Refresh a Snapshot while accessing the "old" data

Hi folks!
I've got a problem with my materialized view. I want that the view is refreshed every day, but during the refresh process (refresh complete) i still want to access the old values. Is there a possibility to refresh in the background and then switch to the "new" values.

I'm not aware of any builtin functionality like this (other than something like fast refresh which you seemed to dismiss). You could easily do it manually using 2 materialized views and switching out a synonym for which one is current.

Yes, you do have the SAPR3 user.
But you don't seem to like to read documentation or learn about how the tools work or anything like that.
Therefore I gave you s simple way to reach your goal.
Of course it's possible to reuse the user.
But then you would have to deal with already existing tables, already existing data etc.
You don't seem to be able to do that. So, the easy steps might be better suited for your needs.

Nope. It just opened the installer and stayed in the same loop.
It tells me to choose a startup disk but the only option is the HD which it will not use because it says it cannot gather enough information.
Eveything was working fine until the mountain lion failed install.

ALV refresh with the Old Data

I have a question with OO ALV. I have an Editable ALV output which contains around 10 fields. In the output the User can Edit/Insert/Delete the Records, and on the application tool bar I have a button (CHANGE)by which the user can swtich between the change and display mode of ALV.
Once the ALV list is displayed, when the user click on change the output is open for Editing. Lets say the user deletes the record, and again clicks on the change(which should take to display) by giving the message "Changes made will be lost" and the old data should get displayed.
The logic i followed is,
1. displayed the ALV.
CALL METHOD gr_grid->set_table_for_first_display
    EXPORTING
      it_toolbar_excluding = gt_exclude
      is_layout            = gs_layout
    CHANGING
      it_fieldcatalog      = pt_fieldcat
      it_outtab            = pt_outtab[].
2. when I click on the change button, the ALV is set for Edit using
        CALL METHOD gr_grid->set_ready_for_input
          EXPORTING
            i_ready_for_input = 1.
lets say, now the record in the output is deleted, and I clicked on Change again, which should take me to display with the old data.

I copied the program BCALV_EDIT_01 to Z program and add the required logic. Backup of the table after the ALV display

500 Internal Server Error while accessing the report on portal

All,
We are on BI7. have few queries on portal and recently while accessing the queries user is getting the 500 Internal Server Error. The error message is like below:
500 Internal Server Error
Failed to process request; contact your system administrator
BEx Web Application " I_Qnc()2ex.........(etc) does not exist.The application was either ended by a timout or an error occured.
Recently most of the users started getting this problem and it is on a high resolution to be resolved.
Any suggestion greatly appreciated.

This is mostly TimeOut Error.
However, 500 Error applies to variety of problems within the server.
Please make a back up of your query and restrict it further so it populates less data.
If the report is running properly for less range of data, that's a timeout issue.
Otherwise you will have to recheck the query. Mostly these are timeouts because, in general production data is high and if there us less restriction, the query OLAP time and front-end time will be more than optimized.

Hi ram,
if you have more than one application server running in your BI system (see at transaction SM51) be aware that your infopackage will be executed on the right one. Each application server has its own file system and your job need to run on the server your file is stored on.
Also check if the os user of the SAP system itself (<sid>adm on Unix) has rights to read that file.

ICloud storage space used up by old data from 1st gen iPad I traded in nearly 2 yrs ago for an iPad Mini. Can't backup any info for mini or new 6 plus. How can I access this old data to clear it out?

My iCoud storage space is being used up by old data from a 1st generation iPad I traded in nearly 2 yrs ago for an iPad Mini. The people at the sprint store where I made my trade were supposed to transfer everything over from my old iPad to the new Mini once they backed up the old device to iCloud. Well, long story short, none of the data ever got transferred to the new iPad, but it all got backed to iCloud, eating up all my storage space. Here I am almost 2 years later, and I've never been able to back-up my iPad mini. What's worse, My iPhone 4 wasn't backed up that whole time, and now I can't back-up my data from my new iPhone 6 Plus to iCloud either. Trying to find creative ways to store and save my information and data between all my devices is getting to be ridiculous. I don't want to upgrade my storage space though...just want to clear out a great deal of what is already being stored. How can I access this old data to clear it out?

The only way to access data from an iCloud backup is to restore it to your device. You could, for example, back up your iPad mini to your computer using iTunes (by connecting it, opening iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Back Up and choosing to back up apps and transfer purchases when prompted), then erase it and restore the old iPad backup (as explained here: iCloud: Restore or set up your iOS device from iCloud), save any recovered data you want to keep, then restore your iTunes backup back to your iPad mini (by connecting it to your computer, opening iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Restore from Backup).
Once you're done with the old backup, delete it from your account to free up the space.

Upload Demand Data adds up to the old data for SAP SPP

While uploading demand data using csv files, it adds the demand values again if uploaded for same part- same time- location again.
Do we an option in the data upload process, where in we can configure it so that it overwrites the old data and add the new data.

When you are repetitively load the same data, there exists the requests in request tab page of Manage Data Targets which are active and again you are loading the same data with different request ,hence it gets added ,
If you don't want then you need to delete this old request and then load the data or in InfoPackage in Update Tab page you can select the delta update or full update option .

Can not access the Instance Data of a Singleton class from MBean

I am working against the deadline and i am sweating now. From past few days i have been working on a problem and now its the time to shout out.
I have an application (let's call it "APP") and i have a "PerformanceStatistics" MBean written for APP. I also have a Singleton Data class (let's call it "SDATA") which provides some data for the MBean to access and calculate some application runtime stuff. Thus during the application startup and then in the application lifecysle, i will be adding data to the SDATA instance.So, this SDATA instance always has the data.
Now, the problem is that i am not able to access any of the data or data structures from the PerformanceStatistics MBean. if i check the data structures when i am adding the data, all the structures contains data. But when i call this singleton instance from the MBean, am kind of having the empty data.
Can anyone explain or have hints on what's happening ? Any help will be appreciated.
I tried all sorts of DATA class being final and all methods being synchronized, static, ect.,, just to make sure. But no luck till now.
Another unfortunate thing is that, i some times get different "ServicePerformanceData " instances (i.e. when i print the ServicePerformanceData.getInstance() they are different at different times). Not sure whats happening. I am running this application in WebLogic server and using the JConsole.

Hi All,
How to access the global data in user exit.
the question is that when we were writing a code in the FM. i need to read data from the standard program like newly created documen and this document number need to be accessed in my program.
this document number is not imported to the FM i needed to access for frther proceed.

Hi,
As per the error logs it seems you have the Form element twice in your web config file. Just take one or the other one out. if you did any changes in web. config file please share and elaborate little more about the changes if you have made recently before

How to view the old data in a column if that column is dropped or rename

Using workspace manager I am not able to track the old data of a column which is dropped.
I have tried by using import and export features that Workspace manager have.. But import is not working properly in this case. And savepoint option is work with DML operation not with DDL.So, I want help in this matter

No way even in 10g. You should build another DB and import your exported data.
then you can get data from this new DB.

i Cannot drop old undo tablespace. While dropping the old undo tablespace we get an error
ERROR at line 1:

We not using rman backup only cold backup.. i tried using cold backup in ramn block media recovery but that recovery needs archive log
