Reg: Consuming missing data by JMS queue.

Hi,
System1 is configured to send XML messages though JMS queue to my WL-server. But some times i have observed missing of message consumption at my server end.
what may be the reason? How can i consume the missing XML messages? is there any place where missing data will be stored?

When I meant there is an expiry time set with the message. It means the message is received by your WLS, but you are not able to see it because the message has expired.
You can only view the messages that are not expired.
If you think you are not even receiving the message, may be you can enable debugging on the WLS JMS and see if you are able to get more details in the server logs.

I have a requirement to pick(or consume) messages from Woblogic JMS Queue only when DB is UP.
When DB is down, messages should remain in queue. When DB is up, messaged should be picked on scheduler basis.
We are using SOA suite 11g(BPEL or mediator,JMS Adapter).
What is the best way to achive it in SOA 11g.
I tried, but when I setup a Consumer, there is no control over there. Messages are picked automatically.

something wrong with the design.
why dont you set the retry options in the fault policies?
So if the external DB is down you could reprocess them after specified interval or make it go to human retry queue.
Then you could use SOA api to retry all of them.

I am fetching text message from a jms queue using JMS adapter in BPEL.Then converting the opaque data(Base64 binary)to string using java embedding.My build got successful but I am getting runtime error at the time of deployment.

How to remove header data from JMS Queue while sending by jms adapter

Hi.
I have a problem regarding the MQ-series JMS adapter.
When writing the file the JMS adaptor putting some additional tags.
Actually we are converting idoc-xml to flat file by using ABAP mapping which is available in SAP document. We are using JMS Receiver adapter, whiel sending flat file to JMS QUEUE, it is displaying some extra xml tags. I think this is the header data available in IDoc XML. Can any body help me in removing header data.
There must be some way for XI's JMS adaptor to not include these information.
My example looks like this:

¸ " is junk that I really dont need in the file.
How can you setup the JMS adaptor not to put in these information?

Consumer number for a JMS queue continues to grow

 I am using WLS 7.0 SP2. I have a JMS Queue and number of consumers continues to
 grow.
 Is there any way to stop it from growing? If not, should I be concerned about
 the memory usage by those consumers?

 You are right on JMS resources. We found that developer didn't close JMS session
 and conneciton which caused the memory leak. Now it has being running more than
 10 hours without crashing.

Integration Broker : Sending peoplesoft Data into JMS queues using IB

I am working on integration of peoplesoft and SOA middleware. I am basically SOA middleware developer. So not much aware at peoplesoft side.
My requirement is that need to extract information from peoplesoft and send it to third party systems(through JMS queues) and also i explored that Integration broker is going to help in such cases.
Could you please answer my some of the questions.
1)How can i extract information of peoplesoft. lets say i need to extract customer data from peoplesoft.
2) steps to send above extracted customer info to third party system using integration broker.
It would be sending information to JMS topics.
So please let me know how we can handle JMS queues in peoplesoft.

Biztalk do have Peoplesoft Adapter. Just configure it and use appropriate Component Interface to push or pull the data.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I understand that we need to create an external delivery channel to post the message to a JMS Queue from TP2. Currently I am using default AQ's (b2b.IP_IN_QUEUE & b2b.IP_OUT_QUEUE) at TP2 end to receive the message.
But, I want to post the message to JMS Queue. For this I need to create an external delivery channel and the corresponding end point should be the name of that JMS Queue. Is my assumption correct?
I have already gone through the thread that you have mentioned and the pdf as well. But, I am not able to find an option on how & where to create that JMS Queue?
Could you clarify on this?

Data retrieval from JMS queue using single SOA composite in a clustered env

Hi,
I have following situation:
1) A requester SOA composite (Composite1)is reading data from a File
2) Mediator is routing data received from Composite1 and writing in a JMS queue.
3) A provider composite (Composite2) is reading from the JMS queue.
Both Composite1 and Composite2 is deployed in a clustered environment.
Problem is Composite2 is not able to read data sequentially from JMS Queue sometime (for example out of 30000 transactions its failing once). Here it's a queue and only one producer and only one consumer is there.
What may cause this issue? I thought a single producer and single consumer on a queue will guarantee FIFO retrieval . Could you please advise where may be the gap?

Missing data in queue

I have 4 asynchronous running VIs that share data between each other via queues. The producer VI puts the data on 2 different queues; one for a consumer VI to write data to a file and one for 2 consumer VIs to display data. The first display VI takes all the data (in waveform format) and converts it to a string for display in a table. The second display VI takes a subset of the data and converts it to DBL for display on individual indicators.
I am not experiencing any lost data being written to the data file. I am experiencing missing data for the displays. I put a test sine wave on one of the data channels to figure out which queue output is having the problem. There are about 90 channels of data being collected.
The table VI only displays the latest data point for each channel in the table. I didn't notice any missing data until I wired the test channel into a chart. I thought could be an update issue. However, ...
The subset VI displays all the data from the test channel in a chart and there is missing data. Out of all the channels only one is being displayed.
The producer VI puts the data on the queue using Lossy Enqueue Element function. The consumers get the data from the queue using the Preview Queue Element function.
Any ideas on where to begin to diagnosis the problem? I would post code but I haven't successfully posted any files to this forum. Is there any other location I could post?

I do this all the time. My prime example is with data that needs logged and updated to the GUI. So I have one loop that processes data and then sends it by generating a User Event. I then have a data logging loop that is registered for the event that can log the data. I will then have another loop that handles the GUI that is registered for the event to just update an indicator.
This example is a lot dumber than that (it just updates two indicators). Saved in 2014. Let me know if you need an older version.

But the new reqirement is to retive the xml data in ODI using "JMS Queue XML data server".I have tried
several ways(reading from internet) but failed to configure physical dataserver and reverse the xml message.
Also failed to understand properly the oracle post (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integrate.1111/e12644/jms_xml.htm#CHDFCFBI).
Speically this portion "JNDI URL: <JMS_RESOURCE>?d=<DTD_FILE>&s=<SCHEMA>&JMS_DESTINATION=<JMS_DESTINATION_NAME>.".

MDBs in 9.1 continue to consume JMS queues even after being deleted

We have an MDB application that reads a batch message off of a JMS queue, archives it in a database, parses the batch message into individual messages and writes them onto other JMS queues to be consumed by another application. Everything was running fine in Weblogic 8.1.5. However, due to problems with XA drivers and the MSDTC(predictable SQL server crashes), we decided to upgrade to Weblogic 9.1 to take advantage of the LLR option.
 First, we had an issue where our MDBs were causing the following exception:

 Generally this happend after there were cluster communication issues. Multi-cast messages were lost and our MDB reconnects to the JMS queues as indicated by the below log:

 This would cause the queues to eventually have hundreds of consumers and cause the server to fail.
 Basically, it seems as though the MDBs that are supposed to stop continue and attempt to process, while new threads connect to the JMS queues.
 I tried undeploying our application and deleted it from the configuration. However there were consumers still on the respective queues and when I sent messages, I got an error indicating a "Class Not Found exception" due to the fact that the EJB was undeployed and deleted from the configuration, however the MDB component was not and continued to listen for messages. In 8.1.5, as soon as the application was undeployed, there were zero consumers on the JMS queues.
 I have read the posts about a soon to be released fix that would have the MDBs connect only to the queues locally and not go out the the cluster. Would this fix my issue?
 Is there something in the deployment descriptor to configure that will cause it to disconnect and now spawn so many consumers to the JMS queues?
 Why is it that the number of MDB consumers on the JMS queues stayed static in 8.1.5, but they are erratic in 9.1 even after I set our 9.1 server to use the 8.1.5 execute queue policy. Help would be much appreciated.

I recommend contacting customer support. There's a known problem with MDBs listening to distributed destinations that are local to the same cluster as the MDB, you're problem may be related (the clue is that the stack trace contains jms.dd.DDHandler.callListeners()). The problem is that the MDB connects to all physical queues in a distributed destination rather than just the local queue.

Exception in the XML consuming from JMS Queue

In the CEP application we have a business flow like we want to consume an xml message from the JMS queue.
While CEP is consuming the message sometimes we are getting an exception.
But this issue occurs rarely and we have no idea about the root cause.
I am attaching the trace of this exception.
It seems this exception is from weblogic server itself.
Also this could be an interface problem, since its showing a casting error.
The Bug description:
When we send a meter event through SOAP UI in the CEP visualizer when the event is consumed CEP also shows this exception.
This may not halt the analysis process of the event, but this unwanted piece of code/lines have to be avoided.

Creating data server for JMS Queues in ODI

hi,
I am trying to create data server for JMS Queues in ODI.
I am getting following error:
java.sql.SQLException: Cannot load connection class because of underlying exception: 'javax.jms.JMSException: Cannot find the Connection Factory (jms/QueueConnectionFactory) in JNDI'.
To implement this, I am giving following parameters:
JNDI driver : com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory
JNDI url : ormi://localhost/default
JNDI resource : jms/QueueConnectionFactory
Please help.

JMS queue consumer challenge

Hi there,
 I have met a pretty challenging problem in JMS queue consumer and
 would like to know if any JMS lovers in the group know about it.
 We have queue receiver listening on queue which contains a number of
 mugs.
 Once a msg is received (onMessage returns), the msg is handed over to
 a worker thread from a thread pool.
 Essentially there are two parts of the problem:
 1. We want kind of flow control - only x number of msg can be
 processed at a given time. This can be resolved by using semaphore.
 However, there might be better solution out there. Anyhow, this is
 less an issue than the second part -
 2. As we know client_acknowledge happens at the session level:
 Acknowledging a consumed message automatically acknowledges the
 receipt of all messages that have been consumed by its session. For
 example, if a message consumer consumes ten messages and then
 acknowledges the fifth message delivered, all ten messages are
 acknowledged.
 -- this is the problem -- we want to acknowledge each msg
 individually so that only the processed msg is acknowledged although
 there are x number of msg being retrieved. By doing that we won't lost
 any msg in case the JMS client crashes.
 It is a challenge, isn't it? Might well not be one for you, if you
 know the trick. If you do, could you share with us? Thanks a lot.

Just to be clear, I favor (2), where each worker thread has its own session and
 consumer.
 This naturally throttles, as there are only as many outstanding messages as
 worker-threads.
 BTW, be aware that it is against spec, and dangerous, to call acknowledge()
 outside of
 onMessage() - as this multi-threads the Session and Session's are not thread
 safe.

Parsing sensor data (out of JMS queue)

Hi,
I´m currently trying to implement sort of a monitor using sensors.
I´ve managed to set up a JMS queue that is used by a sensor and I have casted the message i got to a com.evermind.server.jms.EvermindTextMessage. However, all I can get out of this is a string representation of the sensor action data in XML. It looks somehow like this:

So now, I´m searching for a simple solution to put this structure back in an java-object so I can easily get the different parts I need. I´ve found a schema dealing with sensors under OraBPELPM\integration\orabpel\system\xmllib\Sensor.xsd and have translated this via schemac to classes, but there seems to be no class for the element "actionData", as this is also not mentioned in the schemas.
I´m currently using my own parser/handler (SAX), but this is no satisfying solution.
I´ve searched almost everywhere, but it seems, noone has ever dealed with this.
Any suggestions or ideas?

Hi Clemens,
schemac has indeed included this one (SensorAction.xsd) by itself - all classes are generated correctly (including SensorAction/SensorActionProperty/etc). Nevertheless it´s somehow useless, because those sensor schemas seem to be a definition of the sensor itself rather than the data it produces.
As you can see in the schemas, there is no definition for either a "header", nor a "actionData" or "activityData". I could (for example) extract the node "sensor" and feed it to the proper class - same goes for inner node "activityConfig". But all those other values (providing most of the information i need) don´t have a matching structure in the schemas.
Before I used JMS, I have tried a custom sensor class that implements com.oracle.bpel.sensor.DataPublisher. In this case I´m getting the information I need from com.oracle.bpel.sensor.schemas.ITSensorActionData and can extract the header and payload from there. This leads me to the conclusion that there is (somewhere) another XSD describing the sensor data - or did I get something completely wrong?
