REDISTRIBUTION WORKLOAD REPORT

Hi  All
have you ever extracted this REPORTING WORKLOAD in the redistribution menu.
What exactly this report gives to the business usuage? assume that i have connected with BW ?
Why BW report shows in SRM box?
How to activate this report:- Workload report is not active? I do have BW system . how can achieve this?
i am in Define logical systems and template names for BW reports.
WORKLOAD_REPORT1 Workload Reporting 0TPL_BBP_PO_Q005_V02
which logical system i should give ? SRM or BW ?
aNY GUIDANCE IS APPRECIATED.
Muthu

Hello Muthu,
BW reports will be shown in SRM Box if the corresponding BW roles for SRM are integrated with SRM roles.
You might to activate the corresponding datasource of this in SRM.
And since you have to connect the source system to BW, I think you have to define SRM system as logical system in BW.

    Hello All
I create a shoping cart and cart went to ERROR IN PROCESS. and if i looked to to REDISTRIBUTION OF WORKLOAD search a requirement s(shopping cart) , why this ERROR IN PROCESS cart shows as COMPLETED (TICK GREEN MARK) .  no one touched (i.e no Buyer completed a cart) . Why this cart shows as COMPLETED state.
Note 1164862 - Wrong Shopping Cart Status in 'Redistribute Workload'
Shopping Carts with status 'HELD' shown in transaction 'Redistribute Workload' with status 'COMPLETED'.
I am looking for the sap note for below problem
Shopping Carts with status 'ERROR IN PROCESS' shown in transaction 'Redistribute Workload' with status 'COMPLETED'.
    Y Sourcing is completed.=SOURCE_REL_I ="Y" . but EROR IN PROCESS sc set as SOURCE_REL_I = ' '.
Y Sourcing is completed - It can be shown as GREEN TICK MARK in redistribution workload.
Why the ERROR IN PROCESS cart shows as COMPLETED .though my indicator is just SPACE

  • Redistribution of workload

    Key Words: Redistribution, Workload, Buyer
    Version: SRM 4.0 with R/3 4.6 backend
I was trying out the Redistribution of workload and a issue came up.
A SC was created and approved and a requisition was replicate (or created) in the R/3 backend.  The SC and the requisition is assigned to a buyer (Purchasing Group), say buyer 190.  Then I logon as a buyer and choose the Redistribute Workload.  I pick the SC item and "Assign Manually" the Purchasing Group assignment from buyer 190 to buyer 215.  I then rand BBP_GET_STATUS_2 to updated the SC.  The SC now has a Purchasing Group of 215.  This is expected.  However, when I go to the backend and look at hte requisition in the backend, the Purch. Grp is still 190.
What am I doing wrong?  What do I need to do?  Can Purchasing Group of SAP requisitions be change from EBP?
    Thank you,
    Naing

    Dear Poster,
As no response has been provided to the thread in some time I must assume the issue is resolved, if the question is still valid please create a new thread rephrasing the query and providing as much data as possible to promote response from the community.

  • Workload Function module....

    Hi all,
I am trying to prepare a workload report. But the report does not display transactions like SE38 and SA38.
I am using the following function module:
    SAPWL_WORKLOAD_GET_STATISTIC
Can some one suggest some other function module or any other means wherein I can get details of these two transactions as well in my report.
    Thanks in advance
    CMV

Yes I am aware od STAT. But my requirment is to develop a custom program to display what all transactions are being accessed by various users in a server in a date range.
    Can you help?

  • DBACockpit - Generate AWR reports not visible

    Hello,
i have read the "SAP on Oracle Development Update":
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a07754d4-edd4-2910-0683-c9473aaeca51
On page page 27 is a screenshot of the possibility to generate AWR reports out of DBACOCKPIT.
I have an ABAP system on SAP_BASIS 7.00 with Patchlevel 15 (SAPKB70015) but i can not see this menu option. I only have the "Active Session History" but no "Workload Reporting".
As described in sapnote #1028068 the monitored database is a local one and the licenses are purchased by SAP. The note also describes that the function should be available with SP12.
What's wrong? Have you already checked your system for this point?
    Regards
    Stefan

    Hello Stefan, Hello Bill,
we had the same problem. In 7.00 SP12 you can select the option, in SP15 it is not visible. We opened a customer message and were told, that there were some irritations arount the license of Oracle Diagnostic Pack, so SAP deactivated it in DBACOCKPIT/SP15. This is no problem any longer (note 1028068).
In later SPs you can set an option (have look at note 1136582 / 1250596), but in SP15 you have to modify the source code. Unfortunately SAP isn't able to ship this via snote. In this case it might be better to open a customer message to get a detailed information.

  • Workload distribution above SMP

Hi to all sdn's people, i have a question about the workload distribution above SMP.
    My infrastructure is composed by:
    HW
2 IBM xseries server ( 1 for C.I. and 1 for DB) each with:
    8 GB ram
    (16 GB swap)
3 Intel Xeon quadcore processsor 2.66GHz ( so in total 12 core hypothetically available)
    OS
SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 (x86_64)
    VERSION = 9
    PATCHLEVEL = 3
    SAP
    4.6 C
    DB
    Oracle  9.2.0.6.0 (64 bit version)
    HA
    provided with SteelEye LifeKeeper
    Storage
Provided by an IBM FC SAN with 2GBit bandwidth.
I examine the beavior during long time computing
(like LIS recostruction, custom ABAP program, and so on), with the top command (using the interactive "switch" 1 and I for a better point of view) simultaneously in the two server.
Usually, this jobs work on low weight time (such as during night or weekend), but i note that in DB server only 1 (one) core at time is used during , the other stay in idle for other computing request.
So if for the custom ABAP program, the resolution it may be provided with cleverness like
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/snippets/easily%2bimplement%2bparallel%2bprocessing%2bin%2bonline%2band%2bbatch%2bprocessing
or others, for the other contex i'm in trouble to make "My system" more efficient.
For example in my case a LIS reconstruction during about 118000 seconds (approximately 33 hour).
I observe my system throughout that, and i find (using top) only 1 core of the 12 avaible in db server was working, and with a moderate I/O wait.
If in this case, it may be possible to use, at least 2 core at time, i hope that time needed will decrease.
Probably the LIS specific case could not be appropriate (indeed I don't know if it possible to parallelize that) but is a real case that trouble me.
Now my question is: Anyone knows, if exist, some tricks or cleverness to increase effincency (in other word to set the number of the core simultaneously suitable for long running process) ?
I search on the Net (not only in SDN) about this question, but i don't find anything for help me.
Thank to all people will give me some information!
    Fabio

    Hello Jane
Redistribute workload transaction is available for only Purchase manager. it is not available for stratergic purchaser .
Here all shopping carts will be avaialble which needs to be sourced and awaiting for purchasers action.
you can do with help of basis under stratergic purchaser menu, you can bring redistribution workload .
Do you want to keep the redistribute the workload inside the cockpit like besides crate Po tab?
Transaction BBPWLRA01is used to redistribute workload for Shopping cart, Purchase order, Bid invitation and contract
but your sourcing transaction , the carts available only for which responsible for startergic buyer which needs to be sourced.
BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BADI helps you to control distribution logics.

  • The default value of purchasing group in "carry out Sourcing "

    Dear , expert :
         I work in SRM7.0 ,ECS!
I have two questions about the screen of    "carry out Sourcing ":
1,How can set the default value of purchasing group ?Now the default is empty .
2.The purchaser can select many purchaser group here ,I want to know what controls this .in the group responsibility ?
    Thanks!

    Hi Alex
If there are more purchase group responsible for one product category. the end user (requestor) can select which purchase group before he order a cart.
so that sc goes to respective purchaser cockpit  in the sc ?
if you have only one purchase group responsible . no probem
    or
    redistribute workload
you can distribute your cart to another purchaser
for eg. initailly ALEX is purchase group in the sc.
now you can transfer MASA purchase group  via redistribution workload
so now the sc shows in the MASA cockpit with new purchase group as MASA instead of ALEX purchase group name

  • Need technically the linkage between Shopping Card and PO (SRM).....

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I am using SAP SRM 7.0 and wanted to find out:
    1) Technically the linkage between Shopping Card and PO (SRM). (Basically looking for required table names and the fields)
    2) Technically the linkage between Shopping Card and Reservation (SRM) . (looking for required table names and the fields)
    Thanks....

    Hi Siobhan
thanks. but every customer wants to know what happened to his cart if the status is COMPLETED or not. Why SAP missed this small piece of functionality to show COMPLETED status via WEb transaction. I can see only this via REDISTRIBUTION WORKLOAD transcation status. right hand side green tick mark. this green mark totally mislead every body. mixuter of status shows green tick mark (COMPLETED + FOLLOW ON DOCUMENT CREATED etc) in redistribution mark.
    Appreciate your reply .
I tell you in detail .
for ex CART went to ERROR IN PROCESS but no where the requestor can see his cart and he got dismayed and admin can see his cart . ok. if i go see in redistribution menu it shows COMPLETED logo. it mislead whole business.

  • Time Series Format of Operating System Statistics

On the AWR report we see the "Operating System Statistics" section.. since generating multiple AWR reports is daunting and takes a lot of time and I'm only interested on particular columns of dba_hist_osstat (where that particular section of AWR pulls the data)... I'd like to have an output like this:
    SNAP_ID BUSY_TIME LOAD NUM_CPUS PHYSICAL_MEMORY_BYTES
    244 6792 .23 1 169520
    245 1603 .04 1 154464
    246 28415 .05 1 5148
Problem is, the dba_hist_osstat values are stored as rows...
    select * from dba_hist_osstat where snap_id = 244;
    244 2607950532 1 0 NUM_CPUS 1
    244 2607950532 1 1 IDLE_TIME 57153
    244 2607950532 1 2 BUSY_TIME 5339
    244 2607950532 1 3 USER_TIME 1189
    244 2607950532 1 4 SYS_TIME 4077
    244 2607950532 1 5 IOWAIT_TIME 2432
    244 2607950532 1 6 NICE_TIME 0
    244 2607950532 1 14 RSRC_MGR_CPU_WAIT_TIME 0
    244 2607950532 1 15 LOAD 0.099609375
    244 2607950532 1 1008 PHYSICAL_MEMORY_BYTES 300536
So I got this query to walk through all the SNAP_IDs with the following output. I'd just like to format particular columns like the one I mentioned (above) for the data to be more meaningful and to be easily loaded on excel for visualization. Well I can also do this on "Instance Activity Stats" (dba_hist_sysstat) and other stuff..
    select
    b.snap_id, substr(e.stat_name, 1, 35) as name,
    (case when e.stat_name like 'NUM_CPU%' then e.value
    when e.stat_name = 'LOAD' then e.value
    when e.stat_name = 'PHYSICAL_MEMORY_BYTES' then e.value
    else e.value - b.value
    end) as value
    from dba_hist_osstat b,
    dba_hist_osstat e
    where
    b.stat_name = 'BUSY_TIME' and
    b.dbid = 2607950532
    and e.dbid = 2607950532
    and b.instance_number = 1
    and e.instance_number = 1
    and e.snap_id = b.snap_id + 1
    and b.stat_id = e.stat_id
    order by snap_id, name asc
    SNAP_ID NAME VALUE
    244 BUSY_TIME 6792
    245 BUSY_TIME 1603
    246 BUSY_TIME 28415
BTW, try to generate AWR reports on a particular SNAP_IDs, the value you get from the query will be the same on the report...

    karlarao.wordpress.com

    Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for the input, I'll explore rewriting the query using those functions. But for now it serves the purpose of knowing/characterizing the workload, and also having a clear view of the capacity, requirement, and utilization without the hassle of generating AWR reports on each snap_id...
This will also be useful for visualization and predictive analysis..
BTW, I've used the following tables:
    - dba_hist_snapshot
    - dba_hist_osstat
    - dba_hist_sys_time_model
    - dba_hist_sysstat

  • SRM 7.0 SP05 - Workload Redistribution functionality

    Hello,
Up on using the Workload redistribution functionality in our system the system dumps (strategic purchaser). The workload redistribution transaction does open initially but upon triggering the: search help / execute search via button or undo entries button the system dumps. It triggers the following error: 'User session (HTTP/SMTP/..) closed after timeout'.
    - Does the 'Workload redistribution transaction' work in your system, could you test this?
    - Is BW set-up required to run this transaction, does this functionality utilize BW?
    - The customizing transaction 'Define Logical Systems and Template Names for BW Reports' is not available. How come? Is this transaction available in your system?
    - Any possible solutions are very much welcome
    Kind regards,
    Tim

It seems that after using and waking up the functionality and letting the system rest it started to work. I don't know what that is but I guess we should be happy it's working after all.
    Thread closed, question answered.
    Kind regards,
    Tim

  • Workload Redistribution not chaning purchase group

    Dear SRM Experts,
We are running SRM 5.5  If you run the manual workload restribution, the system responds back and says "update completed successfully".   Howerver, when you look at the shopping cart it is not changing the purchasing group to the new one (i.e it is not performing the redstribution despite the system reporting back that it has done it.  What could be the cause of this?
    Kind regards
    Pedzi Mutapiri

    Hello Pedzi,
Your issue can be raised due refresh problems. Check note 1493400 (WKL: No refresh of the document list after redistribution).
If this note can not help you, please also take a look on the following note:
1294817 - Warning message when no organization data is entered in WKL.
This one is about any warning message be raised if the purchasing fields weren't entered.
    Best regards,

  • Workload Redistribution 'ReportingWorkload' Link

Has anyone been successful at activating the 'reporting workload' link on the Workload Redistribution (redistribute workload) transaction?  If so, can you provide information on what this provides the user?  Screen shots would be great too if possible, or even just a high level description of this functionality once it's activated.
Is a link to BI/BW required to activate/utilize this functionality?  If you could also provide steps on exactly how you were able to activate this in config that would also be very helpful.
Please note that OSS note 835696 is not applicable to us since we are running SRM version 5.0 SRM_SERVER 550, support pack 7.
    Thank-you!

    Hi Natasha,
the report gives an overview of the workload = scs/bids/contracts, per PGroup /
POrg, etc. There are several filter options. Based on the report, responsible
persons have an overview of the workload and can "redistribute" work items to an-
other person in SRM. Via the SAP Business Content available in SAP help, some
details to the reporting can be checked out.
You need to have BW available and done the necessary config. Specifically to
activate the link, the settings in "SRM Server → Cross-Application Basic Settings
→ Define Logical Systems and Template Names for BW Reports" need to be done.
    Thanks,
    Claudia

persons have an overview of the workload and can "redistribute" work items to an-
other person in SRM.
    Thanks,

    Hi Deepthi,
You can look for the "job log" status for the jobs in your process chain. For job logs use sm37 transaction an find the relative db table.
    Hope this helps.

  • Possible for using profiler for creating workload for Database Engine Tuning Advisor in case of SSRS reports

I have SSRS reports with each 5 parameters. Parameter datasets includes statements like WHERE @CategoryKey
I have 20 tables in SQL Server. We don't have OLAP cube.
I have created SQL Server Profiler trace. I have clicked all reports during process.
I have opened Database Engine Tuning Advisor.
I have selected all tables to Tune.
Tuning options are Indexes/No Partitioning/Keep all existing PDS
    Result is following:
     14% improvement
10 recommendations (8 statistic for Calender table and 2 index for Calender)
    Tuning logs:
S008 exec sp_executesql N'  LongSQLStatment including IN (@CategoryKey) Event does not reference any tables
    S007 Replaced event exec sp_executesql
My question is that why I did not get any recommendations for other tables that Calender?
Could it be because of SSRS parameters like @CategoryKey?
Is it possible at all to use SQL Server profile for creating workload in case of SSRS reports with parameters?
I have tables and reports like ProductSales, which I suppose should be get indexedbecause of WHERE statements.
I have where statement like Month and Category and Color.

Yes it is possible to capture a trace using profiler, but please provide the t-sql behind your dataset before I can answer your question about the DTA recommandations.
