exact problem is the moment when i go to accounting document cash discount 2% amount is showing in profitability analysis accont, infact it should not show ,

    Hi Expert,
With reference to the subject of: Customized columns for cash discount and % ...
I faced the problem of not able to set / defined hidden column for cash discount and % by creating a new variant.
    Steps:
    Create a variant
Click <administrator> button ... mark the columns hidden, and click <activate> button
    Then click <Save> button
Problem: Every time I using the F-53/F-28, the layout is not working, and when goto check the variant settings, the cash discount and % columns remained unchecked.
    SAP version: 4.6
    Kindly advise.

    Hi JP,
It is not working using field status group, as I am using F-53 and F-28 and not FB50/60/70.
The purpose I want to create variant for screen after clicking <process open item> is to control column display (hide cash discount and %).  if the variant is working, I can create a customized Tcode for the F-53 and F-28.
Now problem is that variant seem not working.

  • Query Regarding Cash discount In F110

    Dear all,
We have a payment terms 0003(14 days 3% cash Discount,20 Days 2% cash discount & within 30 days due net).
I have posted vendor invoice with this payment terms on 15.09.2009 & making payment to the vendor on the same day to avail 3% cash discount through F110 but when we go to edit proposal after scheduling proposal the system through an error Company codes XXXX/XXXX do not appear in proposal 15.09.2009 TEST; correct.
It do not allow us to make payment to vendor until the invoice becomes due.because of this we cannot take cash discount from vendors.
We have checked Max cash discount in All company codes in FBZP.
    Regards,
    D RANA

    Hi Deepak,
Try giving the next run date after the due date say after 35 days or si and keep the other parameters as you are using now. The payment should get included. Normally, SAP will check if the the document is getting over due or not in the next payment run date and includes it in the current only then.
    Please revert.

  • Help regarding Cash Position and groupings

    Hello Everybody,
I am encountering a problem regarding cash position. I already defined in FS00 all the necessary information needed, like planning levels, ticked cash flow relevant etc. I also made a posting via FB50 to these GL accounts.
I am not quite sure though how to create groupings? I created one via OT17, but when I was about to create, it said it doesn't belong in table T038P. So what I did was use a standard grouping, but unfortunately that didn't work. When I ran the report FF7A, it said "NO DATA SELECTED". Please help. I am new to cash management. Please comment if the procedure I did was correct. Thanks

  • Cash Discount Calculated for One Line Item and not for Other

    Hi All,
We have devloped a Z program which is used to Write of InterCompany AR and AP recon Account to another GL Account. In this program to clear line item we have created a BDC which calls t-code FB05. Thsi program is running perfectly fine for all company codes.
There is new company code SG20 for which it is not clearing the line items. It has created a Session in SM35, when we analysed the seesin we found that for some line items system is calculating Cash Discount and for some other line items it is not but the payment Term is same for all the douments with 3% 14days.
I need your help in understanding that why for some line items system calculates the Cash Discout where as for others it is not calculation..also the Posting Date is same for all the documents.
Please advise what could be the reson for this.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    VIvek Srivastava

    Hi
Cash discount is calculated based on the combination of baseline date and payment term conditions.
Hence please check the baseline date for all the documents, in which the cash discount is not appearing.
In your case, the possible reasons could be that 1) baseline date is different between these documents or 2) payment terms cash % is manually modified in the line item of the documents.

  • Cash Discount in a purchase order

    Hi,
I have a problem with Cash Discount in a purchase order .
When I create a purchase order in ME21N , and I need to put a cash discount in the condition of the header of the purchase order or  in item detail, the line cash discount appears automatically when I create a new purchase order with the same material.
Anybody could tell me why the Cash Discount  appears automatically?
    Thanks a lot
    Kari

    Hi,
There is a diference between cash discount and discount. Cash disocunt will never come in PO. It comes only during inoice.
The discount in PO is based on quantity. In your case it may ot be cash discount but a discount. It may come automatically because of one of the below reason.
    1. If you create a PO wih reference to the PO, which is having discount.
    2. If you maintain in Inforecord.

  • Need info on Cash discounts

    Hello,
I need some info on cash discounts.
I understand that cash discounts are applicable to the customer after he makes the payment. We issue credit memo.
But i dont understand the link b/n cash dicount conditon type (say SKTO/SKTV and payment terms )
How the cash discounts are linked to payment terms?
Whats the setting done for this?
    Could some one answer this?
    Regards,
    Krishna

Cash discount means the rate of cash discount.
Where do you find the details of how much cash discount to be given to the customer ?
It is stored in the "Payment Term".
Any organisation has got its Payment Term or Terms of Payment for the business.
For example, suppose to-day you have purchased some goods from me and I have a payment term in my organisation like below,
If you are paying me within 7 days, then you are eligible for 5% cash discount.
If you are paying me within 15 days, then you will get 2% cash discount. After this no cash discount and 30 days is the maximum credit days and within 30 days if you are not paying me , then I will charge suppose 20% interest on the amount from the 31st day onwards.
System gets this information regarding the Cash discount, from  this Payment Term.
For Cash discount , there is a special condition type "SKTO". This is a statistical condition type. Condition type SKTO retrieves the cash discount rate to be given, from the Payment Term.
Condition type SKTO does not have any access sequence and its finds out the cash discount rate from the payment in the Table "T052" (in this table all cash discounts are stored).
To find this cash discount rate SKTO uses its condition category "E".

  • Cash discount calculated even after the due date in F110

    Hi Friends,
Invoice and Credit memo is created with the reference to PO, but when the payment is made to the vendor through F110 the cash discount is calculated on the credit memo even though it has passed the due date.
Let me know what else is remaining that has to be checked and corrected
    Regards
    Paddy

Check the following configuration:  t-code FBZP -> All Company Codes -> double-click on the relevant company code to display the details.
In the "Cash discount and tolerances" section, I'm thinking that you'll find that the "Max.cash discount" check box is checked.  This check box tells F110 to always take the discount, even if the terms have expired.  If you uncheck the box, then F110 will only take the discount within terms.

  • Payment Terms- Cash Discount based on Unit

    Dear Friends,
I am Rajesh Parmar, I have problem in defining the payment terms for Sales and distribution in SPRO,
In the Standard SAP System, Payment terms has been define with percentage base cash discount for days ( e.g Within 14 days 2 % Cash Discount).
As per my business requirement, I want to have  payment terms like " Payment within 4 days INR 3 per Unit Cash Discount ", and INR 3 per Unit should shows during incoming payment from the customer, if customer is making payment within 4 days
Kindly provide the solution for the above problem
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
The documents which are already posted can not be changed. Alternatively reverse the posted document by using mass reversal then you post the new documents with new rules for this old transactions.

  • Cash discount clearing (Net method)

    All
I require clarification, There are two scenarios. One to calculate discount while making payment and another one is while booking invoice.
I am clear regarding "To calculate discount while making payment"
I am not clear on "To calculate discount whlie invoice booking". I am aware of the FBKP config settings
I had gone thru the SDN links and not clear of "The Cash Discount Clearing Account is only used when the 'Net Procedure'
option is selected in the Accounting tab of the 'AP Invoice' function."
What is that "AP invoice function". Where can we find ?
    Regards
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
We have configured our ECC6.0 system to the Gross method, which means that at the time of the payment program, it takes the discount (if applicable).  My understanding of the Net method is that it calculates the discount at the time of the invoice posting HOWEVER we chose not to use that method, because the Amount Split tab is not available in that method and we need to split our invoices for tax reasons (where part of the invoice is tax reportable/deductable but not all).
To configure GROSS vs NET discount:
    1.  set up an expense GL account for Gross.  Set up a balance sheet account for Net
    2.  Goto FBKP, Automatic Postings, Cash discount and payment differences, Cash discount clearing (SKV) and enter the expense GL Account.  (the NET method needs a balance sheet account GL here)
    3.  Then go to SPRO
Under Financial Accounting (New)\AR&AP\Business Transactions\Outgoing Payments\Outgoing Payments Global Settings\Define Accounts for Cash Discount Taken (OBXU)
For Gross setting, enter the same expense GL Account.  Net setting should have the balance sheet account.
    4.  Under Financial Accounting (New)\AR&AP\Business Transactions\Outgoing Payments\Outgoing Payments Global Settings\Define Accounts for Lost Cash Discount (OBXV)
For Gross settting, this should be blank.  Net setting should have the balance sheet account here also.
    5.  Under Financial Accounting (New)\Financial Accounting Global Settings\Document\Document Type\Define Document Types (OBA7) for Entry View Click on all your Invoice Document Types
There is a box labeled Control data and then there is a checkbox labeled Net document type.
For Gross Config, that checkbox should be blank (unchecked).
We have found that using the GROSS setting requires us to create our own discounts lost/earned report based upon the payment program proposal logs.
    Does that help?

  • Cash discount in taxinn

    Dear Gurus,
I am purchasing a excisable  material with following details. Basic= 100Rs, BED,AED,ECS,say 14Rs. Total inclusive of taxes =100+14=114 Rs. Now cash discount 4 Rs. So new total for CST=110. On this new total 4% cst. How to do this as all this calculation happens in TAXINN and there is as such no provision for cash discount (% and value) in between tax calculation as said above. How to do this. Without cash discount I am doing this by creating a tax code and in taxcode I am using various conditions for calculation of excise with CST & That is working fine without cash discount . But I dont know how to include cash discount after excise and before CST/VAT.IS there any condition for cash discount in taxinn?
How to do this? Please guide.
    Thanx in advance.
    Regards
    Nilesh

    You can try this workaround....
Create a condition type and assign it to purchasing schema and to this condition type use the subtotal for eg D, E etc in which you pass this value to some variable and in Taxinn procedure you can write routine in CalType which it will copy value from this variable and assign to this condition type.
With this you can enter the percentage in purchasing schema and this will flow in taxxin  procedure.

  • Accrued Cash Discount

    Hi All,
My client has the following business scenario,
If the amount is paid within 30 days, there is a cash discount of say 2%. When the goods are sold following is the accounting entry created,
    Debtors Ac ........Dr
       To Sales Ac............Cr
       To Accrued Cash Disc Ac....Cr
Now if the amount is paid within 30 days, a credit note is issued by the customer. Following accounting entry is passed,
    Accrued Discount Ac..........Dr
       To Debtors Account...............Cr
However if the amount is not paid within 30 days, the cash discount amount remains in the Accrued Cash Discount account whereby the sales should have been increased. Hence the amount in Accrued Cash Discount needs to be transferred to Sales Account.
Is there any standard SAP solution to determine such amount from the Accrued Cash Discount account (i.e. amount for greater than 30 days) so that we can post this amount to Sales account.
    Thanks in advance!!
    Best Regards,
    Aman Goel

if it is possible to do the below activities, it would help in avoiding reentry of accounting transactions.
    1) at the time of billings the below entry would be passed.
    Debtors Ac ........Dr
    To Sales Ac............Cr
    cash discount ac........Dr  (P&L item)
To Accrued Cash Disc Ac....Cr (balance sheet item)
what happens with this is that your sales does not get reduced. they remain intact and corresponding discount is taken care of by charging to P&L. This is with the presumption that customer would pay us the amount within the due date.
    2) on the date of payment, say using F-28 or inward clearing using IDOC or any other mode of receipt, the below would be the entry
    bank accoutn   ......DR
    accrued cash disc ac  Dr.
    customer       ...............CR
due to this the accrued cash discount is reversed to the extent allowable based upon the terms of payment.
for doing the above things there are couple of things you need to:
firstly, in the pricing procedure you need to assign the GL account and accrual gl account for the cash discount and accrual cash discount (tcode ONU7). this is done with respect to a condition type. cofigure the codition type also.
secondly configure the same accrual cash discount account in tcode - OBXI
thirdly, maintain for the condition record in step 1 the discount rate.

  • Cash discount & Overpayment,Underpayment

Kindly explain me the procedure, settings and what G/L accounts had to be assigned  in obxu, obxl. for cash discount and overpayment and underpayment for customer and vendor and how about the Tolerances for user, customer and vendor what settings have to be done and how they reflect.
    Thank u
    Narender

    A) Cash Discount-
1.Financial Accounting (New) ---> Accounts receivables and Accounts Payables --->Business Tansactions ->Outgoing Payments->Outgoing Payments Global Settings--->Define Accounts for Cash Discount Taken
    T-code- OBXU
2.Enter the your chart of accounts . Choose Continue
    3.Enter account number
Here you define the account numbers for your cash discount expense accounts. The system posts the cash discount amount to these accounts when clearing open items.
    4.Save your entry.
    B) OverPayment /Underpayment-
Financial Accounting (New)->Accounts receivables and Accounts Payables->Business Transactions->Outgoing Payments->Outgoing Payments Global Settings--->Define Accounts for Overpayments/Underpayments
    T-code-OBXL
2.Enter the your chart of accounts . Choose Continue
    3.Enter account number
Again account is Expense account.Reason for creating this one is because of following reason
There is a difference in payment. The difference can result from an underpayment or an overpayment.
The difference is within the tolerance limits for an automatic adjustment posting. The difference cannot be posted via cash discount adjustments.
    4.Save your entry.
    Like wise,
Transaction code OBA1-Defining Account for Rounding Differences
Transaction code OBXO-Define Accounts for Payment Differences with Altern. Currency
Transaction code OBXK-Defining Accounts for Bank Charges (Vendors)
Transaction code OBXI-Defining Accounts for Cash Discount Granted
Transaction code OBYH-Defining Accounts for Bill of Exchange Transactions
Hope this is help you in understanding.
If you want more clearity, please let me know.

  • Reg: material cash discounts

    hello friends,
I understand that cash discounts taken from vendors will do settings in OBXU, OBB8.
for MIGO cash discounts where we do the cash discount configuration, is that in OBYC, if so let me know the transaction we use for that.
i knew that for  cash discount G/L account we select the post automatically setting in FS00.
actually user posting MIRO transations, with payment terms as 2% discount for 10 days later that full payment, and baseline date is taken as document date in OBB8.
but after 10 days also system is calculating discount for MIRO transactions.
Please let me know in this regard.
    Thanks,
    HK

    Hi
Calculating discount after the due date is may be due to the no. of grace days mentioned in the Grace days due date field under Specifications for Clearing transactions Tab in OBA3 Customer/Vendor Tolerances. Remove the no. of grace days mentioned from the field and do manual clearing to avoid discount after the due date.
Grace days are Number of days by which the payment deadlines may be exceeded when manual payments are made. In the payment entry facilities, the grace days are added to the payment deadlines.  This means that the system will accept cash discount deductions and net payments even after the original deadline. If the days in arrears are displayed during open item processing, the system reduces them by the number of grace days.
    (OR)
Calculating discount after the due date is may be due to the no. of tolerance days mentioned in the Tolerance days for payable field under Cash discount and tolerances Tab in OBVU (FBZP-All Company Codes-Maintain Payment Program-APP Configuration). Remove the no. of tolerance days mentioned from the field and do automatic clearing in F110 to avoid discount after the due date.
Tolerance days for payables specifies the number of days by which the cash discount periods and period for the due date for net payment may be exceeded. When determining the due date, the system adds the number of days specified here to the dates. Payment is then sometimes made after the exact date in the terms of payment.
    Thanks

  • Clearing issue Incoming payment due to Cash discount ( customers)

    Hello,
During processing automatic incoming payments the system don't clear the customer open item in case the customer has taken a cash discount.
The clearing should be done automatically in the posting area 2 but now the the user needs to do manual interventions in the FEBAN in order to clear the customer
We checked the payment terms and verified the discount taken by the customer and they are ok
After investigation we guess that the original SD invoice don't send the Discount amount and Discount base amount to FI, because  we saw that those fields are empty in the FI document (RV),
Also in Billing the Cash discount base field in empty...
When i tried to create a manual customer invoice those fields are well filled in and the system clears the customer open item perfectly !
Any one an idea how to fix it ?

    Hello,
Thanks for your feedback but the issue is not solved.
Is there difference in clearing behaviour in case the open item posting is orginated from  a SD invoice ( Billing) because as stated before, when I make a FI sales invoice (FB60) the system perfectly accepts the cash discount and post and clears in postingarea 2
Also when I consult the open item position (FBL5N) the cash discount amount field is empty which is not the case when I post an FB60 invoice
    Summarized
We are usiing the automatic bank statement program ( FEBC), during posting the system post perfectly posting area 1 (FEBP) but fails the post postingarea 2 ( the system makes a payment advice) the message the system generates ' Difference to large for clearing F5263'
    Many thanks for help
