Recovering from Missing Sync... Now can't Hotsync

I have a Centro running Palm 5.1.1 and decided to download and try out Missing Sync. I am connecting to a Macbook which has Palm Desktop. Well after a week of trying, I decided against it. It worked fine, but now I want to dump it and go back to the Palm Desktop HotSync. It says it can't establish a connection. Any pointers?

More info here. Now I got it to hotsync with Palm Desktop, but all my conduits are gone. I did a back up before installing MS, but the conduits aren't there. Help.

I hve been plauged by these sleep issues for the past few months. Mainly after i upgraded to 10.5.2
When i have my power connected and i close the lid of my computer i get no display and the display just keeps sleeping. I have to do a Hard Reboot (I hate doing those in a MAC)
After doing a Hard reboot my Console (System.log) says this

It also has entries like the one below which is scaring me as the disk it is refering to is my HDD

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

Moving from missing sync to blackberry desktop on 8330

currently using missing sync on my curve 8330. just downloaded the blackberry desktop for mac software. is there anything i should know before switching over?

1. Make sure you have all previous synchronization programs removed before you install
BlackBerry® Desktop Software for Mac.
2. BlackBerry® Desktop Software for Mac does not support synchronization with iCloud.
3. What data will you be synchronizing and what programs do you use? (Entourage, Outlook, iCal, Mac Address Book)

How to recover from a Sync command that returns a SyncStatus value 8 (Object not found)

Hello,
We are using ActiveSync protocol. We have a situation where our local DB is probably in a invalid state where we do a Sync command passing all of our folders (full sync) and one of the folder (or many) doesn't exist anymore.
The Sync command result doesn't tell us which folder is invalid.
But the question is more: how should we recover from this "Object not found" error? Should we erase the local database and do a full refresh?

Sorry, that really isn't a Firefox support issue. Contact a Mac support forum or Mac-users group for advice on to solve that issue.

Quicktime converted my video files from SD card now can't import to I movie or final cut

I was viewing video shot on a sony DSLR .. from the SD card in Mac.
I was viewing it in quicktime to find the right clip needed
Now all my clips (streams are missing and lab led as executable file.
Can anyone help me concert it back.
Final cut and Imovie do not recognize the file type.

i hv go through the doc. as well. But have some doubts what will happen in each on these situations.

- What will happen if 1 redo log file missing when starting the DB?
- What will happen if 1 redo log file missing when using(performing operations) the DB?

When I try to sync over iCloud on my iPhone 4 ,I get the message" sync will resume when brian -be904... Is available" . This is preventing me from iCloud syncing. Can anyone help me please?

Thank you Carolyn, I understand that and do use the same P/w for both the iphone and the computer and the apps were origionally for the iphone anyway, they just used to back on the computer and now they wont and the imac even cancels them off my iphone when I sync. And it says "Itunes" has made an error, try again...with the coes -54 and -50. This means I canot ack up my iphone properly.

FaceTime 1.1 deleted from Lion and now can't get it back! Help!

I deleted Facetime as thought it wasnt working and could just download it from the mac store. Now i realise it was apples servers messing it up and now dont have Facetime and cannot download it from the apple store as they only provide 1.0.2 version and Lion comes with 1.1 Can someone send me the App? or give me any help without downloading Lion again beause i have a very slow internet connection. I was told that i can use Lion recovery and use the Reinstall Mac OS X option i can do it that way but it will download it all again first but will that do a new install or just replace the current setup?

When I upgraded to Lion the only issues I had was facetime didn't work, and IPhoto would hang with the dreadful beach ball spinning. LOL!
I removed facetime three time installed Lion with the installer, booted from HD into recovery, and from a DVD without any problems. The DVD took one hour to install.
The problem with Facetime on my system was the host file (fixed), and IPhoto fixed itself after three hangs with a reboot.
The lion is running smooth now.

Gmail calendar not syncing, now can't set up

Hi,
I'm on my second Playbook. I physically broke the last one (sniff). I had the gmail calendar sync working when I set it up in early Feb, but I noticed yesterday that it wasn't syncing anymore. Before anyone asks, I do have the latest OS.
I did some digging and here are my steps so far:
I was getting an error message when I double checked the settings and password for the account and clicked save. Email and contacts work correctly.
I checked the URL in my computer browser to see if I could get to it from my network. I used https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/events and after typing in my user and password, the file downloaded correctly. Opening it in notepad showed it was the right file and contained my calendar data in CalDAV format.
I then tried deleting and re-adding my gmail account. That's when I got this error: "Account Gmail - <my email address> - <my email address> failed testing with current settings." So I no longer have access to my gmail calendar or any of the entries that were there, because I already deleted the account.
I even tried KB33093 and that did not work for me either.
Is there something else I can try or is that it until the next OS update?
Note: I have a workaround by syncing my gmail calendar with a hotmail calendar and connecting to that on my playbook. It works, but it's not ideal as I can't edit the gmail calendar which is my main calendar.
Update: I was able to download the file at https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/events after typing in my user and password. A posting on another board thought that maybe the Playbook was being blocked by Google, this proves that it is not.

I think you are misinformed. According to Google: "Google Sync uses Microsoft® Exchange ActiveSync® to let your users synchronize their Google Apps mail, contacts, and calendars to their mobile devices." Here's the link. That is the service that has been converted to CalDAV for calendars, imap for Gmail and CardDAV for contacts. Hotmail/Outlook are ActiveSync as you say. I can't see Microsoft not using their own product, lol.
I don't think my friend would be willing to delete his accout and restart, lol. His PB is working after all

SBS2011 Recovered from Missing SYSVOL and NETLOGON; looking for original cause - not restore related

Call from client that they couldn't login to their shares. Connected to the server and found SYSVOL and NETLOGON missing. This has happened 3 times on this server 2014-01-06, 2014-03-26, and 2014-06-04. Although I have documentation and can restore quickly,
preventing is out primary goal.
What are the situation is which tis might happen and possible event log items that can give us a warning that this may take place.

Searched more for SYSVOL NETLOGON Repeat. I excluded the C:\Windows\sysvol directory from Anti-virus scan to prevent locks. Links are below.Thank you,

Since the PDC server was in Journal Wrap errors state and new DC was not having sysvol share avaialbe to fix the issue you need to first take the backup of sysvol and perfrom D4(authorative restore) and D2(non authorative restore) to fix the issue.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290762/
Also your first step should be finding why JRNL_WRAP_ERROR error has occurred. Normally, JRNL_WRAP_ERROR occurs due to drive/partition being corrupted, antivirus locking and corrupting the file during sysvol scan, heavy size of the files inside
sysvol and netlogon shares.
Run chkdsk in read only mode for any errors and if issue reported take the backup of server and run chkdsk/f.Exclude the sysvol/nrtds/sysvol from AV scan too.To fix the Journal wrap perfrom authorative restore assuming you have single DC.See below link too.

Since you have restored the DC to previous state check the health of DC by running dcdiag /q and also check event log for any errors and warning and post the same if any.

Downloaded coupon from shopathome and now can't get onto the internet how do I remove it

In order to get access to download coupons I had to upload their information and toolbar which is visible on my problem loading page from Mozilla. I was able to get this far by going into windows safe mode.
I can not get on line by Internet Explorer or MSN. The address is correct. I fear that a virus maybe backdoor or simply the ShopAtHome site has locked me out of the internet. All other computers in the home work on the internet. Is there a way to go back before I downloaded this or is there a way to delete it

After Software Update/iphone sync, now can't open itunes

I guess I have corrupted itunes. I was updating itunes software and tried to sync my iphone at the same time. Now when I try to open itunes, I get message "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed". I then tried to remove and re-install the software and it won't let me remove it. When I try and remove it, I get a message "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable". Any help would be appreciated.

You will need to look iTunes rather than Quicktime.
If any other programs are referred to in the same way when trying to install iTunes clean them up in a similar way.

Downgraded OS from Mavericks and now can't open iPhoto library.

Updated to Mavericks which made my machine unusable. Consequently reinstalled 10.8.5, and now I can't open iPhoto Library without updating to Mavericks again and installing latest version of iPhoto. Any ideas how to make my iPhoto library compatible with iPhoto 7.1.5?

If it were me, I would be addressing why Mavericks did not seem to work.
Your machine easliy meets the minimum system requirements to run Mavericks and simply buying more RAM is not a valid fix for your reported issue.
If you are really determined to stay on Mountain Lion but now have an incompatible iPhoto library you could try a workaround -
- Right click on the iPhoto Library, choose Show package contents, look for a "Masters" folder. All your original pics are located within this folder.
- Hold down the alt key, whilst doing this, click the iPhoto icon on your dock and choose to create new to create a new "empty" iPhoto library
- Go back to your Masters Folder and Drag individual folders accross into the already open iPhoto to import them. Each folder you drag in will be treated as an "event"
Having said all this, I would really be trying to upgrade to Mavericks again first before trying a "messy" workaround.
Why not let us know what happened after you upgraded before trying this?
