Redirect Mobile Browsers to Alternate URL.

I have weblogic 10.3 in place currently and I would like to redirect mobile browsers to an alternate URL. What is the best way to accomplish this?
Thanks

Hi,Johnathan,
Are the other phones Windows Phone?If not please make sure you have input the correct format of user information when connect.
Did you connect the Lync mobile using automatic connection or manual connection?
When you use automatic discovery, mobile devices use DNS to locate resources. During the DNS lookup, a connection is first attempted to the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) that is associated with the internal DNS record (lyncdiscoverinternal.<internal
domain name>). If a connection cannot be made by using the internal DNS record, a connection is attempted by using the external DNS record (lyncdiscover.<sipdomain>). However, both the internal Mobility Service URL and the external Mobility
Service URL are associated with the external Web Services FQDN. So the Lync mobile will connect to the external web service regardless it connect internally or externally which is just on the oppsite of your scenario.
I doubt there should be something wrong with your DNS record or the publishing rule ,would you pleae double check them?
Besides,please enable diagnose log on your phone and the other phone then send the log file to your email and compare them to find out the difference for troubleshooting.

  • Typekit won't work in mobile browsers

    I have a Typekit set up for website embedding and it works great in desktop/laptop browsers. However, mobile browsers won't display the Adobe font, and default to standard sans-serif. In the kit settings I've checked "enable" on all mobile options, but still no luck.
    Anyone else have this problem?

  • Scrolling issues in mobile Browsers

    it seems that anything related to scrolling or changing the size of any of the columns or the gantt chart is not possible/very difficult with touch mobile browsers (tried chrome, firefox, and the default android internet browser)  all of these browsers
    can scroll through other scrollable places online easily, is there something I can change or enable to get them to work better on the project web app site?

    Scrolling is an issue on a PC. The scrolling engine goes way to fast for modern processors. The Office apps are just now being updated for touch control, so I think you'll need to wait a bit longer for Project to be touch enabled.

  • [Killing flash for mobile browsers] Flash Developers of all countries unite!

    As a self-proclaimed member of Flash Platform Society, following saddening events of these days, I feel obliged to write several words to all those willing to hear. It is hard to bear the loss of someone dear, someone we can rely on, but we have to be brave and respond to all the threats by facing the terrible truth:  Our dear Platform, the one we have commited our lives, will never be the same echosystem without the support for the latest mobile browsers.
    But we have to be brave and say it loudly. We have to wear it as a badge of honour, since all other tools and facilites will benefit greatly from this decision as they will treated with greater care by our beloved companies.
    Yes, undoubtedly hard times are about to come for us. We may be mocked by other faiths, their mercenaries, prophets and martyrs (all combinations allowed). They will tell us that all is lost. That whole Platform will collapse along with the mobile browsers. They will ask when we intend to abandon what was already abandoned by all.
    But it has happened before when some influential people has revealed their mistaken beliefs publically. And we have survived! We may be spiritually-persecuted, we may be unpopular, but eventually we will triumph!
    And for all those who stand with me: If I should fall wrap my body in Flash Platform banners!
    Sursum corda!
    Devoted Developer

    I don't think it's going to die.  Perhaps Adobe's just not updating the Flash Player anymore for mobile browsers.  I mean, what's there to update?  It's stable enough as it is.  Adobe's trying to improve AIR instead to enhance not just its features for developers benefit but to the market as well.
    More power to Flash!!!

    Hi All,
    Is there any option available to make Weblogic Portal Pages compatible with Mobile Browsers & IPad Browsers.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    No, you don't need Office installed. That's the whole idea. Go to File > Export & choose Word (or text, rtf or pdf). The option to "save as" Word has been added in Pages 4/iWork '09 as well as in export.

    Hello,
    We currently have an IIS server hosting a web application for internal network. Let's say the server FQDN is abc.contoso.local and the application name is app01. I would normally access the site with this URL: http://abc:81/app01
    I would like to be able to access the website using this: http://app01.contoso.com
    We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 environment. Could someone please help me out over this; I initially thought this should be easy enough but I've been breaking my head on it ever since.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Redirecting all pages from old URL to index page of new URL

    Hello everybody..
    I have an Apache configuration question, can't work out the procedure in Server Admin.
    Basically I have a website at "oldurl.com". In Server Admin, I have the site set to serve a PHP file which runs a 301 redirect to "newurl.com". Works nicely.
    Trouble is, if somebody requests "oldurl.com/somepage", the 301 redirect does not function.
    I need all pages on "oldurl.com" to forward to the homepage of "newurl.com".
    I suspect I need to type something into the "URL Aliases and Redirects" pane in Server admin, and some sort of wildcard, but I'm stumped. I have read about fiddling with the .htaccess file, but surely this is not necessary?
    Hope you can help. Thank you!

    To give a more detailed (and just possibly relevant) example of what koncept's talking about, suppose you wanted to redirect browsers from any page on the old domain to a corresponding page on the new domain (e.g. http://oldurl.com/this/that/theother.html would redirect to http://newurl.com/this/that/theother.html, rather than just http://newurl.com/). You'd make a rule in the oldurl.com site like this:
    Type: RedirectMatch
    Pattern: (.*)$
    Path: http://newurl.com$1
    The .* matches zero or more anythings, the $ matches the end of the url (to make sure we get the whole thing, not just part of it), and the parentheses capture the match so we can use it in the redirect path as $1. Note that the pattern is matched against the path part of the original url (i.e. "/this/that/theother.html" in the example I gave earlier), so we can just tack it onto the new domain name and we're set.

  • ADF Authorization for ADF Mobile:Configuring Access Control URL for ADF App

    Can someone explain, how to expose weblogic user roles as a Rest Json Api? Basically I want to set up Access Control URL to authorize users on adf mobile.

    Hi Frank,
    This is what I did. Could you please let me know if I am doing it right.
    1. Created an adf application with a simple page and applied security basic http authentication.
    2. Added a rest service implementation in the same application, changed the adf application web.xml as below
    <servlet-mapping>
       <servlet-name>jersey</servlet-name>
       <url-pattern>/jersey/*</url-pattern>
      </servlet-mapping>
    3. When I test the rest service in browser, it asks to log in and returns the user roles. Below is my rest implementation
    @POST
    @Produces(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON)
    public User getMessag3() throws Exception {
    return new User();}
    the rest service returns the logged in user roles in below json format.
    {"userid":"susant","roles":["SSBAccessGroup","authenticated-role","SSBAccessApp","anonymous-role"],"priviledges":[]}
    Do I need to implement anything on the ADF mobile side or I can just add the rest service url to the authorization tab. Will adf mobile automatically handle sending the http request.
    Actually I just added the rest service url to adfm-applications connections authorization tab and I am getting ACS failed error after log in.
    Thanks

  • ADF Redirect Programmatically to a TaskFlow URL with Parameters

    JDeveloper 11.1.2.0
    I've been working on a redirect scenario where the url parameters gets passed along with it. Initially, i was successful in doing so by using Andrejus's tips to redirect the page.
    http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2007/10/security-in-oracle-adf-and-automatic.html
    So I thought I'd take it to the next level by doing the same thing but this time through a taskflow URL. To do this, I tried building a taskflow URL using :
    ControllerContext.getInstance().getTaskFlowURL(false, new TaskFlowId(tfDoc,tfId),params);
    Unfortunately, the ViewHandler.createView was only meant for pages defined in unbounded taskflow... but i thought I'd give it a try hehe. So i tried something else this time using F. Nimphius approach by using ExternalContext redirect.
    http://blogs.oracle.com/jdevotnharvest/entry/how_to_efficiently_redirect_an
    Now the main difference i notice between the two is that Andrejus's approach was able to redirect all the parameters i defined on the initial page while the ExternalContext route was removing the parameters upon building of the url through getGlobalViewActiivityUrl(String).
    Also, the documentation specified that it could only target a page defined in an unbounded taskflow. So definitely, redirecting to a taskflow was not possible in that scenario.
    Close to hitting a dead end on this one, I wonder if anyone has other suggestions as to the redirect to a bounded taskflow scenario.
    Ow, my usecase for this is that i'd like to offer our users the ability to just type
    http:<server>\faces\App?parameter1=myvalidparameter
    Then i'll basically redirect him to the bounded taskflow and i'll be setting all the input parameters to be passed in the bounded taskflow as well.

    Hehe scratch that... my bad, i've set a parameter to be required on the taskflow. So after defining the parameters and calling a redirect, everything worked fine.
    Just to share the code:
    private String getTaskFlowTestURL()
         String tfId = "main-flow-index";
         String tfDoc = "/WEB-INF/main-flow-index.xml";
         Map<String, Object> params = new HashMap<String, Object>();
         params.put( "inputParam", "myValue1234" );
         TaskFlowId taskFlowId = new TaskFlowId( tfDoc, tfId );
         String url = ControllerContext.getInstance().getTaskFlowURL( false, taskFlowId, params );
         return url;
    private void redirectToTaskflowTest()
         FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
         ExternalContext ectx = fctx.getExternalContext();
         try
         ectx.redirect( this.getTaskFlowTestURL() );
         } catch ( IOException e )
         e.printStackTrace();
    }

  • Urgent: How to redirect  Portal to an external URL on logoff using iViews?

    Hi,
    Please help me with the below query-
    We need to redirect the Portal to an external URL on logoff.
    i) But, the Portal is a shared service we cannot make use of the exit URL functionality in the Portal.
    ii) Only for one service we need to redirect the URL
    Can it be done by changing the Masthead iView - LogoffConfirmMsg.jsp ?
    I am new to portal, please help urgently.
    Cheers
    Anish

    Hi Anish,
    I was just going through the code:
    You may need to try this:
    In Logoffconfirmmessage.jsp there is a java script function called logoff()
    function logoff()
            if (EPCM.getUAType() == EPCM.MSIE)
                window.returnValue = 'logoff';
            else
                window.opener.logoff();
            closeWindow();
    What you could do here is place that code just before closeWindow()
    Yes, you could try window.top.location.href="http://.......";
    Try this and let me know because I have a feeling that this will change the URL of the confirm message. Not sure though...
    Hope this helped.

  • Webdispathcer redirection for HTTPS/ Block certain URL in HTTPS

    Hi All,
    I've a Webdispatcher connected to EP7.0. I've implemented End to End SSL for the portal.
    The portal URL works with both http and https.
    I've redirected certain links like /index.html to /irj/portal/anonymous
    I also have permissions.txt file in webdispatcher which blocks certain links like /sld and /nwa etc.
    But these redirection and wdisp/permission_table parameter works only for HTTP.
    For HTTPS these redirection and blocking doesnt work.
    How to block these sensitive links /sld, /nwa for HTTPS also?
    Regards,
    Karthik Vembu
    Edited by: Michael Nicholls on Apr 7, 2009 9:39 AM

    Now I understand. I don't believe this can be done by the web dispatcher with E2E SSL as the web dispatcher doesn't look at the URL . I think you will need a real reverse proxy to hide these URLs.
    I suppose the question is why you are worried about people starting those applications through the web dispatcher. The user's Java permissions are a more reliable way of stopping them running them, not hiding the URL. You need to be aware that apps like /nwa can also be started with a longer URL that starts the web dynpro app directly...

  • Redirect public DNS record to url

    I am looking for advise as to what to do. I want to take my mail.xxxx.com record and point it to a url such as http://something.some.thing/mail
    Is this possible to do? It seems like I should be able to do this somehow.
    cheers

    Sounds like you're getting a little confused. There is no correlation between a DNS host entry and a URL - you can't have a DNS record that points to 'http://something.somewhere.net/mail'.
    What you can do is point your DNS entry to an IP address of a server that's running a web server. Now when users enter your hostname in a web browser they'll connect to this server.
    You then configure the web server to automatically redirect to /mail if that's where you want the user to end up. The process would be something like:
    DNS: mail.somewhere.net -> x.x.x.x
    Server x.x.x.x runs a web server.
    Web server redirect / requests to /mail
    Now a user can enter http://mail.somewhere.net/ and end up talking to http://mail.somewhere.net/mail/ thanks to the web server, not the DNS server.
    To do this you'd add a line like:
    Redirect / /mail/
    to your web site configuration.

  • Redirect - Get == Annoying parameters on url

    Hi everyone.
    I have a web site with php deployed on Apache Web Server and a web app deployed on Apache Tomcat.
    I want to redirect from an Action (struts servlet) to web sites php file with some request params. But when I do the redirect, my browser does a GET request, showing all the params in the url. Theres anyway I could redirect with POST method with header params? I think forward is not a good idea because the url must be inside my app context to do that.
    Ty.

    You could cheat and instead of doing a redirect return a JSP that contains a form with hidden fields populated with the parameter values. At the end of the page (or an onLoad event) you have JavaScrit that automatically submits the form with the php as the action.
    Of course the client will need to have JavaScript enabled.
