SAP\NSP\SYS\profile)
    4) While in the profile, change ztta/cua_area = 250000 to avoid some errors logged in trace files for having that too low
    5) Also in the profile, put the slash between the directory and file name in ssf/ssfapi_lib and sec/libsapsecu
    6) Also in the profile, add "dynpro/generate_in_separate_luw = N", as per note 949737
    7) Request and install a new license key before applying the support packages.
    All of the above were changes I made after finding errors or problems and these solve the problems. Some errors also led me to upgrade MAXDB from 7.60 build 32 to 33 (pretty painless if note 735598 is followed carefully) but I'm not sure that really solved anything.
    I tried hard to debug the WEBI_AFTER_IMPORT problem and narrowed it down to when it's trying to create a transformation for a function and XSLT_MAINTENANCE is called and then inside the Activate method and the Check method it calls. I ended up not able to solve this problem but also hoping that SPS10 would do so, as per note 973675. I just removed the AFTER_IMP method for WEBI from table OBJM temporarily while letting SPAM continue.
    I too will be waiting to see if SPS10 helps or if someone comes up with a solution. Ideally, a new version of the trial could be posted which incorporates the above improvements and includes SPS9 or SPS10 so that those installing it fresh don't have to go through so many issues...
    Message was edited by James Webster at 10/10/2006 5:36 p.m. EST to add point 7 to the list of improvements.

  • Creating Web Service from Java Class-How to eliminate nillable="true"

    Does anyone know how to eliminate the attribute, nillable="true", from the element tags which describe the parameters in the WSDL created when creating a web service from a Java Class? It does this only for the string types. Is there something I need to set when creating the web service or before creating the web service? Or the only way is to modify this WSDL then recreate the web service from the WSDL.
    example part of wsdl:
    this is in the <types> tag:
    <complexType name="getData">
    <sequence>
    <element name="schema" type="string" nillable="true"/>
    <element name="table_or_view_name" type="string" nillable="true"/>
    </sequence>
    </complexType>
    <complexType name="getDataResponse">
    <sequence>
    <element name="result" type="string" nillable="true"/>
    </sequence>
    </complexType>

    I did do this and I got the following error when deploying to the Stand-alone OC4j:
    Operation failed with error:
    Error compiling
    :D:\h\cots\Oracle\JDeveloper10g10.1.3\j2ee\home\applications\DBOperationsWSApp-DBData-WS\WebServices: Error instantiating compiler: webservice artifact generation failed :oracle.j2ee.ws.common.tools.api.ValidationException : Exception declaration mismatch between Implementation: dbdatapackage.DBDataOperations and Interface: dbdatapackage.DBDataWS. Impl class Method: getData declares exceptions not declared by the interface (java.lang.Exception)
    I am quite sure what it is saying. It generated the code for the Interface: dbdatapackage.DVDataWS. Impl class. Why would it not do it right? What expection is it complaining about? java.lang.Exception?

    Two comments:
    1) The generated proxy looks correct.  If you explore the generated code for the InputParams object and the Rowset object, they should represent the incoming and outgoing data structures for your transaction.  If not, and if you are returning an XML property type from the transaction, be sure that you have used the "Assign Reference Document" technique to tell MII what the structure of your outgoing document is (there are a few other discussion threads on that topic).
    2) Personally, I find it much easier to consume MII services from .NET code using a URL-based technique instead of a SOAP based technique.  Invoke the "Runner" servlet (see the documentation) and you'll get an XML document back, that will always be in the MII Rowsets/Rowset/Row format.  Also, it is "self describing" because it includes Column metadata information.  It is very trivial to load this into a .NET XmlDocument object and parse/process it.  In fact, doing a similar approach, I've been able to make MII services appear as ADO.NET tables/stored procedures to .NET code.

  • Import jax-ws web service created in netbeans 6.5

    Hello,
    I have seen a few posts on this but without a result, so trying again in case there has been some progress. First of all I ran the UsWeather example, imported the webservices etc. and this works. I then tried the same for my web service, jax-ws create via netbeans and this doesn't work. It is a simple calc function that should accept two integer, i and j and return the sum. then it works
    The generated CalcWSService.as add function looks like this(i.e.the parameters appear to be hidden
           public function add(add:Add):AsyncToken
                   var _internal_token:AsyncToken = _baseService.add(add);
                _internal_token.addEventListener("result",_add_populate_results);
                _internal_token.addEventListener("fault",throwFault);
                return _internal_token;
    Any way to get around the problem when importing the web services via the wizard?

  • How to create or simulate a WEB service? Scenario RFC to WEBService.

    Hello PI experts,
    I'm creating an interface with this scenario: RFC->PI->WEBService, the message is synchronous. The problem is that we don't have nothing at the webservice yet, I just want to know if have a way to create or simulate a webservice to test my interface? If someone have some material or information please it will be very helpfull.
    Thanks

    Create two scenarios.
    1) Using SOAP sender you can create a web service.  So create a simple scenario using soap sender and  use some receiver like jdbc or file or something for your test.  Create WSDL using sender agreeement and save the wsdl.
    2) create RFC to SOAP scenario. In the receiver side use the WSDL as external definition for the receiver mesg structure. Configure SOAP receiver to point  the soap service created using soap sender in the step 1.
    Basically you need to know SOAP sender for the step 1 and Soap receiver for the step 2 configuration and design.
