Redirect using EPG?

I'm using APEX 3.1.2 on *11.x* with the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway *(EPG)*, not Oracle HTTP Server. Is there a way to redirect requests for the base URL to an APEX app? When someone enters http://some-domain.com, I want that to redirect to http://some-domain.com/apex/f?p=102. I know how to do this with OHS using mod_rewrite, but the architecture of this app is extremely XDB centric so we're using the EPG.
I thought I remembered an example of this, but after a lot of searching, I couldn't find it.

As far as I know there is no redirect capability in the EPG. One thing you might try is to create a DAD for the root directory of the web server, e.g. "/" and then set the default-page attribute to your app/page. I believe you would use the standard f?p=100:101 kind of syntax.

HAP_DOCUMENT BSP redirect using the BADI HRHAP00_BSP_TMPL

Hi all,
Below is my issue:
Last year, We have modified the BSP HAP_DOCUMENT by copying it to Y_HAP_DOCUMENT. Now we had to make further changes to the BSP which had to be template specific.
So we used the BADI HRHAP00_BSP_TMPL to redirect the document to a new BSP Y_HAP_DOCUMENT_V1.
The iviews are pointing to the BSP Y_HAP_DOCUMENT, but when the BADI is hit its getting redirected to the V1 BSP.
But the issue is that whenever the redirect BSP is used, the error messages are getting killed.
Please let me know if anyone had a similar issue and if they were able to solve the issue.

Sorry that i got back to you this late. Have you solved the issue?
whenever we redirect using the badi for hap_document the control starts from layout_alternative.htm view instead of the layout_sap_standard.htm. So if you copy paste the code from the sap standard view you will be able to redirect it.

Http - http redirection using header-field rule

Is it possible to configure an http -> http redirection using header-field rules if the CSS is NOT performing the SSL encryption/decryption ?
We can get the redirect working not using the header-field rule but not with it configured.

The header-field rule works to redirect the http traffic to a specific service, but we also want the header-field rule config under the port 443 content rule.
Can the CSS see the header or is it encrypted ?

I am currently building a site from scratch with Dreamweaver, with the intent of replacing my current website layout that was designed using Intuit's website builder. My dreamweaver site is not online, but i have setup a local test server on my computer, using XAMPP, and i have an apache server with a MySQL database and a mercury mailserver running. I mention that in case it makes a difference in your answers. If necessary, I can include those settings, but that may be asking too much.

ABAP webdynpro app not redirecting using Outbound plug in portal

Scenario-
There is one Abap webdynpro application APP1 calling another abap webdynpro component Comp 2 through outbound plug on a button click. This is working fine if service is tested independantly.
SAP ECC system is having a webispatcher and the application should be accessed using webdipatcher only i.e. ECC should not be called directly.
SSL has been configured b/w ECC and webdipatcher.
The Abap webdynpro application APP1 is integrated into portal using Abap webdynpro iview.
Setting in Portal system are reffering to Webdipatcher for ECC system instead of ECC system directly.
Issue-
App1 is loading successfully into portal and all the data is coming properly but when trying to navigate to second component on button click it is not navigating. iview is getting refreshed but not redirecting to required component and is still on the same application.
Please suggest the reasons and solutions if anyone has clue about it.

Issue with redirection using Document ID

Hi All,
I have a library with unique permission set, if a user who does not have access to the library tries to access a URL which has the document id (https://domainname/sites/Test1/_layouts/15/DocIdRedir.aspx?ID=UMZ2EEKCF25S-37-4), it gives the following message
"No documents with the
ID UMZ2EEKCF25S-37-4
were found in this site collection" eventhough the item exist in the site collection. After giving View Only permission level to the user for the library, the DOC ID url gives access denied message as expected but the user get permission to View all the
items in the library
We have built a SP search based solution using DOC ID for redirection to a particular item in the library. It is misleading if it shows
"No document with the ID found".
Please help me on this.

The issue is if a User who does not have permission (Permission is None, have set unique permission level) to access to a Library item with the Document ID, then it gives the message "No
documents with the ID UMZ2EEKCF25S-37-4were
found in this site collection" though the Item exists in the Site/Library. This message is quite misleading since the item actually exists in the Site.
I expect the message to be
"Access denied".
If I give user the permission
"View Items - View
items in lists and documents in document libraries",
then it gives access denied message. If I give the permission "Open Items - View the source of documents with server-side file handlers."
then it actually opens the Item.

ISE 1.2 Redirect using CWA Wireless

Once a wireless user is authenticated to a WLAN using CWA and ISE, what are the parameters that can cause the user to be deauthenticated and redirected to the web portal? The session timeout and user idle timeout in this scenario are set to 24 hours. What else could cause the user to be redirected to the portal?

Its a wireless controller bug. You will have to get an engineering build from Cisco to resolve.

JSTL: c:redirect using Post

I am trying to find some documentation as to how I can redirect to a different jsp page using post method. What I am trying to acheieve is hide the parameters in the URL for the destination page. This is very critical.

Ok, understood.
What you are specifying here is pretty standard stuff. Do some processing and then display success or failure.
Is there any reason not to use a jsp:forward instead of a c:redirect?
Given a choice, jsp:forward is always preferred, as it doesn't involve a round trip back to the client, and most of the time you are navigating to a relative page on the server (jsp:forward doesn't work for links in different servers)
Will all the processing take place before onLoad is called ? Please correct me if I wrong. All JSP processing occurs before the page is even dispatched back to the client.
Of course most of the time you just want to generate the page and send it back to the client.
The only point of doing it this way including the javascript onload event to submit a form is to hide the parameters on the form as you were requesting.

How does one send a redirect response to a new window or tab of a browser?
Currently forwarding to a new URL with AOL function in a controller class using pageContext.sendRedirect("Initialize.jsp?queryString1="value"&OAFunc=UI...")

Unless I'm missing something that's not what I'm looking for. I know how to open a pdf using Reader. I'm talking about opening a pdf directly off of a website to open in reader and not in Chrome. There used to be a box in edit>preferences that you could check/uncheck if you wanted to open the file in the browser or not.
This solution I believe is File>Open then select the pdf I'd want to view.

TNS Refuse error after Redirect using RAC

First off, I'm using the JDBC driver 10.2.0.4.0 with the "10g data store helper" selected in WebSphere against a 10g database configured for RAC.
I don't have the configuration details for the database, but can get them if needed.
WebSphere JDBC string:
jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION =(ENABLE=BROKEN)(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <FQDN-VIP1>)(PORT = 1521))(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <FQDN-VIP2>)(PORT = 1521))(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <FQDN-VIP3>)(PORT = 1521))(LOAD_BALANCE = YES)(CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME = <SN>)))
Here are the TNS sequence of events for the connection failure:
1) WebSphere makes a TNS Connect request to <FQDN-VIP3> using the data string:
"(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=<FQDN-VIP3>)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(CID=(PROGRAM=)(HOST=__jdbc__)(USER=))(SERVER=DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=<SN>)))"
[I can only guess that the driver comes up with this based on the WebSphere string]
2) <FQDN-VIP3> responds with a TNS Redirect:
"(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=<HOSTNAME-VIP1>)(PORT=1521))"
[FYI - the redirects respond with a hostname instead of FQDN, but the hostnames are resolvable by our WebSphere server]
3) WebSphere makes a TNS Connect request to <FQDN-VIP1> using the data string provided in the redirect:
"(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=<HOSTNAME-VIP1>)(PORT=1521))"
4) <FQDN-VIP1> Refuses the connection with the following error string:
"(DESCRIPTION=(ERR=1153)(VSNNUM=169870336)(ERROR_STACK=(ERROR=(CODE=1153)(EMFI=4)(ARGS='(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=<HOSTNAME-VIP1>)(PORT=1521))'))(ERROR=(CODE=305)(EMFI=1))))"
This happens every time we receive a redirect back from the database.
If the JDBC driver is going to use the Redirect connection string verbatim then it seems like the Redirect string should also contain a SID or SERVICE_NAME specification. Or, is the driver supposed to perform this function (rewrite the redirect), but isn't?
Any help in determining what is causing this issue is greatly appreciated.

Printer redirection using RDP ActiveX on Windows 8.1

I am using RDP ActiveX to connect to RDP server. Printer redirection is not happening with Windows 8.1 using RDP ActiveX.
Using MSTSC application printer redirection happens properly.
It works fine with all OS except Windows 8.1.
Windows 8.1 uses ActiveX 6.3.9600.
This happens with Windows 7 also when ActiveX is upgraded to 6.3.9600
Server is not installing Easy print when RDP ActiveX is used but works fine with MSTSC application.
I tired to use the interfaces, IMsRdpClient5, IMsRdpClient7, IMsRdpClient8 and IMsRdpClient9 but did not find any success.
Any help on this will be appreciated.

when submitted I want to be redirected to another "page". I

have one page, an admin.php page, with one of the div's named

It uses the HTML content variable to replace the include file

Thanks for the pointer, I'll use $_GET instead. This is a
password
protected area that is only accessible to trusted users with
admin
privileges, so I would think they would be safe. However, on
the public
side I'll consider creating an allowable list for all HTML
variables.
