Recreating database where repository is located

Do to the way a database was migrated from one server to another i need to recreate a database to remove internal references to the old server. this database contains the owb repository. i am planning to take a full export, drop the database, recreate the database and do an import.
is anyone aware of any issues with this? ...i.e. dbid stored somewhere in the repository?

well...things didn't go as planned.
datapump errored out when i did a full export with the following:
ORA-39125: Worker unexpected fatal error in KUPW$WORKER.UNLOAD_METADATA while calling DBMS_METADATA.FETCH_XML_CLOB [PROCOBJ:"STRAIN"."STRAIN_OPT_INDEX_JOB"]

  • Where is PGA located?

    Hi Anyone can help me
where is PGA located in dedicated and shared server?

PGA (process global area or private global area) is memory that is allocated to the server process. This is always true. It's memory that is private to the server process, and is not shared at all.
The difference between dedicated and shared server comes with regard to the UGA (user global area). UGA is the session state. It's memory that contains information related to the current session. In dedicated server, where there's a one-to-one relationship between process and session, the UGA is a sub-heap of the PGA. However, in the case of shared server, anytime a session is active, (i.e., not idle, in the process of making a database call) it could be associated with any arbitrary server process. So, in this case, the UGA can't be in the PGA, cause if it was, a session would lose it's state between database calls, when the session got assigned to a different server process. So, in the case of shared server, the UGA heap is allocated in the SGA (in the large pool). This way, it's available for the session, regardless of which server process is currently servicing the session.
    Hope that helps,

As I understand it, Apple gets your location from the wi-fi router to which your iPod is connected.  Location Services identifies the router and then checks for its location in Apple's database.  If the router has been recently relocated or if there is a glitch in Apple's database, you will get an incorrect location.  I don't think that there is anything you can do about it.  You could send Apple a message about the error, but I doubt if they would do anything about it.

  • Recreating the Management Repository Failed

    Hi,
I tried to recreat the Management Repository with no luck.
    Oracle 11g R2 on RHLinux 5
Dropping the repository finished with no problem using the following command:
    ./RepManager rac1 1521 ron_1 -sys_password **** -action drop -repos_user sysman
    Creating the repository failed:
    ./RepManager rac1 1521 ron_1 -sys_password qwer5 -action create -repos_user sysman
Following link is the output of executing the script:
    http://www.ahmedbaraka.com/temp/repmgroutput.txt
    Any hint is appreciated.
I wish I once tried something new in Oracle and it went smoothly without a problem!

I think you found the solution for your previous post? ORA-12505 after implementing RAC One Node
However recreating the repository did not work (completely).
Do you have any info on this in the alert log/xml file?
Since you are on a one node RAC you may have to consider it as a cluster. See note How to manage DB Control 11.1.0.x for RAC Database with emca [ID 578011.1]

If you mean the hexidecimal equivalent of the alphanumeric password, then you can find this via the AirPort Utility, as follows:
AirPort Utility > Select the AirPort > Manual Setup
On the AirPort Utility's menubar select Base Station > Equivalent Network Password

  • In iPhoto '11 where are movies located?

In iPhoto '11 where are movies located?  When we download photos & movies, they aren't apparent in the "Lst 12 months" & "Library" areas.  They show up as spearate groupings in the "Last Import" but not in the History.  Thanks.

Movies are stored in Events, like photos.
they show up as spearate groupings in the "Last Import"
Select a movie in Last Import and Right-Click on it. Choose 'Show Event' from the menu. This will bring you to the Event containing the movie.
If the photo or movie is in Last Import, then it is in the Library somewhere,  just not where you expect it to be. Usual causes: the date on your camera is wrong, and so the date on the photo is wrong, or the sorting of the Events has changed (View Menu -> Sort Events)

I seem to also encounter this issue. Basically I am trying to do the same thing, automate a restore of a mailbox database to an offsite storage location for DR purposes. Seems to fail with the null error too. The only difference is I am using DPM 2012 R2

  • SQL Server two database at two different locations

    Hi Guys,
We are having same database at two different locations (Database A with Sqlserver 2008/Express, database B with Sqlserver 2012).
Our requirement is when ever a row is inserted in a table of Database A from location 1. Same value should also be added in Server 2 at different location.
So that at any point of time both the database base values should be same.
Which is the best method to do it ?

Could you please give more information about the editions of SQL Server? Is SQL 2012 express as well?
Do you also need udpates/deletes to be moved to another server? Also do you want changes in SQL 2012 to be moved to 2008 as well?
With Express edition you have very limited options.

i'm getting this warning, but i dont know where is it located.please let me know, where should i rectify this?
WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

    Hello,
This seems not related to SQL Server but more related to Fusion or a missing DLL. The following resources may help you:
    http://blog.mediawhole.com/2010/08/enable-fusion-assembly-binding-logging.html
    http://jamesecampbell.blogspot.com/2011/11/how-to-enable-assembly-binding-logging.html

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5986930/assembly-binding-logging-is-turned-off
Please verify if a missing DLL is specified before the "WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF" message.
    Hope this helps.
