Recover of standby db with error: ORA-01157

I have added two datafiles to primary database, and somehow the standby log apply kept fail with the following errors:
SQL> SQL> ORA-00283: recovery session canceled due to errors
ORA-01111: name for data file 613 is unknown - rename to correct file
ORA-01110: data file 613: '/u0/oracle/orahome/dbs/UNNAMED00613'
ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data file 613 - see DBWR trace file
ORA-01111: name for data file 613 is unknown - rename to correct file
ORA-01110: data file 613: '/u01/oracle/orahome/dbs/UNNAMED00613'
THen I disabled standby_file_management , and try following with error:
alter database create datafile '/u01/oracle/orahome/dbs/UNNAMED00613' as '+PRD_DAT/prd/datafile/indx_02.891.793937499'
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01276: Cannot add file
+PRD_DAT/prd/datafile/indx_02.891.793937499.  File has an Oracle Managed Files file name.
How do I fix this problem?

I did exact steps in your link.
However I got stuck here:

  • Standard Data Collection Failing with Error ORA-04054: database link  does not exist.

    Hi Gurus,
    When I am running Standard Data Collection in ASCP(APS) instance R12.1.3, its failing with error : ORA-04054: database link  does not exist.
    There is no such Database link exits which is showing in above error.
    Also the database link name in the above error is not profile values in the database.
    I think, concurrent might be fetching this database link name  from some tables related to plan.
    I am not having much knowledge about how this ASCP/APS works.
    Need your help to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,

    Hi,

  • CDC Failed with Error ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision

    Hi,
    I have created Asynchronous Distributed Change Data Capture Set-up as per the Guildines from Oracle.
    Now My Change Set has become Invalid with error: ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allowed for this column.
    I Compared Change Table Structures with Source Table on Source Database and the structure is matching.
    Now I am trying to Run below script:
    Begin
    dbms_cdc_publish.alter_change_set (Change_Set_name =><<Change Set Name>>,
    recover_after_error => 'Y'
    End;
    I am getting the below error:
    ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allowed for this column
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_APPLY_ERROR", line 147
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_APPLY_ERROR", line 301

    ORA-06512: at line 1
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_CDC_PUBLISH", line 580
    ORA-06512: at line 2
    Still the error is existing, I couldn't find any issues with Change Table structure as it is in Line with Source Table Structure.
    Can anyone please help me on this.

    Also Can anyone let me know if it is possible to run CDC Set-up without DBA Privileges. i,e once the CDC Set-up is done, if we revoke the DBA Privilege will the Capture work properly. I know that for creating Change Table, Set and Source we require DBA Access. But once the set-up is done, do we really require DBA Privileges?
    Thanks,

    Hi Shashi,
    As CDC is built on top of Oracle streams framework, for better responses you can post this ques under {forum:id=70} category.
    "ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allowed for this column" is usually encountered for NUMBER datatype columns. At what level did you check the datatypes? Please confirm if the precision(for NUMBER datatype) are also similar.
    Please attach output for the following queries:
    select error_message from dba_capture;
    select error_number, error_message from dba_apply_error;Please re-validate the data types and then run the same API with remove_ddl = 'Y' option, like this:
    exec DBMS_CDC_PUBLISH.ALTER_CHANGE_SET(change_set_name=>'CHANGE_SET_NAME' , recover_after_error=>'Y' , remove_ddl=>'Y');
    Hope it helps!
    Cheers,
    AA

    Well, did you check f.i. your alert.log and other dumps?
    They will be on your server in the bdump, udump, cdump directories:
    Where to Find Files for Analyzing Errors
    Oracle records information about important events that occur in your Oracle RAC environment in trace files. The trace files for Oracle RAC are the same as those in single-instance Oracle databases. As a best practice, monitor and back up trace files regularly for all instances to preserve their content for future troubleshooting.
    Information about ORA-600 errors appear in the alert_SID.log file for each instance where SID is the instance identifier. For troubleshooting, you may need to also provide files from the following bdump locations:
    * $ORACLE_HOME/admin/db_name/bdump on UNIX-based systems
    * %ORACLE_HOME%\admin\db_name\bdump on Windows-based systems
    Some files may also be in the udump directory.
    In addition, the directory cdmp_timestamp contains in-memory traces of Oracle RAC instance failure information. This directory is located in ORACLE_HOME/admin/db_name/bdump/cdmp_timestamp, where timestamp is the time at which the error occurred.
    Trace dump files are stored under the cdmp directory. Oracle creates these files for each process that is connected to the instance. The naming convention for the trace dump files is same as for trace files, but with .trw as the file extension.

  • Propagation disabled with error ORA-25315

    Hi,
    I setup a stream replication for one schema in my db, but the propagation process suddenly disable with error message "ORA-25315 unsupported configuration for propagation of buffered messages", the schema only use some normal datatypes and I have no clue what could be the cause of it..
    Is there anyone can help?
    Thanks
    Vincent

    Is the destination database a RAC cluster? This error indicates that the database link is connecting to an instance that is not the owner of the destination queue. The Best Practices for Streams Replication section of the Streams Replication Administrator's Guide discusses the configuration for propagation to RAC

  • PROPAGATION STALLED WITH ERROR ORA-01405

    in propagation.
    Unable to stop propagation even with force => TRUE
    restarting capture and apply had no effect.
    finally dropped propagation and recreated it
    This did not help either.
    each time capture restarted it proceeded from checkpoint to a particular SCN that should be replicated and stopped when it tried to enqueue this change with the above error. The change was a part of a multi-row insert. Nothing unusual about the change that I could see by looking at the capture process trace_level 127 output.
    any thoughts. other things to look for or to try to get things moving again.

    Corrupt log is a scary thought.
    Another piece of info for this problem. I dumped the current contents of the persistent capture queue AQ$_CT_captureQueue_P. There are 25 messages sitting in there. One of the messages in the middle of the list is the last one that capture reads from redo before getting this error. From what I see wen I restart capture. It finds a multi-row insert and starts building LCRs and realizing that it has already processed them. The first one it decides to enqueue is already in the persistent queue along with several others after this one. This doesn't seem right. I'm contemplating deleting the rows from the queue to see if that gets by the problem.
    While looking around I also found 6 rows in the persistent apply queue. No relation to the ones in the capture queue. why are messages being left in the apply queue? Someone removed all the error messages so I don't know if there were any there relating to these.

    Hi,
           It solved after change permission of directory that sapdba_role.sql kept to oradev:dba after that it can write sapdba_role.log.
          Thank you for your guideline.
          Now, I can ran 'Check database' via DB13 without that error.
    Best regards,
    Choosak B.

  • Expdp fails with error ORA-39006: internal error writing on a windows share

    Hi!
    I need to get the following configuration working:
    Linux Server (CentOS 5 32 bits) with Oracle 11.2.0.1.0
    Windows Server 2003 SP2 32 bits.
    On the windows server I have created a user called oracle, who is member of oinstall and dba groups. (On Linux username, and group membership is the same).
    After that, I share a directory on D:\data_pump (I gave the full control of directory to oracle user). I mount the windows share on my linux as follows:
    mount -t cifs //winserver/data_pump /u04/oradata/data_pump -o user=oracle,password="pass",uid=oracle,gid=oinstall
    As the linux oracle user I'm capable of create and edit files, but:
    I connect to my database, create the directory called DATA_PUMP pointing to my cifs mount point, and, after that, I issue the following expdp sentence:
    expdp system DIRECTORY=DATA_PUMP DUMPFILE=test4.dmp LOGFILE=test4.log FULL=yes
    And I get the following error:
    ORA-39006: internal error
    Looking at expdp log I found the following information:
    ORA-39097: Data Pump job encountered unexpected error -31643
    ORA-39065: unexpected master process exception in FILE
    ORA-31643: unable to close dump file "/u04/oradata/data_pump/gaston4.dmp"
    ORA-19510: failed to set size of 1 blocks for file "/u04/oradata/data_pump/gaston4.dmp" (block size=4096)
    ORA-27045: unable to close the file
    Linux Error: 5: Input/output error
    Additional information: 4
    Do you have any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Impdp with error ORA-39083,ORA-00942,ORA-00959,ORA-39112,help!!!

    Hi,Friends,
    I did import a dump file, should be a schema by data pump.Got these errors:
    ORA-39083: Object type TABLE failed to create with error
    followed error:
    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    or
    ORA-00959: tablespace 'USERS2' does not exist
    ORA-39112: Dependent object type %s skipped, base object type %s creation failed ORA-39082: Object type created with compilation warnings
    Would anybody here can help me out?Thanks!

    Either pre-create the users2 tablespace in the target database, or use remap_tablespace parameter to specify the target tablespace instead of users2.
    As usual, complete syntax is in the doc - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/dp_import.htm#sthref342

    Export terminated successfully with warnings.
    When I checked the status of this package DBMS_CUBE_EXP its showing invalid. I tried to compile the body of the package. But it was throwing below error.

    I couldnt get a proper solution from google regarding this view or to compile the above package.
    Now we are stcuked without the backups. It would be great if you guys look into it.

    A week before we stopped oracle using "Shutdown abort" command. But two days before we stopped using "shutdown immediate", it went fine and system up and run fine.
    But today it stopped with this error message.
    Operating system : SOlaris 10
    I changed the parameter parameter fast_start_parallel_rollback to HIGH from LOW, but no use
    SQL> ALTER SYSTEM SET FAST_START_PARALLEL_ROLLBACK=HIGH SCOPE=BOTH;
    System altered.
    SQL> show parameter fast_start_parallel_rollback
    NAME TYPE VALUE
    fast_start_parallel_rollback string HIGH
    Usually The dead transaction will be rolled back after raising the Priority from LOW to HIGH. But this time its not rolled back. still etting the same error.
    Your answers will help to stop the oracle getting down in the LIVE production server. please share your experience guys.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Deeban

    Thanks

    I have tried dropping the package and re-compiling it but to no avail. I can compile other packages/procedures/functions without any issues.
    Also, trying to run either EXEC UTL_RECOMP.recomp_parallel(4, 'SCHEMA_NAME'); or @?/rdbms/admin/UTLRP.SQL gives the following erros:

    Hello friend..
    The error you are getting *"ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist"* may be coz you are trying to connect to your database which is already shutdown not as sysdba user but as some other user, becoz of which you are getting this error. It sometimes happen that the service of the database is already started but when you try to connect to a shutdown database as users other then sys even having the DBA priviledges you cannot connect to database.
    Try to connect as SYS user hope your problem will be resolved.
