The problem here is that java compiler is a bit confused between
both the classes javax.jms.Queue in javax.jms and java.util.Queue in java.util
Just Edit
IssueHandlerBean.java
UserHandlerBean.java
just add the line import javax.jms.*;
D:\New project\itracker\src\cowsultants\itracker\ejb\beans\session\I
ssueHandlerBean.java:
D:\New project\itracker\src\cowsultants\itracker\ejb\beans\session\U
serHandlerBean.java:
Hope this will resolve ur problem. dont forget to update.

    Hi,
    I'm trying to import the OAF BOPackage oracle.apps.icx.schema.server but I get 480 error messages when trying to make the files. (I have not made any changes yet)
    Most of the errors are like:
    Error(83,12): reference to Number is ambiguous; both class oracle.jbo.domain.Number in package oracle.jbo.domain and class java.lang.Number in package java.lang match
    Is there something wrong in my path Any ideas on how to fix this?
    My workaround is to compile the files I need on the server.
    /Karin

    Sumit,
    This is a common issue, and the cause of this is the decompiler.When decompiler decompiles a class file back to java file, it converts all the null refrences to "null", so, if the java file originally contained
    Number n in any method call where n is null, the decompiled java file will contain only null instead of Number n, so when you compile, the java compiler get ambigous refrence, and is not able to decide whether it is javan.lang.number or oracle.jbo.domain.Number.
    Karin,
    What you need to do is, identify the line where this error is coming, and put a null refrence of the data type. This should solve your problem.I hope i am clear.

  • Error: reference to method is ambiguous

    Hi guys,
    Here is the line that won't compile:
    ((p)(o1)).g.a.(this);
    Here is the error:
    reference to a is ambiguous, both method a(av) in au and method a(bu)in at match ((p)(o1)).g.a.(this);
    So I want to try calling either au.a or at.a explicitly but I can't figure out how to do that.
    Any help is greatly appreciated. This is for an online game where (bad)people can boot others so I am trying to write a patch. Thanks alot.

    The explanation isn't totally clear - but you can use as much of "package.classname.method()" reference as needed to disambiguate the code. I.E. "package.classname.method()" or "classname.method()".
    Post some applicable code that clearly shows the relationships if more help is needed.

  • Reference to putTransactionValue is ambiguous, plus extension controller qu

    Good Morning,Afternoon or Evening OA Framework Gurus,
    I'm creating an extension of a OA framework controller and I'm receiving the following compile
    error. I believe it is because of 2nd parameter being passed is null, but I'm not sure how to get around
    this. This is part of Oracle's delivered code and I did not want to mess with it.
    Second question, when extending a controll, do I need to copy all of the code out of
    the original contoller and put into the extesnion controller? I plan to replace the standard controller
    by doing a personalization to specify the new extension controller.
    I tried just creating an extension controller with my change and the page did not render correctly
    / code line 53
    oapagecontext.putTransactionValue("DupReportHeaderId", null);
    compile error
    Error(53,27): reference to putTransactionValue is ambiguous; both method putTransactionValue(java.lang.String, java.lang.String) in interface oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageContext and method putTransactionValue(java.lang.String, oracle.jbo.domain.Date) in interface oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageContext match
    Thanks for any help

    If the issue is in Oracle's delivered Code, log a SR immediately.
    When you extend a standard Controller you donot need to copy the code in the standard controller to your custom controller. The reason is that you are extending it. Please notice the line super.processRequest() in your custom process Request. This would invoke the standard processRequest.
    In case you are getting issues, kindly look for the problem and try to understand why such a thing is happenning.
    Regards
    Sumit

    Yeah!!! It works. Turned out to be a combination of DrKlap's and Martisan's suggestions -- had to change var frame's declaration from JFrame to MyFrame:
        MyFrame frame;Next, created the external class -- but again changed JFrame references to MyFrame:
    public class ShowOnExit extends WindowAdapter {
    //   JFrame aFrame;
       MyFrame aFrame;
       public ShowOnExit(MyFrame f) {
          aFrame = f;
       public void windowClosing(WindowEvent e)
          System.out.println("Why me???" + aFrame.textArea.getText()); // aFrame here not frame !!!
    }This worked. So looks like even though the original code added a WindowListener to 'frame', the listener didn't couldn't access frame's methods unless it was explicitly passed in as a parameter. Let me know if that's wrong.
    Thanks again, all.

  • Cannot access class javax.sql.RowSet

    Hello everyone,
    I had a question about this error I am receiving "cannot access class.javax.sql.RowSet". I have put the RowSet.jar file into my jdk/jre/lib/ext directory and when I compile I recieve this error. Can Anyone help? Thanks!

    I think you need to add one (or more) of the available libraries to your project, in your project's settings dialog, but I'm unsure which. If you can't find the correct one, you can always add a newly created one, which holds a reference to your jar file.

  • Over-riding the class javax.faces.context.FacesContext: SUN App Server 9.1

    The method to over ride the faces context has changed between SUN Application Server 8.2 and 9.1, as a result the instructions which were previously provided on the MyFaces wiki (http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/Installation_and_Configuration) no longer work. What I am looking for is instructions that will allow me to use our own faces jars and not (javaee.jar) which is provided as part of the application server.
    What I need to do is to get Sun Application Server 9.1 to allow me to over ride the faces context /javax/faces/context/ with that from my local jars, in version 8.X the following steps were enough:
    Start 8.X instructions:
    1. Change the config security file so that MyFaces <http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/MyFaces> can delete it's temporary files.
    Change permission
        java.io.FilePermission <http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/FilePermission> "<<ALL FILES>>", "read,write";to
      java.io.FilePermission <http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/FilePermission> "<<ALL FILES>>", "read,write,delete";2. Prevent the sun reference implementation from being used
    In your WEB-INF, create a sun-web.xml file containing
        <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
        <sun-web-app>
        <class-loader delegate="false"/>
        </sun-web-app>3. That way, myfaces classes will be loaded instead of Sun RI ones.
    And prevent MyFaces <http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/MyFaces> from loading the Sun RI context listener
    By creating in your webapp a "fake"
    com.sun.faces.config.ConfigureListener
    <http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/ConfigureListener> that will be loaded BEFORE the sun RI one's.
    The war file I am making available as a test case has just such a file in my case it is called fakefaces.jar
    End instructions for 8.2
    However these steps have changed for version 9.1 as following the exact same procedures does not result in the Application Server using the correct jars, the following is a test using a simple find.jsp, notice how Application Server 9.1 is still using the default jars and not the ones shipping with included as part of my testApp.
    Within the war file is a jsp called find.jsp using this I can check which jar file file is being used for any class in my case I'm interested in the the /javax/faces/context/FacesContext.class, in 9.1 it always uses teh copy from javaee.jar and never teh local copy:
    For example running: http://<ip address>:<port>/test/find.jsp?class=javax.faces.context.FacesContext
    Version 9.1 returns: file:/u01/software/Apps/SunAppServer9.1/lib/javaee.jar!/javax/faces/context/FacesContext.class
    Version 8.2 returns: file:/u01/software/Apps/SunAppServer8.2/domains/domain1/applications/j2ee-apps/TestApp/test_war/WEB-INF/lib/myfaces-api.jar!/javax/faces/context/FacesContext.class
    Hence 9.1 is still using the copy provided by SUN and not our copy.
    The code for find.jsp is:
    <%
        String className = request.getParameter("class");
        Class theClass;
        try
            theClass = Class.forName(className);
            java.net.URL url = theClass.getResource("/" + theClass.getName().replace('.', '/') + ".class");
            out.println(url.getFile());
        catch (ClassNotFoundException e)
            // TODO Auto-generated catch block
            out.println(e);
    %>-------------------------------------------------
    Any idea how to over-ride the FacesContext class in version 9.1 to allow for similar functionality as 8.X
    Thanks,
    ERIC GANDT

    Alright, I've narrowed it down to my Customization Class. I attempted to have my customization class PortalCC in a JAR file, excluded it from the WAR file and added the JAR in the lib directory of the EAR file, as described on:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e16272/deploy_java_ee_app.htm#CHDGGFEB

  • Deployment error - Missing class: javax.servlet.jsp.jstl.core.Config

    Hi,
    We are using JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4(SU5) on windows for development of ADF application. We need to deploy the developed application onto Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.3) which is running on Solaris. We are using BC4J, WAR and EAR deployment profiles in jdeveloper to create the .war and .ear files.
    If I deploy the generated ear on a standalone OC4J server install on my windows PC, it works fine.
    Now when I deploy the generated .ear file onto the Oracle Application Server 10.1.3 through Application Server Control interface and then try to access the jspx pages under our application we are getting following error:
    oracle.classloader.util.AnnotatedNoClassDefFoundError:      Missing class: javax.servlet.jsp.jstl.core.Config     Dependent class: com.sun.faces.application.ViewHandlerImpl     Loader: accaweb.web.accaweb:0.0.0     Code-Source: /oracle/app/oracle/product/10gas3/j2ee/home/applications/accaweb/accaweb/WEB-INF/lib/jsf-impl.jar     Configuration: WEB-INF/lib/ directory in /oracle/app/oracle/product/10gas3/j2ee/home/applications/accaweb/accaweb/WEB-INF/libThe missing class is available from the following locations:     1. I have confirmed that the .war file inside the .ear file does contain the jstl.jar file under WEB-INF/lib folder. And the jar file does contain the class 'javax.servlet.jsp.jstl.core.Config'
    As a workaround, I found that if I copy the jstl.jar file from default-web-app to my application web-inf/lib folder, things start to work fine. ie copy from: '/oracle/app/oracle/product/10gas3/j2ee/home/default-web-app/WEB-INF/lib/jstl.jar'
    to: '/oracle/app/oracle/product/10gas3/j2ee/home/applications/accaweb/accaweb/WEB-INF/lib/'
    – or –
    Another workaround is to add the '/oracle/app/oracle/product/10gas3/j2ee/home/default-web-app/WEB-INF/lib/jstl.jar' file in the classpath for my web application through Application Server Control setting page.
    Now both of these workaround needs us to perform additional post deployment steps which should really not be required since the jar files is included in the project.
    Has anyone faced this issue? Any pointers in this respect will be a great help.
    regards - rutwik

    Surprise Surprise !
    I just tried deploying the file via uploading it from the Application Server Control UI and it worked fine.
    Till now, I was ftp'ing the ear file from my PC to the server on which Oracle AS is running and was telling Application Server Control to pick form that uploaded location.
    I am still not clear on why it works with HTTP upload and not via the FTP upload?
    cheers - rutwik

  • War file not loading - Offending class: javax/servlet/Servlet.class

    Hello;
    I've got a war file for an app that I've been building for the past several weeks. I created a new version and uploaded it to the server and received a 404 error when trying to call a servlet in the war. The catalina.out file had the following message:
    WebappClassLoader: validateJarFile(/usr/local/apache/tomcat/webapps/optintelligence/WEB-INF/lib/j2ee.jar) - jar not loaded. See Servlet Spec 2.3, section 9.7.2. Offending class: javax/servlet/Servlet.class
    I've not changed my libraries at all and I don't see any conflict with another appliacation. The war file works on my local windows machine but has this error on a RedHat server. Both are running tomcat 4.x
    I would appreciate any information on this problem.

    You might still get the warning when you start Tomcat:

    That's because you have the j2ee.jar as part of the web application. The servlet specficiation forbids a web application trying to override core java, j2ee classes. Thererfore Tomcat prints the warning message that the particular jar could not be loaded as it is trying to override a core java-j2ee class.
    If you remove the j2ee.jar from the web app WEB-INF/lib folder, the warning will disappear.

  • Issues with Weblogic - Offending class: javax/servlet/Servlet.class

    Hi,
    I've been working on a servlet that calls EJB objects and I'm having problems deploying it under Tomcat. It prints the following error message when I try to deploy the app:
    INFO: validateJarFile(/home/xxxxx/tomcat/webapps/hello/WEB-INF/lib/wlfullclient.jar) - jar not loaded. See Servlet Spec 2.3, section 9.7.2. Offending class: javax/servlet/Servlet.class
    For reference, here is how my web.xml file looks like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>

    I'm not sure what your code does but Tomcat doesn't support EJBs.

  • Javax.jms.InvalidDestinationException: Destination has invalid type "class

    Dear Sirs,
    I am trying to send a JMS message from an application deployed to AS 10.1.3.3 to a destination (Queue), that was described with help of Oracle Enterprise Manager. This desination is working correctly if I send message from ESB by it's adapter. But my class refuses to execute method "createProducer": I have an exception:
    "javax.jms.InvalidDestinationException: Destination has invalid type "class oracle.jms.AQjmsDestination" and cannot be used with OC4J JMS".
    What is the case?
    Thanks.

    Thank You, Gera!
    My mistake was: I tryed to use oficially registed QueueConnectionFactory. But, indeed, AS notes that "connection factories are only needed for in-memory and file based persistence destinations. Destinations that use database persistence do not require connection factories to be specified - these are created dynamically by the JMS connector (adapter) used for database persistence."
    So, I found ra.xml file in directory of generated adapter, fetched queue factory name that seems correct for me, and use it.
    Now it works!
    Спасибо, Гера.

  • Is there a way to reference a private variable from one class in another?

    My first class starts off by declaring variables like so:
    class tStudent {
      // declare student name, id, grades 1 & 2, and gpa
      private String fname, lname, g1, g2;
      private int id;
      private double gpa;
      // define a constructor for a new student
      tStudent () {fname=lname=g1=g2=null; id=-1; gpa=0.0;}
      // define methods for manipulating the data members.
      // readStudent: reads information for just one student
    public void read (Scanner input) {
          fname = input.next();
          lname = input.next();
          id = input.nextInt();
          g1 = input.next();
          g2 = input.next();
    }And the second class:// tStudentList: for a list of students
    class tStudentList {
      private int nStudents;
      private tStudent[] list;
      // constructor for creating student list
      tStudentList() {
          list = new tStudent[36];
          for (int i=0; i < 36; i++) list=new tStudent();
    // read the individual students into the student list
    public void read(Scanner scan) {
    nStudents=0;
    while (scan.hasNext()) {list[nStudents++].read(scan);}
    // display the list of all students - fname, lname, id, g1, g2 and gpa
    // with an appropriate header so the output matches my sample //output
    public void print() {
    Is there a way to reference the variables in the first class to use in the second? Specifically in the last section of code where I am going to print the list.

    Not without resorting to reflection hackery. If the fields are private (and are supposed to be), then that means "don't allow access to these to outsiders of this class" by design.
    So if you really meant them to be accessible, then don't use private, or provide public accessors for them.
