Refreshing one frame only in a frame page

Hi all,
Pls help....i have this frame page with 4 frames. each one when click targets to another one on the same page...The last frame is a page which has 2 buttons Delete and Confirm and it has checkboxes.....when the checkbox are clicked and user clicks on Delete this specific frame page needs to be refresh and display the upated value....Right now it when i click on delete, it is being redirecting to blank window with the updated value and i need to click back to see the frame pages and the frame updated..which i do not want. Upon clicking Delete i want this specific frame to refresh and display the updated value....Pls help meeeeeeeeeee

Help with how to refresh one region of an APEX 4 page.

I have tried the options I can find to refresh a single region (classic report) on an APEX 4 page. I want the refresh to happen automatically without any input from a user (no button press, no sorting on the report or anything). Just based on a 5 second interval. Can someone help me further. It seems that I need to either use javascript or jquery. I am not sure where to put this code.
I have tried the following different methods. I put them in the Region Footer. Not sure if that is the proper place. Nothing happened when I did this.

The following works for me. I just chucked the function in global function definition on the page definition.

Also in your above examples, you set the interval once, but it wouldnt recurr as you're only calling setTimeout once. http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_timing.asp

HP Office Pro L7480 All in One Printer only prints half test page then stops - Windows 8.1

wonder if anyone can help with this one
Just replaced an old pc with a new Windows 8.1 Machine
I have 2 printers - An A3 HP printer and the Office Pro L7480
My A3 printer prints fine but the Office Pro starts to print a test page....gets half way down the DLL listing then ends and pushes the page out then prints another page with a line of garbage then pushes the page out then the printer stops responding and I have to turn on and off to try and print again with the same result.
Printer is connected via USB
I have tried different USB ports
Uninstalled the printer driver and resintalled
Tried both 32 and 64 bit versions
My Windows install is WIndows 8.1 64 bit
If I use the same usb cable as my A3 printer the issue remains
If I switch back to my old windows vista machine the printer works fine
I'm convinced that the printer driver is the issue with windows 8.1 as other printers work fine and the problem printer works fine on windows vista and my windows 7 laptop
The drivers I installed are from the HP drivers download and the printer is on the compatability list for windows 8.1
Any advice would be appreciated

If the issue persists, try the following Microsoft Hotfix; A wireless, high-quality print job to a WSD port is automatically canceled on a Windows 8.1 computer.

Why does my iChat video only run at one frame per second?

When I connect to anyone on iChat my video runs at only about one frame per second. When others connect to me their video is much faster. This hasn't been a problem in the past - even with other Internet apps running when I'm using iChat. Could this be a problem with my ISP? Is there something I should do?

In AIM 5.9 the PC can set the Video quality rate.
Start a chat.
The PC end clicks on the rear tab of the Video chat.
This brings their own preview to the front.
To the right there is anow a small iCon.
Click on this.
This brings up a slider.
Slide the slider to the Left.
If this is done to an iChat Buddy and they have the Connection Doctor open from the Video menu, they will see the Bit rate and Framerate go up. The consequence is that as the video Quality goes down the data that makes up the pic goes down allowing for better refresh rates and a smoother video.

How do i make a frame a enclosing a repeating frame appear only on the last page of a report?

I have a frame that encloses a repeating frame. How so i make them print only on the last page?

Assuming you have other content, you could:
set the Print Object On property to be last page.
anchor it to the main content that repeats on every page, so this frame only prints after the other one is done
Assign a format trigger where you make it display only if current page is equal to total number of pages
create a trailer and move the frame there

I have IPAD Air. In Safari, reloading a page does not automatically refresh all frames. Is there a way to force a frame reload/refresh?

A frame is not a browser tab. A web page is made up of multiple frames. 'frame' is the standard HTML definition of the frame tag. Here is a html example, which specifies a web page that subdivides into 6 frames. Each frame links to a html page.
In Safari, updating a page does not automatically updates all the frames. In all other browsers, you can put the mouse on a frame, right click, and select the 'reload frame.' option.
My question is how to updat frames in Safari? One way that works, of course, is to go to IPAD Setup, select Safari, and flush the Safari cache, but that's very inconvenient.

How do I use the brush tool on a video in cs6? It only stays on one frame?

How do I get what I create with the brush tool to stay on every frame in my video? I've got some footage of a car trip and I'm trying to use the brush tool to make a super 8 looking border, but it vanishes when I play the video because its only on one frame.

When Photoshop just won't work properly, try replacing the Preferences file by using this procedure:
Open Photoshop and save your custom goodies. Choose Edit→Presets→Preset Manager to save sets of styles, brushes, and other such bits and pieces you created. Use the Save Actions command in the Actions palette menu to save any sets of custom Actions.
Review your Preferences. Open Photoshop's Preferences and go through each pane, noting your preferred settings so that you can restore your work environment later.

I am afraid PSE11 has just one theme, ie. Basic.
However you can go to Expert mode, and then create a new image of the size you want, and then insert frames from the Graphics panel. You can insert as many frames as you want.
But Photo Collage will offer you just one theme.

I have an image sequence in JPG and when I select open image sequence, select all does not work and I can only highlight one frame at a time. I want to import these frames into QT7 to make a time lapse clip. Any suggestions

I have an image sequence in JPG that I want to import into quitck time 7 for making a time lapse clip.   It has an option to open the image sequence, but when I do, it only lets me highlight one frame at a time. The select all option seems to do nothing when I click on it trying to highlight all the frames.
      If QT7 is not designed to perform this function, is there another alternative?   iMovie is non intuitive for this kind of operation and I cannot find a clear tutorial for using it to make time lapse clips from a sequence of still frames.
       The tutorials Ive found on YouTube are well intended, but they all seem to leave out a vital step that eludes detection.
Anyway, any help appreciated.

Yes, I tried that.   The files were ordered by their original numbers as imported from the camera, but I batched them through Phocoshop to downsize all of them into a more manageable file size.   I opened that destination folder from quick time from where it said select image sequence.   I clicked on the first one and opened it.   The result was a large image with an arrow indicating a movie was ready to go.   When I pressed the arrow, though, I realized it had only imported that one frame so there was no movie.   The files are Jpgs and are about 450 KB each.
    To your knowledge are there any links to iMovie tutorials or quick time tutorials that may address this situation? Maybe there will be one I haven't looked at yet.

Ae cs5 importing seq images all blacked out or only one frame - help

I created a pan background and keyframed it and it is working fine. I then brought in pngs with transparent background as a seq and the image is all black when they imported into ae cs5 once one image was brought in correctly (the first image of the seq). I have batch converted to psds with same results. What am I doing worng importing in seq to work over the pan background?
And I have tried PSD image sequence file - it only brings in one frame.

I just did some tests. If you export the png's using the save for web and other devices and png 24 then things work fine with grayscale images. If you save grayscale images as png's directly then the png's are aparently saved as png 8's so they won't work properly in After Effects. Any pixel not completely white is rendered black.
To be honest I've never run into this before. It may be worthy of a bug report.
I'm not sure what technique you're using to remove the background from the originals but a jpg made from the original png file can be used as an Luma Inverted matte on a black solid to create the transparency. A little adjustment to the jpg sequence with levels will clean up most of the garbage. This would give you an acceptable result without resorting to a bunch of processing to try and create transparent pngs.

In what way do you mean the function is in all frames? If you write the function on a layer of its own and only provide one frame for it, it will only exist in that one frame.
If you mean that what the function creates lives throughout the timeline, then that is because you are creating content dynamically without securing it to an object that has a home in the timeline. Dynamically created content does not have a home in the timeline unless you make it a opart of something that has been manually affixed to the timeline, like a movieclip.
So what you might try is to manually add an empty movieclip in the frame where this code is (on a separate layer) and assign it an instance name, let's say you name it "container". Then you can change the following line from...
_root.createEmptyMovieClip("sliderBox",_root.getNextHighestDepth());
to
container.createEmptyMovieClip("sliderBox",container.getNextHighestDepth());
and that should end up retsricting the dynamically created movieclip to the frame where the container is. If there is any other content being added to the _root, that too should be retargeted to the container.

Illustrator layers only visible one frame

So, I started off posting in the wrong forum (Illustrator) and with that
question, seemed to jumped that hurtle, but encountered another.
My first problem was importing an Illustrator layered image as 'Composition
- Retain layer sizes' and had to check off the sequence options as
'Illustrator/PDF/EPS Sequence' in order to keep the layers in the proper
positions (or all layers centered around individual anchor points).
Another problem I had with that was all my layers became mixed - so my
solution was to bring them into the comp in a manual order.
So, now that I have the Illustrator layers in my After Effects comp, the
layers only remain visible for one frame.
I have my comp set for a minute. I started playing with opacities and can't
get past the 'one frame visibility'.
My plans are to 'draw on' the guitar I have drawn in Illustrator, by
keyframing the layer opacities.
I have tried the Animation/Keyframe Assistant/Sequence Layers but I am
missing something.
I want to try other effects that I do not remember the specific effect name
(to draw on the guitar layers), but first I need to start with having my
layers visible for more then the one frame.
What have I missed?

Your artboard needs to include all of your artwork. That's the problem with the illustrator file you are showing.
Import as a sequence should never be checked if you are importing only one file whether it is imported as footage or a comp.
When you import as a comp you must open the comp that AE creates to keep the layers lined up.
Most people just getting started with this workflow make all three of these mistakes. The workflow is really easy. Make each object that you want to animate a separate layer, make sure all artwork fits in the your artboard and you only have one, import as a comp retaining layer sizes, then open the comp that AE creates. ALL of the layers that are in the project panel will be the size of that layer. If you are using clipping paths then the layer will be the size of the clipping mask if it extends beyond the artwork.
One last point that I failed to make. You should be creating your artwork so that it is the right size to fit in your composition at it's at rest size. In other words, if at some point in your composition you want to see the whole guitar and have it fill the screen then the strings must be thick enough to work in video. That means they must be at least 2 or 3 points wide. If you want to have the guitar fill only one quarter of the screen and your project is 1920 X 1080 then your dartboard should be set to 1920 pixels or points wide and the strings must still be at least 2 points or 2 pixels wide unless they are absolutely horizontal and vertical AND if you use thin lines or stroke values less than 3 pixels in your illustration you should have snap to pixel turned on in illustrator. Your illustration may be vector art but if there is fine detail in the illustration then it must line up with the pixel grid or it will not look good.
