Reg:sequence

Hi All,
I am using Oracle 10.2.
I had a query as:
SELECT schma1.ASN_IR_ID_SQ.NEXTVAL
*               INTO seq_11 FROM DUAL;*
when i run this query i am getting error as :
ora-     02289: sequence does not exist
Thanks

What a strange way to ask a question ;-)
But a fun topic.
Let's say SCHEMA1 has or has not created sequence ASN_IR_ID.
Now SCHEMA2 tries to use that:
SCHEMA2> select sequence_owner, sequence_name, user, p.privilege
  from dba_sequences s, dba_tab_privs p
where 1  = 1
   and s.sequence_name = 'ASN_IR_ID'
   and p.table_name(+) = s.sequence_name
   and p.owner(+) = s.sequence_owner
   and p.grantee(+) = user
no rows selected.
SCHEMA2> select schema1.asn_ir_id.nextval from dual
select schema1.asn_ir_id.nextval from dual
Error at line 1
ORA-02289: sequence does not existSo, the sequence does not exist, and SCHEMA2 gets ORA-02289: sequence does not exist
Now, SCHEMA1 creates the sequence, but grants no privilege to SCHEMA2.
SCHEMA1> create sequence ASN_IR_ID
Sequence created.Again SCHEMA2 tries to use that:
SCHEMA2> select sequence_owner, sequence_name, user, p.privilege
  from dba_sequences s, dba_tab_privs p
where 1  = 1
   and s.sequence_name = 'ASN_IR_ID'
   and p.table_name(+) = s.sequence_name
   and p.owner(+) = s.sequence_owner
   and p.grantee(+) = user
SEQUENCE_OWNER   SEQUENCE_NAME  USER         PRIVILEGE
SCHEMA1          ASN_IR_ID      SCHEMA2
1 row selected.
SCHEMA2> select schema1.asn_ir_id.nextval from dual
select schema1.asn_ir_id.nextval from dual
Error at line 1
ORA-00942: table or view does not existNow all of a sudden, SCHEMA2 gets ORA-00942: table or view does not exist. Isn't that strange ?:|
P.S:
Off topic, of course things works once SCHEMA1 grants SELECT on the sequence to SCHEMA2

  • Reg : Sequencing Microfocus RUMBA 9.1 using App-V 5.0

    I have sequenced Microfocus RUMBA 9.1 application using App-V 5.0. After installing the sequbneced package in the client machine , In one of the shortcut there is an option to configure TCP/IP server . when i click on configure i am getting an error message
    as below
    ERROR
    wdtel.inf file does not exist. Unable to support TCP/IP for windows.
    The user must exit windows and reload this file.
    The above mentione file is available in the App-v root dir.
    I am not getting this error message in the source files in win7. Its only the sequenced package having this problem.
    The prerequisite for this app is VC++ 2010 Redist. I have tried installing the prereq seperately and also along with the package still no joy.
    Client Machine is Win 7 32 bit System
    Any suggestions please?
    Vasanth MG

    I would suggest running a ProcMon and re-create the error. Take a look at the output and see where exactly it is looking for the file. Perhaps there's something hard coded?
    Have you checked the registry for any trace of the file name?
    Are there any .ini files or config files which may be pointing to it?
    Also, I would suggest in future to post this in the general App-V Forum rather than under recipes.

  • How to execute a .reg file in a task sequence using MDT 2013

    Hi,
    Im trying to add a couple of desktop icons to my custom images during deployment using MDT 2013. I have a .reg file with all commands inside it but I am struggling to get these to work. the .reg file is located on my deployment server and is in a shared
    folder which everyone has full read\write access to, I was wondering if someone could help?
    The commands inside the .reg file are:
    reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu /v {20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

    Thanks

    That's not a *.reg file. that's a set of commands used in a *.cmd file.

    Dear All,
    I need to generate file name in sequence number. Now i have generated file in specific folder. In that folder file i am reading one by one and generating. Problem is folder file some names having special characte those names are not generating while reading 'Cat' Caommand in shell script. Instad of that i want to generate files in 1.ldt,2.ldt to etc..
    Please guide me how to generate in specific folder.
    Thanks in advance.

    First, LabVIEW 7 allows you to pass string and path data types directly into the Matlab script node. Otherwise, in LV <= 6.1 you can do the following:
    In LabVIEW, convert the string to an array of U8s using the String to Byte Array function. Then pass the U8 array into the Matlab script node as a Real Vector type. Finally, in Matlab, convert the Real Vector to a string using the char() function. For example:
    stringAsString = char(stringAsRealVector)
    Attached is an image that shows how to do this.
    Good luck,

  • Sequences in routing -reg

    Hi,
    what is the purpose of sequences in routing ?
    normally all the operations list we can put and create routing ?
    if we use sequences will the operations of all the sequences taken in to account while doing standard cost ?
    are these sequences are of reporting purpose or any thing else
    can any one clarify ?
    regards,
    Madhu Kiran

    Hi,
    we use REM , no order reference
    our routing have sequence 0 to sequence 11 etc.. based on operations , these are not parallel sequences
    sequenec 0 is mainline operations
    sequenec 1 is some sub assembly operations etc...
    my doubt is when cost is run whether it will take these other sequences other than 0 also in to consideration ?
    with out giving the sequences if all operations are put in to routing what will be the issue ?
    one doubt with this is
    sequence 2 is handling time 2 min  and when we assign return operation to this sequence as operation 30 of main line where in that operation we give time as 1 min suppose
    whether system takes 2+1 = 3 mins time ? or 1min only from mail line sequence ?
    pl clarify
    regards,

  • Access sequence., reg.,

    Hi, guru's can anybody explain can we define an access sequence for a header condition type?
    Thanx in advance
    tulja singh

    Hi
    Access sequence is a search strategy for the valid condition record for a condition type.SO, yu can access sequence to any condition for which you want to pass value by maintaining the condition records.
    If your condition type is not a dependent condition , then you can define the access sequence with the condition tables and priority among them.System will find and pass the value of the valid condition record to the condition type.

  • Reg: Process sequence for PM

    Dear Sir
    pl explain me about the processing step By step procedure for Break down maintenance,preventive maintenance and Corrective maintenance(SAP Easy Access)
    Thanks

    Preventive maintenance process
    Ensuring a high availability of objects in the long term is an important part of Plant Maintenance. Preventive maintenance is used to improve the availability of the technical objects, without which repair costs will be higher.
    The scope of planned maintenance includes Preventive Maintenance, TBM on any type of Plant / Machinery.
    One of the most significant advantages offered by the SAP Plant Maintenance application component is the option of split-level maintenance. You can use maintenance planning to describe the dates and scope of preventive maintenance and inspection activities of technical objects. You can plan for your technical objects to be maintained on time and thereby function optimally.
    Maintenance Plan
    Description of the maintenance and inspection tasks to be performed at maintenance objects. The maintenance plans describe the dates and scope of the tasks.
    Preventive maintenance plan:
    Maintenance is performed in specific cycles for time-based maintenance (TBM) planning, for example, every two months or every six months.
    Periodic Inspection plan:
    Inspection is performed in specific cycles for time-based inspection planning.
    Counter based Maintenance:
    With counter based maintenance plans, you can plan regular maintenance based on counter readings maintained for measuring points at pieces of equipment and functional locations.
    Maintenance takes place when the counter for the technical object has reached a certain reading, for example, every 100 operating hours, every 500 operating hours etc. The calculated planned date depends on the counter reading at the time of planning, and the estimated annual performance that has been defined for the counter.
    You can use performance-based maintenance planning to ensure that the operations contained in the maintenance task list are performed at a time when the technical object actually requires maintenance.
    Maintenance order:
    Orders form an important part of the detailed planning of tasks and their accompanying documentation in Plant Maintenance.
    A technician on site must execute tasks on a technical object. For this, materials, tools and staff must be planned and costs estimated. The order supports you with these tasks, since it primarily contains data for planning and executing tasks, which must be performed at the technical object in question.
    Maintenance scheduling:
    We schedule a maintenance plan with which the system generates maintenance orders for the defined cycles.
    For each scheduling, the system calculates the due date (planned date) for a maintenance call object based on the scheduling parameters and the defined frequency like weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly etc and generates maintenance calls.
    Maintenance Order Confirmation:
    A completion confirmation documents the status of the processing of operations and sub-operations for a maintenance order. It is a part of order monitoring.
    Maintenance order confirmation listing gives details like which work centre performed the work, how long the work was done, how much work is still pending and clearing the reserved resources.
    Purpose
    •     To carry out preventive maintenance on the technical object based on fixed frequency.
    •     To meet some legal requirement (Statutory) like reminders through calls for submission of ‘return statements’.
    •     For planning of procurement of components and provision of service for any technical object in fixed interval.
    •     Budgeting of resources like men and material.
    •     To plan for checking the health condition of the machine and optimize on the maintenance schedules based on the result.
    •     For execution of checking the condition of same equipment following more than one time interval like monthly, quarterly.
    •     Mass planning of the preventive maintenance for whole lot of equipment.
    •     Plan for preventive maintenance collectively for a group of similar equipment.
    •     Any maintenance activity, which needs to be carried out at certain frequency, can be planned and scheduled using this functionality’ can be specified here.

  • AppV5 Excel/Office ProPlus 2013 Click to Run Sequencing (and include some native Addins)

    Hello,
    We need two native Excel 2013 Addins: PowerPivot and PowerView. Since Office 2010 is installed locally on all client machines I would like to virtualize Excel 2013 (Click to Run) with these two addins. Licensing is no issue because an
    Office 365 subscription will be purchased.
    So, I have successfully sequenced Excel 2013 with AppV 5.0 SP1 via the Office Deployment Tool. It all seems too easy:
    First download sources (setup.exe /download configuration.xml)
    Second configure sources (setup.exe <xml file>)
    Last create the AppV package (setup.exe /packager <xml> <path to save .appv package>)
    My Configuration.xml file looks like this:
    <Configuration>
    <Add SourcePath="\\serverr\share" OfficeClientEdition="32" >
    <Product ID="ExcelRetail">
    <Language ID="en-us" />
    </Product>
    </Add>
    <Display Level="None" AcceptEULA="TRUE" />
    <Logging Name="Office2013Setup.txt" Path="%temp%" />
    <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" />
    </Configuration>
    But I end up with an Excel 2013 AppV package that:
    Doesn’t include the addins (no wonder because I didn’t sequenced it myself).
    All the 'first run wizards' popup at launch (Default File Type question & Welcome to your new Office). Normally I disable these with OCT for physical installations, or configure them while sequencing.
    Is there a way to disable the first run wizards in the “setup.exe /configure” step? And can I add Excel Addins during package creation? Or need I script this within the DeploymentConfig.xml/UserConfig.xml with a .reg import for example?
    Thanks,

    You said you used the Office Toolkit? In this you can set Disable Opt-in Wizard on first run.
    Was this used when installing on the sequencing machine?
    Alternatively you could attempt to launch excel during the sequencing phase and go through those menu's to ensure they don't launch on first launch of the virtual Excel. I believe that shouldn't be a problem since.
    For the Add-in's, it seems like you know they weren't included or connected in any way, that's likely the issue with those.

    I have a finalized project in iMovie '11.  Shared it on Youtube, Facebook, and Vimeo.  Then, when I shared it to iDVD, it reverted to a previous version of the project, so my titles and pictures were out of sequence.  Now, in my list of projects, my project is there, but finalized as the previous version which is all out of sequence.   My true final project is now gone!  What happend?
    I didn't notice this problem until after the DVD was burned in iDVD.  Then, when I played the DVD in a public setting, I was a bit embarrassed by what played.

    Hi
    My first thoughts are
    • iMovie ill behaving - Trash the iMovie pref file - use to set things right
    • in reg. to Photos - Did You change iPhoto Photo Library - Then iMovie get's lost as it peeks into iPhoto on start up to see where photos are stored. Set iPhoto back to first Photo Library (when iMovie is not running) then start iMovie.

  • How do I add a step to run at the beginning of an existing task sequence?

    I need a way to add a step to run at the beginning of an existing task sequence like you see up above. We need to do so to all task sequences that install software in our environment. I understand PowerShell very well but, I am not sure of how I would modify
    (if possible) an existing task sequence, let alone add a step to the beginning.
    This is super important and would most appreciated for any help. Thanks! :)
    http://i61.tinypic.com/2nlv8zb.png

    I understand how to perform the above action. I need to have that in a PowerShell script. I need to insert a "Install Package" step at the top of all 900+ task sequences with a specific package. I am good with PowerShell, just not that good.

  • When to use unattend.xml in task sequence - best practice?

    Hi, I've tried researching this but not found an answer to my specific query.
    We have ConfigMgr 2012 R2 with MDT 2013 although I don't think this is an MDT specific question.
    I'm trying to create a Build and Capture task sequence for our Windows Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 /2012R2 server builds utilising an UNATTEND.XML file to make some customisations that can be deployed for every build afterwards in a Deployment Task Sequence.
    Specifically the addition of some Windows Features like SNMP and it's configuration and the addition of the Telnet Client. There are other bits like language settings and configuration items but I'm specifically interested in the Features part for my question.
    In CM 2012R2 you now have the option under the "Apply Operating System" to use a captured image or an original installation source. However they work differently if you specify the use of the same unattended answer file.
    The "image" deployment ignores all of the "add features" sections of the XML file and the "installation source" loses the  configuration options from SNMP from the XML file. When you then deploy the captured image using
    the same unattend.xml again the one from the "installer" now has all the SNMP features required and the one from the "image" is still missing everything.
    So my question is as follows.
    What is best practice for specifying an unattend.xml file in a task sequence. Is it in the build and capture TS or in the Deployment TS ?
    or
    Do I need multiple XML files, one for build and capture with some bits in and another for deployment with the rest in?
    or
    Should I be doing something else?
    Although this is specifically asking about Server O/S we will be using the same methodology for Windows 7 deployment.

    In this case DISM is only used to add the actual features... for configuration you could use a simple script that runs afterwards. Sample registry file:
    SAMPLE REG FILE - HKLM-SNMP.reg
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SNMP\Parameters]
    "NameResolutionRetries"=dword:00000010
    "EnableAuthenticationTraps"=dword:00000001
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SNMP\Parameters\PermittedManagers]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SNMP\Parameters\RFC1156Agent]
    "sysServices"=dword:0000004f
    "sysLocation"=""
    "sysContact"=""
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SNMP\Parameters\TrapConfiguration]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SNMP\Parameters\TrapConfiguration\public]
    "1"="127.0.0.1"
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SNMP\Parameters\ValidCommunities]
    "public"=dword:00000004
    Sample batch file:
    SAMPLE SCRIPT FILE - ConfigureSNMPService.bat
    @ECHO OFF
    net stop "SNMP Service"
    regedit /s HKLM-SNMP.reg
    net start "SNMP Service"
    Also some settings for SNMP can be controlled through group policy:

  • Reg. Invalid batch according to selection criteria in batch determination

    Dear Experts
    I have configured newly batch management in our IDES ECC 6 system in which while posting the GRN I am getting the following error:
    Invalid batch according to selection criteria in batch determination
    Batch WHITE has already been posted in stock
    For batch WHITE of material YARN40SCMBD 1001, no class could be deter
    Deficit of PU Ordered quantity 5 KG : YARN40SCMBD 1001 YN01 WHITE
    and also the system response is
    For batch WHITE of material YARN40SCMBD 1001, no class could be determined
    Message no. M7207
    Diagnosis
    The system has been configured so that batches have to be classified for the current movement type. Since neither the material nor any batch of this material has been classified, batch &V1 cannot be classified for the current movement type.
    System Response
    Depending on how the system is configured, either a warning or an error message is issued.
    If the message issued is a warning (W), the system allows you to enter batch WHITE without classification. The warning is, however, issued to prevent you from making a wrong entry.
    If the message issued is an error message (E), you cannot post batch WHITE.
    Procedure
    You either have to classify material YARN40SCMBD in the material master or manually create batch WHITE in the batch master and classify the batch there.
    As soon as a class has been assigned to the material or a batch of this material, you can classify other batches of this material upon goods movements.
    Pls help me. how to solve this problem.
    Thanks
    Rajakumar.K

    Hi,
    Follow the steps:
    1.Field---VFDAT and table-MCHA should be created as a charecter in CT04 and assigned to a class in CL02N.
    2.create MM01 and add the class to it in classification view.
    3.In mm01 plt storage1 view give data for remainning shelf life and total shelf life and in purchasing view activate batch management.
    4.OMJ5- activate SLED for your plant and mvt type 201.
    5.opj2- set BD for your plant.
    6.create sort sequence in cu70 and assign your charecteristic value to it.
    7.create batch serch strategy in MBC1 for access sequence(plt/matrl/mvt typ) create a condition record.
    8.Do a GR using 501 and enter SLED related details.(production date and exp date values)
    Repeat the above step and enter diffrent values for SLED details.
    So now two batches are created with SLED as the charecteristic.
    9.Do a GI using 201 mvt tye in MB1A and enter * in batch field(system will determine the batch using the SLED value basedon the criteria(ascending or descending which was set in the sort rule.)
