Refer to different XML schema

When I save file as "Word XML document", what kinds of schema does MS word using? Is it possible to use another XML schema? If so, how?
Plus, is it possible to use VBA inside MS word so that I can create save as "Word XML document" inside the "Save as type option"?

What do you mean by "create save as "Word XML document" inside the "Save as type option"?"? Do you mean you want to create a new option in the Save as type option? In my option, you could not. The FileFormat in the Document
was specified by WdSaveFormat Enumeration. You could not modify the WdSaveFormat Enumeration. You could refer the link below:

  • How to read data with different XML schemas within the single connection?

    I have Oracle 11g database
    I access it through jdbc:oracle:thin, version 11.2.0.3, same as xdb.
    I have several tables, each has one XMLType column, all schema-based.
    There are three different XML schemata registered in the DB
    I may need to read the XML data from several tables.
    If all the XMLTypes have the same XML schema ,there is no problem,
    If the schemata are different, the second read throws BindXMLException.
    If I reset the connection between the reads of the XMLType column with different schemata, it works.
    The question is: how can I configure the driver, or the connection to be able to read the data with different XML schemata without resetting the connection (which is expensive).
    The code to get the XMLType data is textbook implementation:

    I don't fully understand all the issues behind your questions but I'll give some answers. What is wrong with your current code of
    v_filetype := message.extract('//FILETYPE/text()').getStringVal();in retrieving the FILETYPE? While the use of // is not the best for performance, that will find FILETYPE where ever it resides in the message XML? If you know FILETYPE resides at a certain level, you could also do the following to improve performance a bit (untested theory)
    v_filetype := message.extract('/*/FILETYPE/text()').getStringVal();
    That sample assumes FILETYPE is a child of the root node, and doesn't care what the root node is named.
    As you are going to, the best method would be to have FILETYPE is the same location for all the XML messages to make retrieval the easiest. Without a larger sample of your .xsd I won't offer a working solution, but can you just make FILETYPE part of the PurchaseOrderType definition? I know you mentioned multiple XML file types so I'm not sure what the others look like and what you can and cannot change.
    Other thoughts:
    - Could you pass in the file type as part of what is enqueued in AQ?
    - Can you determine file type from the name of the root node in the XML?

    I have also another question to SAX: I read, that it is reading a document without saving it in the memory. I think this means that if I am validating it by SAX it will be read once and for parsing it will be read a second time. If I would transfer the document over an tcp-connection, I only have the document once in my inputstream and after validation it would be consumed I think. But what can I parse then? Or did I missed a detail with the function of the SAX?

  • Multiple XML schema in structured XMLType column possible?

    I have registered several different xml schema in my 10g database. I have a table with an XMLType column. That column will always hold one XML document that conforms to one of the XML schema. Question: does that by definition mean I have to use "unstructured" storage, or there any way to use structured storage telling Oracle that the XMLType conforms to xsd1 OR xsd2 OR xsd3?

    In 10gR2 a column based on an XML Schema and using object-relation storage can be bound to one global element. The only way for a column to hold documents associated with more than one global element is if both elements are defined as members of the same substition group.

  • Collections of XML Schema

    Hello,
    On a XML native database, there is a concept of "collection", like a XML table in which I can store XML documents defined by many different XML schema but which have the same collection name (e.g. a collection of multimedia documents, videos (defined by a video.xsd), pictures (defined by a picture.xsd), ... but all of them referring to the same collection "multimedia_documents").
    Is there such a concept in Oracle (I'm working on Oracle 10g) ?

    I thought more of Tamino collections, more conceptually. And I know that there is no such a concept in Oracle.
    But how is it possible to replace such "collections" in Oracle 10g ?
    2 possible (?) ways :
    - 1 nested table = 1 collection, cointaining references to the views that access the XML document tables.
    - 1 collection = 1 database with several XML schema

  • Syndication mapping when changing XML schema

    I have used a ARTMAS04 XML schema and done mapping in the syndicator and saved the map. Then we are doing changes i SAP R/3 and need to add some extentions in the IDOC and therefor also the XML schema. I then add my new schema with the extentions into the the syndicator, and try to open the mapping. Then the mapping is done using the old schema. This means that if I do a change in an XML schema, I need to to map everything from scratch. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

    Hi John,
    The maps saves not only the mappings but also the destination properties for that particular scenario.
    Hence as soon as you change the destination properties i.e your XML schema, and try to open your old map which is using different XML schema your changes will be lost and you will end up with using old XML schema only.
    As far as i know, to handle this situation you have to do all the mappings again.

  • Can't import XML schema with ref to external namespace

    In TopLink 10.1.3 Dev Preview 3 (build 041116), I have 2 simple schema files. One defines an element as a ref to an element in the other schema, so the ref points to an element in an external namespace. TopLink won't import this schema.
    First schema, imports fine:

    Apologies, but this is a bug in DP3 with respect to references to elements in imported namespaces. This has been fixed in current code, but until you get that, there are a couple ways to work around it:

  • Xml schema different between Dev and QA

    The XML schemas are different between our DEV and QA systems after applying XI stack 13/SRM stack 10. It may be that they were different before applying the stacks but it has only been spotted in testing. We need to find out why before we live with the SP stack into production.
    We have re-applied the XI content tpz files to both the DEV and QA servers and can't see any differences between in the design time repository apart from between the generated XML schemas:
    A simple example of the difference is included below. The difference
    only seem to be in the SRM Server 5.5 content and seems to be to do with the hierarchies in the header declaration with xmlns:p0="http://sap.com/xi/SRM/Basis/Global" being in a different position in Dev than in QA. I have raised an OSS message but have been waiting for 2 1/2 days now for a response and we are due to go live with the patching in a weeks time. Any help steering me in the right direction would be most appreciated.

    It worked nicely. But, I just found out the coding that was downloaded from the website of Apress and I just executed was different from the coding of Listing 4-8 listed in the book: all the <xs: ....> and </xs: ..> in my SSMS2012 are
    listed as <xsd:...> and </xsd:...> respectively in the book!!??  The same thing happens in the Listing 4-3 Simple XML Schema, Listing 4-5 XML Schema and Valid XML Document with Comple Type Definition, Listion 4-6 XML Schema and XML
    Document Document with Complex Type Using <sequence> and <choice>, and Listing 4-7 Complex XML Schema and XML Document with Model Group Definition (I executed last week) too.  I wonder: should xs or xsd be used in the XML
    Schema Collection of SSMS2012?  Please kindly help,  clarify this matter and explain the diffirence of using xs and xsd for me.

    Using xs or xsd depends on how you declare the namespace prefix.

    I followed your suggested in the above, and always purge recyclebin, but still got the same problem. because in 10gr2, there's no dbms_xmlschema.purge_schema available,
    and I did checked the recyclebin after force the delete of schema, nothing inside. any other recommendation?

  • XDB annotations on complex XML Schema

    I am currently testing this in 11gr2 Express, while I wait for our DBA to upgrade our main AIX dev instance to 11gr2 enterprise edition.
    I have a fairly complex xmlschema, provided by the IPTC and trying to annotate it to override some of the default sqltype mappings, but running into problems with how/where to annotate.
    From what I have learned so far, annotations to override the sqltype mappings can only be done on complexType and simpleTypes. ComplexTypes must map to a sql object type, and simpleTypes map to a basic atomic sqlType.
    How would you handle an instance where a complex type extends an xs:string.. but need to have this string map to a CLOB and not a varchar2(4000)?

    Then change the inlineData element extension from xs:string to "LargeStringToClob" ? I plan to use an XMLType column with BinaryXML storage...
    I was hoping to not have to modify the xml schema too much, but I guess its to be expected when trying to map it into Oracle.

    I think I may have been on this for too long... brain is getting fuzzy ;-)
    The approach you outline shows promise and I will go with BinaryXML storage option.
    I need to decide whether to use virtual columns or non-trivial columns at this point, to enforce integrity constraints and possibly some partitioning. We do have a few relational lookup tables to tie into this as well... and will also need to implement VPD.
