Regarding catching the Ms-word styles in the form of HTML

HI,
I have created a program which is used for storing the data in a custom table. I have given to the user to edit the value available in the database with the help of ms-office. I need a help how to catch the styles like BOLD , italic,  underline.... etc...can u plz give me a method or Class which is used to capture the user input values in the same style in the form of HTML.

That would be a rather complex VBA macro or OLE2 calls if you use OLE2 to connect MS Word to SAP.
Why don't you use a simple SAP editor, like the one used to edit long texts? (EDIT_TEXT function module, see RSTXTCAT as a simple example program). There is bold, italic, etc., and you get data like the following (if you use B, I, U character formats for bold, italic, underline respectively):
<B>bold&lt;/> <I>italic&lt;/> <U>underline&lt;/>
You can convert them easily and cleanly into HTML using CONVERT_ITF_TO_HTML for example.

    The only thing I can think of is to leave the email as a draft and add a reminder  (using the "Reminders" app) to send it at a certain day and time.
    The other way would be to create a calendar event to which you attach an script that sends the email.

    In an Interactive Report I use

    to show an icon that eventually downloads (and shows) a word document.
    Now I have a form layout html region and I want to have the same icon\link to show a document.The document however is not in the same table as the rest of the page is based on.
    How can I show the document on this page?

    One way, create a hidden item, and return the value into it from your package (by having a computation that calls the function package.f_get_document_type(:P1_DOC_ID) . Let's say it's called :P1_DOC_TYPE
    There's a new item type in Apex 4, which is Display Image.
    When you get to settings in the item creation wizard, specify what the image is based on. From there, you can set it to be 'Image URL stored in Page item Value. Then on the source page, you can just specify the URL, #WORKSPACE_IMAGES#&P1_DOC_TYPE.

  • Icons are not visible when the form is run

    I develop a form with only a push button. I developed form using oracle 10DS. I have saved my form in application server. To see an icon in my button, i did the following things:
    1. In application server i made a jar named test.jar. It consists of just two gif images.
    2. I copied this jar in application server's \forms90\java directory
    3. I configured formsweb.cfg file as the following.
    4. my \form90\java\oracle\forms\registry\registry.dat is as the following.
    whenever i run form i can not see icon but in client's oracle jar cache jar is downloaded.

    I tried many times. But could not be successful. Then I just kept my icons in
    \forms90\java directory without making jar. In my form, icon file name is the icon name without extension. Here, i can see my icon in button. but if i replace an icon
    without changing the name of the icon, then i always see the old icon. The new icon, i can not see.
    Please, help me with only Oracle 10g AS how i can see icon in button. Let's assume, there is not oracle 10g DS (any development tool) in the machine where the form is run.
    Please, guide me clearly step by step so that i might be successful.

    It works fine with JInitiator but not working with
    the JPI. For JPI what settings I need to do ??hi TKARIM and Bernard, i am having similar problem even with the Bernard's recommended setup. could you post the webutiljini.htm (i presume you are using config=test) ?
    i am actually using jinitiator 1.3.1.28 with Oracle HTTP Server of OAS 10gR2) calling Forms Server 6i (f60cgi). After setting up according to Bernard's recommended setup steps, the java console showed that it loaded the icon jar file when it could not read the form, but it skipped the loading of the icon jar file once it read and started the form. How do we specify in the form to pick up the icon from the jar file instead from a directory ? Or do we need to specify ? Any ideas ?

  • FRM-92101- There is a failure in the form server during startup.

    Hi,
    I'm deploying a forms 10g application . I'm using Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services 10.1.2.0.2 under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, along with an Oracle 10g Database on another server. Every time I try testing the form services using http://10.0.4.114:7778/forms/frmservlet it brings out the errorFRM-92101- There is a failure in the form server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web server log file for detail
    Right now, I'm a bit lost. Can anyone please tell me if there is some parameter I have to set, or something I should do to make it work?

    I did not make changes to those files. The forms services are working on another server with Red hat Rel 4 and 3 . What I did is to configure a new server with Red Hat Rel 5 , took the backup of all the forms binaries and the HOME and restore on the new server. I did the same thing for a server running rel 4 and it has no issue:

  • Unable to run the form in another Widow

    Hi Form,
    I have configured the Oracle 10gDS on WindowsXP Professional to work with Oracle 9i Database. When I am executing a form instead of opening in a seperate Browser window, it is opening in the same browser windows. What are all the requisite changes I should make in formsweb.cfg.

    Looking also for an app that allows me to merge email and send them out to each recipient individually. Apparently that's not possible yet. Here's what the guys at RedbitsApps told me about Group Email capabilities: 
    "The current version of the app relies on the device operating system to send the emails. For this reason, sending individual email instead of a single email to multiple recipients is not possible. Apple doesn't allow apps to send single emails to many recipients easily. We may use a custom sending software in a future version."

    I donot know about Java Speech API.
    But it is possible to recognize with Sphinx API.

  • Help to catch the output of a Transaction

    Hi,
    I have this issue and need help, I have a program lets say "ZPROGRAM", this programs calls a RFC "ZFUNC" this function must be able to send the parameters to execute a SAP standard transaction for example MB51, the function must send the plant number, storage location, and material number, then this RFC must catch the output of the report into an internal table so that i can work with the output in "ZPROGRAM", in other words what I see on screen as result of MB51 I need it in an internal table so that I can manupulate the data.
    I hope someone could tell me how to accomplish this.

  • ALV OOP- Catching the event when the user clicks a cell

    Hi Experts,
    i have 2 alvs to display using custom containers, now the problem is that i need to make some lines uneditable and some lines editable. On making this i find that ALV does not offer this functionality of selective editable rows, right? I offered a workaround by just popping an error message if a user clicks a row which suppose to be disabled/uneditable. My problem is that how can i catch the single click event in ALV using OOP?

    creating Editable Cells in ALV
    Making a column editable in ALV:
    IT_FIELDCAT is an internal table which has the structure of the data to be displayed. Each row in this internal table creates a column in ALV. The fieldcat structure has an optional field u2018EDITu2019 which is not required to be passed all the time. By default the column is non-editable. If the value of the field EDIT is u2018Xu2019, that column becomes editable in the display.
    Example:
      wa_fieldcat-fieldname = 'CHECK'.
      wa_fieldcat-edit      = 'X'.
      wa_fieldcat-coltext   = 'Delete'.
      APPEND wa_fieldcat TO it_fieldcat.
      CLEAR wa_fieldcat.
    The column DELETE in the ALV display is editable. The corresponding output internal table field name is CHECK.
    Making individual cells editable or non-editable:
    1.     Include an internal table of type lvc_t_styl in the output internal table (as a field) of the ALV. This inner table is like other output fields of the internal table.
    Example:
    TYPES: BEGIN OF tt_project,
                check TYPE c,
                status(132) TYPE c,
                it_styletab TYPE lvc_t_styl.       
    TYPES: END OF tt_project.
    2.     This inner internal table controls the style of each cell in the row of the output internal table.
    3.     Same like other fields of the output internal table, this style table (inner internal table) should be filled for each row of the table.
    4.     The structure of the output internal table.

    X     ABC     Fieldname     Style
    CHECK     Non-editable(MC_STYLE_DISABLED)

    6.     If the fieldname is not provided for the style internal table, the entire row becomes editable or non-editable.
    7.     This provides the ability to enable input for a cell dynamically.
    8.     The layout of the ALV Grid should also be changed in order to achieve this. The layout has a parameter, u2018STYLENAMEu2019. The name of the style internal table should be given as the value for this field. The layout should be passed in SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY.
         Example:
         wa_layout-stylefname = 'IT_STYLETAB'.

    you can use an AttributeSet to apply the foreground color. Let's say, doc is a HTMLDocument, then SimpleAttributeSet set = new SimpleAttributeSet();
