How to close only one frame

Question

Hi!
How do i close only one frame?
I know this close everything:
private void exitActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) {                                       
Component panel = null;
System.exit(0);
But i tried this: but dos'nt work ....
public static void main(String args[]) {
java.awt.EventQueue.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
public void run() {
new configuration().setVisible(false);
}

P.S setVisible(false) just hides. dispose() throws the frame and its components into the trash bin.Yep, that was the answer. :] thanks
