Refresh subtotal in ALV OO for an editable field

Hi friends,
i have 3 editable quantity fields with subtotal on them.I need to refresh these subtotals when the user gives a new value and press' ENTER' ?
I tried REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY but it doesn't work...
Any ideas ?

Problem solved....
i updated editable fields in alv internal table using GET_CELL_VALUE and displayed my grid once again with SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY.

ALV SUM for non numeric fields.

Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement where i have a alv output and i have a check field of char 1 length...and it displays X as the output. Now i need to have X at the sum line at the end.is there is any possibility with the fieldcatalogue.

U can not do sum for char type fields,it will only possible for numaric fields.
This u can do by program,after populating the output data,do the sums for the required fields in program and append that to output table as last record.Display the last row with differant color.

BDC for non editable fields

hi
i want to process the non-editable fields in a transaction (ME32) from the program itself. but when i am doing this it is showing error saying '........field is not input field'.
how to process this. pls check this.

The noneditable fields cannot be modified by BDC.
But in one of our tasks,
We followed this techinique..
Actually 2 of the fields in second screen are not open for input if certain variable is X in 1st screen.
Then we started that screen with Y and in this case those fields are open for input,now in second screen we modified the field as X back and saved the record..

Subtotals in ALV report for ALPHA-NUMERIC field

Hi Experts,
I have problem while subtotalling values in ALV report.
I have 8 fields in my fieldcatalog. Now, I have to do the subtotal based on 3rd field having name 'ABC'. This field is having type CHAR & having lenght 3.
Now I wanted to do subtotalling for field 7 & 8 as 'NETWR' & 'MENGE' based on 3rd field.

How to truncate the decimals in the ALV report for the quantity field

Hi All,
I have to display a quantity field and units of measure in the ALV output. If the units of measure eq 'PC' i should not display the decimal places for quantity in the alv output, otherwise i have to display the decimals in the output. How to do this....any help would be highly rewarded. I knew that for this type of cases decimal_o will not work.

ALV issue - capturing user changes in editable fields using custom button?

Hi,
I created a custom button in ALV tool bar.   And also in my ALV grid I have couple of fields Editable option. User can change values for these 2 fields.
My question is -
After changing values for these editable fields(more than 1 record) , user will click on custom button and then I have to update all the user changed values in to my internal table(lt_tab) and then I have to process logic.
Problem is when user click on Custom button in ALV tool bar it is not having the changed values in lt_tab table.
Only when user clicks some thing on ALV grid records or fields then it is getting all the changed values in to lt_tab.
Can any one tell me how I can get changed values when user clicks on custom button?
1. Can we place custom button in ALV Grid? instead of ALV tool bar?
or
How I can capture user changes when they click on custom button?

To calculate average for a currency field in alv

Hi,
I have a requirement in which i need to find the average of a currency field in alv. For the particular field, i'm passing the value of DO_SUM = 'C' in thr field catalog(as suggested in many threads); but I'm not able to calculate the average. it still shows me summation when i click on summation button.
What could be the possible error??? Is there any other method we can do the same??

Well . . . I think I have the same issue, so I'll weigh in. If I choose to display a field as a Text Area w/ HTML Editor, I can find no way to insert a hypertext link. I need to also display the field as a plain text field in order to add the <a href...> . It would be great if the html editor had some way to add hrefs.

How could i block a document in Pages from editing and create editable fields in it?

Construct your document with spaces for the editable fields, then use Print > PDF > Save PDF file to convert that to a PDF image file.
Insert the file into a new pages word processing document as a floating object, then resize it to match the original size.
Move the image to the background and Lock it.
Insert a text box, place and size it for each field, and add some Placeholder text to each field. When set as Placeholder text, clicking on the text will select all of it, and anything typed will immediately replace the placeholder.
Limitations:
The text box cannot be locked in position without also preventing it from bring edited.
An editable textbox will not adjust to accommodate extra text. Adjusting it manually will not affect the underlying image.

F4 for Editable field in ALV, display Name but capture ID

Hi Friends,
I have a ALV for which i have defined a Structure, which is passed to Fieldcatlog.
I have defined a Search help - ZUSER_NAME which has following fields to display.
USERID - USR02-BNAME
FNAME
LNAME
FULLNAME
So my structure for fieldcatalog has User-id which is linked to this search help with Domain XUBNAME.
So in my report i made this User-Id as editable and F4 available, everything is working fine.
when user does a F4, its displaying Userid,Fname,Lname and complete name.upon selection and save i am capturing the id and storing in the ztable.
But now i have a requirement that when user selects a value from this search help on F4, i need to display Fullname but capture the User Id. How can i do that?
This is something similar to the one we have in BSP- key-value pair.
how to do this in ALV.
Appreciate if someone can guide me thru.

Urgent : Problem with Editable ALV Grid for Quantity and Currency Fields

Hi All,
I am using Editable ALV Grid display and have quantity and value as editable fields in the display.
When user changes these values these values are not changing properly .
For the quantity field the domain is MENG13 with 3 deciamal places and here if we enter 500 it takes it as 0.500 .
The same problem is for the currency field. Here the Domain is WERT7 with 3 decimal places.
Here also it takes last 2 digits after decimal places by default.
Please advice how to get proper values in this case from ALV editable fields.

for all the currency field , it will display like that only.
u have to manipulate uin program before displaying.
if they are giving 500, in program multiply with 100 and move it to table.
when u are getting from table, divinde and display.
this is what I am doing.
