    friends,
i have defined a follow-up action for txn qa11/12 and assigned a customized mail-sending fm to it..am on 4.7 and to send the mail to an internal lotus notes id using so_new_document_send_api1, but the problem is without using commit work and submit rsconn01 commands, am failing in doing the same...just want to make sure that my follow-up action will take place after all the database commits and will not cause any problems? ..please guide me on this friends...thanks in advance

    hi
thanks for your response...but QFOA_MAIL_SENDING_STANDARD is the fm used by a standard follow-up action that sends a mail to user's SAP office...that fm uses so_object_send to send the mail, which finally calls a commit work...just in a general sense, i hope follow up action triggers after all database commits..correct me if am wrong...i've never used perform on commit...any suggestions will be of great help

  • Reg. commit work in a follow-up action

    friends
i am using the following approach to solve a requirement which is posted in this thread..How to send a mail after a usage decision is made in QA11?
    got a nice reply too
i have defined a follow-up action and assigned a customized mail-sending fm to it..my doubts are, i am on 4.7..am able to send the mail to an internal id, but the problem is without using commit work and submit rsconn01 commands, am failing in doing the same...i have read in a thread that commit work or submit (if the called program uses commit work) will cause data inconsistencies and will trigger locks if it's used in any user-exit or badi...but in my case, when will a follow-up action actually take place? will it happen after all the database commits? if so, then i believe that even i use commit work and submit commands in my z mail sending fm, it wouldn't cause any problems...am just sort of afraid whether this approach is the correct one? or triggering the mail code from the last user exit or badi itself will solve the purpose? i believe not..please guide me on this friends...helpful replies will be appreciated and awarded..thanks in advance

  • BCS: Performance Issue - Most of the time is spent doing commit work.

    Hello,
We are experiencing performance issues with our BI server. This performance issue can been seen during our BCS runs. Our DBA has indicated that he sees a very high percentage of time time is spent doing "commit work".
Curretly, we are running BI7 nw2004s, Basis 700, support pack 14.
Anyone else experience this? As the BCS run is mainly stanard SAP code, I was wondering if there may be some snotes that correct this?
Thank you for any help you could provide us.

If it is related to SEM-BCS and new EHP releases, then there are still big problems with the monitor and tasks status management (meaning problems with performance). Is it the case? If yes, then you'd better  look for already released notes reg this and formulate your own OSSs if you don't find anything relevant.

Does commit work (commiting the changess to database )take same time for one record and 1000 records

    Hi ,
There is some micro seconds differences in updating the recors . If you have huge records ,split the data into parts and insert it .
To avoid errors  or warnings ,you can use 'WAIT UPTO 5 SECONDS ' .
    Thanks

  • Update was terminated when we do commit work twice in short time

    Hi Experts,
i have one Data bas update problem. My requirement is to create contracts in CRM with new item category(suppose ZSFT) than what is determined(ZSRT). i am using CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN FM to create contracts after that i am calling CRM_ORDER_SAVE to save transaction then COMMIT WORK key word to commit in data base. Since transaction is created with Determined item category(ZSRT) i  am calling change transaction bapi  BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_CHANGEMULTI to change item category after that BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_SAVE to save transaction and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT to commit the work. but second commit is not happening instead error message "Update was terminated" recieved from author "XXXX". when i created test program with BAPIs to change already created contracts to change item category it is working fine.
    Any body has any clue.
    Thanks in advance
    Siva

Hello Siva, Is your problem solved ? I have the same error and unable to update the partner info on Service confirmation.
Here is what I'm trying to acheive.. I'm working on an interface that creates a docflow and creates service confirmation against existing service order. In the confimation file when I have new ZAPP((partner function ZAPP) I need to delete ZAPP that gets copied over from service order into the confirmation in docflow. Right now, in my first CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN call I have one entry for new ZAPP  and I have It_docflow populated. This creates two ZAPPs on the confirmation. I need to delete ZAPP on the confirmation that is copied over from service order.
Right now I'm reading the confirmation and trying to delete the ZAPP but after my second crm_order_maintain,order save and commit call sequence I'm getting this error update was terminated.
Experts any help on how to get around this issue would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Reg. Error in Commit work in FM "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1"

    Dear Experts,
My requirement is that i need to send the PDF attachment via Outlook Express as Mail. I am using the FM "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1" for sending to Outlook Express. Here i need to check "Commit work" flag. Else it will not be sent to the mail. When i do this, i am getting the short dump saying "MESSAGE_TYPE_X" - Pre_commit check.
Is the above issue related to any configuration settings done by Basis. I checked the forum but i could not get suitable post.
Kindly help me in this regard.
    Regards,
    Ramesh Manoharan

    Hi Ramesh,
Check subrc and RETRN_CODE value for the table RECEIVERS. If subrc is inintial and Return_code is fine.
Then check with your basis team. They might need to do some config change.
I have used used a Z-FM to do this job. Find the code below.

  • Reg Increasing the EJB Response Time

We are facing below performance problems in our application,
    1. Response time from EJB (Stateless Session Bean) to Client (Swing).
    2. Time taken for looping through the Result Set.
For 5000 records, our query is taking 0.2 Secs but looping through the ResultSet is taking around 16 seconds and Response time for transferring 160 kb (object data) from EJB to Client is taking around 30 Secs.
We have achieved some improvement in ResultSet looping time by setting the setFetchSize of ResultSet to 250.
    Can anyone suggest?
    1. Is there any way to increase the Data Transfer time (Response time) from EJB to Client?
    2. What is the ideal value for setting the value for ResultSet.setFetchSize() ( No of records we fetch vary from 1 3,00,000 records)

    1. Response time from EJB (Stateless Session Bean) to
Client (Swing). Consider non-EJB options. They might prove efficient in your case.
    2. Time taken for looping through the Result Set. Try and design your code as to not require all the records at a time.
For 5000 records, our query is taking 0.2 Secs but
looping through the ResultSet is taking around 16
seconds and Response time for transferring 160 kb
(object data) from EJB to Client is taking around 30
    Secs.
We have achieved some improvement in ResultSet
looping time by setting the setFetchSize of ResultSet
to 250. There is a limit to what you can achieve with that.
    Can anyone suggest?
    1. Is there any way to increase the Data Transfer
time (Response time) from EJB to Client? I suppose you would want to reduce the response time.
    2. What is the ideal value for setting the value for
ResultSet.setFetchSize() ( No of records we fetch
    vary from 1 3,00,000 records)

  • Bad response time  for aRFC

On our R/3 ECC6 production system ,we have one aRFC call by external system, there are 200000 times per day.
and the response time for the RFC call is 35ms ,Some times its response time(commit time) are much longer and up to 2 seconds.
There is very simple code for the RFC as shown below

        commit work
        call function 'function_name'

    Dear Randorlf ,
Now i can determine that  statement "commit work"   have a high cost  some times.
I write a simple report as show below,
One high cost will occurs per several minutes.
      report ztest.
      do  10 times.
        GET RUN TIME FIELD t1.
        INSERT ytest_table FROM TABLE lt_tab.
        GET RUN TIME FIELD t2.
        t1 = t2 - t1.
        WRITE:/ 'insert:',t1,sy-uzeit.
        COMMIT WORK.
        GET RUN TIME FIELD t3.
        t2 = t3 - t2.
        WRITE: 'commit:',t2,sy-uzeit.
    enddo.

  • Response Time BPEL Fault

    Hi everybody,
    i have the following Problem:
create a simple composite with one Mediator wiring to one simple BPEL Process.
The BPEL throws his own Business Fault define within the WSDL.
The Mediator propagate this Fault to the inital caller.
    Everthing works fine but...
The Response Time for the normal request and response of the BPEL is 300 - 400ms.
If the BPEL throws the Fault, the response Time is over 6 Seconds!!
Has anyone an idea why the Response Time from the BPEL Fault is so much higher?
    Thanks a lot
    regs Stefan

    Hi Neeraj,
the Problem is identified. The long Response Time comes from our internal Company Network.
The Response Times if calling the Service from hosted Environment is OK.
    Regards Stefan

  • CO54: Message is not sent to any destination: Commit Work is getting failed

    Hello,
While processing the Messages from XFP to SAP Update is getting terminated due to the use of Commit Work. SAP Note 147467 - Update termination when sending process messages has been referred which is for 4.6C, but we are in ECC6.0.
While processing the message in second iteration Commit Work triggres and Update happens in the data base.
Following Issue is only concerned with Nested HUs
    T-Code used CO54
    Following are the analysis:
it looks like u201CCreate and Post a Physical Inventory Docu201D is failing in the initial processing because the inventory doc is created when the Transfer Order to the PSA (or the TO from the PSA) is not yet completed (quant is still locked somehow).
CO54, process message category=ZHU_CONS: HU to be consumed is a nested pallet (unpacking/ repacking and TOs to/from) and qty to consume is greater that HU qty in SAP (creation of a physical inventory doc is required).
    1. The error occurs while clearing the inventory posting for the physical inventory document.
    2. The surprising factor is the u201CProcess Messageu201D is not processed correctly for the first time.
    3. Indeed it is successfully processed without any error if you do process it second time.

Hope you have carried out following things in Production ( Please refer to SAP help before actually doing it in production).
    1. Transport the predefined characteristics from the SAP reference client (000) to your logon client.
    2. Adopt Predefined Message Categories - In this step, you copy the process message categories supplied by SAP from internal tables as Customizing settings in your plants.

  • Will the problems I am having with slow Safari response times continue if I port the image of my 4 to an new iphone 5?

As in many families, I am ready to upgrade my iphone 4 to a 5 and pass on my 4 to my partner (who has my old 3), BUT I am resistant to do so because I have been having problems with Safari, (very slow response time) ever since I upgraded to the new OS a month or so back. I have completed all the cleaning tips (cookies, individual app shut downs) and hard boot steps with no change. I can sit my partners Iphone 3 next to my 4 and when using Safari it beats it hands down, almost doubling the time it takes on the 3. My 4 is quicker on all the other apps so I don't believe it is a hardware issue. My tests were done using our home wi fi set up the same on both phones after running all the cleaning tips on both.
I actually broke down and called the support line and the first level support told me if I upgraded to the 5 I would likely carry the problem to the new phone. She said she suspected malware or a virus and that for $300 she could forward me to second level support that could scan my phone and see what the problem is on my 4 and support any issues on a new iphone 5 OR for a one time lower fee $79, just help me fix my 4.
Thinking through her options, I chose none of the above. Seems like I should be able to either 1) isolate the issue myself with the help of this forum or 2) upgrade to the iphone 5 and if the problem follows to the new one, get the support via the new device warranty. If the support person is correct and the problem is in the software and would follow the device, then in theroy I could wipe and restore my old 4 with the back up/data of my partners 3 and the problem on the 4 should be resolved.
I really don't want to carry the problem to a new phone if I can fix the issue first. I have airwatch software to push my work email to my phone and that is usually a pain to do when I upgrade anyhow. I don't need to pay for a new phone that has the same problem as my old one. I will get grief from my partner for passing on an issue that will come up with the daily use of the old iphone 4 that I will be responsible to fix anyhow. I have invested too much time already to generate problems on both our phones. Thanks in advance for any tips or guideance about a streamlined way forward.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Has any of this been tried?
FYI, there are no viruses that affect iOS unless the device has been hacked or jailbroken, in which case they cannot be discussed here.

  • Response time for Error Messages - Please Help

    Hi
I have a PRO C application talking to an Oracle database.
The Response time for successful query is within desirable limits.
But when there is a error condition (eg SQLError -3113,or connection refused) it takes more than 9 minutes for the database to respond with the error code.
This condition is observed with only one database while the others are working fine.
What is the reason for this? Can’t it be reduced?
    Regards
    David

ever been faced with the same problem ?
Why deleting ? It that only one way to fix this problem ?
What are the others doing in such cases. Or am I the only one person
where has this special problem on the world. Becides I dont believe
in solving the problem through removing mentioned directory and
reinstalling. Nevertheless I will try it. I let you know about the result.
    bye

  • How to increase built-in cisco vpn peer response timer?

    Hi,
I use OS x in-built cisco vpn client to connect to work VPN.
The VPN server, or perhaps the radius server, takes a long time to return a response. OS X always try for 10 seconds, then drop the conneciton when no response from the remote peer. When I use cisco vpn client on a windows machine, the vpn client has a setting to allow for 90 seconds remote peer response time. It works fine using cisco vpn client.
I prefer to use os x as my primary working environment, so I need to fix this problme. My question is how to increase the phase 1 & 2 timer for vpn under 10.6.7. I have tried to change racoon.conf phase 1 & phase 2 timer, but it made no difference. OS X only try for 10 seconds.
Any ideas? (besides asking work people to fix the server or radius problem)
    Thanks
